13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?
The course was great and allowed me to learn different subjects from science to history all while covering the english language.
class participation is always fun and educating.
alot
Honestly this course helped me with very much everything when it comes to English, I've never done annotating, root words, or anything like that before.
I enjoyed this class very much could not have asked for a better instructor.
I like how Betsy makes the assignments due midnight of the day its due. Some teachers make the assignment due at the beginning of the class. Sometimes I need help to polish up my assignment and having the opportunity to talk to Betsy the day its due helps a lot. I also like how Betsy uses her phone to text. it makes communication more instant and helps the younger people feel more in contact with their teacher.
I like how Betsy gave students a chance to make up late homework. I like also how the syllabus was prepared.
14. Any suggestions to improve this course?
its perfect the way it is.
calender schedule needs to be set and not altered
no
None that I am aware of at this time.
I suggest that there is less assignments so that we can spend more time going over some of the harder assignments more in-depth. I also suggest that other teachers or professors start using their phones that the way Betsy did.
none
15. Other comments:
uhh.

Overall I liked her class. I just did not like how Betsy would change her syllabus and add new assignments.

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?
Group discussions.
All the assignments were really fun, but challenging enough for me to learn something from it.
i liked that our class was more of a discussion rather than a lecture.
Betsy Morrigan made sure that she was available at any time to help me out!
I enjoyed writing persuasive papers and working together as a class
I enjoyed all of the writing assignments. The topics we wrote about were interesting, fascinating, and fun. I enjoyed writing the informal and research paper the most because I got to choose the topic, which made the assignment fun and less of a chore! Anytime I am given the choice of what I would like to write about or research, I learn and absorb the information much better.
They were very effective and necessary.
I liked the writing assignments because Betsy helped me a lot with her feedback and I improved my writing skills.
I liked the amount of work, and the in-depth look at the subject.
I really liked doing the small papers in the beginning of the semester and then ending with the big research paper.
I liked the people in it and the classroom activities. I enjoyed group activities because I don't like solo work.
14. Any suggestions to improve this course?
Get system better than ebsco. Ebsco either didn't work or gave poor quality articles.
try not to change the schedule around too much because towards the end i got a little confused as to when certain things were due.
No, I felt this course was very successful.
Remove the require use of ebsco, make it a case to case thing. Focus on apa or mla
Probably the writing assignments, there were times when I did not fully understand what point of view about the topic that I should write about.
Easier deadlines at the end of the semester when we are doing the research paper. Its hard when all the deadlines are squished together.
Remove more of the text books for the class, as they proved minimally useful, and we did not use them.
Maybe have a few more small essays, practice researching on a smaller scale first before the research paper
There was too many little assignments and it made it difficult to keep up. The directions provided were confusing at times because they were so long and involved (to many things to address in one assignment). Grading online was not done promptly.

25. If you were teaching this course: a. What would you do to improve it? b. What would you change?
i wouldnt have changed anything. I would give more one on one help? i dont really know
Nothing. I feel prepared now and very satisfied with her teaching skills!
I wouldn't change anything.
Focus on mla or apa, not both.
Probably the time frame for assignments due, there were times that it took a little longer for the instructor to grade assignments and put up the grades.
For the persuasive essay, it would be better if we chose what topic we want to debate on, like not as a whole class, but individually. would be way better and easier.
Aside from remove the text books, I don't think there would be much I would to improve it. The current formula is good.
I would revise the conferences because they kind of seemed like a waste of classroom time. However, I do think the one on one is important. Maybe not two whole days
I would run it like a community college course rather than a university course. Many students going to community college need remedial help.
26. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?
i liked that it wasnt a lecture
Great
I enjoyed everything about Betsy's class !
Betsy, is my all time favorite teacher. She has a way of making all assignments fun and interesting, which is a great way to keep students engaged and on-task. She has a great attitude, and is always very calm and collected. She was very inspiring and motivating. I thought her teaching methods were very successful and I benefited greatly from her class. I would recommend her to anyone.
Very effective.
Betsy is a great instructor! She always shared her experience to accompany the course material.
not bad, very helpful.
I liked the teaching methods employed.
I really liked having Betsy as a teacher. She taught me a lot and I feel better prepared for a four year university in the future.
Betsy Morrigan was nice. She was cool.
27. Has he/she contributed to your general knowledge or to learning job skills?
yes, i feel like a became a much better writer
Yes
Yes, I learned how to write in APA format
This was a writing class, so of course my writing skills improved greatly. Besides that I learned a lot about various interesting topics. Writing is used all the time, whether it be for work or applying for a scholarship, so yes she has contributed to both.
Absolutely.
Yes. She has taught me to write well and improve my critical thinking skills.
I have no evidence of that, but I would believe so.
Yes! I learned so much about formatting, writing, and researching!
Yes

29. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
the research paper for sure
The research breakdown
Writing essays
The research paper was very valuable because it allowed me to learn about something that I was very interested in, while greatly improving my writing skills.
Understanding formatting, and writing process of a rp.
Some of the writing assignments helped me express my own points of view and I did well and got a good grade for it because Betsy gave me a lot of feedback that helped me improve.
The writing of the research paper, as it helped with tackling big papers.
I think the most valuable aspect of the course was the final oral presentations.
I learned how to write better.
30. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
the reading then answering questions from the nexus book
Nexus
I didn't like how everything had to be posted on Laulima and typed. I wish we would have had the choice to turn things in to the teacher typed or hand- written.
Ebsco.
A few readings and discussions weren't valuable to me but overall, the class was good.
There were not too many, though I would say some of the smaller papers at the beginning were not as useful as others.
I think the small essay responses were a lot less valuable than the introductory essays
None.
31. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
The research paper...
the research paper. it was a fun project
Editing and taking my time.
The self confidence in my writing I gained from this class
My research paper, and Betsy (the teacher)
The paper, and how I wrote it.
My conferences with Betsy. She shared her knowledge and experience of things with me and encouraged me to do the same.
Finally learned how to write in APA style.
The research paper.
the research paper I invested so much time and effort into
Thinking about how I wrote a research paper on something I wasn't interested in.
32. What things did you get from this course that will benefit you personally?
i would have to say the research paper because i know that knowledge will benefit me in the future
Everything
Improved writing and reading skills, confidence, friends, new goals, an interest in more worldly topics, motivation to eat better and take care of myself, and the ability to look at things from a more unbiased point of view. I also discovered how amazing a college teacher can be. I now have high standards for college professors!
How to write a well organized rp.
I learned to write openly and express my view of things.
knowing how to research better and cite my work.
A better control of the english language
I learned how to properly format a paper, how to use APA, how to organize my research, and how to write a thesis and form a paper based on it.
I will remember to choose topics that interest me.
33. Other comments:
nope
Thank you Betsy for all you have done. You have really improved my writing and helped me write freely. Mahalo and God bless!
very helpful when asked.
Keep up the good work!

