9. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
Whenever singing is done always have student singing in sections.
Sing more. No papers or written quizzes. Put specific assignments up in Laulima course site so students can go back and check what is due and when. Once a key is picked for a song, don't keep changing it. No drama exercises, just more singing. Practical assignments to help improve individual abilities. If a song is put in Laulima to practice, in a specific key, then the key changes, please update the resource.
I don't see much room for any improvement. Shes been halpful in every aspect of chorus class. I've found Louis to be genuinely concerned about the success of each student. Always focusing on allowing each student an avenue to make up their grades if we fell short in some area of class.
10. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?
I enjoyed singing parts and class discussions.
Singing.
She made a believer out of me, that we all have the ability to sing, if we applied ourselves fully.
11. My overall evaluation of this course is...
This is a much needed class for the IHM program students.
I don't know if Lois has taught before but it seems like she was feeling her way through the course. She is very knowledgeable and talented, but just needs help with how to teach a big (and sometimes unruly) group. More info for her about the various college policies, etc. would help her as well.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the desire to simply sing.

I really enjoyed this class.
Good job Lois. Don't stop teaching.
She creates a win, win atmosphere. That is conducive to learning, assimilating and applying oneself to the task at hand. I can't think of anything that would be contrary to my above statement!
