13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

concern for students, ability to make you feel at ease and comfortable. encouragement to do well and excel. great teacher! Prof. Jaworowski's has alot of strengths as a teachear. She communicates effectively with students, she is organized with her course plan, & always on time for class. This course is definitely right for her to teach because she has alot of knowledge of it. Energetic and creative in ways of presenting information! -Knew the subject well -Were able to answer student's questions -Explains a subject clearly and gives examples -Gave a reasonable amount of time for assignments and other tasks -Balances the amount of work; does not give TOO much work for the students -Available whenever needed; through email or office meetings -Good teaching skills: creates powerpoints, shows videos, etc for students with different learning techniques She teached many important informantion about law that could be useful for students in the future Makes learning fun and creative through great power point presentations, activities and videos. Her strengths were in the lessons she taught us every week, her teaching method using videos, video power points, and different readings. She also knew about the subjects that she taught very well. I think a strength would be your excellent writing. In the powerpoints I pretty much just read it on my own and partly listen to it because it is a bit monotonous toned.. Makes me loose interest, but thatʻs just me. I donʻt like to listen to radio talkers either. I really liked your writing and grammar though, I could learn a lot from it to better my own writing. Very organized and such a great teacher. I really enjoyed her class. She also made sure that everyone participated in class discussions by making sure everyone responds to at least one post. Able to present complicated material in clear, easy to understand way. Ability to engage students in an online class. She's very pleasant and helpful. She is very knowledgable about this class. Communicates great with students, took the time/effort to get all students involved and interested in course material! She is a teacher that truly cares for all of her students She organizes the class content very well so that the goals are clear. She does not expect you to learn information by heart but make up your mind on issues and learn that way. Her well-known knowledge of all the material that she covered in this course is her major strengths. That made me confident in being in this course. As a teacher, especially in an online course, is her quick to responses to questions or concerns as well as her style of personalized comments via pdf on our work or video. This made it easier for me as a student to understand what areas of my work needed to be addressed. Very organized. She made me feel like she cared about each and everyone of her students. Susan Jaworowski's major strengths as a teacher is she is knowledgeable in the subject matter. This class is an online class. Her lessons were well prepared; the "lecture" (presentation), assignment and discussion portions were coordinated and if I paid attention to the presentation, many times I was able to participate in the discussions. Some of the assignments were challenging where I needed to access outside info to complete assignments. I appreciate this as I want to be challenged as a student.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

n/a I wouldn't suggest any changes to her because I like the way she teaches and I really do enjoy going to her class eventhough I am just a beginner in law. -None No changes are necessary. She's a great teacher. I would suggest, I guess to lighten up the lectures. Some lectures Iʻve had on online classes were not as.. well like I said, but I think every lecture was the same with the same voice just different words. I think if you brighten up the lectures, throw in a few jokes, do some relations to real life and just talk rather than just tell everything straight it would be more catching and more for something to tune in. Everything was great in her class. There's nothing I can think of that I would change. The time needed to watch the lectures and readings varied a lot each week. It would be nice if it would be somewhat evened out, so I could more easily plan how much time I will need for each week. none n/a N/A

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Encouraged us to do well in her course. and if we needed anything of her in regards to the course then feel free to see her after class or office hrs. She helps students if they have any confusions with anything, and she frequently ask students if they have any questions. She also invites her students to her office if they want to talk to her about anything regarding a particular topic or the class in general. Made personal attempts to memorize students names. Has a very open door policy and shows genuine concern. Susan does show concern for students she would offer student to go to her office when they need help and that when her office hour changed she would tell everyone at the beginner of class Always open to questions and feedback She showed concern for her students by getting back to received e-mails that held important questions that needed tending to. I think you showed a lot of concern. Whenever I needed a response you submitted on promptly and efficiently. I liked that because there were many teachers that wouldnʻt let me do anything to make up a test or something like that. I liked you concern for each student and understand that some students just make simple mistakes that can always be fixed. She promptly responded to emails and private messages on laulima. She was always prompt in responding to students concerns. And she gave really good feedback on our assignments so we could improve for the next. encouraging students to participate in the class discussion. responded quickly to questions, graded material ALWAYS on time, was involved herself in discussion boards with other students. Professor Jaworowski expressed concern in her comments and responses to our work as well as engagin in our discussions boards versus just looking to see what we post. She responded to emails. When she wrote her discussion debriefs she named some of the students that commented on something interesting, or worth mentioning. It was nice to see my name in her debriefs every once in a while. At the end of the week's discussion, Susan including comments from students that she thought were "good" as she wrote general comments to the class. She gave reminders on when the major assignments were due which I appreciated because with my own daily work and family activities, there were a couple of time when I overlooked the due date but was able to complete the assignment on time because of her reminders. Susan went the extra mile in order for me to succeed in the class.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

