37. State in two or three sentences how this course could be improved.

| Examination questions, short answers in particular need to be looked at with a more open frame of
grading. Key points touched on should receive at least partial credit - instead of no credit. Students
who are on the fence in terms of grading often could understand concepts adequately - but lose
entire letter grades for each short answer not answered ENTIRELY correct.
Also, I felt homework questions were opportunities to learn from instructor corrections. However,
corrections consisted only of incorrect slash marks, question marks, and the score at the top of the
page. |
