13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
She always tries us to practice and guess the answers by ourselves. I think it is really good for us. And she always smiles!!
Being that she had to learn English she understands how hard it is to learn a second language and in return knows how to teach language very efficiently. She is very understanding and caring for her students. She makes the class fun and makes for a great learning atmosphere.
Really makes a student wanna learn korean.
Pushing us to strive for the best.
When students ask some questions to her, she take much her time and help us.
She knew that Korean is a very complicated and different language, therefore, she would provide examples (in English and Japanese) of how certain grammer parts were similar to our own understood language. Also, she could tell when things were hard to understand and would encourage us by saying "That's why we start practicing now; it is not easy to understand."
She is funny and very knowledgeable. She doesn't try to dumb down the subject so everyone can understand.
Soo Ah Yuen's major strengths as a teacher was that she wasn't hesitant to get to know her students. If they needed help, she reassured them that they could ask her for help.
She explain things clearly and easy for us to understand.
She's been trying to teach us many things about Korea such as history, language, and custom.
She is a caring and considerate teacher. She will accept late homework which I really appreciate, and she is understanding of extenuating circumstances that might hinder some students progress.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Not much
No changes.
No, I do not have.
Perhaps not so many quizzes and more practicing speaking in class.
none
I have no changes to suggest to Soo Ah Yuen.
Nothing
She was so fast to move forward in class so it was hard to follow her.
Nothing. But perhaps if she could direct us to sites where we could have penpals from Korea.. That would be neat.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
She told us when she was available for meeting. she allowed us to turn in homework a little late so that we wouldn't lose points and so we practiced more. She is very patient with us and Understanding.
Talking really loudly
By asking questions.
She always teach clealy as much as she can.
She would always ask if we had any questions in a nice way and when things were hard for us, she would stop and say things like "It is hard, huh? A little complicated."
There were many japanese students so she would explain things in japanese and english so everyone could understand.
Soo Ah Yuen showed concern for student by suggesting that if they needed help in a subject, all they had to do was ask her.
she encourages us to get our missing work turned in.
One of the students in our classroom had family obligations, and Mrs. Yuen was very caring and inquiring of her. And she asked if I was ok after I was in a fender bender.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, because she is a great teacher. she is funny and easy to Learn from. she provides a great atmosphere for her students and teaches in a way so that we understand the material fully. She really wants to see us speaking Korean and emphasizes on speaking which I think is great and how language should be taught.
Yeah, shes intense. So, its not so bad.
Yes, because everyone can learn from her and so much more.
Yes I do, because she is really great teacher, and her class is really helpful.
Yes I would because, although she demands very much, the things that were taught to us were very useful. Either an A or B student would be able to survive in Korea after finishing this class.
Yes of course
I would recommend Soo Ah Yuen to students because, not only is she a family friend, she is very caring and friendly to students new to the Korean language, eager to show the Korean culture to them.
yes because she explain things in a clear and easy way.
If she gets slower to teach I would recommend.
I would recommend my teacher to other students because she is kind and good at teaching Korean. I like that we learn to read Korean right away, and that we watch short clips containing Korean speaking and/or culture.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
N/A
Soo Ah is like a grandmother to her students. She cares that we learn all of the content, and is willing to meet students outside of class if they need help with anything.
I LIKE HER WAY TO TEACH KOREAN. EASY TO UNDERSTAND FOR ME.
She Always reminding students of her office hours and asking for students' opinions.
She would constantly ask us students if we were confused or not and if we were she'd take her time to teach the lesson thoroughly for us to understand.
She would ask about why homework isn't getting completed, and makes sure the students feel like they can go to her for help outside of class.
email when she was ill, make sure we understood topics covered and opened herself up to questioning at any time
She always asked how a person was doing and how our weekends were. Also a student had surgery during this semester and she showed concern about his health
When a question or concern was asked about Korean, She explained with a clear and accurate answer.
She ask us questions if we understood on what is being covered. She emails us back at the end of the day if we needed extra help on the lesson or we missed anything. She notifies us ahead of time if she won't be available for her office hours, but she is usually in her office if you are having a hard time with things.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