yes! knows the subject and makes you feel at ease. always encouraging. Yes, i would reccommend other students to take her class because she is a great teacher and she makes this law course both interesting and fun. Absolutely! Professor J is fun, attention grabbing, kind, and extremely knowledgeable! Definitely. She's a great teacher and really cares for her students. Learning is really interesting with Prof. J and you will definitely know A LOT more information after this class. Yes, very dynamic teacher. You can see she enjoys teaching. Yes I would because she not only teaches well to her online students, but she also offers her help outside of the classroom. She cares about how well her students are doing in her course and if her students need help or extra information she gives it to them. I would recommend you as a teacher for this course although I donʻt have any peers on the same path as I do but if I do come across friends wanting to be paralegals, I would definitely send you name by to enroll into this class. It really did teach me a lot because I came into this class with no knowledge whatsoever in paralegals. I would definitely recommend her to students! I would definitely recommend her, because her class is a great introduction to law. yes. she is smart. Most definitely. Yes, most well structured online class I've taken so far. Definitely!!!! Because she has the knowledge, background, education and experience in this field, I would HIGHLY recommend this course. Its nothing better than to learn from someone who know's their material. I would recommend her class to other because it is very organized, it concise and has a variety of learning tools such as videos, powerpoints and reading versus just readings. It is more engaging. Yes, great teacher, and you will learn a lot of very useful information. Yes, I would recommend Susan to students because it appears she knows the subjects/topics she presents and she appears to show genuine concern that students succeed in their learning. Yes. She is very passionate about the subject matter and teaches it in a fun and informative way

17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

To be honest, she is one of the proffesors that i never hesitate to talk to if I have any questons or concerns. I like the way she teaches her students. She really helps her students when they don't understand a certain topic. Definitely a great resource of knowledge for anyone interested in the future legal profession. Her personality is cheerful and she presents the material in a way that is easy to learn. I really enjoyed the class and learned a great deal. Thank you for the awesome semester!! Excellent professor! The best one this semester :) great professor. She knows how to teach and learn a lot about law from this class. I really enjoyed the videos she uploaded. It made me feel that she was actually there to give a lecture. I thorougly enjoyed the course and appreciated that she was such an attentive professor. Layout of her class was easy to work with and did not confuse me. you do not see professors like prof j often!! She's great! N/A Great teacher.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

She makes the subject matter interesting and entertaining by adding humor to her classes. She explains things very well too. She knows whhat she's doing. She great at communicating instructions, and she's changed my thoughts about online classes. I work full time and online courses make it easy for me to accomplish my goals. I had a bad exp once, and she's changed it. She definitely is well versed in her ability to teach this course. She makes you feel very welcome in her class and readily answers your questions thoroughly and in a very short time after receiving it. She gives you assignments that test your skills and allows you to think for yourself. She is very cordial and she is readily available to contact when questions arise. She is a well of knowledge and readily makes that knowledge available to students. Prof J is extremely organized and made the online class interesting by teaching through a variety of media. She brought what could have been a "text book" - 101 class into the real world with her personal videos of the judicial system in Honolulu to videos and articles from the real world that was directly linked to the subject matter each week. She knows how to use the internet will to communicate with students taking an online class. effective at explaining concepts and keeping constant contact with class. Her organize is very good and I have learned a lot! Prof. J is a great teacher and is very knowledgeable in her field. I hope to take more classes from her. 14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

