13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

This class has expanded my knowledge and interest in different genres of dance. It built up my passion for dance even more and gave me motivation to expand my horizons and do more in the entertainment business. It was so much fun and Marylei is a great teacher. She's funny, motivational, professional, and I look forward to continue working with her. I really loved learning how to build strngth and balance by the warm-up routines. Then, being able to incorporate them into the dance routines was an added bonus.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

Well I know this is an introduction course, but it wouldv've been great to be worked a little harder with disciplines like stretching. But I understand it was an introduction course so I can't wait to take it to the next level with Marylei!! I think it would be really helpful to try to continue focusing on the balance/stretch/warm-up for a longer period of time "throughout" the whole semester- before the dance routines and practice start. Also, maybe try to keep the number of dance routines down to like one or two so they can be learned fully from start to finish and get polished along the way. i think there needs to be more classes like this offered

Marylei is the coolest teacher and I am so glad our college brought in a dance class. I think a program for performing arts will be great to have at our college with all the talent this town has to offer. I hope this is a possiblitiy for the future. I loved the energy brought to class every day! Even though I was only able to participate in a limited physical capacity (smile), I really enjoyed being a part of what Marylei had to offer! I truly believe this was a successful addition to the curriculum this semester and hope that it continues to grow. Marylei is motivated and passionate about her teaching and that is an invaluable trait for an instructor to pass to her students! Thank you so much Marylei!
