Suzanne is a very capable teacher and has very good insight and information to share about embellishing low fire pieces, her personal antidotes and encouragement really made this course worth while.
The different methods and hands-on examples of different techniques.

13. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
I found it difficult to keep up with due dates and as to what exactly was expected. I felt like Suzanne assumed that most of her students were familiar with low fire ceramics and sometimes would brush over important aspects, like certain demonstrations. Her teaching style is lax, but she expects so much. I think a better correlation between her demonstrations and her final expectation for pieces would help the course. Also, I think that too much emphasis was put onto Laulima. For a course like ceramics, hands on experience is key, I don't want to read about what to do, I am in school and I show up to class so that someone with experience can show me first hand about what to do.
Nothing, but the safety tests should be given out earlier in the semester.
