2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
it gave me a better understanding of marketing and how and why people purchase things
It taught me a lot of about how to market a product and how everything works
This course was great. I felt that it helped me understand and think through the process of preparing a marketing campaign. I definitely feel like I am a better writer and can logically develop a marketing plan.
It has given me the basic knowledge in the marketing field. This class has also taught me how to apply my skills to the real world and has opened my mind. I know look at the world in a new light from the valuable information I've learned.
Yes this is a great background for business in general.
This course is quite complimentary of the core courses required of the BA at UHWO. Before taking this course I assumed marketing = sales. I now realize that marketing is a fundamental process within business that will allow for the success or failure of a company.
It helped me understand the foundation of marketing and how to create a successful marketing proposal.
Taught me an understanding of marketing which can be used within the general business field
n/a
Understanding how I could market my own computer business in the future
This course taught me a lot about business and how they operate. Professor Keaunui also helped me improve my writing and just to produce quality work at all times.
My major is Marketing. So with the little amount of time given during the Summer Session, I was able to obtain the basics of marketing and the way marketers think.
No it was not
This course is very in depth. I learned many things about marketing and have a large a-ray of knowledge because of it now. It is hard course work for six weeks but very informative.

5. Please comment on the activities or resources that could be added to this course to improve your learning.
I would have like to see one additional No'eau Center edit session for the third and final draft our paper be required. In addition, I felt that the Laulima program for discussion questions could be improved because it was difficult to navigate and hard to format answers to questions.
The only problem I experienced is the adjusting to a new medium of learning. By the 3rd week I adjusted. There are also uncontrollable factors when it comes to online learning, like services being down.
The case studies is more effective than the discussion questions. Discussion Question are effective also but it is hard to discuss the question cause of the format of laulima. Comments disorganize for the most part.
I took the 6 week summer version of BuSa 300. The information learned is at accelerated paced. The more ways that students are exposed to marketing to better grasp and retain the informantion, the better. I feel if students were asked to find a couple articles during the semester and give a one paragraph marketing synopsis that the student will be translate the marketing subject for learned information to applied information.
Majority of professors make their deadlines for assignments usually until 11:59PM. It is much more easier to turn in assignments if the deadline is at 11:59. This is good for those who are busy, need as much time as possible or even those who procrastinate. No one is perfect, there are procrastinators and people with busy agenda.
none
There were more than enough resources available to us.
great course as it is
Nothing really, it was very well organized.
All activities and resources provided helped me with this course.
Everything was fine.
A weekly blackboard collaborate. This would be to insure the whole classes participation and we could even go over the assignments, so that everyone has a chance to learn since this is an intro course.

7. Please comment on how the online activities (such as online lessons, posted answers to student questions, study questions, study guides, etc.) for the course contributed to your learning.
the online discussion forum is extremely helpful and I like how it is tailored to our final project companies and that we can comment on other people's as well.
I like the discussion questions and being able to interact with the class
I definitely think doing discussion questions relating to our final project company was beneficial. I liked bouncing ideas off of my peers and appreciated their thought provoking questions. I feel like many of the ideas in my paper developed from researching the questions I was asked.
I learned mostly from reading the book and reading my peers submissions. It was very insightful beneficial to understand the minds of my peers.
The powerpoint and lecture notes complement the reads very well. I think online class should always have these as resources.
Well, online interactions were a one way street for me. I would read students write-ups and ask thoughtful questions in return. Much of the time, my fellow students did not address my questions in the discussion forums. Perhaps they are under no obligation to address my questions. The different frame of reference when asking marketing questions of my fellow student projects helped me better learn the material.
It contributed to my learning by helping me understand the course concepts better than before.
I think that it is hard to constantly post discussion questions because it tends to have people asking the same questions over and over again. When you read someones post majority of the time people can only think of so many questions based on what the original poster wrote.
The workload for this short semester is doable as long as you make time for it
The student discussions really helped me understand the concepts and apply them to my final paper. I also feel that the Blackboard Collaborate sessions are great and very helpful.
The blackboard collaborative meetings as well as keeping communication open answered a lot of my questions about the course and with any assignments I may have needed help with.
Everything was fine.
Tremendous effort to get all the work in. There is a lot of research involved for just six weeks.

24. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
I wish I could be more helpful, but felt that this was a great class session. I have no suggestions. Many thanks to Professor Keaunui!
I wish that both positive and negative implications of marketing were more heavily stressed. Businesses fail all the time. In, I'd wager all business fail give enough time. This fact may fuel students to perceive the vital role of marketing in a new manner. My once accountant turned CEO told the company recently, "you are either in sales, or you support sales." From his POV, okay I can see that for a CEO. However, if marketing isn't on the ball, sales will loose traction in the marketplace. Therefore, if all businesses inevitably fail, then the role of marketing is to extend the lifespan of the business. I think students would study the subject allot differently if they looked at the the subject from that POV initially.
Weekly assignment and case studys can get monotonous. I would suggest different activities that make students want to participate.
It would be nice if this course was available in person during the summer, but the online environment was a great experience.
keep up the good work
I thought the course was great the way it is.
No suggestions. I believe Professor Keaunui is an expert in his field of marketing as well as teaching and being academically available for any assistance to his students.
Everything is fine.
A week online video session.
25. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
the online class is very informative and I like how he takes the time to answer students' questions and address any concerns
He cares a lot about his students and is good with helping the students when we need it
Great! Professor Keaunui was a very friendly and helpful professor. He responds quickly to questions and obviously wants to help students succeed. I would definitely recommend his classes to other students.
Awesome Professor! Easy to talk to, very concerned about his students, and encouraging.
Professor Keaunui has developed a marketing course that effectively instructs students of the concepts and implications of marketing decisions. I found the online course instruction well developed for learning the material.
Professor Keaunui has great knowledge of this content. Would be better if it were easier to approach for help. Would rather be approached with positive feedback than getting scolded and what not.
This was my first online class and Professor Keaunui's class was the perfect test run. All material Keaunui stressed, whether during online discussion or blackboard collaborate was very well organized.
A great teacher. He was there to guide us and made us feel comfortable about the online environment.
GREAT professor makes time for his students and manages time very well
Great teacher, very resourceful, always available to help in anyway. Best and helpful online class I have ever taken.
Awesome Professor. Friendly and makes his points clear. Communication with him was great; he was always there to help us and never made it seem like we were a burden for bothering him. Thank you Professor!
Good teacher, always willing to help and explain concepts. Provided very quick responses to inquiries.
He is a great professor and if we had more time in this class I believe he would have been even better.
Very, very smart! He can answer a question directly and correctly, without hesitation.

30. My overall evaluation of this course is...
Good i learned a lot
although I felt the coursework a little overwhelming, because I'm taking other business courses, this is what is expected for a summer course.
Great subject, instructor was instrumental in better understanding and developing the concepts of marketing.
It was a great course.
It is a well organized class that keeps you on your toes. Overall Mr. Keaunui is a great teacher and wants the best out of his students.
Very Good
This course was very challenging but very helpful and informative.
I had a great experience with this course. It was my first online course ever, as well as my first course for UHWO. It wasn't stressful at all with the clear instruction and open communication. I will definitely take more online courses as well as courses with Professor Keaunui.
Good quality course.
I really liked the course and the professor touched on everything we needed to know.

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
He taught me methods of business and lots more encourage for continu education example; speaking methods in front of people , talked about mind set for goals. He gave us the assigments that which made me read each chapterfor to understand instead lectured in the class. He taught to his students knowledgeably. He really wants to see for improving each student in the class. He gave encourage to try harder to the student who needs to change for.
I learned a lot about the significance of marketing in the business world. Through regular presentations, we gained valuable experience communicating the concepts and gaining confidence in front of an audience. The final project was a detailed marketing proposal, which we presented to a real business owner. This allowed us to turn concepts and material into real-world application.
I learned more about marketing than I ever thought I could. Professor Keaunui taught us a lot about the right way to present professionally. I've never really paid attention to the smallest detail, but now I will. They are most important than what you are presenting.
It opened my eyes to the importance of marketing. The effort and time that gets placed when marketing a product is crazy. But I enjoyed it and it has helped me better understand different ways that I can market myself and my business.
I had never taken a Marketing class before. I learned all of the concepts from the text book and implemented them in class every week. I feel like I gained the "real world" experience of what it takes to be in a Marketing group.
This was not a concentration/major requirement but it did provide tremendous value to me as a small business owner.
Very good course. Helped me within my marketing skill in the real world.
I understand concepts of marketing that will help me through later endeavors
Everything about this class helped in professional development because of the presentations that was assigned every week. It let us grow to better speakers.
This was my first dive into Business Marketing and I came out of this class with such a strong desire to continue in the field and a certain sense of readiness for the courses to come. This was definitely the right course for me and was the reason that I feel my major is the fit.
It is not in my major, but I did learn a lot this semester. After this class I feel I can speak intelligently about marketing.
I like professor gave us the opportunity to lecture since nobody wants to be an unqualified teacher; everyone studied very hard and tried their best to present material. After this class, I felt that I will be more confident to speak in front of audiences. That was the most valuable I learned in this class. I think that will be very useful in the future of my career.
I believe that for a management major this course helped to enhance my knowledge of how important marketing is to a company. As a working professional I can already use the lessons and examples learned and played out in the weekly oral projects that we participated in. It is a much more effective way to learn, which is by doing. Doing the research, problem solving, even something seemingly trivial as getting up in from of a group of fellow students to present an idea that need to believe in, in order to sell your product or service.Book learning is important, but application is critical. Many thanks Professor Keaunui, for what at first seemed unorthodox, became incredible and more importantly useful, lessons.
This class taught me a great deal about time management and to contact group members as soon as possible so that the task will get done before the next class. This class made me get a sense of group presentations because that's what we pretty much did for the semester.
This course was very informational in the business field.
This course does not have much relation to my major but if I were to go into marketing I feel this class would give the stepping stones I need.
The course did provide valuable insight into how to successfully market a product or idea to a specific target market. I feel that I can apply some of the content to a real-world setting. However, I did feel as though the textbook provides an overbearing amount of "lists" on trivial concepts and definitions that hinder the main ideas of the subject.
I need this class to fulfill my business management degree. This course had taught me so much about public speaking. Because that's all there is. Everything else is self taught. It's true. Marketing does require a ton of public speaking. It would be nice if the professor actually give pointers and good suggestions toward profession. After presentations being done, he gave suggestions toward the presentation itself yet does not tell us how to perfect it and make them actually useful when we get jobs. We're basically blinds leading blinds there.
It made me realize that marketing required a lot of processes, and concepts. I now appreciate the work that marketers do to create advertisements, commercials and other methods of promotion.
Professor Keaunui provided a classroom that emphasizes on presentations and time management. His class helped me gain more experience in talking a front of people and to step out of my comfort zone.
Professor Keaunui provided us with assignments that not only covered the required reading materials, but also gave us ways to apply the different concepts in weekly presentation.
I initially took this course as a General Business Admin major. I have changed my major, but can truthfully say I gained so much knowledge from taking this course not just about marketing, but real word skills as well.

I think that how, what of he is teaching ver good. He makes the Students work to lean. t The assigment: This is good for making to read the each chapter instead lectur the chapter in the class. Presentation : This is good to get selfcourage that which mean that " can do" and "can do". Group: Changing group member in the begining and fixed the member in later of method is highly recommed to keep that I had a best friendship. This is a network for real life, not only in the unversity. Presentation of subject : This is excellent idea that which is a real subject that which is a real business life. If you ask the students with the a fake subject, the students are not research much. Because of Mr. Keaunui, even I am thinking to continu education after Bachelor degree. Even when I started to get back to the university in the beginning, I was anxiety tha I might liked to dropping the schooling any more.
Nothing could really be added. Though I'd like to see what a full lecture with Professor Keaunui would be like, it was really fun and more educating learning the objectives ourselves.
Nothing
More lectures from Professor. Learning every concept from the book made it a bit difficult to understand. Since this was my first marketing class just reading concepts was a bit boring and with the more complex ones I wasn't able to fully grasp the meaning. I would have preferred more information given directly from Professor since he actually majored in the field!
Integrating more video augmentation such as
Less discussion question every week and maybe cutting back on so much group presentations.
nothing every thing seemed fine as far as materials go
Nothing. Leave it that way
Offering an online version of the text would be helpful.
If professor could do some lecture will be perfect. For example, since most of time we are not sure our comprehension is right or wrong. At this point, Professor can demand their students to ask some questions and post those questions to the Laulima, later he can explain them in the class. It is better than googleing the content and wondering which answer is right.
Possibly a field trip or assignment that took us to marketing firm(s) or even a marketing department of a company.
The professor should have done a summary or lecture on the chapters at least....and then make us present on what he taught us.
I liked how this class was structured. No suggested improvements.
On a college level, I would expect at least some form of quizzes, written tests, and ACTUAL lectures. We did not have a single lecture all semester due to redundant peer presentations every class.
Too much presentations! I know lectures can be boring and non-interactive, but it would be nice if we actually learn the concept from an expert. I self-taught everything in the textbook. I learn a lot more about public speaking than marketing itself. I'm old-fashioned. I don't mind lectures here and there. It can be interactive if you want it to be. Presentations are a must for this class, but there're too much. Most of time when preparing for presentation, none of us worry about the concept but how to make it passable to the professor. It's pointless.
Nothing, the group projects were a valuable experience.
I feel the class could do more with lectures and examples of real world marketing experiences.
In my opinion, I think the instructions for the weekly presentation assignments could have been more clearly written.
A balance between lectures and presentations, and criticism based on a uniform rubric.

