This course helped me understand marketing concepts. I have gained more knowledge and skills that I can now use.

I like the fact that we do presentation as a class activity every week. It is a good way to give us practice and learn how to do marketing presentations in real life.

The class discussions and weekly presentations definitely helped me become a better presenter.

This course was taken to fulfill course requirements for my major. This course helped enhance my personal and professional development by making me able to control my fear of public speaking. I am not a creative person but this class made me have to be creative because of the presentations we did in this course and for the first time I was not afraid to share my ideas with others within a group that I was assigned too. I feel that this course has made me feel more confident.

It gave me a new perspective on the Marketing industry and furthered my interest in the field.

My major is general business administration and for this marketing class we had to do oral presentations almost every time we had class and this enhances me personally and professionally in my field of study.

I liked how the class was taught in more of a real world situation instead of just reading the textbook.

It did help somewhat. I am a finance major and I am not really sure why I needed to take a marketing class. I did learn business skills that I can use in the "real world".

This course helped me interpret what was learned in the text through individual and group presentations in class.

I learned a lot about marketing thanks to Dr. Edward Keaunui.

This course allows me to use what I learned in the classroom and implement them in real life experiences. For example, doing weekly activities has made me more comfortable in presenting in front of people.

This was my first year as a Marketing major, and Prof. Keaunui's gave me an incredibly solid foundation that I can build my subsequent classes and degree on.

This course taught me the many terms that I will have to be familiar with in my career. The language, form and techniques of marketing that I learned in this class is essential for my success and am very grateful to Professor Keaunui for teaching them to me.

5. Please comment on the activities or resources that could be added to this course to improve your learning.

At the beginning of the semester assignments were due on Thursdays. About midway, the assignments were due on Sundays. I liked turning my assignments on Sunday because it gave me the chance to complete it without rushing. I also liked doing the activities in class. It was very helpful.

Honestly, I am satisfied with the work load and structure of this course.

The only thing that I would suggest is that before a project is to be created and presented that just for a few minutes review chapter or chapters related to the presentation. The times that we did do it in class help me to better understand what was expected for the presentation.

I like lectures even if their only for 15 min.

I enjoyed this class; It help me improve my fear of going in front of people and talking and doing presentations.

Put up some power point slides to highlight the chapters.

Although it was fun having weekly activities to cover concepts, sometimes having lectures might be good for a full understanding.

I really enjoyed the level of student participation that was required in order to take advantage of what this class had to offer. I wouldn't have changed anything about my experience.

Professor Keaunui actually did a really great job at making the class very interactive. Not only were we assigned a group whom we were with for the final project, but every week we were put into groups to present with new classmates. I don't believe he could have done anything better because I felt that the course was really well thought out.

There isn't anything to improve on. Edward Keaunui's teaching style and methods were clear and helpful when learning the materials.

In regards to the final project presentation groups that are preassigned, I would have to suggest that each group have a good ratio of members with specific skill sets.

I have no suggestions for improving Mr. Keaunui's teaching style and methods because his teaching style and methods are excellent.

There were too many presentations and not enough lecture time. I felt that a presentation every week was excessive.

One observation I would like to input on pertains to the final project. Have the group due the a presentation in the middle of the course and then again for the final presentation.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class and I feel like I learned quite a bit; I have no suggestions that could improve upon Pro. Keaunui's style or methods of teaching.

People have different ways of learning, but in the case of this particular course, I enjoyed very much having to present marketing scenarios on a weekly basis. Maybe some students would have been more comfortable with a lecture type of setting, but that would no have been a productive way to learn the core principles of marketing. So essentially, we learned how to work with many types of personalities, which taught us how to work under pressure and succeed. Thus, I cannot think of any other way this course could have been improved because I was quite impressed with the variety of methods he used to teach.

17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....

He's a very informative teacher and very knowledgeable in the subject. If he were to teach other courses, I would definitely take those courses.

I like the way Professor Keaunui made himself available to us outside normal working hours to help us with our group project.

Professor Edward Keaunui is a very enthusiastic instructor and definitely has a genuine passion for his students to do well in the course.

He is good and knows his subject.

He is a great teacher. From the very first day of class I felt comfortable being in his class. I thought I was going to struggle in this course but I think I did pretty good and it is because of the way he taught the subject. He takes interest in his students and he wants us to do our best. When we do presentations his constructive criticisms are very helpful and you always know that he does that to make us better and know what we should work on. He even took the time out on the weekend to meet with my group for about two hours to work with us on our final project and never rushed to leave he waited until we were ready to leave. He is the best teacher I ever had so far through all the years I have been attending college.

A grade A professor! Very engaging and his class is very hand on which keeps things interesting. Highly recommended.

He know's what he's talking about and he makes it fun to learn and at the same time challenging.

Excellent. Not only was class enjoyable, but we also learned about marketing concept while doing fun activities.

Prof. Keaunui was an excellent teacher and taught a very well-rounded, engaging marketing course. It's very obvious that he loves what he does and his enthusiasm is infectious. If anyone else who took this course doesn't feel the same way, they have no business in the field of marketing.

