13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Teaching style
he will go over materials that you did not understand till you understand. he is very patience.
He is very knowledgable of the material being taught. He has it all right on the top of his head.
Mr. Fukuya knows all about taxes and tax planning. He can explain different scenarios that relate to the lesson being taught which helps to understand the concept better. He assigns, collects, and grades homework consistently and efficiently.
Mr. Fukuya's strengths as a teacher was that he clearly knows the subject that is being taught. He shows concerns for his students whether the students understand the materials that are being taught. Also, he responds quickly to emails.
Mr. Fukuya was an excellent teacher he was extremely knowledgeable and was interesting
really kind and knowledgable
he knew his subject pretty well, and when we don't understand the jubject he tries to explain or give examples until we got it
He is very knowledgeable. He is also very helpful. He doesn't mind stay longer after class to explain the subject to students.
vast knowledge in subject.
He is very knowledgeable in his field of teaching. He is always there for the students when they need help. Willing to give his time so we understand the assignments.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
speach more slow and write down on the board numbers, is easy to understand sometimes.
No changes, I feel he does a great job of teaching so much material with what little time he has to do it. Tax codes are so complex.
Sometimes a student in the class will answer his question, and others cannot hear it. It would help if he can repeat it so that others can stay in the loop, instead of just saying, "Yes, that's correct." Also, would help to stay on the topic/point and let other students ask unrelated questions after the class.
I would suggest Mr.Fukuya to show more examples with numbers on the boards rather than just speaking and taking examples from the book.

no. he's good
No changes for him but jumping to much later chapters into the book later in the semester did not make any sense to me. I would've liked to have learned the following chapters instead of the course skipping to later chapters.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He took the time to explain again after class for students who needed. He even meets with students before class when ask.
he will ask how we are doing and if we did not know something he will make sure we all get it.
He went out of his way to make sure all the students understood the material. If they had questions he would always go over them in class. If there was not enough time in class he would stay afterward to answer any more questions they had.
He would ask if anyone was not clear on a concept before moving on.
He showed concerns for his student by asking us if we clearly understand the materials he just taught. If not, he will go over it again and tell us that we can go to him on our own time to go over the materials that is not being understood.
He always provided assignments when missed class and always had time after class
always going over materials in class
he's avaialable in office hours, outside of class, and via email. don't mind to stay longer to explain the chapters.
He asked if students understand the subject and he would try to explain. He didn't mind explaining it many times.
He was always there for the students. He made himself available through email, phone, and after/before class. He's a great teacher!