I do not have any better idea. If I will have, I will let you know. You are my best a professor.
I actually really enjoyed the way that the course was structured, allowing the students to frequently present and become involved with the material, rather than a boring lecture.
No suggestions. Professor had a really different way to reach us students than all the other professors. He made time for us and held conferences to see how we were doing over the break sacrificing his own time for all of us. I've never had a teacher to care that much for us.
Nothing. Everything he did he did for a reason and it worked.
Presenting every single week was a bit difficult. We always had to meet up outside of class for multiple hours in order to come up with proper presentations. This was fun and a great learning experience however it was really difficult to fit it in with everyones busy schedules. I personally would have preferred a lecture every other week from Professor and then a presentation the following week on what we learned.
maybe a better time to have the class besides 7:00pm
it wasnot fair to the students doing the thirtyone company because it wasnt like the other students companys where it was the clients own. JR and Lisa own that company and it was easier than what the thityone students had to do.but you should keep it that way instead of having students make up their own company. this one was way better
Maybe going through a few presentations and seeing how students perform before setting up the final groups would be beneficial so that everyone gets better acquainted before hand. Also, having the businesses come in maybe the 3rd week or so would be nice. It gets the student's feet wet with some of the discussion questions and how the class will be run so that everyone understands what needs to be accomplished before the speakers discuss their business. This would also be beneficial due to the fact that given a few weeks students will learn some of the material needed to understand what questions to ask the business and the such.
The presentations every week were a bit much, but I did learn a lot. Maybe having one extra week were a group can get a break would be good.
professor can do little more lecture
Most of the time questions were answered, but some not as straightforward as I had hoped.
To basically teach us about this subject. I felt like his in class course felt like an online course. I felt like we had to learn on our own pretty much.
I think there shouldn't be a presentation every week because I don't like speaking in front of the class all the time.
Possibly review material a little more in class.
I understand the importance of applying concepts through interactive, hands-on presentations. However, I was deeply disappointed by the professor's reliance on student presentations EVERY SINGLE CLASS to avoid lectures. Frankly, I believe that is very unprofessional. We pay tuition to be taught through a combination of resources, e.g. lectures, group assignments, etc. This class provided a biased, singular approach to teaching (teaching was done via peer feedback, barely professor feedback). I believe that this is a serious threat to the value students receive from this institution and to its reputation. Too often, this class felt as though we were presenting to each other in a casual high-school-like setting, NOT in an institution of higher education. This particular class should be audited because all of these claims can be easily confirmed.
I know professor means well. He wants us to learn about how to market by giving us presentations every week. The reasons he gave us is literally because he does not want to lecture. He gave the students exam questions to take home and study them, then he all of a sudden changed his mind last minute and turn the exam into a presentation instead. He wasted hours of our time studying for the exam and the reason he gave us was he didn't want to grade so much students' exams. Also he is very flaky. He tells us that he will be flexible and meet for problems and other concerns. Yet, he is often late for meetings, not matching to what he had told us. He is often unclear about his requirement for presentations and let us blind leading blind. He came out to be a tough guy at first. He would humiliate students in front of everybody. And most of the time he would pack his things and get ready to leave while students are still giving their presentations. It is extremely rude and please stop doing that and listen to people while they speak.

A little more lecture on chapters.
I would have liked Professor Keaunui to do a little more lecturing of marketing concepts.
To have a balance between lectures and presentations. More class time dedicated to meeting with group mates, so if students have busy schedules outside of class, preparation for presentations wont be too much of an issue.
17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
He is a excellent professor.
I think Mr. Keaunui is a very effective teacher. He pushed his students out of their comfort zones, and encouraged them to expect more from themselves
He is an amazing teacher and I would recommend him to the students that will be taking him next semester!
For my first semester here at UH West it was an awesome experience and I will be taking classes from him in the future.
Hes an awesome professor! He's very outgoing, easy to talk to, and you can tell he loves what he does. He takes an interest in all of his students and I feel like it made all the students feel very comfortable in his classroom.
A+, really good Professor!
a very easy to get along with guy who only wants you to succeed, but dosnt allow it easily
best professor ever. forces you to learn and do your part in every group presentation. concepts are there as well as everything else. keep doing what your doing because it is really efficient. very friendly and easy to talk to especially if we need soemthing.
"DOPE." As Dobby would say. Easy to listen to, clear cut, friendly, gives constructive feedback, understanding, etc.
His class demands a lot, which might not work with everyone's schedule.
He is very good and motivated teacher I ever met. I like his special lecture method which is let student lecture and do the presentation in every class. Pushing students to learn the materials. I am so glad to choose this class with him. Thanks professor Keaunui.
Excellent, I would recommend to those whom are interested in the field to seek him out.
As an individual he is a nice and approachable guy.
I really liked Professor Keaunui. With his busy schedule, he made accommodations to meet with us, outside of campus, and was able to call or text him as well.
Very easy going and passionate teacher. Down to earth and easy to get a long with and knows a lot about marketing.
Professor Keaunui is personable and friendly, but there is much room available for improvement in his teaching methods. Specifically, he should be more straight-forward when answering questions, provide a VARIETY of assignments to be more effective in teaching students, hold lectures- granted, speaking for almost 3 hours is not effective or practical, but some form of professional lectures are integral at a college level.
He is a cool guy. Not much restrictions around him except you cannot call him by first name. Yet, if he teaches a little differently, I would like him more.
Overall, this professor knows a lot on about marketing. He is straightforward with what is expected of us, he is very clear about assignments and homework.
fair in grading, and always willing to help his students. He recognizes what the student needs and fulfills that need through his instruction.
He is an outstanding teacher.
Overall I enjoyed the way Professor Keaunui taught this class. His assignments help to clarify some difficult marketing concepts. Great job!!
Professor Keaunui is a very approachable person, and has much knowledge on the subject of marketing. He was always willing to answer questions, but due to the broad subject of marketing students often had to think for themselves and think outside of the box.

20. My overall evaluation of this course is...
I believe I got a great deal more out of this course than I would have in a more traditional lecture hall environment.
I loved it enough to change my major to marketing!
It was the bomb. It challenged me every week with new concepts and ideas. I feel it helped me become a better marketer.
Its a fun course! I made a lot of friends and good memories. Plenty of hard work and a lot of time and dedication but it was all worth it in the end!
Excellent, excellent course taught by a very dynamic, passionate, caring Instructor. The subject matter itself is fascinating. Professor Keaunui tried several different approaches during the course of the class. Having such a dynamic approach made coming to class interesting and engaging---something that I looked forward to every meet. Professor Keaunui clearly is a popular, popular instructor for good reason.
Overall very helpful and great course!
I liked it it was a little different but I generally enjoyed the class.
rigorous in all contents but worth it. one of the very few classes that give you that "college experience"
GREAT. I had so much fun while learning tons of useful business information in the duration of the course.
It was a very demanding course, and not every course should be this demanding. I just got lucky with my other classes not requiring so much out-of-class time.
I learned more the business and marketing knowledge and speech knowledge in this class than I learned in other class, so I could say this class is amazing.
Excellent, it went late but I believe the time spent in the class enabled use to get to know each other a bit better, which I appreciate. It fit well into my busy work schedule.
It was a fun class, met a lot of cool people and I liked how by the end of the semester we were like one big ohana.
I thought this class was very helpful and informative. I was able to interact with the other students, and learn more about them.
The weekly presentations were scary but a necessary evil because I gained some presentation practice.
The course requires giving presentations and hearing presentations. Learned about public speaking. Other than that, not much to expect here.
that I learned a lot about what marketing is really about. Also, at first I wasn't sure about the presentations and how it would help us instead of having lecture but I understand why he did that. I'm glad it wasn't lecture the whole three hours because that would of been very boring and although I hate presentations it was doable for me because I mean in the real world you may have to present to people. And by doing these presentations help me practice and try to do better every week.
a valuable experience because it opened me up to networking and learning about how important marketing is in a business.
I had a great time in BUSA 300.
Overall I enjoyed the class. Students need to know if they plan on taking this class they need to prepare to do a lot of out of class meetings with fellow students.
This course had to be the most challenging course for me this semester, not because of the assignments per say, but because of the time needed to dedicate to the course. This is a great course to take for students who plan on majoring in marketing because the course really forces you to apply yourself to the marketing concepts. You gain real word business and people skills through taking this course, but again keep in mind a lot of time and effort must be dedicated to this class due to group presentations. Because of the large amount of public speaking involved in this course, this class is definitely a challenge for students with fear of talking in front of crowd or English second language speakers. Perhaps this courses could be considered a speech or OC credit that will go towards graduation.

You go sir!
Keep it up!
keep up the good work professor
I would say thanks my professor! Mr. Keaunui! I appreciate your help and encouragement!
When one of our classmates got injured to the point of being in ICU, Professor Keaunui displayed a caring nature and vested interest in their return to health. Pleasantly unexpected.
This class broke the barrier of me talking in front of people and really being involved outside of class.
Mandatory meetings with the professor were required off-campus during non-school hours, e.g. evening on a weekend at Starbucks. I don't think that should be allowed as a part of the class mandates. Meetings should be held within the school week on campus where students and teachers agree to meet upon signing up for their respective roles in the beginning of the semester. Meeting at Starbucks close to professor's house seems to be a convenience for him at students' expense. Students were reluctant to express it, but we all had issues with it. It is appreciated that he is willing to take from his personal time to help students but resources, such as class time, email, & Skype should be better used more efficiently.

This course taught me a lot of different things about why consumers behavior the way they do. This will help me when I open my own business.
This course has truly enhanced my consumer behavior skills! This is everything that I want to do in my field of work.
This course helped me to understand how important consumer behavior is to marketing.
It gave me a better understanding of consumer behavior and why we make the decisions we make in everyday purchases.
I developed an understanding of have people behave as a consumer and with this knowledge I can effectively reach and influence consumers and create products that fulfill the needs of the consumers.
It will be useful for my marketing specialization later in my career.
This course was to full fill course requirements and I learn a lot about consumer behavior. How the minds of consumers work is crucial to the marketing process.
This class allowed me to understand how consumers behave when before, during, and after a purchase. The the world of marketing, the knowledge learned in this class is essential.
improved understanding
It helped me better understand consumer behaviors
I guess this course helped me with fulfilling my requirements to get my bachelors degree. While I am not a fan of online classes, they were this was the only one available that had pertained to my major. I guess it is good to know the concepts of Consumer Behavior, but am I going to use what I learn here in the real world? I guess I have an understanding of consumer perception.
The class has given good insight to consumer behavior. The text book was easy to read and understand. It has taught me about what motivates us and moves people to make decisions and how to use that knowledge to be successful in promoting products and services.
Learned a lot about cultural differences in consumer behavior.
taught me many aspects of the marketing field and how consumer behavior is an important concept for marketers to understand and thrive.

Maybe videos for visual learning.
The resources were sufficient for a full understanding of what the course was all about
Can't think of any
I feel like this course doesn't need improving.
I think that there should be more hands-on learning, such as small projects to assist the discussion questions.