She is a really good teacher. Her class was interesting.
I would recommend Soo Ah because of the close relationship I developed with her as a teacher, and her willingness to help me understand things that I was having trouble with outside of class.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
everything was organized.
She is a kind woman and really tries to encourage all her students to participate in class.
She is funny, so I had interesting time during class.
knowledge of language and linguistics. being able to break down information and explain.
She uses personal experiences as examples.
Teacher is great at teaching. Made us understand the lessons currently on and gives us time to soak it all in before moving on. In other words, He does move on until we all get it. She even ask if we have any other questions so we can understand it more. Having tutors in class was an awesome idea. They were very helpful and tells us if we spelt something wrong or if our grammar is off.
Since she speaks Japanese well, she improves understanding of Japanese students and it is very helpful:)
One of her strengths as a teacher is that she encourages us to participate in class activities and she also puts us in groups when we do classwork. She also brought in tutors from the upper Korean class to help us out and I must say that they are also helpful. Another strength of hers is assigning homework everyday but its not so bad.
Teaching a diverse ethnic background of students regardless if they couldn't speak English as a primary language. Helping students and correcting students when pronouncing and spelling Korean wrong.
Sense of humor and passion for students to know korean culture
I like her smile. Also her Japanese skills are high.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
none
The course did not follow the syllabus schedule we were given at the beginning of the semester. For the first half of the semester, we were going at a slow learning pace. We then were pushed to speed up our pace, and it was too fast. We missed out on learning a lot of vocabulary and grammar. I highly recommend that the course follows the syllabus schedule. Exams were scheduled as the semester went along, and they usually were set right before the weekend (Thursday) to happen right after the weekend (Monday). These unexpected exam announcements caused much stress to me, since I might have already had a busy weekend scheduled and now would have an exam to study for. With a set schedule that the course followed, students could know exactly when the exams were coming up, and adjust their schedules and time manage for it. Pop quizzes were also given at unexpected times, so it was necessary to study everything we learned from the previous lecture. However, we were sometimes told to study too much for our quiz the following day, which caused the students some stress.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
very good.
She treats everybody fairly.
asking questions.
Ask students if they had any questions. If a student had a question she wouldn't rush to explain. So she took her time explaining till the student understood thoroughly.
Ask us questions and gives us the time to ask questions back if we don't get it. She is also available during non-class time and provides us the time to see her if we needed extra help. She is also really good at replying emails. That's the kind of teacher I like when they respond right away.
She always makes sure that we understand or not, she teaches only in front of the class but also goes around the class and checks one by one whats going on.
Besides giving homework everyday, she also gives class quizzes and tests to see if we know the material well. She also gives oral exams to show her that we are capable of conversing in Korean. She also encourages us to make class fun and exciting, which is why class is always filled with laughter and optimism.
When a question was asked by the student, Prof.Yuen answered the question efficiently and promptly with knowledge. Correcting students on pronunciation and spelling if the student was wrong.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes. she is very nice to teacher.
Yes really recommend. Her tmethod of teaching is easy to understand. She also knowes how to speak English, so I recommend to Japanese students as well.
Yes. Knows area very well and knows how to teach.
Yes, She's funny and very laid back giving a very comfortable atmosphere to learn.
Yes!! Her class was easy and hard at the same time. Challenging but was fun. I'd recommend this class to anyone who wants to take korean class.
Yes. She is a nice professor. Class is fun!
I would recommend her because her class stands out because when we finish homework, we have to put stamps on a sheet of paper and having a minimum of 70 stamps is part of our grade. She also brought in tutors from her upper Korean to make class less difficult. Taking notes is highly suggested because she gives examples duting lecture. Since her class activities involves the entire class, everyone will eventually get to know each other to make class less awkward. Finally, students will learn a lot about the Korean language.
Yes, because she teaches the class with knowledgeable information pertaining to not only the Korean culture, but also the language as well.
Yes the class was very fun and lively the textbook and workbook were perfect supplements she encouraged students to interact with each other to reinforce grammar
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

