1. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
The teachings of the different tools you can use such as excel. They will really help you in the real world when you need to find a job.
everything I learned in this class is very valuable to me. I needed the most help with Excel. Since learning Excel in this class, I was able to use that knowledge for other classes. This was a great class and I recommend all major should take this as an elective.
I found what I learned to be valuable because I have only touched the surface of the software we worked with before. However, this class taught me more about them and how they really can help you in common jobs.
Learning the terms needed in order to understand the programs used.
When we got to the Powerpoint section it helped me a lot in my other classes to create a slide show. Word was another aspect of this course that was very valuable to me because in college there is a lot of papers to be written and having a good knowledge of the program will help you a lot.
Pretty much everything, If you dont pay attention your gunna miss something important.
The instructor had a good relationship with the students.
I feel that the most important aspects of this class was learning how to use Acess
i think all of the things that we have learned in the class were valuable. in real life and in jobs you are going to need to know how to do all of these things because of how big of a deal technology has on us today.

8. State in two or three sentences how this course could be improved.
This course could be improved by getting a better book. It also can be improved by not being so step by step.
The book was hard to understand and ended up having a lot of errors. The directions where hard to follow occasionally, they needed to be more specific about detail. The book was really big, therefore hard to carry around. A book like that should not be all together, instead make it just pages with holes punched in the sides so that I can have a binder with only the chapters I need. It was very painful bringing the book everywhere.
- When given tests, it'd be easier if all the questions that we're told to study, are in the test. I find it easier to have all questions rather than break it up to a select few questions. - I'd be nice to have a study guide for all the tests.
Some of the questions in the book were hard to understand.
I would like the textbook to be made a little differently. It is so big and flimsy that it feels like it will just fall apart. I also had a hard time reading through all the chapters every class time because they were so long. The last thing that I feel we need to improve on this course is to get rid of the access section. To me it does not help me in anything that I do and it does not come with Microsoft 2013. So all that homework was needed to be taken in class or at a school computer with access.
This class could be improved by not having to work out that huge book and just have better explaining questions.
This course could be improved if the instructor better engaged the students. Furthermore, the instructor could simplify concepts without hesitation. Students will not always acknowledge that they do not understand a particular concept.
None I can think of
i think that this was a pretty good course to take. this course was a little challenging for me because of the book. it did not make sense and there were many mistakes that we found throughout the course.
9. Other comments:
It sucked when the teacher was late or when she would arrive exactly at 9am. It was stressful to get the computer turned on to find out the daily quizzes started without you and you only had 10 min to do it instead of 15.
Good class all in all.
Because this class falls into a lot of the students' "one of the prerequisites" for their courses, there is a bit of disinterest. Although Laurie is knowledgeable and the book helps in understanding the subject matter, it is not a particularly engaging class.
Mrs, Laurie Varner is a great teacher she is always there for you when help is needed during class work or homework. she tries to do her best to accommodate all the students.
