| He always makes himself available to help you. He knows who you are and takes a special interest in each and everyone. He looks you in the eye when he speaks and you can see his passion and wealth of knowledge that he want to share. Knows your name, he is on time for class and always prepared. Grades papers and test in a timely manner and returns them because he knows we are anxious for the results. Brings materials to class to peak our interests so we may go out and seek other resources available.
His style of teaching he conducts to get us involved so we may retain the information he gives us is great! |

| Paul Fields is the BEST teacher I have ever had!!!! I truly mean it! I wish I new about him sooner, I would have taken other classes from him. I am very disappointed that he is going to retire, but I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I had to take this class.
Paul Fields is like a "great book"...you just want to keep reading and not stop...I just want to listen to everything he has to say and I look forward to each and every class because he has such a fantastic and interesting style of teaching! |

I learned so much more than I thought he would. I liked how he explained some events from
both sides ( mainland and native Hawaiian view) and never took a side. |
