37. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?

Nothing! She is doing an amazing job and I recommend this class to everyone! She loves to teach and loves what she teaches and it shows, and she makes it easy to go to class and learn.

Establish from day 1 that computers re not allowed in class. It just makes the process easier for everyone

I honestly can't think of anything, this was a really interesting class and she is passionate about the topic and was really helpful and always there for the students.

This class was one of my favorite classes I have taken in my college career and Mrs. Vallin had a lot to do with me loving the class. Not only did she make the material easy and fun to understand, she was very approachable and was enthusiastic about the subject that encouraged me to want to learn more.

I think the way Lisa teaches this course is perfect, don't change a thing!

Its a hard problem, but it would be nice to somehow get the students off their computers and phones because it is distracting.

Maybe having more clicker questions would be helpful in making sure students are understanding the material. Maybe posting the powerpoints might be helpful. Also, updating the lecture reader so that it is a little easier to follow would be great. Also, sometimes the lectures seemed rushed and went by very fast and it was hard to take in all the information being presented. Perhaps the more difficult topics, like hormones, could be presented a little slower or maybe just spend a little more time on it, like repeating concepts, so that it can be drilled into our head and we students can remember things better.

The only thing about the class that I think NEEDS to be changed, is an index in the back of the course reader.

She already does a great job and I enjoy learning from her because she is always so enthusiastic and it makes the course more interesting.

38. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?

Too many things to list. I absolutely loved this class and wish she taught other ones because I would definitely take them all.

I really appreciated how we were able to work in groups in class as well as on the quizzes and online tests. She was very good at thoroughly explaining things and able to clarify any questions that arose. I love her teaching method and she was very understanding to the life of college students and accommodated her class well to fit our needs. I appreciated the reader we used for the lectures and how they coincided very well with the lectures, which was very helpful and resourceful for the class work and quizzes.

She is very quick to respond to emails and wants students to succeed

That she is willing to take the time to help us out and she always emails back quickly and puts all of our grades on Laulima right away. She is really on top of things which I appreciate because so many professors are not like that.

I thought the quizes really helped me grasp concepts. Especially the fact that I could retake them.

The videos were the most valuable and helpful. Helped me better understand concepts. Also, the instructor's personal experiences (stories) were helpful as well.

I find that the communication with student was very helpful. She responds to emails very quickly which helps a lot. Also giving student to improve helps tremendously. Great Teacher

She used many examples and pictures. Video examples and her guidebook made studying a lot easy because everything was well organized.

She is very flexible with assignments, she is very easily accessible, and is always more than willing to help with any questions or difficulties students may be having.

I liked the way she was easily accessible if we needed help. She was understanding if I couldnt make a deadline for a paper or online tests. She also taught about awkward subjects in not awkward ways and that was nice because we were in a big lecture hall, and it could get pretty awkward while watching people masterbate and giving birth.

The online quizzes every week, pop-quizzes, self assessments, response papers, extra credits that she gives. Her knowledge on the information she provides is phenomenal. Great speaker. She speaks very loud and clear. Never a dull moment, very interactive with the students.

Lisa has been my favorite lecture at the university so far. She approached many topics not commonly talked yet was still able to make me feel comfortable in the class. It really changed the way I think towards social "norms". I believe this course is a real eye opener for narrow minded views and I would recommend it to all students

She was very easy to talk to, and answered emails on time (which is very nice as an instructor). Lisa Vallin was very clear in explanations and made sure we understood the concepts. She also gave enough extra credit opportunities for people to succeed which is really awesome because you can tell she cares.

Tought material that was more applicable to everyday life.

She was really understanding of my excused absences and she made it easy to make up any missed grades or activities that I was not able to participate in class with.

She has been helpful with a multitude of things. The first being that she tries to make the material stimulating by having videos and people come by to speak. The second is that she tries to help all of her students and is very good in emailing students. The last thing is that she does her best in teaching her students (there are professors in this university that I wish would take example from her).

She was very understanding of my situation.

She was very passionate about the course and the material. She was very fair towards grading and offered many extra credit opportunities throughout the course which I liked.

Her teaching style

Lisa was open, and comfortable, and lastly entertaining about the subject matter. Sex is most times a taboo topic for majority of us, and Lisa's personality and humor definitely relaxed us and made us want to learn more! Also, Lisa was flexible and accomodating to deadlines and assignments. Lisa was also very prompt and returned ALL of my emails, and I probably emailed her over 10 times this semester. It was apparent that she wanted us to learn and try our best, rather than stress out and try to "half ass" something. More professors need to follow Lisa.