I love her joies, and funny thing.
Kamsahamnida Sonsaengnim... I really enjoyed taking your class and Hopefully you'll be teaching 102 next semester so I can have you as my teacher again. Your class was really fun to take. I really like our field trip to korean restaurant. It was amazing. Korean food is really good.
I wish I could continue to take KOR class up to 102! I will learn Korean by myself!
This the first time I took a college level language class and I must say that I have had my ups and downs. I did show signs of struggle and little frustration but it doesn't mean that I'm not trying my best. I'm planning to take KOR 102 but not at KCC. Instead, I'm taking it at HCC and the skills I learned in this class will definitely help in KOR 102. This class is really interesting and different from my 4 other classes. Thank you very much!!
Awesome Professor.
she was a very enjoyable teacher and her sense of humor is fun

Take a more elementary approach, maybe better pictures, diagrams etc. because it is hard to understand when you rush into it. Also be more organized, many time it sounded like she didn't know what she was trying to teach us.
More classroom interaction. word and grammer exercises done within the classroom with fellow classmates would help. More explanation and help to understand certain grammar points rather than just a lecture describing the material and then assigning homework.
none
her explanations could be better
None.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
really really well
She starts off every class by asking about what we're doing and what we're up too.
She would talk to us if our grades started to fall behind and encourage us to pull through.
She takes the time to meet after class if there were any help. She is very fair in her assignments.
always checked on us
by letting do extra credit to help our grades
She paired students who were more knowledgeable in the language with those who were not. This helped to make sure all students would interact and gain a better understanding.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes
Only if you are really quick to learn. And i mean really quick.
Yes, very knowledgeable and knows the language fluently.
Yes, she is an excellent teacher. There is a lot to learn from this class.
Yes I would.
yes she teaches fundamentals well
yes she is a nice teacher with a lot of knowledge
Yes, she is willing to work with students if they seek her help.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Would take another course by her.
I really liked my 2 years of having her as my Korean teacher because even though I was a procrastinator in her class, she still showed me to try my best.
Thank you for teaching!
nice lady
She was very supportive of my decision to convert her course into an honors course, and it gave me a great opportunity to conduct research and learn a much more about my culture.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Knowledge of the Subject
VERY TECHNICALL AND KNOWLEGDEABLE. ENCOURAGED GOOD AND POSITIVE BEHAVIOR AND INTEREST IN LEARNING NEW THINGS. STAYED RELEVENT THROUGHOUT COURSE...IE NEWS..
Experience. Lessons about the culture (e.g. Chuseok) were interesting and helped to increase interest in the subject matter. She has a great sense of humor.
I thought she understood the subject matter well.
Very knowledgeable.
she obviously knows korean very well. she goes at a slow pace, spends a whole class to learn one concept.
She gave us a lot of examples, and shared a lot about Korean culture. She made interaction activities for us to practice with each other, that was good.
she knows the language. she uses powerpoint.
Knows the subject well because she is from Korea.
Knowledgeable of the subject.
wide and experienced knowledge in her class
she knew the subject matter
She knows the information very well.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
less pop quiz
UMMMMMMM GO THROUGH THE FIRST CHAPTERS OF WORKBOOK TO HAVE NEW STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE CONSONANT AND VOWEL PLACEMENT AND ALSO PRONOUNCATION...ITLL ENHANCE READING AND WRITING BASICS.
I was hoping that she would've explained certain areas better. The homework was very sporadic and unpredictable. Maybe more of a consistent approach to assigning homework.
Set a better pace. If we go too fast, we're not as likely to remember the material.
the slow pace is boring and that much review isn't needed for one concept. try to listen to students questions better.
Clearer Syllabus. We got two syllabus but both weren't really followed and that made it difficult to keep up. Also she goes through things too quickly and unorganized, making it difficult to understand what she is talking about.
be more organized, go at the pace of the class, be a little more organized, and i feel that sometimes shes a little biased when it comes to ORAL EXAMS. she probably isn't biased but the reason for points being deducted has to be more clear to students so they don't feel this way.
get a bit more organized
speak more clearly, write better examples, and make the font on the power points better so everyone can see
The way she explains some of the criteria could be bettered. At times i had a hard time understanding the information she was explaining. I can understand that a 101 level foreign level class is a beginners level. But the class seemed very accelerated.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
N/A
CHECK UP ON STUDENTS FEEL OF THE CLASS.
She had native Korean speakers come to every class to help us. I was impressed with that. She also had plans to have them hang out in the cafeteria to help us outside of class. I was very impressed with that.
She was good at asking her students about how they're faring on a daily basis. Showed genuine interest in the lives of her students.
She gave us many opportunities to earn points, and was not against changing the plan to accommodate us if we weren't ready to take a quiz.
asked for questions a lot.
She encouraged us to see her in her office, and ask question. Also set up for us to have tutors if we needed help.
she told the students if we were too far behind, to come and speak with her personally.
She encouraged us to think for ourselves whenever we made a mistake.
Offers many alternatives to help.
she allows make up exams except the final. very good.
she gave chances for extra credit to students. She gave some leeway to students that have a harder time in class but does not compromise teaching them.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, very fun and interesting class
YESSSSSSSSSSS THE QUIZZES AREN'T MY FAVORITE PART BUT THEY MAKE US KEEP UP WITH THE COURSE,
Yes, she teaches the subject fairly well.
Yes, she is a caring instructor who wants her students to succeed.
no, she's unclear a lot.. her tests are hard.. it's hard to be prepared for pop quizzes because she never tells you what will be on it.. homework is almost half your grade.
Only for students who are not taking a lot of other hard courses and also working. Taking her class with other rigorous classes will just stress you out because you need to take extra time to organize the lessons yourself.
yes. she's the only teacher teaching korean 101 and shes good.
Depends if you can handle a full Korean teacher.
yes if she is able to speak more clearly, no if she keeps doing the same things over and over and if she is incoherent
possible slow the course down. It seems like it is to accelerated for First time speaking foreign language for any student. I was able to keep up with her because i was semi-proficient in the language. But i could imagine how difficult it would be for someone that is just introduced to the language.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