After completion of the course, I could very well tell that Professor Keaunui put a lot of time and effort into making our time with him as productive as possible, and I felt his methods were effective in reaching his goal. He made the class interesting and encouraged everyone to be on time and not skip class and he lead by example. I will recommend his course to everyone I know whether they are a business major or not. The skills he taught were absolutely significant to any career.

Professor Keaunui is a great professor, and would take him again if he were to instruct another business course or like speech.

Mr. Keaunui is a great instructor! His teaching methods are different from most but they work well. Instead of lecturing, he provides projects that making learning the material easier than hearing a lecture on the subject would. He has a great attitude and treats his students well. Mr. Keaunui could teach a few other instructors I've had a thing or two on how to successfully teach a class.

This course was very interesting. I learned many terms and skills for this field.

I definitely enjoyed this course because of the hands-on learning experience through the group presentations. Overall, great teaching style compared to the lecture-only courses most professors teach.

I think students that take this course with Mr. Keaunui will enjoy it. It's not a boring class and there is a lot of interaction with all your class mates and even with the teacher so you become comfortable enough were you can be yourself and enjoy and want to attend class.

I really recommend Professor Keaunui. If he did teach other courses, I would most certainly take it with him! :)

It's a shame Prof. Keaunui isn't available to teach other Marketing (or public speaking) classes. He is a marvelous educator.

I would like to suggest that Professor Keaunui be given the opportunity to teach a Speech class. I felt that the techniques and methods he used to teach us about the core principles of marketing were comparable to that of the lessons one learns in a speech class. Therefore, I felt (along with many of my classmates) felt that he should be teaching a Speech class in addition to this one. I think many students would benefit from his lessons and am confident that he would be perfect for the position.

No. This course should have been given as an online course since the class was tasked with presenting for the entire semester.

This course helped me to understand the accounting aspect of marketing its one thing to have a great product but there is other aspect when it comes to marketing it like the budgeting and what best way to spend it. also its important to utilize the the tools you have in order to save money and spend it else where. Marketing helps you to better understand your resources and how best to use them.

It provided me with different marketing methods that I had not thought of before and showed how in depth marketing is.

I liked the oral presentations, maybe more structure on what should be reported in each presentation but I like the flexiability it allowed for creativity which made it fun and interesting.

We had five presentations thoughout the semester and discussion questions every week.

i think it great to incorporate public speaking into the class because many people have problems with it. the idea of having groups teach the class is good but not for the entire semester. with students teaching students not much is learned i for one was not comfortable teaching something i didnt fully understand myself. Mr. Keaunui should have had groups teach one day out of the week and he do a recap the next day that way students feel they are learning and understand the correct material.

I think it was great. the reflection questions on the chapters did well to make you think more critically about what was being learned.

I would have preferred more lecturing by the teacher. If not, an Oral Communication designation would have been appropriate since we were essentially teaching the material to ourselves.

Presentation did help out on the marketing aspect of class.

Having the students present each learning objective for each chapter is not what I paid for when I enrolled into this course. How can a student learn anything from another student who's trying to learn the material as well?

The instructional methods employed by the instructor were very displeasing. A lot of pressure was put upon the individual student and I don't feel a comfortable environment for learning was not factored in by the professor's approach

it helped in that we applied the basics of marketing, but we should focus more on the terms in class.

The approach he used was team collaboration and team work. It works directly with my field of study which is business because you have to be able to work with various parties of people on several different projects.

with his approach i dont feel i fully learned the material, students teaching student i didnt feel was helpful. some times it was helpful it the group teaching make a strong effort to convey the material. many times groups were just presenting to present and werent covering all the information. he should of had the groups teach only one day of the week and he do a recap the next day, that i feel would have been more effective.

I would have liked it better if the instructor went over the chapters instead of just having us read it. I do understand that us presenting was leading up to our final project, however there were some things in the book that I was still fuzzy on even after reading.

I think having our classmates present each chapter every class period helps a little because they made it easier for us to understand the book by putting the definition of each chapters in their own words.

The textbook was the only resource that was used. I could have learned the same amount just by reading the book and not going to class.

Actually teach rather than making students present the material.

He kind of had an attitude in the beginning which most of us didn't like it wasn't professional. Needs to be nicer.

Scrap the final presentation and instead use multiple presentations or smaller scale projects. Also, include the use of quizzes instead of chapter presentations for easier tracking of class progress.

Show patience with the class. Acknowledge (personally) that all students may not be the best students that can possibly be encountered. Acknowledge that all students are not created equal and that a student may not be able to be molded into the ideal student within the time frame of a semester.

Lecture instead of the class teaching the class. Many students have taken lower division marketing class that is similar if not the exact materials learned. Marketing should bring a uniqueness to those in the marketing field of study.

He should add in his sylambus that the students are teaching the class. Meaning, presenting to class assign chapters to present because in the beggining we were only getting a week in advance knowing we were presenting. Later we knew in advance when we were presenting which was helpful.
