13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

The work load was fair and appropriate.

I loved all of the powerpoints and how effective they were in learning about our subjects and assignments.

The content and learning material was good stuff.

I'v enjoyed this class much more than expected because when i hear biology i get nervous, but Ali made it comfortable and easy to learn and the outing we go to are awesome

I liked the smaller assignments, done weekly. Able to use them for good reference for information, exams, finals.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

Try to make yourself more clear on assignments, tests , and quizes, some of the questions on the tests and quizes where confusing on exactly what wanted.

Needs to improve on using technology the projector was the main downfall.

Outtings where very lucrative for this class and fun and educational.

EVERYTHING ! simply everything one of the best classes i have ever taken EVER!!! all the fieldtrips were very educational and very fun! Loved everything got my exersize and got a beautiful view along with it and on top of that i learned something new every time :)

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

What I like about this course are the field trips. Because it helps the students learn the topic or subject being taught easier and in a much more better way. The students get to get out of class and be outdoors. But also learn in fun way. The field trips actually helps the students do some hands on work and really get into doing their work.

field trips were very useful in learning course studies.

I enjoyed that we had a variety of excursion that pertained to the course. I think that it was effective towards what we are currently learning in the class.

I liked that tests were open notes. Because we were responsible for taking our own notes, passing the test was basically up to us. I enjoyed going on field trips every week so that way we could apply what we learned in the class into the actual environment.

The assignments as well as the field trips were effective in getting the message that she was aiming for across, and were very interesting.

I enjoyed this class. Although my classmates were very unintelligent for their age. Some of them were very immature, and I found that to be a problem.

Because of this class, I'm changing my major to environmental studies. The teacher, Ali was organized, she went according to the syllabus, we always knew where we stood with our grade so we know if we need extra credit. Offers to do extra credit were plenty. The teacher treated us with respect, I really liked the nearby field trips, computer lab projects, and class videos. This is the best class I've ever had, and I'm 51yrs old! I've taught @ MCC for a year myself, so I know it takes a lot to prepare, and keep up. I will be looking to take classes she teaches in the future.

I liked everything including the teacher. She is very knowledgable and it was very interesting class. I didn't think that I'd like science but, I can say that I really did enjoy every aspect of this class.

This course was EXCELLENT! I really loved Science and Mrs. Atkins was so interactive. This course made you want to make a difference to save the environment.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

In my opinion i have to say less videos and more field trips.

I suggest that you wait at least 15 minutes after the start of class when you decide to have a field trip. That would give students with back to back classes time to get to the destination.