Maybe adding videos for interactive media learning.
It was confusing in the beginning because I was not used to the discussion threads and where to post but this professor was helpful in explaining what he wanted.
Professor Keaunui was efficient in delivering the information need to complete the course and the assignments were effective in giving me an understanding of the course.
What was expected in the discussion threads was unclear at times. If it was made more clear or mistakes corrected early on it would help the class flow better.
No changes needed.
None
It was very hard for me to understand certain things because I was mostly getting feedback from other students. I think that more involvement by the instructor would be a good balance. In addition, I think that the inclusion of more hands-on type of projects such as for advertisement - creating an ad that utilizes concepts from the book, and so forth.
more integral material
I like the class as is
I guess more student participation.
The class was well structured and organized. However, there was limited "lecture" time - no readings or posting from the instructor. It would be good to start out the week by introducing the chapters and "hearing" (reading) his views of the concepts.
Less mundane and repetitive group discussion instructions and more professor-initiated questions etc. for discussion.

great professor! All Professors should have his teaching style & personality.
He is an excellent instructor. The materials and course work, provide students the opportunity to collaborate, engage with one another within an online environment. Mr. Keaunui was available to answer and questions, and provide guidance as needed.
Edward Keaunui is a great instructor and knows his topic very well. He is able to quickly respond back to emails and is also able to meet you in person if you needed any help with assignments. I have previously taken Keaunui for another class, and I'll definitely be taking him again!
good professor. Available for help when needed. Used questions and content that causes you to think, examine, and understand consumer behavior.
a good professor that cares if his students understand the material.
He was very organized and clear of what he required us to do. He was easy to get into contact with and he responded quickly.
A good teacher. He has a tendency to let things go for a while that are done the wrong way and then asking everyone why they have been doing it wrong. For students who have taken him before it makes more sense, but someone new to his teaching methods may be surprised. His is a nice teacher and the class is organized, so any complaints are minor.
good
He is a great instructor, he explains the concepts well and the assignments help me understand the theories at a greater level. He is also accommodating with people like me who work 60plus hours a week.
Professor Keaunui is a great professor. I goes out of his way to help his students in anyway he can. He also tries to involve his students in other activities other than class which is great. I think he is very fair and also expects his student to take responsibility for their education.
Okay. It felt like he wasn't really involved in the class and it was hard to understand the material.
good
Professor Keaunui is a great professor to take online
good professor
Professor Keaunui did a great job of using class discussions to reinforce concepts. You had to assume that the information from the class discussions were correct though.
He was absent most of the course. I feel like online instructors should engage more with their students.

This course is very useful for everyday life, especially because we are constantly making purchases.
great. I learned a lot about the reasoning and choices behind consumer behavior. I enjoyed the case studies and found the content very interesting.
I enjoy the course and I am looking forward to furthering my understanding of this course.
A decent online course that requires a fair amount of work and a lot of participation. The discussion threads took some getting used to but were not that bad. The grading for the class is a bit slow and can get weeks behind. It was neither extremely challenging or too easy and boring, it fit somewhere in between.
good
A+
This class was overall "okay." I expected it to be more hands on, instead of just the discussion questions that other students responded to.

Great course towards becoming a business major
Really awesome class! Very easy if you just do the work assigned!

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
This was my first management course, and I learned a lot about international management and the research/cultural understanding required to be successful in a globalized business environment.
It enhanced my public speaking skills
Made me learn a lot more into depth about managements for sure! Especially in a international setting.
This course gave me a better understanding of how multinational corporations operate and the necessary planning that has to be done before conducting business in or with another country.
The course gives a real out look on how to conduct oneself within other cultures, and shows how to be as professional as possible with a mindset to be able to perceive and adapt.
Allowed me to think outside the box as a manager working internationally.
this course really helped me by giving me the tools to help bridge the cultural divide that management faces in the work place. this class took my foundation of management knowledge built upon it so that i feel much more comfortable when trying to communicate or motivate people from vastly different back grounds than my own
This class helped me to be less afraid of speaking in front of people.
It taught me different management styles and perspectives for global management will be important in the future
I have a greater understanding different levels and methods of management. I also understand certain strategies taken by management to take a business global, and the steps they take to be a successful international company.
Helped me to better understand that being in an international market is not the same as U.S. standards of practice and management.
It definitely taught me a lot of things on management. But not only management but management in the international scale.
This course challenged my teamwork skills.
My Major is Marketing. I guess one way this class helped me was to see that I need to think outside of the picture when it comes to thinking about business. I guess I was always ethnocentric in my thinking about just thinking about the United States. But after this global managemant class, I see things from a different perspective that I have not seen before.
Some of the material was review from other courses. The new things I did learned helped me understand how to deal with different cultures and managing businesses in different geographic locations.
This course has strengthen my knowledge of how management should think.
Having mini presentations really helped us understand the chapter in a real life experience. As we were planning a skit, we would come across situations in which the solutions were in the book. it also helped to guide us in our thinking. We started off shaky and nervous, but towards the middle of the semester, we ended up much more confident in our presentations and with the class.
Learned a lot about the culture of different global perspectives.
I believe all the information gained from this classroom will definitely help with any business I get myself into.
opened my eyes to the global aspect of business. very informative and learned many new things.
This course was very hands on and required effective teamwork to succeed.

Nothing, his activities are great and makes me understand better.
Nothing at this time.
More in class time to work on group presentations.
some kind of overview to tell students what is going to be talked about and what to look for, for the lesson.
Chapter summary notes, switch up group members
I think using the discussion questions instead of the case studies are better because I think it helps you learn the concepts more.
Google doc's saved us when it came to time management. It was difficult to work with 4 separate schedules outside class hours.
Not much. Laulima was an effective tool for downloading what we needed to download. Other than that, everything that we needed to do presentations (google drive) really helped because it gave us what we needed to collaborate on group projects.
A little more structure for what you wanted from the presentations of each chapter.
The teacher should be the one speaking often.
I always get the feeling that after we do a presentation, we could do it better if given one more week to research and practice. sometimes there was not enough time to meet other students outside of class because everyone is busy. So, my suggestion is that for the final, there should be a draft final and then a real final. So we could take the grade from the draft final, or we could make corrections to it for another chance to present the final. Just a thought, not sure if most students would want to redo/correct their presentation. I did feel that everyone was being nice to each other and not really giving "helpful" feedback. So, because of that, some students may take the presentations for granted that it is easier than it really should be.

16. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
I actually really enjoyed the classroom, because Mr. Keaunui teaches the material through interactive exercises and student presentations that make students immerse themselves in each chapter rather than listen to a lecture.
Others should learn his style of teaching!
Nothing at this time.
Talk with the students after every presentation and summarize key points of the presentations that were good and what were bad to help students improve. Have more descriptive overview summary of what in the chapter he wanted us to learn about. Help the student who has no experience in management gear themselves toward thinking like one.
my only suggestion would be smaller groups and more presentations. it seemed like this semester there was a lot of weak team members and when put into a larger group they can more easily hide that fact. i can see the other side of the coin though. if you have a lot of small groups that arent grasping the material then group size will be working against them. i guess in that case I dont have any suggestions.
I think that professor could allot more time on explaining those complicated concepts in class, because sometimes the students have different understanding of those.
It would be nice to switch group members every so often
I felt like class was constantly going overtime, and it was a little bit of an issue for me since I had work or kids to pick up.
Really well organized.
As said before, google doc's helped with scheduling when it came to putting together presentations. I did not care for the 2 minute reflections, only because it was never enough time to really write a clear reflection. Maybe a free write reflection on the first day of class- at least 5min, and then another mid-term, and then a final reflection at the end of the course would be helpful. I would suggest a little more warning about how much time outside of class hours is expected. I would have enjoyed working with other classmates, maybe changing the groups every so often. The midterm was a bit confusing. I liked the oral exam, but the mixture of the oral and the written was frustrating. Maybe the oral for a midterm review or pre-exam, and then take a written essay exam the next day.
If I were to judge his teaching style, I would say that it is very effective. Most professors just want you to listen to them while they talk on and on about a subject that doesn't really appeal to them. But having us give presentations and giving feedback for each presentation allows us to grow as students. We should take this learning experience and apply it to real life.
You shouldn't let your students keep on presenting every time. I believe that you should be the one who lectures at some extent. I am always afraid of coming into this class because I don't know what to expect. This is the class that I focus on a lot. Know that we have other classes too, not only yours.
I like the format in which we do a reflection. It is amazing that Mr. Keaunui would have time to read all of our hand written reflections, especially since my handwriting is like a doctor. A suggestion would be to have certain groups who is presenting to just focus on one section and /or concept of the chapter, that way we don't hear three presentations of same information just different graphic styles. I am an individualist, and felt in the beginning that the teams was a bad idea - at least for me. However, as the semester went on, it helped me see concepts in different opinions and perspectives. Really liked it when we had time to meet in class, but there should be a guideline sheet for the team to complete and turn in at the end of class time. This should state the chapter, purpose and maybe a slight idea of how we will present. That way we don't just waste time socializing. Some groups there are a few that was just socializing and I am glad i was not in that group.
N/A
Not sure this can be helped, but when placed into a group by the teacher. The group should be able to decide is a group member be released from group if work isn't being done or is just riding on the coat tails of the other students that are doing the work and take the class seriously.
it was hard to grasp a good concept on topics that you weren't presenting on.
Not my idea, but someone suggested that the midterm should have been a presentation that would be half of what the final presentation would be. This way people can learn from their mistakes.
17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
I think he is an effective professor
Great professor!!!
He is a great instructor. The manner in which he teaches the class helps build the students' confidence in themselves and ensures that we learn the information.
that he is a very effective and positive instructor that leads the students to think critically with the projects presented. This lead us invest serious time and effort with constructing our projects.
He very prompt and eager to answer questions student has. Very nice teacher learned a lot. Very inspiring to have a teacher who goes to school/ has a billion jobs besides teaching. Does a very good job in having the students be at the edge of their seats and to wake up and learn and read your book. More structure on what he would like and his implementation in a presentation in the beginning would be good and gradually not input any in the end to have student get the hang of presenting first and walk by ourselves in the end.
i really enjoyed the experience and thought he did an excellent job. he really knew his material was very helpful when i needed help. i have already registered for another class he is teaching.
He cares a lot about his students
Professor keaunui is a great teacher,I like his idea of having a class made up of mostly mostly presentations; it helps us all become better presenters. I think that he is a fair teacher, he grades fairly and gives everyone a chance.
A very hands on type of instructor. Helps me to pay attention instead of him lecturing.
He's a great professor! He cares a lot about his students and checks up on them often. I really enjoyed his teaching style!
It is an great class.
Great teaching style. Edward Keaunui encourages students to speak up, be team leaders, and learn a lot while still having fun. He constantly reminds students that they are adults, not in high school anymore and treats them that way. He is understanding, encouraging, presents and teaches the material clearly, strict when he needs to be, and always on time. What more could a student ask for?
Good professor. He means well. I think he gets a little harsh when it comes to asking questions. But i guess that's how real life works.
He's a cool professor. He likes people that talk a lot about the material of the chapters.
You are such a great professor, but your teaching style needs to change.
Mr. Keaunui is an awesome teacher, really. Not only does he take time to teach so that students are engaged, encouraged, and educated, but something that really hit me when i stayed late after class to work on the team project. In the beginning of the semester, there was a elderly gentlemen in the class, definitely the pace was fast for him and he did not even know how to operated the computer (at least thats what i observed). After a few classes, he was not there anymore. I thought he had dropped the class. Then, when i stayed late to work on our project, he walks in and Mr. Keaunui is teaching him at his pace - one to one. That is what makes a good teacher become a great educator - commitment and passion for wanting to help a student learn. Meeting us at our needs and finding a way. I am truly stunned at this and will remember this as I share my experiences with others. UHWO is on the right track to have alumni's that will give back to the school because the teachers are able to connect with students and build that valuable relationship.
Great teacher.
I really enjoyed the group learning atmosphere and the way that students are responsible with sharing the information and present to fellow classmates on the learned material. The format creates great opportunities to speak and express yourself in a business setting.
excellent. I would take another class he teaches.