The "down to earth" kind of attitude. Was very friendly and open to opinions and help

She is very enthusiastic and explains the topics that could be considered awkward in humorous and fun way. Her lectures were interesting and easy to follow.

She was always open to discussion and flexible about anything that came up. She was easy to approach and talk to and very reasonable. I enjoyed her class very much.

48. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?

Everything about this course was great, the class participation, the guest speakers, her personal stories, and the lectures were always interesting. Hardly a dull moment in her class.

I liked the fact that the course promoted working as a group or with a partner. I find that I learn well when working with others (teaching to them what I know and vice versa). I also liked the guest speakers and the personal stories; they made the class more interesting and I really enjoyed coming to class every day and learning about the material.

Vallin is a helpful professor and she uses great audio visuals for example

The topic of this course is interesting itself. I feel that every topic that we learned was somewhat new concepts that I never imagine to learn. I now have a clear understanding of sex differences in life cycle. I'm glad that Lisa was able to teach the subject very clearly.

I enjoyed the guest speakers the best because it put a real life spin on the subjects we were learning. The midwives taught me a lot about home births and made me reconsider my options for when that stage in my life occurs.

All the honesty Lisa had with the different topics. The videos she showed and the enthusiasm she taught with. The pop quizzes were nice and a boost in points as well.

I liked the extra credit opportunities like the AIDS walk. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the movies and the discussions, but if I was available during the showings, I probably would have gone. I think having the quizzes online and having multiple attempts was good, as well as being able to collaborate on exams. It just takes off a load of pressure, which is really nice.

Very clear. Also there was extra credit opportunities incase you messed up in one area of your grade.

I liked the group works because it was application of what we learned so that it can commit better to memory.

I enjoyed the variety in lecturing tools. Lots of lectures, slides, videos, guest speakers, etc.

vallin herself, she is a great professor and great personality.

The aspects of the course that I like the best are being engaged in the lectures with clicker questions, even the anonymous questions were fun because it gives us a chance to truly be ourselves. I also love the guest speakers, hearing outside sources and having people come in and share there stories was really special.

The fact that she went over things more than once so we can get it in better things.

I liked the small groups in class, because I got to know people and it became easier to talk about sex than before. I also enjoyed the half online and half lecture. I enjoyed taking my exams and quizes online, I wish every class was like that. It actual makes me nervous now for my final exam that it is in the classroom!

I don't think that this class needs any improvement. Lisa Vallin is doing a great job, and she makes her students want to learn. She keeps the material interesting and fresh, and doesn't make usually awkward subject awkward at all.

Could possibly do more in-class group activities, since that seemed to stimulate our thinking and helps to not just sit in a lecture the whole class period, but also to discuss with others.

I think that this course is better suited for a smaller setting. The content and group discussions would be more succesful if they weren't in a lecture class

I think the paper deadlines should be hard deadlines so students don't get tempted to put it off and fall behind. I also think it would be nice if extra credit film opportunities could be scheduled on several days instead of just one.This would allow more opportunity for students who want to participate but may not be able to make it on a specific day to attend.

I really liked the videos in class. Some were for pure entertainment while others introduce human aspects and provide more concrete examples of the material.

The real life application of everything was by far the most useful. Also the course structure with quizes and the flexible schedule for them was very appreciated.

Absolutely stellar professor. She should be promoted to chair of a sexology department. She is fantastically brilliant, enthusiastic, energetic, had a depth of information, she is truly an asset to UH. I will miss being challenged by her course.

Lisa is a great teacher. I really enjoy going to her class, solely on the fact she is so passionate about teaching and makes everything fun.

There was an extremely open atmosphere. Students were allowed to agree and disagree and post questions in regards to the course material.

I liked EVERYTHING about this course. Easily the best class I've taken throughout college.

Lisa Vallin was such an excellent teacher. I can honestly say that I love her and her teaching styles! Some of the material that we learned was not easy to grasp for me but she is always willing to help and always has time for her students. I know she mentioned that she was a PhD student herself, so I give her so much credit to be able to teach, prepare and organize this course as well as focus in her studies. I definitely learned so many things that I thought I never would and she made it super clear and she made me feel comfortable in learning these kinds of subjects. Overall, I would definitely recommend this class to others because you can learn a lot.

