| She offers to help to give advice for the papers that are assigned and gives really good feed back. |
| She was very in-tuned to what the students felt on all subjects in the course and was excited to hear the personal opinions of all the students even when their weren't any. I believe that she had a genuine care for all of the students in the class. |

She encourages student participation, and always tried to make a connect from whatever angle students came from. She's very interested in her students and respects everyones ideas. She likes us working in little groups to help each other with the concepts. |
| I loved her lectures, they were never boring, she always had interesting facts and great ways to stir up the brain. I am a vivid learner, but her lecturing style paints a good picture for you and makes it easy to learn. I learned so much from her class. |
| I like that she directly engaged the students often and frequently asked what we thought about the
material or a concept. I did not like how much the papers we had to write involved creative/story
writing. It was frustrating for me to write the papers because I can apply the theories and
perspectives to the situations given to me very well; but, what I have a hard time with is creatively
producing a story or writing a story about myself well. I did not like that my grade depended on my
ability, or lack thereof, to do that when I didn't feel it was necessary in showing my understanding
of the material. I DID like however, that the papers were worth only a fraction of the points that the
tests were worth. |

She presents the material in a way that meets each students level understanding. I particularly liked the way she was able to call on her magnificent sense of humor towards making what might otherwise be a more technical presentation into an extremely enjoyable experience. |

| Really funny...love the humor |
| She was very humorous at times which made the information easier to learn and the allowance of group work really allowed me to grasp alot of the information and get some ideas from other students as well. She often helped the class work together to pull all of our ideas together to the main explanation of the material. |

| My first intention was to take psychology 100 this semester. While at student services I found out it was full. The student advisor suggested I take Sociology 100 with Kathleen French, and informed me Ms. French was the reason she was switching to a sociology minor at UH. So it is interesting that Kathleen French was recommended to me as a teacher. I now look forward to recommending her to anyone interested in one of her classes. |
