The fact that Mr. Wolf provided real life examples helped me to remember the difficult material better. It helps me to get the idea for using computer program to do calculation, which may help me a lot in my future career. The group activity. They really help keep you afloat. The computer aspects of this course were the most valuable, because it prepares us to utilize math in the real world.

10. Comment on the instructor's professional attitude and behavior.

He is very knowledgable in the subject that he teaches, and is always available for questions. Calculus is a difficult subject but he provides many opportunities for people to suceed. Mr Wolf is nice and he always helps students whenever we need help. Behavior wise he is a very cool person. Fairly funny and entertaining most of the time. Mr. Wolf was very profesional, and an engaging teacher. His class was taught well.

11. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?

Learning to use derive for solving complicated problems. Well his one on one skill is great and he is willing to spend a great deal of time with someone. Mr. Wolf always answered questions in a meaningful and helpful way.

12. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the instructor?

The textbook is not so helpful and I think it confuses students. Well his teaching style of having the students learn the material them selfs is a difficult strategy, especially with the subject matter that we're dealing with. The only thing I have to complain about is that perhaps Calculus I and Calculus II should be offered at different times. Calculus II students took up the majority of Mr. Wolf's time for answering questions, which could be frustrating.

Class time is too limited. Sometimes, there are not enough time for me to ask questions. If Mr Wolf can provide more office hours outside of class, it would be better. Since your retiring this next semester I guess most feedback won't help too much but I would just recommend that you should have done more class lessons and examples so we got an idea for what we were doing a little more.

1. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?

The hands on work with the instructor and the lessons targeted specifically to our Engineering Tech major. The patience mr. Wolf was able to have with students, even after the same question 5 different times. Mr. Wolfs willingness to simplify and take the time to get a thorough understanding from students was very helpful. Instructor's teaching style, flexibility and professionalism were most valuable and appreciated. Thank you Dr. Wolf.

2. Other comments:

He tried, but I personally believe that this course should of been a little ahead of the physics course. I understand that it doesnt quite work that way, but the physics instructor just charged ahead taking very little to no time to stop for an extra explanation. More example problems out of the physics book, a review of the symbols used in physics would be nice as well. There is a table in the back of the physics book that I did not know about until 3/4 of the way through the semester which would of done wonders for me in the beginning of physics. As of writing this, I am expressing the feelings that I encountered towards both courses throughout the semester. However, after going through the entire math course, I feel like I have a pretty strong understanding of everything we need to know mathematically. Best math teacher I have ever had, no question about that, if anything more math directly out of the physics book would be nice for future students. Math 219 could benefit from more integrated interactive educational content and presentation media. Math 219 needs to be taken prior to PHYS 219.

ALL OF IT The parts where we learned about math. It's hard to say, considering he connected each chapter with the previous one very well, so it shaped very nicely into a whole broad idea. Other than learning the concepts through My Math Lab (extremely helpful), the ability to use skype with Professor Wolf was so valuable- especially to online students.

GREAT A+++ good It was a difficult course that requires teamwork, patience and a WHOLE lot of time. Great teacher, laulima makes math harder- yet My Math Lab is wonderful. Very convenient for college moms, the course fulfills a major requirement.

9. State in two or three sentences how this course could be improved.

I'M DRAWING A BLANK HERE, THE COURSE WAS PERFECT. less algebra review The MML tests and homework assignments, while relevant to the subject taught in class, didn't quite get me ready for the more difficult assignments the professor presented himself. Possibly having a specialized t.a. at each campus that is familiar with the coursework. Manoas tutors through L.A.C were unfamiliar with the work.

a challenging course that helped give me an understanding of who I am.

This course could be improved if the Professor could take initiative to see how a student is doing and help them in any way. I found Professor Wolf to be a little intimidating so there were times where I would refrain myself from asking questions because of the fear of disappointment from him. Also, I felt that getting help from the professor was limited because of the other classes that also needed his help within the classroom. remove computer based math homework.

This class overall is a really great class. My grade does not accurately represent my performance. I could do much better but because of the struggles I'm going through it's hard to keep a balance within my life's schedule. If I had the time, my grade would be much more better.

The course was pretty much based on the own students learning style. We needed to be independent in reading the material on our own and must ask question if needed. Overall a lecture could have helped with understanding the material.

The course could be improved if course lectures were available. But then again, the web has most of these resources I can go find on my own.

1. My overall evaluation of this course is...

Well structured and offers many chances to improve unfavorable grades. Great course and Mr. Wolf is always willing to help with any questions we may have. This course was helpful I think. I enjoyed the group exercises in class. This class was really beneficial, as I was able to maintain most of the coursework compared to many other courses. I thought this class was very informative. The only problem is that we always had to do group work and less of individual assignment instead. Other than that the course was great. Keep up the good work. I really enjoyed taking the class. I learned a lot and was even able to retain most of the knowledge and apply them. There was a lot of homework, but wasn't too overwhelming as long as you kept up. The assignments were helpful with applying what we've learned. The teacher knew the material very well, and had a lot of availability outside of class for questions. There were a lot of different resources (instructor, text book, CourseCompass/My Math Lab, & Laulima). I like how the course was an in-class course so you had the lectures and help from a live teacher (compared to that of online courses) but also used the computer for Derive and CourseCompass. And I liked how the teacher would lecture (and it wouldn't take up the entire class time) and just let us work out the problems and come to him if we needed help or go to our teammates that he assigned for us. I thought this course was rigorous overall. However, I do think that I learned a lot from my instructor during this math course. Whenever I had questions about the work or I had to make up work, our instructor was more than willing to assist us. I think that having My Math Lab as a resource is helpful because it slowly takes us through the steps of solving a problem. This course was hard, but much more fun than any math class I took in high school. challenging, but Mr Wolf's home-made problems are always interesting and fun. Good but there could be some improvement by double checking scores before posting grades as well as improved organization.

1. My overall evaluation of this course is...

Very fun and interesting. It is a great course A+ The instructor helps when we need and answers any questions we might have. it was a little confusing than how i learned it in high school. the teaching also was different than how i learned it and i think that's how come i struggled a little in this course. I think that the course was really good. I could move at my own pace and the teacher was there when I needed help. Less homework questions on wiley plus, but I liked the activities. It was a good class. The only thing is I easily got lost. Like a lot of the stuff we learned, I learned in high school but with a different approach. But I liked it. We should have more independent work during class time that way we can practice and make sure we grasp the idea individually. But other than that, GREAT JOB! is good. I definitely learned a lot in this course and the true meaning of time management. My limits were definitely pushed as i was forced to do my work in a fashionable manner. Overall, I liked this class. Good. Explanations are thorough and classtime is given to complete several works. It was a good class.
