n/a
He knows the material well, and is able to explain it in perhaps, an easier and shorter way to the students. He is also available to the students outside of class which is great.
He was always available outside of class.
Allowing students to make up tests to help them to understand the concept better and get the best possible grade. He was always there to help students whenever they needed help.
He helps when you need it
Mr Jung went out of his way to help students
teaching students in easy eay
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
n/a
Perhaps speaking a little slower.
none, i liked the way the class was set up.
talking louder
Even though the steps are shorter for the problems he goes over, he may still need to do the whole problem step by step for some of the students. At times, the due dates for the mymathlab were unclear and some confusion ensued. The tests for mymathlab are sometimes extremely difficult as they do not have practice problems that are at all similar, so re-takes for tests would be a nice addition.
Homework should be due at a later time, sometimes 8Pm is very hard for people who have work.
Nothing
no
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He works with the students individually so that they understand all the concepts.
He always answered questions. Also he cares for the well being of the students, and understands if there are important reasons for being absent.
He would send out email alerts for exams and things of the sort. A few emails contained helpful information regarding studying and things.
yes he seemed like he really cared about how everyone was doing in the class, and helped whenever he noticed any struggling
He is able to see the grades immediately after taking a quiz or test and if we do get low scores, he is willing to help and go over any problems that we want to know about.
He was available outside of class.
Even though this class was online, he made sure to give a short lecture at the beginning of class.
He helped
he offered all of his free time to accommodate students when they needed help

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Kind
Jinho is a teacher that is able to be contacted even after class and days we dont have class. he responds to emails fairly quick and knows where i made the errors during assignments. he was able to walk me through any corrections on tests and quizzes that i had wrong and have me understand where i made a mistake
Professor Jung knew the curriculum well and helped me whenever I was stuck on a problem. He is a very well-rounded teacher.
he encouraged students to participate in class and made sure we understood the material we were learning
Making sure everyone finishes their homework and tries to help students one-on-one.
Jung is patient, kind, and very supportive. He wants the best for his students and is willing to give extra time for students to get over misunderstandings. Math itself is a frustrating subject and he is more than happy to go over problems before, during, and after class. He is one of my favorite teachers. He understands the students' needs and frustrations, and is sympathetic when it comes to personal issues.
Mr. Jung really cares about his students. I really like how if you're absent, he really notices and asks you if there's anything going on and if you're okay. He really encourages students to come to class to do work and he's a great teacher overall! I think because of his accent, it makes listening to him fun and interesting and I really feel good when doing work in his class.
He is very accommodating to every student. He made sure that everyone was on the right way to get a good grade in the class. He always gave reminders by email for the homework and upcoming assignments/quiz.
He would show each step of the math problem very carefully and that helps us learn it a lot better.
Jinho Jung does his best to help the understand the concept of each unit.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
I feel that he should have a little bit more lecture time, if not have the students that needs help go to the front and go over problems. When explaining the steps to solve a problem, he should go slow and steady
For the class he should teach on the board and speak to the class rather then to the board. The class was based on the computer in class, but he can still teach a little for a better understanding.
No changes is necessary.
start doing lectures in the begining of the school year and also do the mymathlab in class as well.
Nothing, he changed his course from an everyday lecture class to an online class, which I find very effective. Even with this new semester change, in units that are difficult he schedules some days for lectures, so that there is reassurance among the students that this can be accomplished and learned.
I would really like if Mr. Jung gave more lectures during class because it gives me a deeper understanding of how the problem is supposed to be solved.
Nothing.
Nothing, he is a caring teacher.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
Even
Jinho showed concern for his student by pulling them on the side after test and quizzes and going over mistakes that they made. he also walks around the room and has his head up at all times to see if anyone has a question that he responds to immediatly.
He told us our grades and took down our attendance.
He helped every single student in class. He showed concern whenever he helped a student and he was always there when I student needed help. Not once did he ignore a student.
On one of the chapter exams all of the students didn't understand the material and didn't do well, so he re-opened our homework assignments online so we can go back and study them and he let us do a retake.
When a student like email him, he makes sure to respond right away and make sure that he get to help every student
Like I said, he is patient and understanding.
If you're absent, I think he'll email you if you're okay, but if he doesn't, he'll ask if you're okay the next time he sees you. He's also very encouraging and caring of his students' academics.
Always encourages the students to do their best. Spams you with emails so you know clearly what the homework is.
Since all our homework is online, and we have to finish it at a certain deadline, he lets us make up for it and gives us another chance to do the homework.
Whenever a student needs help on a problem, he helps them individually. He gives them the proper attention that they need.
yes he did!!
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

I would recommend him as a teacher if you can pick up on the material quickly and like math because he moves pretty quick during the semester.
If you like to be independent, then this is a class to take.

Very nice and he knows the subject very well.
Its good that he uses mymathlab!
18. Other comments:
Class was suppose to be a lecture class by turned out to basically be an online class where the teacher just sat there and told us to do all the work on the computer.this would be one if he isn't have a heavy accent and perv on all the girls in class.
Good job!