I particularly enjoyed the various methods of learning that were incorporated into this course. These included videos, small group work, an iClicker, online quizzes, and guest lecturers. While they may not suit everyone, I learned to be open to trying new learning styles. The class as a whole was very interactive and geared toward student participation and feedback - a nice change from traditional lecture courses. The course reader was helpful by presenting material in a clear and concise fashion. Finally, the course content was very interesting and applicable to the real world. As a result, I am more educated and aware of everything related to sex and sexuality.

I absolutley loved this class. Lisa is the BEST teacher for this course. If it wasnt for her the class would not have been as fun as it was. Because of how she lectrured and her style of teaching it made learnign easy and fun; not like work at all. Every day coming to the class was exciting because it was always fascinating to learn. What I liked best about this course was the atmosphere in which the course was provided. It gave us the comfort to openly ask questions, hear and absorb material that can be considered controversial but is important, and also gave us the space to openly talk about concerns or thoughts we had.

The quizzes should be multiple choice, it is frustrating to have to pick out all the answers to one question. The guest speakers from the Life Foundation were not really that informative or interesting.

I believe that more guest speakers would've been great. Other than that, I think that the class is pretty great as it is.

Nothing i think the only thing is the class is so long and gets a little tedious lecturing the whole time. But that is completely out of her control for class time.

The speaker that spoke for over 50 minutes about her life with HIV was an absolute waste of my time. The girl was repeating herself over and over and she was a horrible speaker. The two men from the Life Foundation were excellent speakers however the girl went over her time and cut into their time and they were the ones that everyone wanted to hear from.

No attendance would help people receive better grades. Also November 21 was the last day for exams before finals and its November 28 and there is still one exam left (which we still are not sure when it is).

Some videos were probably unnecessary and we may have covered more material had we not watched them, but they were good nonetheless.

Change the location of the classroom. It was hard to answer questions due to the size of the room and wasn't a very welcoming atmosphere despite Vallins open personally and efforts to make it so. No one wants to yell "Vagina" across a lecture hall, but in a smaller classroom could have obtained more class participation.

I would say that the best way this course could be improved is having some sort of way for the students to interact into the lectures with the iClicker system, besides the quizzes and attendance. Maybe if you can find a way to ask a question and have someone answer with the iClicker, or find some way so that you make sure students are engaging, because it is such a large class.

Learning how we can change our attitudes to be more accepting of others

The videos and group discussion in the course really helped me to understand the materials at hand.

What I found valuable in this course is that it not only covers the biological areas, such as how to determine our genetic makeup, but it also covered areas that many of us were interested in. For example we covered different types of protection for safe sex and we also learned and know what STD's look like.

I love the flexibility of the course. It's great how Lisa allows extra time on the weekly quizzes/assignments if needed. She completely understands the hectic lifestyle of being a student and works really well with students to ensure success.

The videos that presented the viewpoints and perspectives of people in situations we discussed helped to understand a lot of the class material more effectively.

The content of the course was very interesting. It made me want to attend every class. Use of video clips was very helpful and entertaining. Quizzes helped me stay on track in the course. I like how we are allowed to use cheat sheets for the final exam.

Honestly, there wasn't one thing within the course that I didn't find fascinating and relevant to my life. I feel that the material in this course was extremely thorough, but would be interested in expanding my knowledge of sexuality. I've mentioned this in class, and it still amazes me, but one thing that I learned was how personally unique every woman's vagina is. I had never seen so many vaginas until this course. It sounds funny, but I find it very interesting because it's indicative of the lack of sexual education I and many of my fellow students have been exposed to. Being a female, you'd think I would have know more about the female physiology, but I found myself ignorant on many basic things. The instructor always made me feel very comfortable with voicing my opinions or asking any questions I had. I always appreciate a teacher with this quality because I've definitely found that, not only is does it make the class more interesting for me, but I'm also able to retain the information better when I'm actively involved in the material. As far as the structure of the course, this was one of the best I've ever taken. I really liked the 'reader and lecture guide'. I find that when I'm too busy trying to write down everything from the slides, I oftentimes miss vital points that the instructor is trying to get across. The instructor was also very understanding to the fact that life is hectic, and that no matter how hard you try, sometimes deadlines are missed. Her leniency, when it came to the assignments, actually made me want to try harder and to be a better student for her. I sincerely hope I have the good fortune to have many more instructors like her, but unfortunately I feel she is a rare breed.