THANKYOU
She provided a fun atmosphere to learn in.
Good effort in trying to make the course fun.
she's a really good and nice person. she definitely cares. she tries to get everyone to come to class everyday.
Overall a nice professor.
nice lady just needs to learn more english
She is a very kind teacher. I enjoyed how she gave extra credit chances throughout the whole year and that we could present anything that we wanted to that was related with Korean. To break it down grammar wise i have learned a lot from her and i feel that i improved my writing skills greatly.

I didn't care much for the text book. I found it to be confusing/unhelpful for the most part. It didn't feel as if it was organized clearly. Also, the grammar/diction of the parts written in English made it seem as if the book was written more for Korean students learning English than English speaking students learning Korean.
Very nice instructor who
grading style seems unfair. two students wrote the same answer, one got half credit, the other got full marks. i wrote "course" as a definition for a vocab word, got marked wrong, looked in the book for the answer and it was listed as "course/class". i dont understand? i was allowed to turn in late homework, but another student wasn't. allows some students to take quizzes late, and doesn't let others. it all just seems unfair.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Professor Yuen's strengths as a teacher is that she knows the subject she teaches VERY well. Also, if we had any questions, there is no hesitation that she knows the correct answer.
Shes very good at Korean and knows the course very well. Shes willing to help if you need.
She taught us throughgout many activities. To demonstorate new grammers makes us easy to understand.
Very friendly, kind, and fair on the assignments.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
None whatsoever! She is a great professor and I will miss her dearly!
Just maybe to explain some of the harder things a little clearer. I had some difficulty doing some stuff because we didnt spend enough time on the material.
Explain more on sections in the chapters to do more practice in understanding what we are taught.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
Professor Yuen is always there if we need help. She also shows concern whenever we do not do well so that shows that she really cares about her students and want the best for them.
She told us she was willing to help, we just had to ask her.
She tried to do quiz everyday to identify wether we understand or not.
Ask where are homework was.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Of course, she is a great professor and person overall! Future students will enjoy her class.
Yes, she knows the course material very well and if your just taking basics, she will help.
She taught me very kindly even if I'm a internatinal student.
I would recommend if you have the drive to learn Korean. It is hard if you don't know what you are doing especially for the tests.
totally yes
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
It was such a pleasure to be in her class for two semesters. She was not only a professor to us but also a mother figure. She really cared about us and I will miss her when I take the higher Korean level classes!
none
the lecture lunch was great!