None. None I think the course is great and is made easy to understand.I think that principles are well handled. There just needs to be more practice on Ethics rules and the knowledge of which one to use and why. It is a portion of the class that is very challenging and I still don't feel that I confidently know enough to feel comfortable. I still feel very inadequate in this area. none - I actually loved her writing assignments and would have like to do more of those. n/a n/a I have sent several emails for her. She gave me responses some of them but not all questions. None. Try to rewrite your quizzes, For an English major, I was really confounded with the way you worded some of your quiz questions. none

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Yes she did. She wanted us all to participate in the discussion boards and if anything needed further clarification, she was willing to help. She's replied to email quickly. She showed a lot of concern for the students in her prompt attention to your questions. She, also, had a lot of websites and provided a lot of pertinent and valuable course material in videos. On the websites, she gave a step by step analysis of how to use the site and the valuable information on that site. She presented important information and interviews with other paralegals. She is a very caring professor, who is constantly trying to make the course easier and make each student feel more comfortable around legal and paralegal processes. I consequently feel that I am a more knowledgable person now and I totally feel comfortable in most areas of the course study. She was extremely timely in her posts on the discussion board and with emails to the class. She was very prompt in returning graded assignments and provided so much explanation through her power points, quiz reviews... everything she provided was well done and well thought out. feedback on our discussion boards. constantly emailed the class and posted weekly reminders for quizzes and assignments. By helping each student succeed. She went out of her way to give extra work or aid to students who needed help or were lost in class. by putting a lot of effort into creating assignments in a similar way as how work would be received in a law firm.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes. She is a great professor! Most def! :) I would definitely recommend her to any student looking to learn some very valuable information. She is a very great professor and she helps you a lot. I especially enjoyed the practice of actually being able to do some paralegal work for a law firm. It was very inspiring to be able to do this. It test your abilities in the area. It brings you to a new height of learning. I definitely would. She is a great teacher. Because of Prof J I would also recommend the Paralegal program, she brought so much information about the profession and shed light on the role of paralegals. yes yes, see above. Yes, she is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Prof J is very knowledgeable and understanding person. yes - great prof.

17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

I love her teaching style. She gives a lot of work, but it is because she wants us to learn as much as possible. She's a great instructor. I thank her for the great things that I have learned. She is a very good teacher and she does her upmost to make you feel that you are comfortable in what you are doing and learning. She makes you aware of many things that you need to know and she makes sure that you totally understand and can use the course material to the best of my ability. She is a well of information and makes sure that she makes that information available to her students. I have taken online classes through the University of Phoenix which are amazingly organized and thorough. These private university online classes are absolutely professional and developed to ensure high levels of learning. Coming back to KCC, I found Prof J's online course equally well done and I was extremely impressed and so thankful I can receive this high level of learning at KCC. It was a pleasure having her as my teacher for my first law courses. n/a

There are not too many more things that I can say about this remarkable teacher. She is just the best and she makes you feel like an accomplished student when it comes to aspects of law. She makes you feel comfortable in your surroundings and helps you accomplish your goals as a student. I had a great semester and I have her to thank for that. 13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

