19. If you were teaching this course: a. What would you do to improve it? b. What would you change?

The class would learn lessons with short assignments.

I would try to have a little 1 on 1 time with students. Some of the students in our class have come to me personally to get help. Since I have a bettere understanding of what is expected I gladly help these students to best of my ability. I have been compared to Professor Cline as to the way he teaches and peoplefeel as if I should become a english professor.

His methods of teaching are not flexible to students who learn in different ways.

I think Mr. Cline is an excellent teacher with great teaching methods. I will definitely want to take another one of his classes.

I have thought from the beginning that Prof. Cline has been a fare teacher to his students. He does have good teaching methods that come across in a humarous way to students learn.

My knowledge of the class has grown with his help.

Yes. Mr. Cline contributed a lot towards my general knowledge especially in english with vocabulary, writing essays, and he also taught me how to efficiently use time to produce well thought out essays.

Prof. Cline has reminded me of what I have been taught many years ago. He gave me the guidance I needed to become a better writer when I thought I could be one.

I was very surprised on the amount of reading we had to accomplish within weeks to finish a book. I thought that would be too much although reading is my weakness and from this class I learned to apprehend each novel..

The material and topics covered in this class were both engaging and diverse. The most important aspect of such a class is, to me, the conversations. The only thing I would have like to have had more of was more engagement among the students. I feel this

none!

If I had been teaching this class, one of the main things that I would have changed would have been to make the class a little more interactive by doing more than just discussion. Some possibilities might have included some side-projects on related topics

Steven Cline made me to become capable of reading and understanding a novel less than a month. These were one of my goals that I have accomplished.

I feel a sense of initiative to delve into ideas and more thoroughly research vantage points from a variety of sources. From this class I feel more capable and repectful of the ability to be self-motivated in discipline and explore knowledge.

Nothing needs to be changed. As always, Cline's knowledge of the literature world astonishes me. I love learning from him.

There is no room for improvement as this was an excellent class to take.

Less structure. Give the studens the freedom to do what they want, while still fufilling the objectives of the course.

His methods of teaching Creative Writing was fun and inivative.

Stephen is an excellent facilitator. If he were to be teaching other classes I would take them readily.

Stephen is one of my favorite teachers, though he seems to have a habit of teasing.

I enjoyed the class a lot. Professor Cline is overall very knowledgable and helpfl.

I really enjoyed his teaching method and even though some topics were intimidating to do (the play for example), the instructor broke it down and explained the whole process so that the projects were not so intimidating.

I can't say enough about Steve. He is a great instructor and very knowledgable in his area of expertise. He is very caring and always willing to take the time to help you. He is understanding and knows that returning students are faced with many challe

I LOVE TO WRITE!

I have learned so much more in this class and will be using what I have learned to further my goals as a writer.

Absolutely! Now I want to write all the time and I'll actually act on it when I have ideas! I've been writing short stories and poems, just for fun and I don't care that people at work are asking me questions like, "why would you do that?"

Absolutely!!!!! In the three classes, I have taken with him, I have learned so much, I will be able to take it with me as I continue my studies at the AA level and then on to the BA level. Thanks Steve!!!!

On this campus there are a "golden" few, and Stephen Cline is one of them. He is thoughtful, supportive, compassionate, caring and generally the foundation to make a person want to succeed in getting a good education.

Fun Class

Not only did I enjoy this class, but I felt like I learned so much about myself and how to write. I have more confidence as a writer and am not afraid to share my thoughts, ideas, and feelings on paper anymore, especially through using fictional characte

He is the BOMB!!!!!

No more Hamlet! He's told the Hamlet plot three times in this course, and three times in all the other courses I've taken with him!