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?
I enjoyed the variety of reading homework, vocabulary cards, research projects, and poetry.
I liked the facsinating issue, all the research, and i learned alot about my subject.
I really enjoyed the class group research project and how she was able to apply our team efforts into understanding two different topics in great depth while incorporating them into questions for our final exam. The book report project was fun since we were allowed to choose a book according to our liking and allowed flexibility on the choosing even though it was not on the suggested book list. The vocab card assignment was an interesting way to help retain the definitions and came handy for performing well on the test. I'm sure I will continue to use these cards in the future as well as the use of them in my own personal vocabulary. Mahalo :)
I would say that Betsy was the best teacher; she's helpful, wonderful, full of joy and preparing all the time. I learn so much in this class.
I loved everything fun class to be in.
I liked leaning about Latin and Greek root words. I enjoyed the research project. I especially like listening to the other students present their research. I enjoyed reading the book I chose.
I learned many new words and was able to read books that were not pre-teen.
The vocabulary cards, book report and poetry assignments were my favorite assignments.
I enjoyed the projects involving team work and team projects. I am personally more engaged when I am face to face with group members. I had a good group of team members so my grade was based on the effectiveness of everyone in the group. I enjoy working with other people in some situations because I learn more from a group of people verses only myself. I also enjoyed class presentations in front of the class. I like to challenge myself, and push myself to step outside of my box. Standing in front of the class and present an assignment takes courage. I liked the challenge and also felt that everyone was just as equally as nervous as I to speak in front of the class. I had a good, positive, group of class members for this class which was the luck of the draw. Due to the positivity of the class the course of activities, projects, assignments, etc went smoothly.
the projects allowed the class to work together effectively yet gain our own understanding of the assignments
I liked the overall of the course and it was fun! Betsy is a great teacher and has a very good sense of humor also.
I love betsys way of teaching. the articles from our nexus book were so interesting.
The fascinating subject
14. Any suggestions to improve this course?
I thought the poetry assignment was confusing only because we didn't go over the different types of poetry before doing the assignment. I was talking with a few other students who also thought it was a bit confusing. I liked the assignment, but it was difficult because I didn't understand the different types of poetry. Most students, like myself, use the internet to do our homework and the internet isn't as good at explaining things as Betsy is! We'd like to hear it from you. It would help.
NO
I think that Betsy's course was well constructed. Some of the laulima assignments that were posted state "not completed"/"not submitted" can be a bit confusing as to whether or not they were intended for submitting the assignment online or in-class (which they ended up being for class). But this is entirely technical and really not a "course" / material issue...at least in my opinion.
I wouldn't change anything about it
Nope
I felt that this course was very interesting and fun to be apart of! However I would like the overall rubrics for the English department to re-evaluate the directions for major projects. If the rubrics were less wordy and more direct, I believe that more individuals would understand the directions for class projects/assignments.
more too the point instructions not as wordy hard to understand the key points the instructor wanted
The syllabus changed a little throughout the semester. I hope it won't need that next semester. Overall, the course helped me improve my college reading skills.
no it was great!
not to do so much work on the computer

