2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
This class was unique because the professor is one of the top professionals in the insurance field. He has first hand experience and unlimited knowledge in this course. Prior to taken his class, I was quite confused about the insurance industry in general however after taking Professor Chaffin class, there was an tremendous improvement in my ability to learn insurance. Most importantly, I am more interested in learning about insurance after taking this course. As far as personal development, I have more burning desire to get into the insurance industry. As far as professional development, I have matured along the course of this semester. For example, at the begining of the semester, my mind was all over the place. Along the way with the guidance of Professor Chaffin,organization was a key point he stressed.
I took this course to fulfill the requirements for the Risk Management & Insurance Certificate Program. The course enhanced my overall knowledge of insurance programs while also giving us more depth of knowledge on the types of commercial lines of insurance.
I was good this was his first semester teaching and we had a pretty rough class. :0) he was good fun and tried his best to break down the most important information needed to learn.

The course material was very clear easy to understand and his objectives for the class was on point. My only improvement for the class is to have more specific questions on the test. There were times where the questions were confusing so it lowered my score.

Have more Specific questions on the quiz and test.
Maybe make the textbook purchase optional. Although I did refer to it sometimes, I found his lectures were in depth enough to learn the material without reading the textbook.
17. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
nothing less but the best. Although this was Professor Chaffin first time teaching, I feel that he did a excellent job in teaching the class to the best of his abilities. I recommend this instructor.

Mr. Chaffin proved to be an effective instructor and felt I gained a lot of knowledge regarding the commercial aspect of the insurance industry. He was clear and straightforward about his expectations of the class and also in the presentation of his course materials. He made himself accessible to the class and brought his real world knowledge of the insurance industry through his examples and guest speaker.
he did a great job this semester. I am glad I was able to take his class on his first semester teaching. He was great he tried to gain info from students to make his class better for the next semester.
He's a great professor, especially for someone who has never taught before. Although the material isn't the most exciting, he kept the course as light and interesting as possible.

20. My overall evaluation of this course is...
The course covered a lot of material which was rather cumbersome. However, Mr. Chaffin infused a bit of life into the course by sharing his real life examples and displaying his passion of the insurance industry.
i enjoyed it ... insurance is a tough topic for me and he made it fun and easy to learn.
Overall the course is very beneficial and I learned all the insurance concepts and principles in the commercial insurance context.

I felt that it was helpful that I had taken the Personal Lines of Insurance and Business Law courses before I took this course.
Lloyd Chaffin is a good instructor. I appreciate he is willing to give up his time and invest in this program to teach us newbies.