20. My overall evaluation of this course is...
I learned a lot. Many aspects of this course carried over into my marketing class and I believe the terms, and concepts will be useful in my next semester in ethics and strategic management.
TAKE THE COURSE WITH KEAUNUI!
Great course, would definitely recommend this course to other students.
it was a very fast paced course towers the middle/end of the semester. Overall though, it provides an outlook that helps you base concepts on concrete ideas.
Very informative, there's a lot to think about in starting a business internationally or sending out expatriates to further your business objectives. Very good for an entrepreneur who plans to expand their business beyond the borders. Inspiring to students who plan on one day starting their own business and plan to have a competitive edge by going globally one day.
A+
I like that we present in class and the students are encouraged to make comments or ask questions.
A lot of work, tough, stressful. But I could see how it could relate to real life sitatuons
I think that for the class to have better presentations we need a clearer idea of exactly what is wanted for the projects; I know my group thought we were presenting what was expected a few times and then we were told we weren't. Overall the course is set up pretty well, I especially liked the way the midterm exam was designed. I also think it works to have every group have a few chapter presentations and then the final, rather than presenting every week.
Great course, needed to get a better understanding of the international space.
Awesome! This is a unique class that gave us the opportunity to learn from one another through presentations.
Great class to play in the management role. As the management of a company you had to learn to play as a team, and then be able to manage a company from the bottom up. If you are also have fear of public speaking, he will make the environment comfortable to feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them.
interesting material and all objectives were met however, I found the text difficult to read. I did not like how when it came to definitions and terms, there were only examples and never a clear definition. I found my self researching terms and information via internet rather than using the course text. I loved the course objective, but disliked the text paired with it.
Good course. I liked how he didn't lecture. Case study's kept us on track. we had time in class to prepare for our presentations so that was nice. -another thing: our mid-term. I studied the wrong section in our textbook and was docked because I didn't remember just one stupid company. For our midterm: did you want straight book definitions our put the concepts into our own words. Because from all I heard were book definitions and those people seemed to get an A. But I did like the fact that it wasn't an exam on paper. I did way better in this mid term exam than I did in other classes when I had a mid term. And in Economics it was a huge chunk of our grade.
This class teaches you the essence of Management and we applied it through presentations. Professor Keaunui does an excellent job by allowing us to apply each chapter material through presentations and he adds his professional knowledge on top of that
It's a nice class that you do a lot of presentations for. The presentations help lead up to the final presentation, which make it easier.
This course was quite hard.
In the beginning, there was a lot of reading and concepts to grasp. However, it was helpful that only one chapter a week, that is a good pace. I think that it was good to do the case studies because we had to do more research to answer some questions. Feel we should be able to turn in the case assignments at a later date because sometime the reading is very long and we need to read it again to really understand the concept. i can see that Mr. Keaunui is creative because there was one presentation where he had two groups act in a negotiation between Japan and Americans. That was great. It kept students engaged and focused on what was happening. Really like the mini presentations and enjoyed listening to others.
Fun. Very different way to learn about the concepts and theories.
Great class, and great teacher!
excellent, I would recommend it to other students.
Excellent

-I think one requirement would be for future groups to meet at least once per week about there Final group presentation. I know at the beginning of the semester it doesn't seem like there isn't much to do, but get the project done as soon as possible! Or at least work on the project gradually. -I thought the days where we met up as a group to work on the Final project were ineffective to be honest. Nobody had done any research, and it felt like none of us did any research. I thought to myself," well i guess since nobody else in the group did any research, why should I?" i know I shouldn't feel that way but that is how I felt. -I did like the preparation days though. At least that way we know that other group members are coming to class to talk about the project if our schedules conflict. -Another thing about our group projects, It was really hard to cooperate with people who seem like they don't want to cooperate. Maybe disignate a group leader. But at the same time if I was disignated group leader, would they have listened to me. It felt like whenever I had an idea of how we should do things in that country, they would just squash it and say, "we need to work on everything right now" and not even recognized my idea. So I just kept my mouth shut and let them do their thing because they were hogging the whole presentation while I felt like chopped liver. Next time if it were up to me, have a group project actually be a group project!
This is not an easy course because there are many new concepts to understand at the same time. Some more confusing than others. Really enjoyed how Mr. Keaunui kept encouraging us after we gave our presentations. Sometimes, we are not sure if we confused the class even further, but with his positive words, it helped us walk out of the class on a good note. Also felt that his truthful comments helped us to try harder in understanding and work better as a group together. learning from our mistakes and moving forward is what we need to do in real life, so this did set us up to conquer real life work issues. I would recommend other students to take his class.

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
Taught me about international management.
This course enhanced my professional development by learning about management. I was able to understand the workload managers take upon and apply that information to a global scale. I have more knowledge of applying what I learn in this country and take that information to understand different cultures.
I learned the methods and trainings and problems i can be faced with in international management.
This course is greatly related to my major. I will be dealing with different kinds of businesses in the future, and it's good to know others' culture and goals. This course opened my eyes and I gained more knowledge about the international business world.
I believe this class has prepared me for all aspects of my future career by expanding my awareness into a global perspective. I will definitely hold onto this knowledge so I can apply it to the business world once I am a part of it.
He challenges you to think in the real world sense. He not only wants you to understand the terms but also implement them in your daily life or work.
It has helped me to have a better understanding of what businesses are like internationally. Not everything is the same in every culture.
It gave me some ideas about how to recognize the cultural difference can effect to business management. Also I can learn more the ways people act and behave from different countries.
I took this course to fulfill one of my Business Administration degree requirements. This BUSA 386 course in Global Management and Organizational Behavior really opened up my perspective on the business practices that companies utilize to conduct themselves and their businesses in a sensible manner when looking at a global scale. With advancement in technology, in today's world and markets, people and businesses can connect in many different ways through the use of the virtual world, via internet, teleconference, phone, emails, texts, etc. We are so interconnected, it makes communication so constant, but with this, we have to learn how to conduct ourselves when dealing with other cultures and countries across the globe, so that we may be courteous, respectful, and mindful of others, while trying to coexist and conduct business on this grand and global scale.
This course taught me many things about management all around the world and how each culture has many different management styles.
It helped me understand international management techniques and skills.
I have already taken a global business class but I feel this class went more in depth.
The course provide an insight of the real world events that relates to the course material.
Taught me the importance of international management and why I should understand business on a global scale.
Between Prof. Keaunui's International Marketing and his International Management classes I feel completely ready to start and international business.

I have no problem working with professor Keaunui. His teaching style and methods helped me understand the material in this course.
More examples, resources, and activities other than the book.
I don't have a problem answering the questions on the discussion board. However, I didn't enjoy the fact that replying to two people weekly affects the final grade. I had 4 online classes total this semester, and it seemed tedious because those classes also required a discussion and replying to several people.

He did a very good job about studying cases from the textbook. This gave me a lot of information and easy to remember from analysis them. For the assignment, there are a lot of questions to answer each week. Maybe this cut back to 85% and more in case study.
None.
I enjoyed doing the disccussion questions each and every week. And viewing other class mates answers to see if we agree or if we can relate to there answer.
more visuals
place less emphasis on "participation"
Maybe an online lecture for each chapter would be a great idea.
Grade updates more often would be awesome.
Discussions on laulima get pretty tedious and boring. By answering the questions from the book, everyone gives just about the same answers. Is there any way to liven that up some? Maybe less questions but more real word scenarios to discuss? For example, ask a debatable question. Or a thought provoking question. Take a question from your final paper every week. If you were to open a business outside of the US, which country would you choose and why? One suggestion for the midterm- it is required to have a book source and outside source for each answer. Sometimes more time is spend looking for a reliable outside source than answering the question. I think it's more important to spend the time thinking about and answering the question than browsing internet sites.
17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
A good professor.
Professor Keaunui is a great professor. He has much knowledge of the material that helps the students learn in this course. If there was a misunderstanding, he addressed the situation professionally and clearly. Overall, he's a valuable professor and a I recommend other students to take his courses.
A+ I fell behind because of a text book issue and health problem and he was so nice and gave me the opportunity to catch up. Awesome professor!
Professor Keaunui is a great teacher who puts emphasis on learning in this course. There was a time where he caught people plagiarizing and gave them the opportunity to truly show him that they are learning. He cares about his students and is available to talk to when needed.
He is a hard as nails teacher that still takes the time to listen to his students when the have an issue that they need to address.
Great professor that truly invests in his students not only while their in his class but after his classes as well.
He is very understanding.
Professor Keaunui is a good instructor. However, he takes forever to update our gradebook.
I liked this passion for teaching and motivation to student. He assisted students in arranging assignment and time in order to put more efforts into this class.
Professor Keaunui is a great teacher and I really enjoyed the information I learned in this class.
I enjoyed Mr. Keaunui's class. He was very organized and set the class goals and objectives early in the course, in his descriptive syllabus and even on the Laulima discussion boards.
He is an awesome teacher that really helps you out when you need help, he cares about your grade and wants you to succeed in life and helps motivate you. I liked that he was able to talk to you whenever you needed help with any of his assignments, and that he replies quick to his emails. I hope to take more classes from him in the future.
Well taught of course and was always helpful and clear.
Great class. Professor keaunui was readily available and would respond to e-mails within a day. I had a problem with my midterm and he took time out of his schedule to call me.
He's a good teacher and treats everyone fairly.
Great instructor. Responded to emails quickly and scheduled to meet in regards to final paper.
I have had Prof. Keaunui for several classes now, he never disappoints me in the quality of his teaching. I can honestly say the the bulk of what I have learned for my business degree will come from what Prof. Keaunui has taught me. He doesn't just sit behind his computer and send emails to his class when papers are due. He gets involved, even in his online classes. He makes himself available to meet with his students for projects or any issues they might be having. He is not easy by any means, but he is fair and will give you the grade you work for. When you sign up for Prof. Keaunui's classes you know you are going to get an education going towards your degree, you're not just paying for a class. To me, thats important.

20. My overall evaluation of this course is...
A good course.
At first I thought this was another International Marketing class. But now, I have seen how different this course is and why students are required to take it. I think it is important as students to not only know the basics of management in our own country but also apply global situations and take us out of our comfort zone. Being open to other cultures and traditions, we can apply what we learned to our work environment and other future jobs/opportunities.
A+ I learned so much from the text and the discussions questions let us input our thoughts and ideas along with the answers.
This is a decent course and I'm glad I took it. I learned a lot and I will use the knowledge obtained in my career.
This class was so hard. I fought tooth and nail to complete every assignment but feel like a stronger person for it.
Great course, but I am leaned that I rather take face to face classes because I learn better that way.
Information overload. You need to have a connection with the course to fully understand it.
I liked this class a lot because I love to know more about international management and people characters from all over the world. Information from it can be very useful for me and for my future goals if having a chance to work oversea.
I enjoyed it, and learned a lot from the material and assignments Mr. Keaunui set fourth in this class, along with the lively interactive discussions with my fellow colleagues on Laulima. I would rate this class an "A."
the course was good and I gained alot of information from doing all the assignments.
Useful and gave me a better understanding of going international

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
The ability to communicate effectively and with confidence.
As a current professional, I was able to learn in-depth of the complexities of the marketing environment. This will truly afford me an opportunity to engage more comprehensively in determining market value in my professional career.
This course made me live out the chapters on a weekly basis. We didn't just understand the terms and applications, we spoke on them and applied them to our weekly presentations. This course has reassured my ability to stand in the midst of my peers and present. This class has opened my eyes to accounting and how it's application to business is crucial.
More comfortable in presenting; and also gives me an idea of what to expect if choose marketing as a career
Overall, the class helped aid in communicating effectively. Oral communications coincides with the aural perception of the audience -- something that is absent in written mediums. Working in a group did simulate a professional environment where individuals must cooperate with others to achieve a goal. However, some students detract from that experience by applying little effort or concern for the group project. Had it been in a professional work environment, the straggler would be penalized, punished, or removed. As a person planning on leading employees to the path to success, I learned that the importance of forming an effective group. Being placed in a group where lack of interest and motivation caused difficulties showed why hiring the right people are needed.
This course provided me with much personal growth. The weekly group presentations was great practice in working well with others and enhancing my public speaking skills. The weekly discussion questions not only taught me the concepts and core material of this course, but also taught me not to take the "easy way out" in answering the questions by just restating the textbook.
very integrated good team building skills
Presentation skills as well as group/team building skills
This course was taken to fulfill my course requirements for my major, and it has given me an overall understanding of the "Marketing Principles." This course have enhanced my personal and professional skills from being able to become efficient in speaking in front of people/class, presenting marketing materials, conveying messages regarding marketing, and performing research & development projects to better understand the principles of marketing.
This course helped to enhance my marketing strategies and overcome my fear of public speaking.
With the constant interaction between student and professor it allowed us to interact with him and ask questions.
Taught me about Marketing.
Professor taught us more about marketing than just advertising the product or service to customers.
I learned how to communicate and present information well, and I learned a lot of concepts of marketing.
I learned more so on my own than in class. The presentations each week only made me stress out more, but made the class get more involved with each other.
Enhanced my knowledge about marketing.
I have learned major aspects of the way marketing is integral in the business world. Wether it is between business to business or if it flows from business to consumer I found value and quality growing experiences.
He helped gain character, confidence, and the whole basic understanding about marketing.
This course helped introduce the study of marketing.
taking this course provided me with more confidence in approaching marketing strategies.
It taught me about marketing and helped me to be more comfortable with public speaking.