16. If you were teaching this course: a. What would you do to improve it? b. What would you change?
Explain the poetry more. Other than that, everything was well-prepared and appropriate for this level course. Grade harder! Make us work for it!
nothing
Improvements on laulima assignment submission clarity. Is there a different button in the laulima web-platform for the instructors to "check" -"submit in class"???
Nothing it is a good class.
I would check to make sure that all the students did their homework, especially the assignments that we didn't need to turn in such as choice selection and print-outs. Some of the students got away with not doing the assignments because they knew it didn't have to be turned in, It's unfair to the other students who did take the time to do their homework.
I would revise the rubrics for a better quality of clarity and understand. I would re-write the directions for assignments and projects, by changing the format of the directions. Instead of paragraphs of unneeded words I would cut them down to only the basic essentials that I was trying to address.
too the point instructions
Betsy gave great examples of her experience to go along with the course material. She is a great instructor, I would change the course assignments a little - it was sort of overwhelming at times but overall it helped me!
exactly the same
not turn in assignments over laulima
17. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?
Betsy is intelligent and the class was well-planned. I enjoyed the variety of teaching methods such as in class discussions, research projects, readings, writings, and the picnic was a nice break/treat! I think she could grade a little harder though! She's almost too nice. She's very helpful and answers any questions we had thoroughly.
i like betsey and her teaching methods
I really like Betsy and how she was able to apply some of her real-life scenarios to the material we studied in class, for example, our poetry assignment. It helps to put critical information into a contextual form for everyone to understand on a personal level. Not only that, Betsy is approachable and friendly, making it easy to have questions answered regarding the assignments.
I loved the teaching methods.
Betsy is a great teacher. Her methods were very successful. She made everything fun and worth-while.
I really enjoyed the class set up. Also enjoyed being able to voice my thoughts and opinions.
Ms. Morrigan made learning easy and interesting, I liked that the classroom always had a good vibe to it.
Ms. Morrigan is an excellent teacher and pushes us to think outside of the box! She uses many different methods to accommodate everyone in the class. Based on each of our own learning abilities and skills.
great help and very motivating
Betsy has great experience and uses it as examples to accompany the course material. She also has a great sense of humor and encourages us students to share our own knowledge and experience with things related to the course.
top of the line! all the years of teaching really help
shes good
18. Has he/she contributed to your general knowledge or to learning job skills?
Betsy helped us students learn how to extract important information from reading materials. We also did research projects that helped me gain new information on milk and overpopulation.
yes
She gave us a lot of tools to help us read quicker and to understand the information by epitomizing the article or book of our current reading. Annotating is a very useful technique that I foresee using for the rest of my life and I'm finding that I continue to do this even in my personal reading material. It's valuable to me in the sense that I'm able to quickly reference points of interest within a reasonable time and manner. Thank you :)
Yes
Yes. I learned many new things by reading the articles she assigned. Reading skills are crucial to finding and keeping a good job.
Of course!!
I have gained new knowledge and several skills that will help me in future schooling or at potential jobs.
Based on the topic we discussed and researched in her class I have learned more about the world in general. As a class one topic was naturally linked to another and another and another. Since we discuss our research topics as a class I learn how to apply my skills already acquired to other areas of my life.
yes i have found my own way to annotate and feel better at gaining knowledge from text
Yes. She has improved my vocabulary, reading skills, and overall critical thinking. I have also learned to be a great group leader in this class.
YES!

19. Other comments:
Betsy's class was very fun, enjoyable, and informative. I think that we had a great class to work with as well. Betsy is extremely helpful and clear in her expectations of us students. I certainly tried hard to get the most out of her class. I did feel that Betsy was almost too easy in grading.
i enjoyed this class and i learned alot of skills to helpme with future classes
Very fun classes and you are a good teacher I am going to miss being your student.
GREAT SEMESTER!!
best english teacher i have ever had
Thank you Betsy for all you have done to help me this semester. I wish I could have you as a teacher throughout my college years but I wish you the best in all your plans for next year. God bless always! Aloha.

probably learning how to annotate
OVERPOPULATION problems within our nation/world, and how they gravely affect our resources.
Everything
Learning root words and reading a challenging book.
I felt that I learned the most from the vocabulary assignments and the poetry project.
The care and understanding of my professor was most valued and appreciated.
annotating and different research covered
The group work was a little overwhelming, but it helped me express my thoughts and become a group leader too.
sitting in a circle to look at all my beautiful class mates
reading the non fiction book
24. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
Although I enjoy poetry, I didn't think it was necessary for the course. I did that in middle school.
it was all valuable

I felt that the format of the general rubrics were unclear and could have improved by using less 'unneeded wording' and more directions!

25. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
Betsy. She was very lovely. She was clear, helpful, nice, and spunky for a woman of her age. Good for you, Betsy! :) Also, the research projects were very informative. I'm glad we ended up doing two topics instead of just one.
It was the first college level english class i enjoyed
Tedious annotation and highlighting...haha
Yes
The book I decided to read and do a book report on.
Research I did and learned from.
I'll definitely remember this course because of Ms. Morrigan, she is one of the best teachers I've had.