Lisa was such an interesting and honest lecturer. She used so many different types of media to explain different concepts (videos/diagrams/pictures/graphs etc). She was honest and open and forced us to really think about the subject matter.

Lisa was the most valuable and helpful asset of this course. She really knows everything about her subject. I really did not have many questions about the subject because she is very thorough in her teaching. And even when the lectures were boring subject matter, such as anatomy, she still tried her best to make it interesting, which is something very hard to do for college students in a two hour lecture after a lunch break. She is always positive and always willing to help out, and I honestly would have been too embarrassed about a lot of aspects of this course and writing papers for it. But Lisa is so nice and I didn't feel awkward. I would say her good attitude has really helped me to want to try harder and to really learn more because she is really passionate about it. I have never seen her have a bad day. And even if she has, or if she has a meeting after the class, she never makes anyone feel rushed if they have a quick question and she is always polite and helps us out. She also has a lot of funny stories and I seriously laugh half the class. Thanks Lisa! If you have any more Bio courses I would love to take them!

I believe Lisa is an excellent instructor. Her communication of the material is very good. This is one of the few classes where I am able to absorb much of the information almost instantly. Lisa is also very enthusiastic about the subject, which I believe further engages the students in class. She also uses a variety of methods to teach the class: videos, powerpoint lectures, class discussions, group discussions, and pop quizzes. I believe that teaching the class using a variety of methods keeps the students at "the top" of almost everything. There are many positive aspects of Lisa's teaching. I would be fortunate to come across an instructor who possesses the wonderful qualities Lisa does as an instructor.

more extra curricular activities outside of class

This course could be improved with more outside activities (movie screenings, special events, etc.) More guest speakers would also make the class more interesting.

I almost wish there were more out of class papers to write. It was fun for me to use what I learned in class and apply it to what I have been perceiving the subjects as outside of class and put two and two together.

I would say that the only thing that could be improved would be the pictures involving STIs.

Maybe keeping the biology sections together so we arenÊ»t jumping around and forgetting certain matierials we learned early on.

Maybe decrease the amount of writing assignments so it would give Lisa less work to do on corrections. The self-assessments could be more easy to grade if it was more like a survey/questionnaire, rather than an essay.

I truly don't know that it could be improved and still be as comprehensive and interesting. Maintaining focus in this class requires it to be interesting and that it was.

This course might improve in a smaller class size. Since it deals with a lot of sensitive issues, I think students might get more out of it by experiencing it on a more intimate dynamic. Few students answered aloud in the lecture hall when dealing with sexually charged topics.

I absolutely loved this course. it is so fun and enjoyable, while participating in this class I was able to learn so much while we were having fun and joking around. It was a very fun and interesting class.

Class activities could give some credit (than we should also have had more time to them), but I think people do a better job when they know they are being graded.

There were a few technical difficulties with the audio during some of the videos that I feel should be improved.

Definitely a different classroom would help with the group discussions and I don't feel the text helped very much. Eventually I stopped looking at it altogether.

She is a very enthusiastic teacher. Coming to her class was not a chore, she made it enjoyable for everyone, even during the harder subject matter

Every single night after class I would literally talk for hours at the dinner table about what we learned in class. From pregnancy to sex to stds. I taught my famliy everything i learned in class becuase it was all so interesting! I loved it and i would definitely recomment it to anyone who needs the class or just needs the credit! Great class. I can't believe i signed up for it just for the credit and came out of it with so much more! Great job and keep doing what you're doing Lisa, you are a great teacher and person!

Lovely, energetic, fair-minded and sweet teacher. Also has strength where and when necessary to get a little tough (perhaps when students are not giving their all, or slacking off a little). It takes a great teacher to facilitate these qualities.

Wonderful course and I wish she taught more!

This was a fun class. I think lots of people can learn lots of things from taking this class. I never knew I would be able to see so much graphic pictures but it's the nature of life that we live with and it's a good opportunity to see STDs and pictures that we probably wouldn't have been able to see had we not taken this course. I would recommend many people to take it, especially college students.

Weekly quizzes were somewhat pointless because you could just get the answers after the first attempt...