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
always being available and checking in with students on how they are doing
Always checked up with the students having difficulty. Going out of her way to make sure that we were all healthy & not getting sick.
When she sees us not looking well she would always ask us how we are doing.
She wants us to do well. She is concerned when we are studying a lot.
She worried alot about our well being and stress levels. She would talk to us to get feedback on how to make class more fun, or if anything could be improved.
She always shows more concern than is required. She is a mother figure.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes I would recommend, very good professor and you learn alot
Yes. Kim ì? ì??ë?? is a really good teacher. She keeps students wanting to learn more. Very encouraging. The class was a little hard, but it was all worth it. Not many teachers can push students hard from the beginning all the way to the end. She doesn't give up on her students.
Yes, she is a very nice teacher.
Yes, she is caring and a good teacher. She knows the material and she wants her students to succeed.
Yes, she is strict but a good teacher. She makes you study hard and she is really funny so class in always interesting. :)
Yes, once you get used to her accent she is an excellent teacher who knows alot about her subject.
Yes. They will learn the subject with her teaching, if they apply themselves.
Yes, because she is a great teacher to learn from.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
She was one of my hardest but favorite teachers. I have never had a teacher who believed so much in her students and tried hard to get them all to the final destination. I really enjoyed this class.
ì? ì??ë??, ë??무 ê°?ì?¬í?©ë??ë?¤~!!! ^^
I am glad I had her for this class.
It was great getting to know her and having her as my first foreign language teacher.

class interaction
She teaches kindly. And she uses activities to deepen our understanding about grammar.
She was a fun teacher to learn and helped us know Korean well.
She made the material easy to understand.
She knows the course material very well and seems to enjoy teaching the students the Korean language.
She knows the subject she is teaching very well and can connects well with students.
She obviously knows the subject matter very well, and it's both interesting and a surprise when she adds some Japanese references/examples/comparisons in her lessons.
she knows the subject well.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
class is too short
None
I have no suggestions for her teaching style.
Less Pop quizzes. Haha.
None she is a great professor!
Be more available out of class, especially through e-mail. And to possibly gain more knowledge on how to work on a mac/pc/whatever she uses.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
n/a
Reminded us to practice outside of class more.
She would have the students who were falling behind set up appointments with the student teacher for extra help.
She wanted us all to participate in class discussions and do well for ourselves.
She encourages class participation and students to study.
She always gave a second chance to students in terms of taking test and submitting homework.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes. class was fun.
Yes, because she tries to teaches intelligibly.
Yes, she's a teacher that makes Korean easy to understand.
yes I would. I plan on taking her class next semester if i pass.
Yes. If your taking Korean class, she is the one to take it from.
Yes she is a good professor and she makes her class atmosphere very welcoming for students.
There really was only one Korean (I) teacher for me to choose from, but I think she was okay, and I did learn some things, so yes, I suppose I would recommend her.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

There should be more Korean courses; only one Elementary I course was offered this semester, and it was at an inconvenient time for me. I would have liked that there were more classes to choose from, as I noticed there would be next (fall) semester--on the other hand, I also noticed that Elementary II had less classes offered...

