6. Why did you choose to take this course? (It fulfilled a focus designation (WI, E, OC, HAP, etc.), POLS major/minor requirement, major/minor requirement for another department, time and day(s) of the week it was offered, instructor, subject matter, etc.)
It satisfied one of my elective requirements for civil engineering and I was possibly considering a minor is POLS.
I needed one more class in my a certain time slot and this was the only class open and I have an interest in political science.
I am thinking about majoring in Political Science and this fulfills one of its requirement.
Interest in learning about politics
POLS major requirement
I chose to take this course because I was interested in American politics and how it originated. Also, I wanted a stronger understanding of what "political science" entailed and how it was implemented in other parts of the world.
I chose this course because I am interested in a possible political science major and it fulfilled a core credit. It wasn't available by any regular teachers, but only offered by teaching assistants from other countries. The language barrier made it difficult to learn. It was offered MWF.

13. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?
His passions about political science.
He wants to help and he really cares about what he teaches.
He is always trying to engage the class into discussing the material of the current lecture he had given.
His lectures would combine information from the readings along with current events and it really helped me to put things into perspective and to always think about how things in the world happen with a political point of view.
I didn't find anything valuable or helpful about Won's class. I took an Advanced Placement United States Government course in my senior year of high school and absolutely loved it which is how my interest in political science began. I competed in state competitions dealing with the foundations of constitutionalism and how politics played a role in American society. In Won's class, most of the concepts he taught didn't seem to relate to political science nor did they interest me at all.
He is an extremely kind and caring teacher.
He try to communicate and understand student. And his lecture is well prepared.
He is invested in a lot of the subject matter and he is quite knowledgable
good power points
Willing to help.
14. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the instructor?
The language barrier seemed to get in the way at times.
At times he is hard to understand and sometimes his lectures were boring.
Everything he assigned helped me gain the necessary knowledge for this course.
Since Won is originally from South Korea, I expected him to have an accent and since I am of Asian descent I can easily discern and understand most accents, but for a subject as meticulous as Political Science, his accent made it very hard to understand or grasp any difficult concept because his knowledge of English was on such a basic level.
Language barrier.
Sometimes because of time limitation, Choi skipped some part of the lecture.
He can be too quiet sometimes

21. Other comments:
Won is really good at making the information understandable and enjoyable! I also liked the movies and shows that we watched.
If Won can improve his English to explain difficult concepts using broader vocabulary, then this course wouldn't have been so poor. Furthermore, if he had conducted some in-class activities (since the class was so small) my interest would've been kept. Unfortunately, he simply came to class and rambled on about miscellaneous political concepts that didn't seem to relate to each other.
Thank you for your lecture!
