13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
She is intelligent.
Her real life experience.
She knows a lot about global marketing and can provide us with a lot of knowledge.
Lying is her major strength. As of last week she was saying next week we will do this, then when the next week would come, she would change (lie) and say something different. She would say that she "mis-spoke". Okay Hillary Clinton.
She encourages students participation
Her major strength was her ability for us students to think independently. She has expertise in the subject matter, and I felt that she knew that we should as future marketers be able to think independently and be able to solve any problems and dilemmas presented to us.
She knew marketing due to her background and has experience in her field.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
She should make the assignment more clearly defined.
She should take course from the book too, because as i seem that she is presenting herself in class according to her experience.
Whatever suggestions have been made to Professor Susan Dik.
She really needs to have a structure for the class because it is really disorganize and no one knows what will happen the next class.
Teach the class and not have the students do the job that you are being paid a lot of money to do. Teach from the book that is costing the students $200 to purchase. Stop giving test of 40 questions every week on material that you have NOT covered ever, and then, never covered even after the weekly test.
She should go back to the office, because thats where she belongs. She should not be teaching.
In terms of changes, I would suggest a slight change in the lecture format. I felt that the first half of the course I did not neccessairly learn anything knew, and that I was not getting any clear information from the lectures. I would like to see a mix of both lectures as well as discussion in class.
Have a clear syllabus and give clear instructions on what is expected of assignments.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
She was friendly and ope to talk.
She doesn't seem very helpful to certain students.
The ones that she liked. She is an emotional grader so everyone is afraid to say what we need from her, because she changes your grade when she is mad at you for speaking up in class, or questioning her crazy iratic ways.
Not really.
She showed concern by actively listening to students and their problems, and was open to discuss any concerns before or after class.
She would tell us how we are progressing and ask if we are okay.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes.
No.
NO WAY!!!! She grades by emotions not by how the student performs the work. The work in class seems not related and us students don't know what we're learning. Things seem to happen day by day and not according to the syllabus. Rather, there really was no syllabus that was related to what we're doing in class that day.
Never, NEVER!!! This was the worst experience of my life!!
No. Because she is disorganized, lost and confusing. Her assignments are not clear, unfinished, she has no control over her own material and I havent learned a thing from her during all this semester. She let us rule the class and teach the chapters, the grading is unclear. She asks us what she should do... I have never seen such thing. It was scary.
I actually would recommend Professor Steiner to other students. I felt that the structure of the class itself was interesting, and that I did gain knowledge that I probably wouldn't learn or retain otherwise. Although I felt the class was quite scattered at times, overall I felt that I have laerned enough in the subject to confidently say that I would be able to use the knowledge I learned in class in the real world.
Yes, I would, for other marketing courses I am sure she is knowledgable, but I would not recommend her for Global Marketing course.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Nothing
I wish there were another professor I could choose from for this course.
She really needs to set standards and guidelines for her class and NOT keep changing her mind. She never sticks to the plan and keeps changing the daily activities and homework. Our class never knew our grades too because we never knew how many points our assignments and test were worth. She knowledgable but very terrible at teaching. I wish I got more out of the class and not just sitting in class not learning anything future business related.
My expectation was that I would learn so much about doing business around the globe and I really only learned (from the students) what they did in their country. But they don't really know anything much....very sad. I like her as a person, but she is a horrible instructor. She was be-friending the students that she could control, Hassan, Sarrah D, and Uma because they are afraid of her. Maybe she make them promises.
She might be a great financial advisor, but it is a real mess as a teacher.

This was a waste of time and money.
This class had great potential, but she ruined it.