Stress to groups, the importance of communicating and responding to other group members.
I enjoyed learning from my instructor. He made the class very practical and applied real life scenarios.
More lectures and real life applications of Marketing from the professor. A balance of student presentations and in class lectures.
This course is very interactive which is great. It provides for a real view of what marketing will be like.
The activities and resources were fine as far as learning goes. However, the final project groups posed as a major problem. Seeing as how the class was structured and scheduled, student chosen groups would be a great benefit to aid learning. Groups were already pre-determined prior to the start of the semester. On the first day of class, we had an icebreaker activity with our group before segmenting into learning in applying the marketing concept. During the third week, the regular class schedule was removed in favor of meeting up with final project group members to discuss plans for the final project. Students should seek out who they want to work with and sign up with the professor. There should be a deadline for sign-ups, which would be the third week of class. Anyone left at the start of class has a final chance to construct a group. Leftovers and absentees will be placed in a group of their own. The groupings for weekly presentations can remain random.
In this course we were expected to read the textbook chapters and learn the concepts/terminology on our own time. Then we would use all of class time to present in front of the class, proving that we gained an understanding. Though I respect this method for teaching us responsibility, I feel that taking a portion of class time to lecture and explain the material will help us students understand the material clearer.

I don't have any recommendations but a comment. I wish the semester didn't end and I had more time to spend with him.
It would be a great learning tool to receive presentations from the teacher.
Fun and effective learning environment; pushed his class from day one
As stated before, Prof. Keaunui's teaching style was sufficient. His construction of groups is where it was flawed. In the process, a lot of unnecessary difficulties were encountered. Had the groups been constructed by the students themselves, the quality of the work will improve. As stated before, the first day of class should be dedicated to getting to know classmates. Students will have up until the third week to form a group. From there, the formed groups will designate roles and assignments to get the final group project completed. Prof. Keaunui you could argue about people working with friends. Statistically, not everyone knows each other. Groups can be formed outside of class, which you totally support. Since you're so intent on groups working together and communicating during free time, then surely forming a group can be the same as well.
As stated above, the only suggestion I have for this course is to take some time to lecture and explain the material, so we as students have a clearer understanding than what the textbook teaches us.

Was not a fan of the amount of group projects. The final project is ok, I feel the other projects prevented me from learning as much as I could.
I suggest less discussion questions.
It's hard meeting outside of class.
More computations of marketing.
i think his methods are great and i wouldnt change anything.
having exams and not weighing so much of the work on group presentations. I felt the group project do not simulate the understanding of what was learned. i would like to have this class more than once a week.
This was the highest work load I have ever had in a class. If there are going to be so many hours toward speech and presentation, then it should be an OC. The discussion questions I got mostly B's and for each week we had discussion questions every week I put 3 hours of work and three pages double spaced per week answering them. 18 chapters at 3 pages comes out to 54 pages and then I have to add on the last paper and all the power points we had to turn in. This class should also be a WI. So I think it is reasonable work if it were a WI and OC.
1. Stress the benefit of meeting with group members throughout the semester to create a well rounded final presentation. 2. Have time cards in the back to signal the presenters of the time elapsed or remaining. 3. Have check points for students to gage where they should be during the semester, project wise.
17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
Outstanding. It's evident how passionate he is with his class and more importantly, his students. I've never had a teacher/professor care this deeply about his students and strive for growth in everyone of them. He provided the discipline to keep striving and the guidance to assure that everything will be ok. I absolutely feared public speaking. And did so terrible in the beginning... I still need some fine tuning but what I've accomplished is beyond what I imagined.
AWESOME instructor!
He facilitates a great classroom environment, he just needs to sharpen up his knowledge of Marketing 300 from a teacher to student prospective.
Mr. Keaunui is an amazing professor. This course has provided me more confidence than my speech course.
Knowledgeable and passionate
Knowledgeable professor with a solid marketing background. Communicates effectively as well.
Having three years of college experience, I have never met an instructor who was harder to please than Professor Keaunui, but i have also never met an instructor who cared so much for his students. Though his high expectations increased =my stress and anxiety through the roof, I always new his only concern was to better us as students and adults.
awesome
Overall great Instructor, wonderful class, and great content!
Professor Edward Keaunui was very superb in his teaching style and methods of teaching. He managed to deliver every detail and concepts of marketing in a more understandable way. He is very helpful and was always willing to help. I highly recommend this class to be taken by Professor Keaunui.
Professor Keaunui is rated an A+++++++ in my book.
Best Professor I've ever had, he takes the time and really invests in his students.
A good teacher.
A really great teacher that cares about his students. I appreciate that he would make us present with our group members even though it would be nerve-wrecking and intimidating.
He is a great professor, was very organized in setting up the course and really contributed to my education in a very positive way.
I would recommend this teacher to anyone! He's easy to get along with and is always willing to help you on his off class time.
Very knowledgeable and motivated. Professor Keaunui was easily approachable and helpful.
Mr Keaunui is a very exceptional instructor there is no way you could ever leave his class not learning anything.
He is a role model for the standards necessary for the real business world. He was easy to talk with and eloquent in his manner of handling student teacher relationships.
Excellent.
He is a very knowledgeable professor that was available to assist us during school time as well as his own time.
great teacher!
Really engaged with students and wants students to learn. Just too demanding with the workload required. He held us to the highest of standards which I like. I just wish it wasn't so much of a workload.
Great Professor!
Professor Keaunui is really knowledgeable about marketing and he cares for his students. He makes it a point that his students understand the concept of marketing. He's a nice guy, but don't let his kindness fool you, he challenges his students to think outside the box and become conceptual thinkers.

EXCELLENT!!!
Enjoyed class
My feelings were mixed. Though the content learned was valuable, being placed in a group of stragglers proved difficult. On a scale of 1 to 10, it would be a 4. Due to the final group project, I found myself not wanting to attend class, but felt obligated through honor to show up to help. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. There are a handful of other people who I've discussed with that stated that they want to be grouped up with other people.
A very high-demanding course that not only provided me with education in marketing, but also provided me with improved people skills, public speaking skills (which I very much needed), and responsibility.

Great Course!
A fun course.
One class that I know I'll benefit from for many years to come.
Great class to take, learned a lot about marketing and also over came over some of my greatest fear.
The course really taught me a lot about marketing concepts and being able to present well, which is very beneficial to me since I'm a marketing major.
Good introduction to marketing. After past experiences with a marketing class, I am able now to see the reality of it all and able to take it into my career.
The negative parts of the class for me was too much group work and I felt the one class day a week stopped me from learning as much as I could.
It was challenging, full of anxiety, but also full of reward.
Would definitely recommend this class to peers.
Excellent class that every business major should take.
it was a fun class.
Overall I enjoyed this class.
two thumbs up!!! very interactive class with other classmates.
I now know marketing in and out.
Great Class!
This course was well organized and fair. The assignments help with the understanding of the course as well as aiding in the project and midterm. The layout of the class created an inviting environment and made it easy for students to open up and lean together.

I hope he is with UH when I graduate:-)
He stresses the importance of copyright infringement and plagiarism. However, our final group presentation was supposed to be a project to apply everything we have learned in that class. A group of students did a 5 minute commercial (unrealistic, compared to 30 sec average commercial of corporations advertising through commercials) and the first part of their project was definitely copyrights of walking dead. This groups 30 mins of presentation was mostly an activity plus their 5 min commercial. There was barely any facts, if were unclear. I believe that he was entertained that is why he did not critique them, unlike the other groups. I feel that he would be very critical when asking questions when it is my groups turn to present, and he did not ask any questions for the two last groups that presented last Tuesday. He did not inform or remind all the students of copying other productions or artist work. Which reminds me of three students I know who cheated on an exam, and apparently no actions were taken. They still show up to my classes everyday. I thought UHWO takes plagiarism seriously and required to announce it on the first day of classes. I think that some students do not necessarily work hard because UHWO does not take plagiarism seriously.

I cannot stress it enough. Fore go the random groups for the final group project. Let the students decide. They'll stress less.

Mr. Keaunui you are doing a great job teaching this course. You are one of the few professors I have come across that cares about the students and their educations and I just want to say thank you! I would definitely recommend Professor Keaunui to all my friends, especially because he enjoys Vienna sausage:)

The course material provides in great detail, what you can expect to deal with when in a international business setting. Information was very revealing, and useful to know in future cases.
This course is very enlightening as far as international business and their cultures.
This course taught me a lot, especially for my future career
This course gave me a good understanding of how a manager should work with employees and those with multi cultural backgrounds.
This course has forced me to read my textbook weekly. Then summing up 5-6 weekly discussion posts; I had to put in a lot of time thinking about what to write and how to write them. Because of this, the concept stuck to my head better and I got to think about it more because I was trying to think of how to write my posts. It was a challenging course for me.
N/A (marketing concentration)
It was satisfactory.
It was very informative. We learned about managing businesses in other countries which is beneficial for anyone interested in opening or expanding companies.
Although I feel the course has helped me understand possible causes of breakdown in communication in a management/business setting, I felt the text only rarely covered how to effectively manage or perform certain tasks.
Time management was the most important. I was forced to learn about many things, but at times felt there was very little instructor input and teaching present.
This class helped me to understand about our global economy things that I never knew about and gave me an idea of what businesses go through to expand to other countries and why they do it.
This course allowed to me to understand the importance of culture and business.

It should be credited as a writing intensive course.
The discussion questions were time consuming and although it forced me to read the chapters and learn the material I don't think that it fostered discussions.
Unsure.
Keep the weekly questions and case studies, but for the discussion part probably limit the focus to one to two points to keep the discussion more relevant and hopefully better discussions can arise (this is where the professor's input can be applied). The final project seemed to be a bit sudden with no prior development for it as the semester progressed, also the overload at the end was overwhelming. large research paper, final essay exam, weekly questions, case study, another discussion, mini paper kind of condensed all at the end when all other final projects are due as well. The final test should be pushed back to probably the same week as finals, not the same time as the paper.
There is nothing that I think should be added to improve learning. There is a lot of work in this class that helps you to learn each subject.

I would suggest changing the amount of work due at the end of the semester. I feel like some of the work is devalued because of the amount that needs to be completed. I would take out the final weeks assignment but still have the final project and exam.
More original material coming from the instructor would be nice. An instructor who just teaches straight from the book by just assigning readings and discussions quoting straight from the book is no better than just reading the book on our own outside the class.
Professor Keaunui is an excellent teacher and his styles and methods helped me to retain knowledge that can be applied to my career.
I honestly have none, he did the best he could to conform to everyone's schedules.
I was very happy with professor keaunui's teaching style.

Online classes are sometimes difficult to justify as they seem to be self study courses and that there is only a course moderator instead of a professor like in a traditional classroom setting. More involvement is always appreciated from the prof.
I have no suggestions for improving the course. I think Mr. Keaunui is a great teacher for this class.

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
Professor Keaunui, although a rigorous course, designed and organized the class for students to gain a comprehension and understanding that aids in enhancing ones knowledge as it pertains to the course and major more specifically.
I learned so much during Economic Analysis and Market Audit because I had to do a lot of searching about the country that I would like to market product or services someday. Also reading the textbook helped me a lot to process weekly homework.
This course provides excellent information to understand what it takes to be an international marketer. Personally, it gives me an better advantage on how to handle various situations and to realize other cultural views and systems and how to negotiate an agreement. As a professional I intend to utilize these skills when making decisions.
It gave me a better understanding of how much culture can effect business and business transactions.
Time management
This course was taken as an elective, but I chose it because it falls under Business Administration, which too correlates to my major in Accounting.
This course enhanced my professional development for my concentration by extending my knowledge of American business and applying it to a broader range to international business.
It was not taken as a requirement.
This course taught me the general principles in regards to international marketing.
I am a business major and international marketing has helped a lot about different marketing strategies, negotiations towards different countries, and how such values and symbols are interpreted differently from other cultures or religions.

overall good course. however, could use power point slides summarizing key points of specific chapters.
Chat session for me is not necessary or even online discussion because I spent most of my time doing reading, posting and writing on country notebook. It was too much for me already and I thought three comment posting is enough but I must be at least two or more paragraph in each postings.
It may be interesting to witness or hear from a real international marketer and the trials and tribulations he or she has endured.
I don't think anything needs to be added.
N/A
There was a fair range of resources that was already included in this semester. I liked the different videos we had to watch and that helped covered what we were learning. The textbook had information that helped me learn about international business.
Group project. I am online and never get to interact with classmates. I will be working with other in marketing when I graduate so these group skills would be helpful.
I think this class was a bit challenging but rewarding for me because i've learned a lot, so there is nothing to improve in this class.

16. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
Less discussion questions especially since we also have to respond to 6 classmates and example of written paper to refer to, or even a rubric.
maybe study guides may be useful to future students.
I would suggest to reducing the amount of postings and require a number of sentences in every postings. Reduce chapters to discuss and focus more on most important chapters. Give more time to do final paper. Additional time of doing Essay test during midterm and Finals.
Sometimes hearing a professional marketer's rendition could be useful and effective to stress real-life situations. Learning of Professor Keaunui's new class for Spring 2014 might give him the opportunity to try, I'm very excited for him.
I have no suggestions.
For discussion posts, I feel that the amount of questions needed to be reduced. Towards the end of the semester, I felt rushed to just answer the questions and couldn't give it as much time to think about it as I did in the beginning. The use of YouTube videos was a great way for us to visually understand the concepts and to have a better understanding. Please provide more videos in your future classes.
Since this was an online course there were a lot of discussions on laulima. However, they were basically questions out of the book, which lead to basic book answers. It would be nice to have a couple of questions that really lead to a discussion about the subject, rather than, Hi___, I like your answer. Mr. Keaunui is great at these kinds of discussions in his classroom, I would like to have more of them online too.
Edward's teaching style and methods were clear and easy to follow. He made the course challenging and interesting.
-cover less chapters -remove requirement to use outside sources for exams -decrease peer responses for our discussion questions it is just too much assignments and too many hours spent on one single course. We do have other classes we must do work for.
Clearly define the comment due dates in an additional column in the assignments list. It will make make everything more clear.
Group work
I think that there was too much work in putting with the analysis which would be included in our paper. I'm not sure if it mattered to do it or not because I'm not the type of person who does many outlines for a paper.
17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
He's a cool teacher
very good. professor Keaunui made the course challenging but very insightful that heightened my knowledge on the topic with a greater level of understanding.
Professor Keaunui gave an excellent amount of homework and he was able to keep up commenting on Laulima postings. Students tend to get lazy when they don't see any comment from the instructor.
He has been very supportive to online instruction and has extended himself through the semester with a chat session. His response on discussions has taught me the importance of what each chapter focuses on and allowed an opportunity for the class to express their ideas which is very admirable. I am proud and confident to have chosen Professor Keaunui as an instructor for an international marketing course.
He is a great teacher and easy to talk to. I would definitely take another one of his classes.
Really there for you when you need him, great professor
He seems like a great professor when it comes to online. He responds back quickly via email.
Professor Keaunui is a great professor. I like his teaching style.
Edward is a great teacher and very helpful. The things he choose to discuss helped me learned about international business. I gained a great deal of knowledge from this course.
Excellent professor with real-world experience.
Excellent professor and person. Ive had him both live and online and I can work either way with him. He is readily available and makes time for his students. Hes a great benefit for UHWO
Prof Keaunui is a lenient teacher. Although the class was challenging, it was definitely rewarding.

20. My overall evaluation of this course is...
rigorous but necessary for comprehension and application.
It is an excellent tool for learning international marketing especially for people who would like to market products or services in their future.
With trade expanding globally today, I felt an international marketing course was crucial to learn. Understanding differences in cultures, languages, customs, laws, regulations, to name a few, has to be handled accordingly and taking this course from a Hawaiian made me feel more comfortable to engage in this course. A great deal to negotiating agreements in Oceania has to be handled in a special way other than how trade is dealt with in a country on a continent. I hope to practice what I have learned in this course during my business transactions.
I would recommend this class to future students.
Great course Edward was very helpful
It was quite challenging considering that discussion posts were due quickly every week. The marketing plan outline somewhat helped me but it was a lot of work given 1 point each and it took me hours to complete one outline out of four.
I learned a lot. However, there was an excessive amount of work per week.
This course was a little challenging but still very interesting. I enjoyed learning about different approaches when working with an international business.
I maybe just complaining, but this course had too much assignments. The workload was that of a summer course, two chapters a week, six discussion responses, and sometimes more. Cover too many chapters will make most students not pay attention to the content of the chapters, but basically try to get the work done. I believe that it would have been more effective with one chapter a week, so that we can concentrate on a single concept. Exam is unfair, because we had to use outside sources. I understand that 24 hours was given to do the exam, but there was no real way to prepare for the exam. I know what the professor said that we should have been more prepared, but how can we prepare outside sources for questions that we don't even know will be asked during the exam. It is very difficult to look for a source that backup your answer than if it were the opposite. Most hours of the exam was spent searching the Internet to look for a source that maybe used for the exam.
It's a good course and much of the material is reemphasized from previous BUSA courses.
A+
I've learned a lot in this course.
21. Other comments:
Please take into consideration that some of us are working students, who come from a long work day and spending 5 hours plus to do your assignments can be an intense. Along with the exam, it took me almost a whole work day of 8 hours to complete with having to find other sources on top of the book resource.
I would like to thank Professor Keaunui for taking the time to teach us International marketing. Just knowing that he is there and ready to comment and give advice makes the world a better place. Thank you for his patience and dedication to make it happened.
An important factor that affects my beliefs is how certain situations are decided when doing business internationally. What I have noticed is that what may work in one country may not work in another. Hawaii is a very unique place that has been labeled what others see as a necessary economically progress. On the other hand, what is neglected to be recognized is the history of Hawaii and how it was able to be sustained way before European discovery for a long time. What works in the mainland will not work in Hawaii until what is wrong is made right.
Merry Christmas & Have a Happy New Year!
Last week of lecture: 12/4: Watch video and respond to six other student's comments 12/5: Country research paper : Final Exam ch.10-19 12/6: Final 3,000 word paper This is just far too much work in one single week. I would not recommend this course, unless student is taking no other courses.
Look forward to taking more classes with Prof Keanui.
Keep up the good work Professor!

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
This class taught me marketing skills and performing speeches.
It showed that I can sell anything
significant
Simply great hands on experience, great setting, great practice.
I'm sure my major/career goals require me to work well with others. The amount of group work in this class exercised my communication and team work skills.
I felt I definitely gained quality experience in working with people and dealing with deadlines. By the end of the course I felt the biggest thing I was able to walk away with was the focus to details and digging deeper into the information. Also, I believe my public speaking skills improved.
It helped my professional development because all we did was present present present. So I guess it made me a little more comfortable to talk infront of people, when the time comes.
It taught me how to write and think as detailed as possible.
Before this class, I didn't think marketing was relevant to my major or career path, but after this class I realize that marketing is relevant to everyone. It is important to know how to conduct yourself and present your ideas in any setting, and I have improved my ability to do so because of this class.
This course provided me a further understanding of the elements and thought process involved in starting up a business and marketing it effectively to consumers. Professor Keaunui made class fun and highly interactive with all the students. This provided a more hands on approach to the learning process of this course and allowed us to implement various key elements we learned from the course textbook.
It allows you the experience in how to conduct ones presentation skills.
It made me more comfortable speaking publicly.
This course helped me with presentation skills and becoming a more persuasive person.
Course presented content in an interesting and engaging way.
This course is a core course for my major, it helped me understand the concepts of marketing, and how important marketing is to a business. Also, helped my public speaking skills!
This course opened my eyes to the world of marketing. Prior to this course, I thought marketing was the easy way through a business degree, but that is the very opposite. This course illustrated how diverse of a field marketing can be. Essentially, It encompasses just about every discipline in business from accounting such as budgets to psychology throught market segmentation and so forth.
I feel more confident when it comes to public speaking thanks to this class. This class was very interactive and the people were very accomodating and laid back. Everything had purpose and meaning. This class taught me a lot of skills in regards to the marketing world.
i have enhanced my skill to speak in public
It helped me get a better understanding of how to market a product and understand the reasoning behind it.
This course enhanced my presentation skills and provided the ability for learning though research and practical application.
This course help me realize that there is more to marketing than advertisement. We need to know all these aspect to make a marketing plan be successful.
I learned what it takes to start up and run a successful business. Also how to market to specific target markets and how to see a business as a whole. I also learned that it is important to be confident in your product that you are selling.
This course helped to enhance communication skills and cooperative group work by assigning activities that lead to presentations in a hypothetical setting. The class was very interactive and allowed me to work with many different people.
It has definitely improved my presentation and speaking skills.

5. Please comment on the activities or resources that could be added to this course to improve your learning.
Nothing it worked for me
superb
This class was complete. Nothing needed for improvement. Organized and Fun. They're are a million fun activities.
I would have liked more evaluation and feedback after each presentation. I felt after presenting every week, I would not know how to improve or what I could have dine better.
I did like the utilization of the online resources and presentation aids (PowerPoint) as well as email communications.
Maybe a little instruction from our professor. It is sort of a self learning class, but I feel like if I wanted that I would've taken the class online.
Having fewer students in the class would allow the Prof to focus more.
More time spent on the explanation of marketing concepts.
The final project of this course was the overall highlight. The final project incorporated both technical and creative aspects of this course. Although I personally despise public speaking, along with the help of Professor Keaunui and my peers I was able to improve on my public speaking skills and help my fellow group members put on an awesome presentation. With the mini presentations that were conducted throughout the week, I would suggest a little more in class time for preparation for the presentations. Or perhaps, combining 3-4 chapters together thus allowing more preparation and research time for the presentations or notifying students ahead time who is in which group and the subject they are to cover.
To be able to work on the final project since the beginning was a good way to understand the workings of creating a presentation.
More homework.

None, everything was provided
At first, I was hoping to have less group work and more lectures, but in retrospect the activities given worked better than any lecture could.
Less presentations.
we did presentations every week with different group memebers
N/A
No activities could be added to this course to improve my learning.
Maybe some short quizzes at the end of the chapters.
A remote/clicker that can be used to direct Powerpoint presentations shown on the projector, which is an integral part of the class's weekly class work. Other classrooms such as D250 are equipped with this remote.
The weekly oral group presentations and online discussion questions provided by Mr. Keaunui are more than sufficient to learn the required material for this marketing course.
6. Please comment on if the instructional approach or approaches to this class helped your learning, and if not, why not?
The instructional approach was geared more toward speeches. Students would form into groups and then come up with a speech. It helped to work together and learn the material related to our speeches.
I'm good, but my OCD would let me leave this blank
superb
Having presentations every week ensured reading of the chapters and working diligently.
I loved the group work. I felt it brought the class closer which made it easier to make friends and study groups for the exam.
I liked the focus on presentation rather than book related focus, also the week to week relation was interesting as well the only thing is I think the chapter assignments should cover the material we will work on that week rather than after presentations.
There was no instructional approach. Well except for the constructive criticism after our presentations, and I liked that a lot.
It definately improved my ability to present in front of an audience.
This course was highly interactive with everyone in the class. This took a hands-on approach to learning and allowed for better comprehension of marketing elements. This course allowed me to not only learn key marketing elements and understand them but to also apply them.
It was good.
It did. The curriculum was hands on and made it easier for me to focus and follow.
It helped because the teacher helped us to learn through a unique technique of teaching.
Helped learning and kept information interesting
Helped my learning because he was very understanding that everyone isn't great at public speaking. Tired to make everyone feel comfortable. And he explained what he wanted clearly.
In the beginning, I was disturbed by the approach taken by Mr. Keaunui, but looking back at the course I understand why he took such an approach. I subconsciously learned the concepts through real world application by actually preparing a marketing plan and presenting it amongst my peers.
The instructional approach was lacking when it comes to discussing the chapters in class. But it was a different approach because the instructor pushed us to read the chapters and be able to apply it and present them in class.
he helped us see companies from a different point of view
It helped because we actually were the ones presenting each chapter and its better to understand it from your peers than that of the professor.
Students conducted most of the teaching by preparing presentations over each chapter of the required text.
Yes the instructional approach helped me in learning because he taught me how to think outside the box and to analyze situations in the marketing economy.
The instructor offered tips and suggestions on how to approach a project, while allowing flexibility on how it is implemented.
Professor Keaunui's teaching approach requiring weekly oral group presentations and online discussion questions, allow his students to retain the information learned not only thru textbook reading but also hands-on thru the weekly presentations. Professor Keaunui provides constructive criticism motivating his students to better themselves in their presentations in each coming week.

13. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
Group work. Working with teams to come up with speeches every week.
Being me and "BACON"
all
Hands on type experience. Mock presentations were extremely valuable.
Learning from other presentations. Observing and evaluating other groups to improve our own.
-group communication -time management -detail orientation
Learning how to QUICKLY come up with a presentation.
The presentations forced us to understand the material because we were using it in simulated real life situations.
Learning how to present in front of colleagues.
The group presentations were the most valuable. This made me want to go to class and willingly participate in group discussions and projects. I did not want to let my group down. I wanted to ensure that I was doing my part and helping out my group members as much as possible, especially with the final project assignment.
Team work and cooperation.
Public speaking was common place and it helped me grow in my speaking abilities and confidence.
Powerpoint.
Marketing plan
I think that the group presentations leading up to the final were most valuable.
The group setting was the most valuable. In the real world marketing is all about speaking and meeting the needs of others in the work field. The group work got me comfortable for public speaking. It instilled confidence in me over time.
Talking in front of people.
group presentations and discussion questions.
i feel that interacting with one another was most valuable because it helped us to present at a better comfort level
The scenario presentations
Learning how to present in accordance with marketing.
The ability to work on a team and to work under a tight schedule to get a assignment done was most valuable.
Having to do presentation as different companies and also working and learning with other students.
By having weekly mini-presentations, it allowed us to prepare for the final presentation by working on aspects of how we present. This build-up leading to the final presentation allowed us to adapt and refine our presentation methods.
Although this course doesn't count towards oral credit, I truly believe the weekly group presentations were the most valuable aspect of the course. It's easy to read a chapter and answer questions. It's also easy to "data dump" (or forget), if you're just reading to complete a homework assignment or upcoming exam. However, reading a chapter and applying the concepts learned thru a group presentation is what allows me to retain the information.

more feedback after presentations. Give students a better idea of how much time is needed outside of class hours.
With the next group being once a week only I suggest the chapter materials being covered for the week be assigned I the discussion questions before the presentation assignments. I don't know how you plan to work in the weekly presentations either, but maybe present in the first half and get with groups at the end? Good luck with the two sessions next term.
I understand where he was coming from with the "putting the terms into action" by making us present what we learned. BUT 1 day? That's not enough. Especially for those that despise presenting in front of people. We joined marketing not because we want to be a marketing major, but because it is required for accounting or finance majors. Which is sticking our heads into the books.
Homework should be assigned prior to the weekly group presentations so we can better utilize the time in class set aside for group discussions. More often than not, we spend the class time figuring out the chapter and not focusing on our ideas.
More time lecturing on marketing concepts could make presenting easier.
Go over material in class before assigning presentation for that chapter
I love Professor Keaunui's teaching and style and methods. He really cares about his students and their success within his class as well as outside of class. He has a knack for pairing students up in groups. In my final project group we all seemed to complement each other very well and worked well together. This made class more enjoyable and fun to attend.
Excellent course! Please teach a management course.
I believe that doing more homework out of the book would help some students with learning the material.
Maybe less presentations, or more time to work on presentations.
As I stated earlier, I was expecting more lectures and much less group work, but in retrospect the way we were taught was the best means of learning such a field. Knowing the answers and material is much different than actually putting them into action. I feel as though I am able to manage a marketing department at this point.
less presentations.
i think that we should have a little bit more time to prepare for our presentations
Can not think of any.
Class is beneficial for marketing majors as it is set up to teach students how to market products effectively through presentations.
Shouldn't have weekly presentations.
None.
Since this is my first marketing course, I don't have a similar course to compare Professor Keaunui's teaching styles and methods. Therefore, Professor Keaunui should continue his current teaching style and methods.
27. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
He is a good teacher and is willing to help students.
Teaching style works and made a possible boring class very fun
superb
A very very unique one of a kind teacher. Enjoying class is somewhat of an oxymoron going together but i genuinely enjoyed this class. Best college class taken so far.
Awesome teacher. Goes above and beyond to make sure he's available outside of class. Is understanding and considerate towards his students. Gives just the right amount of work to challenge you, and gives positive reinforcement. He makes the class enjoyable but needs to give consistent, constructive feedback.
Overall a lot of work, but I had a lot of fun and was engaged throughout the duration of the semester.
Professor Keaunui is awesome! and he takes our personal struggles into consideration, which is a great thing too. BUT he expects us to all be comfortable with speaking in front of people...every week. Give us some time to breath please.
He is a very passionate instructor who has good intentions.
Very comfortable and easy to talk to. He is a rogressive educator and I'm glad I took his class.
energetic and helpful. Very educational and entertaining class
Professor Keaunui is an excellent instructor. I would recommend his class to all students. He kept me interested in the course and made me want to be sure to attend class and participate with our group discussions and presentations. Professor Keaunui is straight forward and if you are willing to work hard and challenge yourself he is going to be sure to help you every step of the way.
a good professor that easily demonstrates his craft.
Awesome instructor! Look forward to hopefully seeing Professor Keaunui in a management course!
Great teacher. Enthusiastic & interesting.
Great teacher
Excellent, he was easy to talk to and understood the needs of each student.
His style is far from conventional, but quite necessary. After I actually accepted and opened up to the approach he took I learned a grat deal of concepts that I am to take with me and apply to my field of work.
excellent
a very good teacher i would recommend any student to take his class
Excellent
Willing to help students aside from just in class. Would show up to class early in order to help students set up for their presentations. A critique would be that there was not a lot of time given for preparation of projects which meant that each week a lot of work was dedicated to organizing, researching and preparing group presentations.
He cool and understanding. He is willing to help if you ask for it.
I think he is a great instructor and I am really glad that I had the chance to take his class. He is patient and he really cares about our success. He is always available and goes the extra mile for us.
Easy to talk to, firm in his decisions but at the same time, allowing room for flexibility depending on the case. Well-articulate, and helpful, especially with offering to help on his own time to meet up with groups in preparation for the final presentation.
Professor Keaunui provides a learning atmosphere that motivates his students to excel each and every week. He was always available to answer a question, even minutes before a group presentation. His willingness to meet groups outside of campus and office hours is what sets him apart from other professors. He truly cares for the academic success of his students. I also appreciate how he allows his students to let their creativity flow. He provides more than enough resources to have his students succeed (i.e. critiques from previous students who attended his class, constructive criticism, referencing real-life situations/companies so the topic is relevant, providing acknowledgement for job well done... the list goes on)

Overall this course was a different way of learning the material. It was a good experience and I learned a lot.
Like it but the text book was a bit on the wordy side
superb
A+
Fun but more time consuming than I thought. It met my expectations learning wise. Challenged me, but did not kill me:)
Two thumbs up even though I was always cramming and practicing right before class.
Love the teacher but dont exactly agree with the way he teaches.
Great instructor and course
On a whole, very good for sophomore college students, not suitable to the individual who is unable or do not want to commit the time.
It was very different and forced me to go outside of my comfort zone, allowing me to develop skills that I didn't realize I had.
entertaining and worth the late nights.
Excellent course and an even better instructor. Professor Keaunui is the best instructor that I have had so far at West Oahu. He made me want to come class early just to hang out with my group members, he made the learning process educational and fun.
Out of 10 a 9.5
Very informative!
My favorite class!
Great class
Excellent, learned from the book, teacher, and classmates!
It was tough. I spent hours upon end with my marketing group. Like I said earlier, It was not until I gave his teaching style a chance that I began to really benefit from the course. As I look back, I am thankful for this course and the concepts Mr. Keaunui taught me.
above average
very fun. if i could do it all over again, i would
Great class for the understanding of Marketing.
Great course for marketing majors. Overall, most of my time was devoted to this class because of all the presentations we had to prepare for. The fact that the students taught each chapter forced us to learn the material. The class was very effective in the sense that we had to learn the material in order to present it correctly to fellow classmates.
Good.
I think the course is designed well. It covered everything we needed to know and it was easy to understand.
Very interactive, very social, and contained a lot of material to work on in a small amount of time. This was a fun class.
Although I consider this course to be the most time-consuming, I do look forward to coming to class each and everyday. I think this is the first course that I've actually attended all classes without skipping (except for the one family emergency). I remember being excited and laughing each class session because group presentations were entertaining. It allowed our personalities and strengths to be displayed. I'm glad this course was my first course taken at UHWO. It has definitely eased my mind in knowing UHWO was the right college selection for me :)

super crowded classroom. If there were less people, maybe we would have more time for constructive feedback. I understand it is a popular class.

Should Professor Keaunui offer to teach any other courses I would definitely register for them. He is an awesome instructor, who cares a great deal about this course as well as his students.

I hope that Mr. Keaunui will teach other Business classes so that I will get the chance to be in his class again.
Thank you Professor Keaunui for your time and dedication invested to your students. You've made this semester challenging and entertaining. Thank you for not taking a traditional route in teaching - textbook and Q&A only. The weekly group presentations not only allowed me to retain the information but also improved my presentation and speaking skills. Your class provided a sense of business reality. It required time management skills; how to work in groups (similar to a business setting), and gave us the pressure, and, at times anxiety, that our careers will probably give us in the future. You're an excellent professor and any student is fortunate to be sitting in your class under your instruction. Mahalo!

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
Mr. Keanui has helped me understand marketing more proficiently.
This course helped me understand marketing concepts. I have gained more knowledge and skills that I can now use.
This course helped me interpret what was learned in the text through individual and group presentations in class.
This course taught me the importance of Marketing and Marketing techniques in the business world.
Helped me understand, how marketing worked and how it would help in the business world.
This course allows me to use what I learned in the classroom and implement them in real life experiences. For example, doing weekly activities has made me more comfortable in presenting in front of people.
This course was taken to fulfill course requirements for my major. This course helped enhance my personal and professional development by making me able to control my fear of public speaking. I am not a creative person but this class made me have to be creative because of the presentations we did in this course and for the first time I was not afraid to share my ideas with others within a group that I was assigned too. I feel that this course has made me feel more confident.
My major is general business administration and for this marketing class we had to do oral presentations almost every time we had class and this enhances me personally and professionally in my field of study.
interactive class! great for associating with other students
This was a fun and lively course to take. It also was a great way to fully understand the concepts of the course.
The class discussions and weekly presentations definitely helped me become a better presenter.
I liked how the class was taught in more of a real world situation instead of just reading the textbook.
This was my first year as a Marketing major, and Prof. Keaunui's gave me an incredibly solid foundation that I can build my subsequent classes and degree on.
It gave me a new perspective on the Marketing industry and furthered my interest in the field.
It did help somewhat. I am a finance major and I am not really sure why I needed to take a marketing class. I did learn business skills that I can use in the "real world".
I learned a lot about marketing thanks to Dr. Edward Keaunui.
It helped me understand marketing concepts.
I like the fact that we do presentation as a class activity every week. It is a good way to give us practice and learn how to do marketing presentations in real life.
This course taught me the many terms that I will have to be familiar with in my career. The language, form and techniques of marketing that I learned in this class is essential for my success and am very grateful to Professor Keaunui for teaching them to me.

none.
At the beginning of the semester assignments were due on Thursdays. About midway, the assignments were due on Sundays. I liked turning my assignments on Sunday because it gave me the chance to complete it without rushing. I also liked doing the activities in class. It was very helpful.
I thought the activities where excellent for learning in the course.
Put up some power point slides to highlight the chapters.
Very fun, but learned a lot.
Although it was fun having weekly activities to cover concepts, sometimes having lectures might be good for a full understanding.
The only thing that I would suggest is that before a project is to be created and presented that just for a few minutes review chapter or chapters related to the presentation. The times that we did do it in class help me to better understand what was expected for the presentation.
I enjoyed this class; It help me improve my fear of going in front of people and talking and doing presentations.

Honestly, I am satisfied with the work load and structure of this course.
Just a little more feedback on assignments.
I really enjoyed the level of student participation that was required in order to take advantage of what this class had to offer. I wouldn't have changed anything about my experience.
I like lectures even if their only for 15 min.
A few field trips to some marketing departments.
course was outstanding and doesn't need any improvements. any changes would be detrimental.
Professor Keaunui actually did a really great job at making the class very interactive. Not only were we assigned a group whom we were with for the final project, but every week we were put into groups to present with new classmates. I don't believe he could have done anything better because I felt that the course was really well thought out.

16. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
None
There isn't anything to improve on. Edward Keaunui's teaching style and methods were clear and helpful when learning the materials.
One observation I would like to input on pertains to the final project. Have the group due the a presentation in the middle of the course and then again for the final presentation.
Less mini projects, more focus on final project.