I think the way she runs class is great, doesn't need improvement

Adapt the lecture guide for Hawaii instead of San Francisco. (That being said I loved the lecture guide. It really helped me learn even if some of the material isn't relevant!) Also make sure the Trans speaker comes for other semesters. I have a feeling that actually seeing a Trans person, and hearing them speak, will change people =)

i thought she did a great job of helping us learn the material. I enjoyed the weekly quized. If it weren't for those I definitely would have fallen behind on my reading and on the learning in general.

She is awesome there is not much needed for improvement.

Lisa was a very good teacher, one of the best that I have had at UH Manoa. She is very considerate. I liked the fact that she really cared about the students. Although there were due dates, she was very flexible. I met all deadlines on time but just to know that she was willing to consider the students was awesome. She mentioned in class that she wanted us to excel in our class. I felt that she really demonstrated that. Lisa made the course very interesting. The course had a lot of information but the way she taught it had made it seem fun and interesting the entire semester. Her techniques and powerpoints are very good. She gives a fair amount of work also.

Lisa was a very good teacher. One improvement is that she could update the course reader with the slides that she used in the lecture. Sometimes there was outdated or missing information in the reader.

The only improvement I wish would be made is the book. The book is useful however, it is hard to find things in it. An index at least would help. if not, maybe the powerpoints should be sent out.

Her lectures and manner of speaking were engaging and easy to listen to. I really enjoyed the lectures and the material we went over

Lisa is an excellent instructor. She's very fair and understanding when it comes to assignments and grading, and she really cares about students learning, instead of students making a grade. As a result, I know I will retain everything I've learned in her class, something I can say is a rarity in the modern American college system. Her teaching style and enthusiasm make me want to learn - I like that she uses personal anecdotes: they make lectures very engaging.

this subject can be uncomfortable but she managed to make learning fun and comfortable for everyone. the anonymous surveys were great because we were able to truly answer the best we know how without being worried that anyone will judge us.

I loved everything about the course to the instructor to the textbook that we used to the powerpoints and then to the videos that we watched. She also had small demonstrations with her TA and other people to clearly display concepts that we were learning. The group discussions in class, although at first I was apprehensive, was actually very enjoyable. She has made a lecture course so much easier to understand and keep focused, and coming to class.

I really like that she is following the lecture guide in a good and clear way, and I also like that we have quizzes every week to test our knowledge on the course material and that we get the answer key so we can see what answers are right or wrong. She also has a clear syllabus and every assignment is clear and she is not stressing anyone out about the assignments. I also think it's awesome that she is swedish!

I like how the material was presented and it wasn't just some stuffy old text book format.

Theoretical basis of sex, sex research, male & female anatomy, pubety & sexual dimorphism, sexual violence & abuse, female & male sexual response systems, masterbation, and sexual fantasy

Effective use of videos and examples were used to help us completely understand concepts. She did an excellent job teaching us not only the book information but put it in words and situations that relate to real-life!

This was by far my favorite class of all. She was always so enthused with the topics, hands on and very helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about her and the class. I wish everyone at school would take this class its very informative and important especially to students in college.

She was very open and helpful, especially when it came to assignments. Very understanding and caring!

I like that the quizzes and written assignments were all online. I also appreciate that we had a good time frame when to turn in assignments. I definitely think that the best part of the course was the teacher. She is so reasonable and really tires to make accommodations for the students and is very flexible in deadlines and she ALWAYS answers emails. The other thing that I liked about our teacher is the way she presents the information in lectures. Sex education is an awkward topic to teach students about, but she usually tries to add humor, her stories, and she always stresses tolerance and acceptance for things that might be a little different. I really appreciate how she stresses that even though something is viewed as normal does not necessarily mean that other/ different views are wrong. I think that because she makes the class more fun, creative and a little light hearted at times, she creates a great atmosphere for learning. I would definitely recommend this teacher to other students, if not for the amount of info you learn from this class, you are so interested and amused by the way this teacher presents the info. If nothing else, Mrs. Vallin definitely keeps the class interesting. Her choice of short video clips also add young, modern twist to getting the info across.