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
She makes the class very entertaining and fun to be in.
I think her strengths as a teacher is her overall teaching ability because she explains and asks us individually if we understand the material and a lot of pop quiz's.
She connects with the students on different level.
She knows the subject very well. She also teaches Korean in a fun way for us to understand.
Friendly Nice Funny Caring
adding humor to her lectures and if the students does not understand the material she teaches it in a different way for us to learn. very creative (:
She taught us Korean and she give many examples on how to learn the grammar items and the sentence structures. She also helped us by giving us examples to follow and she helped us if we needed help. She encouraged us to help each other to learn Korean and it helps if you study with friends so you can stay motivated and so you can see what you guys have to work on. She also encouraged us to practice reading in class and outside of class. The pop quizzes also helped to see what we need to study. She also showed us examples from the textbook, through Korean drama clips to hear how words are said, and we also had teacher assistants to help us.
She can explain lessons in a manner that's easily understandable. If something needed to be explained more, all the students had to do was ask. Also Professor Soo Ah Yuen was open to any ideals that would help the class learn, whether it be projects or games.
She's a funny teacher who tries to make the class fun. Knows her subject very well.
She's fun and explains things well.
sometimes I was not able to understand, but she can japanese so she held me.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Come to class early as early as she can. But she does come in on time and 1 or 2 minutes late at times.
I would not change anything because I believe I have learned many things and she makes class interesting.
Nothing.
nothing. she should not change, because she is very enjoyable to have as a teacher.
I don't have any suggestions.
The only suggestion I would make is that Professor Soo Ah Yuen should go over her exams after they are graded. This would help students understand what they did wrong and how they can fix it.
less pop quizzes.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
Ask why students study or do their homework, and show a little fear into the students about doing their studying outside of class.
She always has concerns for everyone because I believe she would be happy if we all put in a lot of effort to get an A in her class so therefore she asks everyone if they understand and we do daily in class activities to work our brain. We also get scolded for coming to school late which of course is understandable but some teachers don't care and due to that I think she cares for us.
She would make sure every student understood the lesson.
Always helped us and showed examples and explained to us what we didn't understand.
Encouraging to try to come more often if they dont show up in like forever.
whenever a student is not doing great in class, she would encourage them to come to class more often, do extra credit or come to her office for help or ask the student helpers for help as well. very thoughtful teacher (:
Professor Yuen showed concern for her student by helping us if can questions on class work, homework, or what lessons from the textbook. She gave us examples on what was being covered in the textbook. There was also teacher assistants to help us if we had questions.
Many extra-credit opportunities were given if a student needed it. Also, she always asked if there were any questions about any lesson that she could address.
She's willing to give out extra credit for those who need it. She also has tutors in the class to help us with our Korean.
She'd make sure everyone understood and told us to set up study sessions with the T.A.'s if we needed extra help.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, she is very helpful when it comes to teaching Korean and she knows what she is talking about.
I would recommend her to all my friends because she is a good teacher to my understanding. I understand her material and she helps us through each chapter. Homework maybe a lot but it is the best way of learning.
Because she is very fun and can relate to your korean moms.
Yes it was very fun to learn Korean with her.

Yes because she is a sweet person and easy to get along with. She cares for her students.
Yes I would recommend her to students because she's a good teacher and she's fun.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
She is my favorite Korean teacher and maybe in KCC.
I think that overall she is a fair teacher and her requirements for class is acceptable. I can honestly say her class is one of my favorites so far and it is too bad she does not teach my next required class.
her teaching methods are very good and i hope she teaches korean classes 201 and 202 as well ):
She helped me learn Korean and it helped when I worked together with my classmates. Also the examples we went over class that involve practicing in Korean helped my learning.
18. Other comments:

Actually she is kind person and she know what she have to teach to students.

Kind and interesting.
Her enthusiasm for teaching Korean class.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Soo Ah Yuen should get more leadership.
I hope she deals with more various materials related to the class subjects
No more.
It would be much better, if she mention about the assignments more than once. Sometimes I forget what assignments we had so it would be helpful. Also I think the class is less organized compared to the importance of what we learn.
She needs to realize that some of the students were totally lost during this semester. Some of it was their fault (absent, tardy, not paying attention), however, I don't think that professor herself tried to help those who were lost and got behind.
i want her to have more passion to teach and have concern about students.
Could be more organized with syllabus that she made.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
She try always to understand us.

Remember individuals
She goes over stuff when we make many mistakes. Also saids that she doesn't feel good if we are doing bad :)
The instructor would make sure we asked for extra help outside the class from the student helpers and gave opportunities to make up for lost points.

She often gave us extensions on deadlines, with numerous extra credit opportunities when she saw that we were struggling. She tried her best to explain difficult areas of language to people who have had no prior experience.
Whenever I'd miss class, she would say something. Which to me, showed that she pays attention to who shows up for class.