The kind individuals I meet in this course as well as the understanding of my professor.
skills from annotating and vocab words
The great atmosphere of the class, every student was interesting and shared very good views of things which helped me in my own critical thinking. Betsy is a great instructor, she will probably be the reason I will remember this course forever!

mrs morrigan
26. What things did you get from this course that will benefit you personally?
Learning to annotate. This will be useful throughout college and life.
being able to stand in front of people and talk
again, the ability to epitomize and summarize the meaning of an article, book, or any future reads.
I learn how to do annotation and improve my reading skills.
More vocabulary being a better reader and how to read big words and study skills.
Improved reading skills, knowledge on various topics, and new friends. I loved how I was able to read a book that I always wanted to read since it was part of the assignment.
Milk research number one. Loved learning the new words and the poems were so much fun.
I have learned to think outside of my comfort zone and express my personal needs to the professor. I have felt comfortable enough in this class to ask for help when needed or ask for help in general. This is a big step for my personal growth which has been the most beneficial improvement for me.
learning things from text
I was a group leader at one point, it helped improve my leadership skills and communication skills.
creative skills
better reading skills

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?
I liked the research paper project the most. It was really difficult but it helped me understand and learn the process of writing a research paper. Now I can say I've written a 13 page research paper and know what to expect in the future if I'm required to write another research paper for a different class.
It was very challenging!
Research project deadlines were manageable and easy to follow
I liked most about the course the free writing.
I liked how every assignment had a lesson in itself, and the process of doing the assignment was effective in teaching us this lesson and making it stick in our minds throughout the course.
I really liked the papers that we wrote in this class. The topics that we wrote about were very interesting and relevant. I enjoyed learning about everything and actually understanding what we were talking about.
I liked learning persuasive writing and debating on the pros and cons of tourism in Hawaii. I liked the breaks we had in between class. I liked hearing and learning about different things by researching.
I really liked the Research Project and I appreciated that we got to choose are own topics. It made the entire project much more enjoyable and it made it easier for the teacher to motivate the students to become involved in their project. I really liked the reading assignments in the beginning of the course-- topics were chosen well and seemed relevant to our class. I liked all of the social interactions we had in class discussions. Everyone had a different point of view and it was exciting to get to hear them instead of the usual "Shh"ing that goes on in class.
I'm so glad to have a teacher that really wanted to see me achieve.
I really enjoyed being pushed to dig deeper into a subject so I could attain more information.
i liked the research paper. it was a great accomplishment to have achieved. i am glad she gave us the project and helped walk us through the paper
I enjoy Betsys class and the structure. It is a lot of work but i have learned a tremendous ammount from her
14. Any suggestions to improve this course?
My suggestion to improve this course is to go over mechanics and grammar. I know we are required to learn grammar and mechanics but going over them at least once during the class would be nice. I'm still having hard time with it. It's my greatest weakness in English writing.
None
I would suggest lessening the pressure on students. At times the workload seemed overwhelming and very stressful. I did not like having papers due and starting other papers at the same time. I think we should finish one paper then start the next.
Maybe less dependency on having a computer. Not everyone has access to a computer all the time. I just think its a little bit unfair.
I do not have any suggestions. I loved the class, the teacher and what I learned.
No suggestions.
Betsy Morrigan needs to upgrade her online skills to keep up with all the technology required for the class including things like Laulima and student e-mails.
Besty Morrigan is very wonderful English teacher and kind hearted. She understands the hardship.
15. Other comments:
Betsy is a great instructor. She is understanding and cares for my well-being. She is the only instructor that I have who actually gives me nice comments and feedback about my work.
Betsy Morrigan is just an expert in her profession.
I think that Betsy is a very good teacher and that she should teach more classes at the community college. I would love to take more of her classes.
I am so glad that I took this class and learned how to put together an excellent Research Notebook. I am confident that I could put together an outstanding Research Notebook on any subject in any class now. I learned about citations and bibliographies. It was explained how important in-text citations are. Staying organized and keeping sources labeled and important facts highlighted makes it easy when it comes time to cite sources. I have learned a lot from my Research Project that I will be able to use in my future in a number of ways.
Betsy was a very fun and incouraging teacher! she always was willing to help every one of the students to be able to do better
she was available readily and accommodating in all requests for tutoring. she went above and beyond and helped tutor me in the grammatical aspect as well.