Please allow more time for doing weekly activities.
I have no suggestions for improving Mr. Keaunui's teaching style and methods because his teaching style and methods are excellent.
It;s perfect. no need to change anything

In regards to the final project presentation groups that are preassigned, I would have to suggest that each group have a good ratio of members with specific skill sets.
I thoroughly enjoyed this class and I feel like I learned quite a bit; I have no suggestions that could improve upon Pro. Keaunui's style or methods of teaching.
There were too many presentations and not enough lecture time. I felt that a presentation every week was excessive.
no suggestions
None, everything was great!
People have different ways of learning, but in the case of this particular course, I enjoyed very much having to present marketing scenarios on a weekly basis. Maybe some students would have been more comfortable with a lecture type of setting, but that would no have been a productive way to learn the core principles of marketing. So essentially, we learned how to work with many types of personalities, which taught us how to work under pressure and succeed. Thus, I cannot think of any other way this course could have been improved because I was quite impressed with the variety of methods he used to teach.
17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
Loved this course, hoping Edward Keanui is able to teach more classes, one of the best teachers i have ever encountered with.
He's a very informative teacher and very knowledgeable in the subject. If he were to teach other courses, I would definitely take those courses.
Excellent format, the class was always engaged in presentations.
Mr. Keaunui is an excellent teacher. He finds ways to teach the students outside of the box so that their learning experience is enjoyable and memorable.
He is a very good professor and i would recommend him to everyone.
Excellent. Not only was class enjoyable, but we also learned about marketing concept while doing fun activities.
He is a great teacher. From the very first day of class I felt comfortable being in his class. I thought I was going to struggle in this course but I think I did pretty good and it is because of the way he taught the subject. He takes interest in his students and he wants us to do our best. When we do presentations his constructive criticisms are very helpful and you always know that he does that to make us better and know what we should work on. He even took the time out on the weekend to meet with my group for about two hours to work with us on our final project and never rushed to leave he waited until we were ready to leave. He is the best teacher I ever had so far through all the years I have been attending college.
He know's what he's talking about and he makes it fun to learn and at the same time challenging.
great professor! very interactive class and i enjoyed the interaction with other students! you definitely get to know your group members at the end of the semester.
he is a very good teacher
Professor Keaunui is a great professor, and would take him again if he were to instruct another business course or like speech.
Professor Edward Keaunui is a very enthusiastic instructor and definitely has a genuine passion for his students to do well in the course.
great teacher
Prof. Keaunui was an excellent teacher and taught a very well-rounded, engaging marketing course. It's very obvious that he loves what he does and his enthusiasm is infectious. If anyone else who took this course doesn't feel the same way, they have no business in the field of marketing.
A grade A professor! Very engaging and his class is very hand on which keeps things interesting. Highly recommended.
Very effective teacher, especially for gaining personal presentation skills. This class helped me a lot with presenting in front of a group of people.
Very good teacher. Very knowledgable and makes the class fun.
outstanding. I hope to attend another course with this instructor.
Mr. Keaunui is a great instructor! His teaching methods are different from most but they work well. Instead of lecturing, he provides projects that making learning the material easier than hearing a lecture on the subject would. He has a great attitude and treats his students well. Mr. Keaunui could teach a few other instructors I've had a thing or two on how to successfully teach a class.
He is good and knows his subject.
I like the way Professor Keaunui made himself available to us outside normal working hours to help us with our group project.
After completion of the course, I could very well tell that Professor Keaunui put a lot of time and effort into making our time with him as productive as possible, and I felt his methods were effective in reaching his goal. He made the class interesting and encouraged everyone to be on time and not skip class and he lead by example. I will recommend his course to everyone I know whether they are a business major or not. The skills he taught were absolutely significant to any career.

Loved this course
This course was very interesting. I learned many terms and skills for this field.
Great course to practice what you learn in a real life setting.
Great course to build the foundation of business.
Very fun.
This course with Professor Keaunui was very enjoyable. He made me look forward to coming to class.
This course was fun. I learned a lot about marketing.

great class! enjoyed getting to know professor and other students. the difference with this class and others is that you work closely with other students and get to know them, rather than just another face in the crowd.
The course was awesome with Professor Keaunui.
I definitely enjoyed this course because of the hands-on learning experience through the group presentations. Overall, great teaching style compared to the lecture-only courses most professors teach.
great class
This course was a great way to begin my education in Marketing and I would recommend it to anyone who showed an interest in taking a marketing course.
The course is great very helpful to those who are interested in marketing or even business as a whole.
I really enjoyed this class.
Very good course. I do not see why certain concentrations would need this course if they are not pursuing a marketing degree.

I think students that take this course with Mr. Keaunui will enjoy it. It's not a boring class and there is a lot of interaction with all your class mates and even with the teacher so you become comfortable enough were you can be yourself and enjoy and want to attend class.

Thank you for a great semester! I will give you good ratings on RateMyProfessor.com!
It's a shame Prof. Keaunui isn't available to teach other Marketing (or public speaking) classes. He is a marvelous educator.
I would like to suggest that Professor Keaunui be given the opportunity to teach a Speech class. I felt that the techniques and methods he used to teach us about the core principles of marketing were comparable to that of the lessons one learns in a speech class. Therefore, I felt (along with many of my classmates) felt that he should be teaching a Speech class in addition to this one. I think many students would benefit from his lessons and am confident that he would be perfect for the position.

2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
good information
I learned a lot, but I invested a lot of energy in this course
No. This course should have been given as an online course since the class was tasked with presenting for the entire semester.
This course helped me to understand the accounting aspect of marketing its one thing to have a great product but there is other aspect when it comes to marketing it like the budgeting and what best way to spend it. also its important to utilize the the tools you have in order to save money and spend it else where. Marketing helps you to better understand your resources and how best to use them.
I learned how to market products.
It provided me with different marketing methods that I had not thought of before and showed how in depth marketing is.
More aware of the marketing process and a better understanding of the inner workings of businesses.
I learned a lot more behind marketing which helps me interact with our marketing department at work and I understand how it helps out sales and business.
It taught me the basics about marketing. Also it put me in a position where I knew how it felt to be responsible for something as large of a magnitude as advertisements. Thinking about the script, the length, the depth of what you present.
helped me to understand marketing better
It helped me to speak infront of people and gain knowledge on the marketing side of business
It helped develop my presentation and people skills for working in groups.

more lectures needed by you.
This course would be best administered as an online course.
i think it great to incorporate public speaking into the class because many people have problems with it. the idea of having groups teach the class is good but not for the entire semester. with students teaching students not much is learned i for one was not comfortable teaching something i didnt fully understand myself. Mr. Keaunui should have had groups teach one day out of the week and he do a recap the next day that way students feel they are learning and understand the correct material.
I wish he would teach the class instead of us having to teach ourselves.
Quizzes to show if students are up to date on assignments.
I liked the oral presentations, maybe more structure on what should be reported in each presentation but I like the flexiability it allowed for creativity which made it fun and interesting.
I think it was great. the reflection questions on the chapters did well to make you think more critically about what was being learned.
more actual study of terms
We had five presentations thoughout the semester and discussion questions every week.

7. Please comment on if the instructional approach or approaches to this class helped your learning, and if not, why not?
you learn by yourself while the professor judges/evaluates.
The instructional methods employed by the instructor were very displeasing. A lot of pressure was put upon the individual student and I don't feel a comfortable environment for learning was not factored in by the professor's approach
I think having our classmates present each chapter every class period helps a little because they made it easier for us to understand the book by putting the definition of each chapters in their own words.
Having the students present each learning objective for each chapter is not what I paid for when I enrolled into this course. How can a student learn anything from another student who's trying to learn the material as well?
with his approach i dont feel i fully learned the material, students teaching student i didnt feel was helpful. some times it was helpful it the group teaching make a strong effort to convey the material. many times groups were just presenting to present and werent covering all the information. he should of had the groups teach only one day of the week and he do a recap the next day, that i feel would have been more effective.
I would have preferred more lecturing by the teacher. If not, an Oral Communication designation would have been appropriate since we were essentially teaching the material to ourselves.
Presentation did help out on the marketing aspect of class.
The approach he used was team collaboration and team work. It works directly with my field of study which is business because you have to be able to work with various parties of people on several different projects.
I would have liked it better if the instructor went over the chapters instead of just having us read it. I do understand that us presenting was leading up to our final project, however there were some things in the book that I was still fuzzy on even after reading.
it helped in that we applied the basics of marketing, but we should focus more on the terms in class.
8. Please comment on how the resources (textbooks, other reading materials, visual resources (powerpoints), etc.) used in the course helped your learning.
a little.
the resources we used in class were really helpful especially our textbook because it made us understand our lectures easier.
The textbook was helpful
the textbook was very important being that we had to read the chapter to teach the class without it i wouldnt have been able to do the assignment.
The textbook was a great reference point for gathering information. It wa really easy to understand.
The textbook was the only resource that was used. I could have learned the same amount just by reading the book and not going to class.
Full use of textbook, a lot of information was covered.
Presentations of the chapters made it more intersting and collaborative dicussions helped with different view points and added learning.

20. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
be more organized be more of a teacher like.
Show patience with the class. Acknowledge (personally) that all students may not be the best students that can possibly be encountered. Acknowledge that all students are not created equal and that a student may not be able to be molded into the ideal student within the time frame of a semester.
it would be helpful for students if he elaborates more on the important chapters rather than having his students explain it in the class because sometimes students cant really explain what the chapter is about.
Actually lecture or use powerpoint presentations rather than make the students teach the course.
he could improve his teachings by teaching one day a week. like i said it was good to have groups teach a chapter but not for all the chapters. it would have been better if he had one group teach for the week and he do a recap the next meeting day. that way as students we feel were learning the correct material
He kind of had an attitude in the beginning which most of us didn't like it wasn't professional. Needs to be nicer.
I think he could of lectured just a bit more on class days instead of leaving for our weekly class presentations done by students
Actually teach rather than making students present the material.
Scrap the final presentation and instead use multiple presentations or smaller scale projects. Also, include the use of quizzes instead of chapter presentations for easier tracking of class progress.
none I liked this course and the way it was presented
only suggestion was said in question 7
don't let us teach ourselves...I could have taken the class online
Lecture instead of the class teaching the class. Many students have taken lower division marketing class that is similar if not the exact materials learned. Marketing should bring a uniqueness to those in the marketing field of study.
more focus on book work
He should add in his sylambus that the students are teaching the class. Meaning, presenting to class assign chapters to present because in the beggining we were only getting a week in advance knowing we were presenting. Later we knew in advance when we were presenting which was helpful.
21. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
be more active
more fun presentation (games)
only have groups teach one day a week and Mr. Keaunui the next day. have a clearer understanding of the group project be clear on what is expected and whats needed.
Should teach the course instead of students. I learn from watching a powerpoint and taking notes it's hard from just learning from other students because they're not great at teaching.
Curriculum development.
Scrap the final presentation and instead use multiple presentations or smaller scale projects.

lecture more
visual aids
more videos and bookwork
He should do lectures i in between groups presenting. My favorite presntation was our final project. That was fun to do.
22. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
it was ok
he was a fun professor! :)
Has knowledge but failed in teaching the students
my overall evaluation of Mr. Keaunui is that hes a good person very understanding and looking out for his students i just wished he would have given more of the lectures that way i would have felt better about what i was learning.
Fair and understanding professor
Good instructor and having the students present chapter material gave each student important practice for their final project. Having the students work together on a group project also will benefit most of the students in their future endeavors.
He cares about his students and I have no doubt in his teaching abilities. He just needs to work on actually developing materials to teach. The problem is more in the design of the course than in the instructor.
Good professor, very helpful and available to anyone who needs help. Flexible with the schedules and always keeps everyone updated on information.
Great class, promotes creativity and learning through team work. Perfect experience for the work world.
He's a good teacher, just had a different teaching style then I was used to. Usually I'm listening to teachers and learning from what they say. this guy put us on the spot and told us to do our research on how to improve. Not my favorate thing, but definitely effective.
Although a great person to understand. We are his students and not his friends, therefore, he should have taken charge this term and actually teach the students.
great teacher
He is he is a very understanding professor. He has a lot of knowledge and I wish he did more lectures instead of us students presenting all chapters. But presenting was great and also good practice.

25. My overall evaluation of this course is...
ok
Actually quite bad. Would not recommend this instructor to anyone.
Below average course that should have been given as an online course
this course is a good one filled with lots of information and is relative to the real world and i feel is very helpful when taught accordingly.
This course receives an A in my grade book.
I would have rather stayed home and read the book.
Good class. A lot of material to cover, but it is alright.
Great! I will recommend to others
It was good. different, but overall very enlightening.
Why did I have to take this class, when I taken a lower division marketing class that is the same at an upper level.
great class for marketing students
