12. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
I become more carefully about news paper because some of them are academically and actually wrong.
The slideshows helped.
Learning about unemployment, GDP and inflation/interest and how they all interact and affect the economy.
I thought that all material in the course was valuable, since every subject was connected to another.
I think the chapter review questions/problems and quizzes were most valuable. They helped me understand the chapters better. The lectures were valuable, too, because the instructor made them interesting. Sometimes, he would toss in an example from his own experience.
Clear concise explanations that were built upon with examples.
The concepts behind the models and equations/identities.
Class discussions..
Everything was pretty much valuable, especially the lectures and the explanations he gave from the exercises.
The lectures were very informative and engaging. The problem sets were also helpful in emphasizing key points of the lectures.
Examples in the real world of concepts/theories we learned about. Real world statistics.
I like the tangents that Professor Wang went on. Whenever he was teaching us about a particular concept, he would also explain current events or show us how to use the BLS' website. These discussions helped to make the course material more relevant.
all of it
The textbook.
Offering real life examples about current events from an economics standpoint was the most valuable aspect
13. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
nothing=) Everything is really valuable.
The ideas that I failed to grasp. Ch 7 is the hardest to understand so far.
I do not think there was anything that was not valuable.
I can't think of any.
The quizzes were inconsistent in difficulty. Some were really easy, and others were ridiculously hard. The format of the quizzes kept changing (sometimes multiple choice, sometimes essay question, etc.) and this made it difficult to figure out how I should study.
none of it
The teaching technique and entire couse system was faulty.
The repetition of the same points and examples in chapters that further discuss topics that have already been introduced

26. My overall evaluation of this course is...
Great! I'm so happy to be able to take this class.
some of the topics covered in class I enjoyed.
Very good. I would take another class from Prof. Wang again.
Good. Professor Wang is a great professor and I thought the material was very useful.
Excellent. I would definitely recommend Professor Wang's classes to anyone who asks for my advice.
great i would rec. this class with this teacher to anyone.
Professor Wang was enthusiastic about the material and was always willing to explain anything that I wasn't clear on after class. Even though some of the concepts were hard to grasp, professor was able to explain them clearly.
I would give this course a B. the grading seemed a bit impartial and unfair when it came to the open-ended questions
The course helped broaden my understanding of Macroeconomics. I learned a lot of things in this course that will definitely help me with my major.
I learned a lot and gained a new perspective on economics.
I liked this course. Professor Wang is interesting to listen to and tries to explain all topics thoroughly. Sometimes, though, he moves too quickly while explaining the end of the book questions and too slowly through the powerpoint slides. Overall, though, I liked his teaching style.
great teacher, good course
Professor Wang is a very smart individual, however I felt his course was very unproductive. There was no consistency in his quizes and he spent too much time going over each chapter that we barely reached the midpoint of our textbook. The exams felt more like "trick" questions rather than questions that test our comprehension and knowledge of the material. He makes his own quiz and exam questions which werr hard to understand because english is not his first language, therefore his grammar errors sometimes confused most of the students. When we asked him about this errors he said that we should of asked him during the exam and gave us no kind of consideration, when it was acutally his error to begin with. There's no study guides or any type of aid that focuses the material. The course material itself not hard, whats hard is understanding his lectures and what he's going to ask. There's no kind of consistency, it was very fustrating to study because he expected you to not only try to uncode his english but also memorize the entire chapter as if we already got our degree in economics.
27. State in two or three sentences how this course could be improved.
The quizzes were kind of over-covered the material. I realized that a lot of students feel the quizzes were too hard.
not to move too fast in the chapters. Give an idea about what to expect on the quiz or even on the test. Explain more of the math problems on the board because it's sometimes easier to understand it that way then just looking at them in the powerpoint.
Study sessions or study guides would be helpful.
I think the course is fine the way it is. There is no improvement needed.
None.
only thing I didn't like was having to print the slideshows b/c there were too many pages to print and I didn't have a printer for part of the semester. pages on campus are expensive so that didn't help either
He could grade a little more fairly one theopen-ended questions. He could provide a study guide too!
More practice questions
More emphasis on practical applications of economics concepts (more time spent doing problem sets rather than lectures). Also, quizzes that follow a consistent format.
Split up the chapters into two quizes per chapter. Try not to go over each individual slide, have worksheets, or have the class to read the chapter before class and come with questions.

12. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
The entire class was enjoyable. I think that these concepts are what every economics major should know. The models are simple, but very relatable. The teacher did a great job making the subject matter easy to understand. I think the quizzes were an excellent way of helping me to keep up with the subject matter.
Lectures. It was always in detail and precise.
The instructor's lectures.
the overlapping generation model, with different variables.
Central and commercial banking within the OLG model.
The teacher and notes from class. Reading.
the excersise problems
13. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
I can't think of anything to improve on.
The exercise problems were somewhat different type of questions that came out on quizes so I wish there were more practice problems for the quizes other than the exercise questions from the book.

26. My overall evaluation of this course is...
I liked this course. The course is heavy algebra oriented. I found it interesting, it expanded on basic economic theories.
Excellent. The teacher is highly recommended. The material is very important to know as well for aspiring economists.
The materials were hard but it was definitely useful in learning economics.
Challenging
very good
The course provided an interesting framework through which to view monetary policy. It helped to clarify many concepts of monetary theory, was well paced, and was a fairly challenging course. I am glad I took it.
The course was interesting and Prof Wang was particularly good at explaining difficult concepts.
Good class.
good. The course was interesting and broadened my knowledge of monetary theory and policy
very good. i loved this class
27. State in two or three sentences how this course could be improved.
Nothing.
More practice problems in the format just like how it comes out on the quizes.
maybe with a little group discussion
I suppose covering more material and doing more exercises (including advanced ones) would improve the course.
Maybe add more examples of how monetary policy functions in the real world,
A few more examples in class.
I thought the course was good enough