I'll definitely remember this course because English and writing is a very important skill in modern society, and this course helped me so much with the writing part. I'm so proud to have learned all of this and excited to use these skills later on in life.
I'll remember this class for several reasons. First, I will remember it from the people that were in it. Betsy, the students, and I all became close over the semester. I felt comfortable with everyone. I will also remember the class by the work that we did. I learned a lot from the research that we did in this class and that information will always stick with me.
learning how to write a 12 page Apa format paper.
My first ever huge Research Notebook in college. Also, I will definitely remember all of the philosophies I researched about Chinese Medicine. I know what to expect in the future with Chinese medicine as it affects our culture and environment. I have an idea of what to expect in the near future. My English skills and the process taken to write a good paper will definitely carry on with me throughout my college and professional career.
Remembering that im to old to procrastinate! good thing Betsy had a very structured class!
The fun I had in researchin my topics
my research paper and her personal time spent tutoring me which resulted in great scores for the TEAS test

Great English teacher. I would recommend her to all my friends who needs to take English 100.
I couldn't have asked for a better teacher.
This class is very useful for students who are just entering college. It gives a good introduction to college writing and a college class in general.
Betsy Morrigan can be big-picture and detail-oriented. It was an easy class to follow because she is a medium between the two. We always have objects in our hands as we talk about different subjects or papers. She keeps us involved through encouraging communication and visual or audio aides like speakers. I like how she goes over what we can expect to do before we start huge projects, it makes the goals feel more attainable.

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?
I believe my favorite assignment was the poetry booklet. It gave us a chance to do something more interesting outside of basic reports, vocab, etc.
What I liked to highlight is that a lot of the assignments were mainly concentrating around personal relationships both through the texts were assigned to study and read and the other students in the class to work in team effort material.
I totally enjoyed the information in your class. The topics truly push ourselves to expand our views beyond just learning the art of English writing. As your students we have learned so much from you and our classmates because of how you set up our class.
I liked the diversity and flexibility of the required work. The pace of the class was set based on the classes circumstances rather than a regimented schedule. I think this approach worked well and was fair to the class as a whole.
I liked how al the assignments were well rounded and helped me understand the course better.
i liked that betsy challenged our class to read 250+ pages in a short time period when it came to our book reports. this challenged me to focus on my reading skills and to understand annotating much more. she is a very fun and effective teacher!
Everything, it got me thinking more as a writter then a reader
I love the way that Mrs. Morrigan present her classes. The flash card is a really nice tools for learning. Mr. Morrigan is a devoted teacher and have a lot of comprehension toward student. Mrs. Morrigan is a sweet teacher that I am so grateful to have. It is the first time I have been student of Mrs. Morrigan and I will highly recommand that teacher. The class, the projects and the assignments was diversify and really interesting to do. The projects and assignments was fun to do and really instructive. I read my first book from the beginning to the end and that is because Mrs. Morrigan. Thank you Mrs. Morrigan. To read a 450 pages was a goal for me but really beneficial. Without your classes I will not do it. :0
I liked the textbook that we used, Nexus. The reading that we did in this class was very interesting and fun to read. I liked the fact that what we were reading was relevant to our age group. It was nice to see that the education board is now beginning to realize that students are more willing to read things that are interesting to them. It was refreshing.
I enjoyed the assignment where we had to read a 300 or more page book. It motivated me to want to read.
i enjoyed the class discussions
Very great group work. Very motivating
14. Any suggestions to improve this course?
Instructions on assignments sometimes came across unclear
This should have been presented as a writing course not a reading course. The assignments were much more WI than my actual WI course.
Betsy you are a wonderful teacher that is full of knowledge on English. When we are in class I feel that their is so much to learn from you. Again I would say please improve on the clarity of your directions. Check out on Laulima, the chat room postings on what some of your students say on your directions. The best directions that have been given in this class were from the "college wide/ assessment article". The directions were clear concise format and wording. Students would get so much more out of class, if they could focus our energies on the assignment work, instead of taking so much time to decipher the information contained in your directions. I do enjoy your classes and wish you well. Thank you for a great semester. Happy holidays. Aloha
I would advise the instructor to make assignment expectations more straightforward.
More clear, concise instructions.
None. Jus more explanations on course work, it was confusing some of the assignments and projects.
I think Mrs. Morrigan manage her class really good and the content was completed. I did love the class of Mrs. Morrigan.
The only thing that I would improve about this course is some of the assignments. I felt that some of the assignments such as stating the summary for each paragraph for an article was a bit time consuming and unnecessary. However, a majority of the assignments were useful and worthwhile.
I think we should have done more reading of large books as opposed to research. It was good to learn annotating and elaborate on it, but I felt that we should have been doing more to help us read quickly and more efficiently. It felt like a writing intensive course, especially when we had to do our book report.
BE MORE CLEAR AND DIRECT IN INSTRUCTIONS!!! every time class started, everyone was confused on the previous assignment and was completely clueless on what was needed to be done.

