9. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
four exams (one each month) instead of only a midterm and a final. History is a tough subject with a lot to remember so i suggest he quizzes the student each month rather than piling two months worth of material into one exam
I really liked his approach, he kept class interesting.
I think the instructor did a great job. Originally I was scared of this course but found History really interested me.
Make poweropints more interesting
Nothing. He's awesome.
Make the class more interesting, class is really boring :(
Maybe go in depth a little more.
No comment about the way he explained about the course material.
Kea is a great instructor! Sometimes when he would be lecturing I wouldn't understand what he would be talking about. But overall hes a chill instructor!
More videos.
I was able to learn something new that I didn't study in history class in my country. It was very interesting to see the world history from different side of view.
Even more visual aids for the "screen generation." That goes for all teachers. Kealani Cook already does a good job of including images in his lectures. I find it easier to remember things tied to an image.
He could incorporate more online videos like the crash course series. Those were awesome and interesting!
Kealani Cook could improve the teaching of this course by making it more interesting. For instance, he should give out more facts so the students would grasp their attention to the topic he lectures.
10. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?
class activities
The games for better understanding on the subject.
I liked the way he was very passionate about it and always had interesting facts.
The group works
Learning about India and Egypt.
everything was easy to understand
I guess the videos, or lectures.
the group work , its very engaging :)
The way that he taught the class.
He give encouragement and option how to understand the course material in response to questions that could fit individual abilities and interests.
i liked how he gave us options to do the exams or to write a paper of our interests on the topics we've learned in class!
He makes us to play games into groups that relate to our discussion . And that really helps us understand more about our topic and also its fun playing.
I like the crash course in history videos.
His lecture was very enjoyable every time.
I appreciated that the course was well planned and the lecture/ homework schedule was available.
I liked how much he really seemed to enjoy teaching this subject. If you asked him a question, he either went into intense detail or broke down the subject of the question so you really got a good explanation.
I really like his Map Quiz because it made me realize where these common places that I know and heard about, but wasn't sure where exactly they were located. I felt embarrassed at first because I don't know where some common countries and places were like Papa New Guinea, and sadly Vietnam but thanks to the Map Quiz, I know most of the common places. Big Props Cook!!!!

Well organized and concise. Thousands of years of human history are boiled down to understandable patterns.
I enjoyed it, he is a great instructor.
Fantastic! Although there were some lectures that made me wondered off like maybe it wasn't interesting, I've broaden my knowledge.
12. Other comments:
Mr. Cook is awesome!
Thank you so much sir for having you on this semester.
Kealani Cook knows his history. When ever a student asks a question, he is able to provide detailed answers with lots of background info. It is always clear what we are being taught and what we will be tested on. That is not alway the case with some teachers. He designs his lectures and test so that students can succeed if they pay attention. Also, he asks the class several times a day if we have any questions, so there is always opportunity for class discussion, which has been very interesting and helpful at times.
Kealani Cook should give out a trivia fact. (Kind of like a mini quiz but verbally) So this trivia fact only works after he lectured a specific topic. The next day before class begins, he should say something relating to hist last lecture like a question. And the first student to answer it will get either a candy or an extra credit point. This will definitely help the students understand more about that topic, plus it's a review for both sides so its a win-win situation. And to throw everyone off, during the test, all the questions from the trivia fact should be on the test (or some). That way, students will definitely work on their listening and study skills. But, its up to the instructor. =D
