19. If you were teaching this course: a. What would you do to improve it? b. What would you change?
i wouldnt change it
practical exams...
i would have pizza parties and watch movies
I wouldn't change anything. The professor taught it well.
The class would learn lessons with short assignments.
nothing good job
Nothing
Have more one on one session with the students. More interactive ways to learn
nothing.
I would try to have a little 1 on 1 time with students. Some of the students in our class have come to me personally to get help. Since I have a bettere understanding of what is expected I gladly help these students to best of my ability. I have been compared to Professor Cline as to the way he teaches and peoplefeel as if I should become a english professor.
I would make less essays...just kidding. Nah, I wouldn't do much. Maybe make it more exciting by providing activities that will spark students interests.
20. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?

very helpful
The teacher taught well and was very helpful.
I thought that they were appropriate for the class. Entertaining and well organized
good, it is easy to understand.
I have thought from the beginning that Prof. Cline has been a fare teacher to his students. He does have good teaching methods that come across in a humarous way to students learn.
It was pretty effective and motivated me well. I thought he was very enthusiastic and cool. I feel that I truly learned as much as I could from this course.

If I had been teaching this class, one of the main things that I would have changed would have been to make the class a little more interactive by doing more than just discussion. Some possibilities might have included some side-projects on related topics
I was very surprised on the amount of reading we had to accomplish within weeks to finish a book. I thought that would be too much although reading is my weakness and from this class I learned to apprehend each novel..

This is the third class that I have been fortunate enough to have with Mr. Cline and so far, he is one of my favorite instructors at the West Hawaii campus. I was very excited to hear that this class was being offered because I am personally one who loves

Nothing needs to be changed. As always, Cline's knowledge of the literature world astonishes me. I love learning from him.
Less structure. Give the studens the freedom to do what they want, while still fufilling the objectives of the course.
There is no room for improvement as this was an excellent class to take.
Nothing, it is a great class. I only wish the college offered a level 2 to creative writing.
Nothing
More writing! I had so much fun and wanted to write more because of it!
20. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?
I can't say enough about Steve. He is a great instructor and very knowledgable in his area of expertise. He is very caring and always willing to take the time to help you. He is understanding and knows that returning students are faced with many challe
Stephen is one of my favorite teachers, though he seems to have a habit of teasing.
His methods of teaching Creative Writing was fun and inivative.
He can take the joking and mocking of certain students too far.
Stephen is an excellent facilitator. If he were to be teaching other classes I would take them readily.
I enjoyed the class a lot. Professor Cline is overall very knowledgable and helpfl.
Good I like his insight and encouragement and class workshops
I really enjoyed his teaching method and even though some topics were intimidating to do (the play for example), the instructor broke it down and explained the whole process so that the projects were not so intimidating.
21. Has he/she contributed to your general knowledge or to learning job skills?
Absolutely!!!!! In the three classes, I have taken with him, I have learned so much, I will be able to take it with me as I continue my studies at the AA level and then on to the BA level. Thanks Steve!!!!
Yes, I hope to be a writer someday. I love to write mostly science fiction.
I LOVE TO WRITE!
yes.
I have learned so much more in this class and will be using what I have learned to further my goals as a writer.
Yes. I have become a better writer.
Yes very much so
Absolutely! Now I want to write all the time and I'll actually act on it when I have ideas! I've been writing short stories and poems, just for fun and I don't care that people at work are asking me questions like, "why would you do that?"

He is the BOMB!!!!!

No more Hamlet! He's told the Hamlet plot three times in this course, and three times in all the other courses I've taken with him!
On this campus there are a "golden" few, and Stephen Cline is one of them. He is thoughtful, supportive, compassionate, caring and generally the foundation to make a person want to succeed in getting a good education.
Fun Class
Not only did I enjoy this class, but I felt like I learned so much about myself and how to write. I have more confidence as a writer and am not afraid to share my thoughts, ideas, and feelings on paper anymore, especially through using fictional characte