You have a kind heart and you can see that in how you relate to others. You have a great manner of expressing your self and are creative. I would say that you could need more constraints in expressing your self in written directions formatting.
Kind, fair.
Great person, great teacher, and overall very informative.

20. What changes would you make in the readings?
Clear orderly directions.
Reading do not need to be changed.
nothing.
more reading assignments.. more actual readings with a lot more books
I don't think I will make a change. Like I said I really like the content of her class.
I liked the readings. I wouldn't make any changes about those. My only advice is to keep things current and interesting.
More reading of a big book without the 8 page book report. Maybe have a summary of the book in our own words
im neutral about it, i would suggest find better reading material
None
21. Comment on the physical environment of the classroom (space, noise, lighting, seating, etc.)
I liked the set up of seating, it made everyone in clear view.
- Everyone can interact with everyone with the table placement creating a social yet business atmosphere. - Not to bright, but light enough to see content in front of us - Gets cold at times from AC
The circle set up works perfectly for this class.
Space was a bit limited and outside noise was high.
I loved everything about the class.
room setup was different and i liked interacting with classmates on a personal level due to the change in environment
Wonderful.
The fact we are sitting in circle that make the class more focus. If someone want to play with their cell phone, you will see their head down for a while and that is not a good sign. :0 Connection with everyone was nice the fact we was sitting in circle. Original too!
I really liked the physical environment of the classroom. It allowed us to interact with each other and it made classes fun and educational. Everyone could see and hear with no trouble.
It was good. I liked the circle setting
it was alright
Nothing wrong.
22. What did you find least valuable and helpful?
Last minute changes in assignment due dates and schedules on Laulima.
everything helped me in this class.
the research and writting assignments
To have to read a book of 450 pages. That was the best it could happens to me. I need to read more and upgrade the speed of my reading. More we read better reader we become. That was the MOST valuable and helpful thing. The least valuable was nothing for me. I think that everything I learned was valuable and helpful.
I found the poetry section to be the least helpful. I just didn't think that I really got anything out of it. I did love the presentation by Bradajo. I just didn't enjoy the poetry assignments. However, I understand that learning about poetry is probably a benchmark and it is probably required.
Having to do a lot of writing. I found that maybe it should have been writing intensive. I felt we did more writing than reading
the Annotating was the least valuable... it made doing homework boring, and it too 3 times as long to complete the homework. i will never use annotating ever again in my school career or in life. its a total waste of time, and didnt improve my learning whats so ever!
23. Other comments:
Little more reminders of due dates are nice.
Please please, this is the second class with you. Give a little time to talk with other teachers on how to give directions. It will save your students time that can be put to advancing themselves in their studies.
