| Great teacher, teaches the material at a good pace with an understanding that not all students fully
understand the topics in class. Most night classes are not fun, but he makes the classes interesting
and when you miss a class you feel like you missed a lot. |

| Kumu Kuhio is a wonderful teacher! I very much enjoyed his positive energy that he brings to every lecture. He is very understanding of his students' circumstances and goes way out of his way to accommodate everyone. I am from Hawaii and I had not taken my HAP credit yet, but I am so, so glad that I chose this course to fulfill it because I learned vital information about the occupation of Hawaii. I had studied it in middle school and high school here, but never with the fine details I learned in this class, and I recommend it to anyone from our Hawaii Nei because it is important to understand the power dynamic between the federal government and local sovereignty movements, and also to realize the terrible things that went down in order for us to be a part of the U.S. Kuhio has so much enthusiasm for every class and students are constantly laughing along with him while simultaneously learning important concepts, and to be able to add humor to your teaching style without losing content is a sign of a great teacher in my opinion. |