EVERYTHING! FROM THE LECTURES, PRESENTATIONS, SKITS, CLASS DISCUSSIONS, VIDEO, ASSIGNMENTS, EXAMS, AND QUIZZE ALL WERE FILLED WITH SO MUCH INFORMATION. EVERY CLASS WAS FILLED WITH SOMETHING INFORMATIVE AND I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO ANYONE. SHE IS A REALLY GREAT PROFESSOR. The quizzes help me to review the materials that we learned in class and also helpful for the exams. pop quizzed and attendance helped me to attend the class on time. group discussion helped me to discuss and share my thoughts to the class members.

She maintained a good environment for learning and made everyone feel comfortable.

I liked the short group assignments. She provided good examples. I also liked that she brought someone in from the Life Foundation to speak with us on her life living with AIDS, when we were learning about HIV, AIDS, and other STDs.

The coursework is very appropriate and grading is very fair. There is no reason why students cannot succeed in this class. Class activities right after a topic are very helpful to reinforce what was taught. Quizzes helped tell students what is important and what Lisa wants us to learn the most.

I liked everything, but I really liked the videos and the visual materials. The power-point presentations and lecture guide were so helpful since they follow the course pretty closely.

I really can't think of anything, except minimize the roll of in-class discussions. Most of the time we don't come into classes with friends, and it can be really awkward to talk about sexual history/sexual ideas with people we don't know.

maybe a little less emphasis on gay marriage. we understand that it is important to you and it is a great thing to be passionate about. I agree with you one hundred percent, however, not real sure how it is relevant to the course.

TA Chris is also very good. And the lecture on hormonal reactions where Lisa made each organ/hormone, and illustrated how they work on Chris' body was SUPER helpful! And entertaining, hehe. GREAT class. Definitely recommending it!

Honestly, overall the best class I have taken in my college career. (And I've taken lors of courses) She is a excellent teacher and really wants you to learn the material. Gives you multiple chances to excel and always there to help when needed. I highly recommend this course and I feel like it should almost be mandatory to take with her. Everything she teaches expands perspective and teaches us other ways to look at life. Teaches us to view life in others shoes and every concept relates to real everyday life!

LISA VALLIN SHOULD RECEIVE PROFESSOR OF THE YEAR BECAUSE SHE CARES ABOUT HER STUDENTS NOT JUST ON AN EDUCATIONAL LEVEL BUT AS WELL AS A PERSONAL LEVEL. SHE IS SO UNDERSTANDING AND ACCOMMODATING. THE COURSE WAS FILLED WITH TONS OF INFORMATION AND I COULD HAVE NOT ASKED TO BE TAUGHT A DIFFERENT WAY. I'M HAPPY I TOOK THIS COURSE FROM HER

this professor is very organized and a lot of passion for teaching. she treated her students fairy and very flexible. I really enjoyed taking this class.

Lisa is awesome she is an amazing teacher, Bio 350 is jam packed with information, lots of stuff that goes into sex biology and somehow Lisa made it manageable, interesting and fun. I have already recomended her to some friends. She genuinely cares about her students learning and I learned so much for that class. I wish I could take more classes from her!

This is by far one of the few professors that actually shows compassion for her students and is a wonderful teacher!

She was a really great, down-to-earth teacher. Made the students feel very comfortable and made us laugh, which was good because at first many students felt uncomfortable talking/learning about these "taboo" topics on sexuality and gender. I hope to take another course from her soon!

I don't understand why this class isn't required. Not only do we learn about biological functions but we also learn about real life situations. I was able to take what I learned and apply it to my other courses. It is an eye opener. Lisa is a great lecturer and provides many different resources from videos to speakers to help us learn. I am glad I took this course; the course and professor were refreshing from what I normally take.

Lisa Vallin was the best teacher I have had in the 7 semesters that I have been in college. I would definetely love to take another class from her because she teaches the material well (I learned so much!) and at the same time, she never put too much burden on her students. I appreciate how nice and understanding Lisa is to her students. We were never really stressed out but we learned tons of stuff. She is the best teacher because she cares about her students learning instead of being like other professors that mostly only focus on grading. I am currently recommending this course (if it is taught by Lisa Vallin) to all of my friends. I am glad that I took this course because I learned lots of new and useful things and it was not overly stressful. Everything in this class is practical and useful knowledge and Lisa teaches it well. Lisa knows a lot about these subjects and she keeps everyone interested and enthusiastic.

Lisa is very knowledgeable in the topics that were given. She really emphasizes learning and that is hard to find in professors.
