15. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?

I liked the videos that were shown in class. It really helps get the point of the subject being taught to be understood. I found that doing group work activities also helped me throughout the course. I liked listening to Professor Brekke lecture on sociological theories and concepts. The best aspects of the course, in my opinion, is the interaction between student to teacher and student to student. Having to do group work assignments and having to take the tests online which were helpful for people who couldn't really make it. I like how the assignments are all due within the end of each month. If assignments were due weekly, I think it would be stressful. It has given us a lot of time to work on the assignment and allows us to understand it better. Also by allowing to do this, it doesn't cause any conflict and stress that might come between with other courses assignments. But then again, the student also must not take advantage of it. I also like how most assignments and examples are relatable to the real world or at least in Hawaii news. It's interesting. I liked that there were no surprises or changes to when each assignment was due. Also that we're able to completely it on our own time in a well-given amount of time. I liked the way the course was set up in blocks so we had a chance to really take our time to learn the material and not rush through a new topic every week. Because this was an online class, very rare do we get the chance to interact and communicate with other students in the class. Professor Brekke gave us the chance and also encouraged us to interact with one another and made ways where we can speak to others as well. I like that all due dates were at once, it made it easy for me to do my homework at my convenience. The study guides were also very helpful. How assignments were broken up into parts, allowed me to stay on top of my work. I liked the forums and interacting with one another constantly. - The amount of time given to read and take the exams I liked the forums alot!!! :) The resources and study guides. The amount of time given to complete forums. I really like the fact that we got to complete assignments at our own pace by a certain date, rather than have something due every week. I liked the Final Project because it helped me open another way to present projects and it was fun to do. Where we were put into teams to interact with one another. It was effective and got us to see what others opinions were and how they felt on the subjects we looked at. resources were provided The distribution of assignments. Some times it's hard to balance out the work load from all your classes, but this class spread assignments out for me so the stress load wasn't bad at all this semester. I liked that you were able to do assignments on your own time. I am not a big fan of forums however, Professor Brekke made them very interesting, because of such student interaction was enlightening. The group posts vice the whole class. I liked how each assignment was fairly different from the last and it wasn't the same all the time. The overall course about sociology is very interesting. I liked the statistics and the forums were fun too. I liked having a team and viewing other perspectives. I love that Eunice Brekke included videos with her assignments to grasp more understanding to the lesson since our classes were online. I enjoyed interacting with my teammates. Everything was discussed on the syllabus. The organization of the tests that was given. I like how this class have different discussion posts related to several chapter, which gives each individual to think and write about his/her opinion. that it was all very self explanatory I thought the topics were chosen well and showed numerous aspects about sociology seen in everyday life. I loved the class discussions and group work. I liked how we worked in groups for somethings in the class. The team work. The group woek helped a lot.

16. Which aspects of the course did you like least?

I can't really say that I liked anything the least, due to not having a reason to. Everything was well thought out and applied well. I disliked the amount of group work given. No comment None None. N/A Nothing in mind. N/a Final project. I enjoyed everything. N/A Test :( Had a little trouble with voicethread but I made it through. There wasn't really anything I didn't like. n/a workload was little too much The project, it's something I've never worked with before. That an exam is due on the weekend following Thanksgiving. Hmmm....for me I really enjoyed this course! So I guess there were none! I didn't like how alot of the assignments seemed cramped together, I got confused on what chapters we had to read with what forum. What i did not like was the amount of reading involved. it was hard to keep up with the amount of chapters expected. Doesn't apply Using Laulima for posting is never a pleasant experience. I would prefer to use a better forum for discussion. I just didn't like that one of the tests and forums was due on the sunday after thanksgiving. It would have helped if she sent out a reminder notice before thanksgiving that the test and forums were due that sunday. I completely forgot about it. I think sometimes the discussion posts were graded critically. I thought that the online presentation at the end wasn't very well organized and many students had difficulty either uploading to the software or commenting on other students. I've never been much of a fan for exams to gauge the competency of students regarding the course work. I wish we could have switched our groups up to get to know everyone in the class. There were two finals. A project and a test. I rather have just one of those.

I had fun in learning this subject. I'd like to thank Professor Brekke for keeping class interesting and educational at the same time. Also showing that she genuinely care about her students and the course she is instructing. I would strongly recommend this course to others and I am interested in taking more classes that are taught by Professor Brekke. N/A Great semester!! Thank you for all your help! I would recommend people to take this class! She is a nice Professor I loved the class! Learned a lot about the course. Also, Ms. Brekke replies quickly when emailed which is great. Thank you Professor Brekke. Have a good winter break. Overall this course was very interesting. Eunice Brekke gives great help and assistance to students to help study for our exams. Very clear and well presented. None. It is extremely evident that the person has thorough knowledge and a passion for this subject. Her interest and enthusiasm really helped to draw in the students and keep us engaged.
