13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
she writes down on the bored what you need to know and study from the book to make it easier to keep up :}
Andrea really knew her subject area and was willing to help in any way if we didn't understand how to do a problem.
She was new this year (to my knowledge). I like that she was very clear and made some confusing terminology and theorems easier. She is very understanding and takes the time to go over any homework you didn't understand. Shes very strait to the point and tells you what you need to know.
Very knowledgeable teacher, available to students outside of class if help was needed.
She explains the material in a clear way that is easily understandable. She makes herself available to help her students succeed outside of class.
She explained everything very clearly.
She is very lenient when necessary, and she is very intellegent in her approach.
She knows the material she is teaching.
She is younger than the average math teacher and can relate a little better than some other teachers I have had in the past.
she knows the material very well.
Very helpful and understanding.
She knows how to explain complicated equations plainly
EXPLAINING VERY VERY WELL
Stays on the schedule almost always. Consistent.
She is always willing to help students.
She is good at lecturing and students can take good notes from them.
I feel that she knew her subject matter well.
She new her material and made sure that students were prepared for her exams. She made herself available for the students who weren't really comprehending the materials. she gave students the opportunity to make up exams that were not particularly up to par. and she is a very caring and just overall an excellent instructor.
Kind, neat handwriting, and knowledgeable.
knows subject, cares about students, available for help
The way she explains things simply and clearly.
She was helpful to her students, always available for questions and extra help. She also responded to emails promptly.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
needs to be more one on one with students in class.
No changes at all. I like the way she organizes the class and puts everything together.
Power Point presentations, please! Writing everything down on the board was a little redundant, as everything was in the book (definitions, etc). Maybe writing the unique sample problems out was fine, but writing everything on the board made already boring material a little more boring. Also, PPs save markers and time.

Slow down when doing lectures, especially when there is a lot of writing. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the discussion when i'm still writing about the last example. Also, it helps to give practice problems in class so that we have a chance to do them ourselves, before trying the homework.
be more lively.
Get better markers.
More class participation.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
yes she gave me chances to fix my work.
She would email out a study guide for each exam that we had. It really helped for those who didn't make it to class sometimes. It also helped me do better than I thought I would on my exam.
She always explains anything you tell her you don't understand. She goes over any problems on the homework.
Available to students outside of class regarding concerns bout school, and during class, she ensured that the students knew the material before continuing.
She made sure students understood the information by making it very clear and available, giving study guides, and holding review sessions.
Made sure that everyone got the material by letting the class know if they have any questions.
Andrea was fair, she also prepared study guides and was available by email.
Always being availble for questions and willing to help with problems.
she prefers our opinions and work with that other than imposing her own.
Asked if we understood the problems and if we had any questions.
If she see's that the class did not do good on an exam, she will provide extra credit.
She encouraged students to come see her during her office hours if they needed any help.
She informed us that she was available outside of class and willingly answered questions during class.
She offered extra help for those who needed it and even extra credit for those who had a bad day on their test
Asking often if we (students) got the part she just taught before going on to the next--giving us extra examples if needed without being hurry.
She offered office hours before exams to help with any last minute confusion and responded promptly to questions.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes. This was the most pleasant math class I've ever taken. Rather than making the class seem stressful, she somehow made it enjoyable and a relaxed. Her notes were very helpful.
Yes. She is a good teacher and does a everything a good teacher should
Yes. simple explanations, and so easy to get the points.
yes because she was helpful throughout the semester. She actually wants her students to succeed and learn.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
missing attachments, have to beg for my homework when I was absent, keep asking, no or slow answer, homework given to me after it was due.
Good Job!
Good teacher.
I thought that this was a great class. Its hard to get 25 different people with different learning techniques, into a subject as difficult as math. Provided with a text, full summaries of each chapter, and then daily homework is probably the only way to get the most teaching effects on the overall class population.

I appreciated her kindness also her promptness for returning work.
Chapter reviews (study guides) she made for each test were very helpful as well.

I hope the class time is longer because she covers a lot of topics in a 50-minute class and some students would get confused to what we're learning.
