14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
He needs to not assume that we're all going to major in accounting so that he will stop giving us 400 level work.
Perhaps taking away the group projects. Sometimes it was hard to keep up with the lectures and also making time for the group project. Everyone has different schedules.
I think the changes should be that we have more extra credit for the class.
Practice test before actual tests.
great teacher. no changes necessary
He should focus more on the material when he teaches and not go off tangent and talk about something else.
Nothing.
More In-Class practice problems versus note taking. I personally learn better from example problems.
speak slowly
need to slowdown the pace for non native speaker.
Use metaphors or relate topics to real life examples.
NONE! You are awesome!
When writting notes on the board and talking at the same time it was difficult to see the notes from one side of the class.
None, the class was great. best acct teacher.
i would suggest to put less priority on the project as i felt that it took away from learning some of the other material

no
Maybe instead of focusing on all notes, we could focus on doing at least one example problem in class for each chapter. Sometimes I feel it is easier to learn material through examples rather than wordy notes.
Sometimes he speaks softly so it can be a little difficult to hear his lectures. Maybe run us through the notes instead of giving it to us to copy down so we don't have to teach ourselves. I feel like I learn better through hands on and lectures.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
he worte "come see me" on tests we did horribly on and gave us chances to make up at least half the points we lost.
He encouraged us to come by his office hours if we needed help and always answered out emails.
By being very fair about grades.
Prof. is easy to talk to, usually there during office hours and replies to most emails. a lot more than most teachers.
He informs you of your grade and offers extra credit. At the beginning of the semester you can sign up for bonus articles and later during the year if you do super bad on an exam you can do the flash card quiz
Kevin goes above and beyond for his students. He would write "see me" on the top of tests or homework assignments if you received a low grade. He tries to understand your current lifestyle and tries to suggest ways on how to study and even where to study.
Let us know what to focus on in studying and learning about the materials in addition to grades status update.
:)
He stated when his office hours were and reminded us daily
He extended homework deadlines if necessary and gave extra credit and bonuses to students who need it...like...myself. :P
If you show that you are putting effort into the class he is willing to help you out and get you through the class.
He would wrtie encouraging notes on tests and quizzes and also kept an updated grade sheet available. He would also send lots of emails and always encourage his office hours.
he was very readily available most days of the week and helped students during the class lectures

Yes, Dooley is a good teacher overall. Don't expect to learn everything through his lectures because you will have to teach yourself most of the time. It's not too hard to follow as long as you keep up with the notes and chapters.
Yes , I would strongly recommend him to other students. It is because he is very understandable. The course was organized. He knows the course well. He treated students fairly. He graded tests fairly, Homework and the reading assignments fairly. He is helpful and efficient. He is easily to follow along with. He answers the e-mails, and he is not mean.

He is a great teacher, very profesional and doesn't waist students time.
Great teacher.
Good job!
He is rarely online. He came to the meeting at 3:45 p.m. and also participated in the Blackboard collaborative session. He is also a persistent, kind and a tactful person.
All though I didn't complete his course due to personal reasons, Mr. Dooley never shunned me away. He continued to keep me updated through email. He has influenced me to become better in all that I choose to do whether it may be in accounting, administration, etc.
He always makes sure we are up to par on the assignments and team project...
He's very friendly & easy to talk with.

18. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
How extremely difficult it was and how 80% of my study time went to this class and my other 3 classes combined only took up the other 20%.
The amount of work we had to do.
The group work that we did as a team.
The project we did and it was the hardest course i've taken so far. Also its the base of what i need to know in the future if i plan to go into accounting or business.
His weird jokes and examples in class, but most of all, his kindness and concern for his students.
The team project that was assigned and the ratios figures.
My grade
how he taught us whith his own style
How exciting he made accounting
Probably being asked a question by Professor Dooley and getting the answer wrong...always...HAHAHAHA!
The way professor Dooley spoke
The group project.
utilizing my basic accounting skills in my career field

His materials and of course him. Was a pleasure being his student. I feel like I learned something in his class that will help me in my profesion.
The amount of knowledge I gained from it. Espcially from the team project. Before this class I didn't know anything about stock investing and now i have some good general knowledge about it
the team project
In ten years from now in Accounting 202 I remember a lot of things such as Chapter 22 Cost-Profit Volume Analysis the Balance sheet. The Chapter 23 The Budgetary Planning the cash budget and the Budgeted balance sheet. In chapter 24 the Budgetary Control and the responsibility report in Accounting. This includes the case study, Reports, and the Developments. There are also types of responsibility center such as cost centers, Profit Centers and the Investment Centers.
His excellent teaching.
using the knowledge I learned at work...

20. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
He's a really good teacher. He needs no improvements.
Perhaps taking more time to discuss actual problems in the book that will prepare students for quizes/tests/
I think that there should be more extra credit, because accounting is a very unique subject with a lot of specifics.
maybe more review material that is bundled before tests, not really needed but would be nice to have.
Focus on the material and not go off tangent so much. Also do more problems/examples in class so the students know what they are doing.
N/A
More in-class problems as example for better understanding on harder materials.
not 201 but in 202 when you give group assignment, you need to decrease the point portion for group project. it is killing me now..
Orginize his examples he writes on the board
Well, let's see...maybe more time for class? 9:15 - 10:30 seems too short for an Accounting class??
Maybe check to see if non native speakers are following.
More group work maybe.
maybe focusing less on project and more on material
N/A
He is good the way he does it
more problem examples.
speak louder and go through the notes more instead of jumping into a problem. I always feel lost if I don't have the basics down and feel bad when he calls on me for the answers.
Less focus on team projects due to the nature of the class being an online class.
Going online more frequently.

21. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?
asking him questions one on one and participating.

His advice and suggestions on how to study.
Approachable and always reply his emails.
The way he ask us questions during the class
clear direction and objective of class material
Really goes out of his way to help students

He is willing to help you. Also his extra credits, group project, and notes really make it easier to understand what is going on in the class
His helpful attitude and great explanations of the material.

really good teacher. Helpful, understanding and caring. At first i didn't want to take this class because of the project but then i switch out of my other class and into this class and i don't regret it.
Thank you Kevin!! I really hated accounting but being in your class for the summer and fall semester was fun! I will sincerely miss you! Probably one of the most amazing teachers I've ever had!! Thank you for your kindness and support!
It was a great semester learning new materials on accounting.
The group work was really hard work, but it helped me think about investment and stock.
yes. The group project we did counts for a good amount of our grade.
Very good teacher to learn a tough subject from.
For the most part, I am thankful for the opportunity of being in the Accounting 202 class. Half-way through I had too stop due to personal reasons, but in that short time I did learn some valuable accounting skills. The degree I am working toward is not in accounting, but I believe these skills will help me in my future... Thank you Mr. Dooley...