Knowledge in law, knowledge in technology. She is a very caring teacher. Professor J is encouraging, hard working, insightful, thoughtful, and provides excellent feedback and updates on our grades and how we are doing in the course. She has set a very high bar for online courses. It shows in her preparation and in the way it is presented. We feel very fortunate to be able to experience enrolling in an online course with her. she knows the subject very well and is very organized which makes for a very great learning environment She is very organized and knowledgeable. She adds humor to her classes and she really knows the subject! She encourages everyone to participate in class and responds with good feedback. Among Susan Jaworowski's strengths as a teacher are her excellent organizational skills (i.e., with this being an online course, her Laulima page was very well structured, easy to use, and overall "user-friendly"); her knowledge in the area; and her desire to pass on her knowledge to students (i.e., she makes it a point to ask if students understand the material, and is prompt in responding back to questions). There is not enough room in the box to list Prof. J's major strengths as there are just too many of them. In addition to her level of knowledge on the subject, her narrated slides are fantastic! She explains everything clearly and she makes learning the material great fun - even when it's boring stuff. The elements Prof. J incorporates into this online class are of the highest calibur. You get reading material, the videos, CALI, discussion boards, etc. I love Professor J, she always knows what she is teaching and care for her students who might find behind a little. I love how organized he is and her class is easy to follow on what she expects from us. Anytime questions were raised, she addressed them immediately. I think she is a great professor. Very knowledgeable and well organized.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

I know it is impossible, but please teach all courses! We love her! None. Keep up the excellent work! Great organization of the class material, presented it in a way that was clear to the students, made the class fun! The format of the quizzes, being multiple choice, does not really show how much I know. At this point, I feel that the course is very well-designed and works effectively. Therefore, I do not have any suggestions to make regarding changes. Perhaps some extra credit or other assignments to help us practice more with that we are learning. For example Trademark and Copyright were very confusing and if she was able to have us do more work with these topics, I might have learned more.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

By emails after the quiz and discussions On numerous occassions... One in particular was for the group of students who met with the accreditation team in March 2012 as she went out of her way to pick up pizza for the group. There are other times via e-mail that she has shown concern and offered wonderful encouragement. She was very accessible through email and office hours. By making sure that we all turned our assignments in on time. Susan Jaworowski showed concern for students by making herself available for questions, and always gave prompt replies. She also is very understanding of the fact that sometimes students wind up with a need to turn in assignments at the last minute. She shows concern for the students in the amount of work she puts into her class. There is constant interaction with her and you can tell she really wants you to learn the information and be able to apply it! I must say, I'm not a fan of discussion boards but I look forward each week to the email that Prof. J sends to us about HER thoughts on our discussion board question (and where we were on and off-track in our class discussion). Students spend a lot of time "discussing" what is printed in the book which is okay; it shows they are reading the assignments, but the input from Prof. J really brings the pieces together. Yes she did. She acknowledged to the class that this would be a difficult topic to get through. She always answered to questions promptly and gave good explanations to clarify any questions.

YES! Why... just take one class from her, you will know it! Definitely. Her online courses are top notch and she has a passion for teaching Law. Yes, great teacher, great class! yes. i have taken several classes with her and i have enjoyed and excelled beyond my potential. she is an excellent teacher. Yes, because her courses are always challenging -- never boring. She is very organized and prompt in her responses. Yes. She is knowledgeable and makes learning fun. She also lets us use our notes on tests. I would recommend Susan Jaworowski to students for the reasons stated above. Absolutely. You have to work hard but she's one of the best instructors in the Paralegal program and you will absolutely learn the information. Yes - she is the most organized Professor, and although you have to work for your grade, you will learn the most by taking her challenging courses. I hope all videos will be uploaded on YouTube. Could not view the videos on iPad or iPhone. Keep up the fantastic work! I really like her knowledge of pop culture. The examples she gives are recent and relevant to today. Susan Jaworowski is an excellent instructor who has a sincere interest and desire to educate students. She is a very fair grader, and works hard to help students understand the material. Professor J, makes me want to go to online class every week to learn. She has taught me so much and I am grateful for the things that she has taught me.

We are very fortunate to have Professor J, overseeing and teaching in the Paralegal department. I look forward to enrolling in other Paralegal courses. I have had her for three classes now and I would take another if I could. She really cares about students and how we are doing. If we have any questions, we just ask and she answers. She returns assignments on time and responds to email promptly. All around a great professor. I can see why she is the head of the paralegal program. Professor J is the best! I'm glad that she posted her thoughts and feedback at the end of each week. It provided more "food for thought" even after the unit was completed.

Extremely well organized. Very caring, and passionate about her subject. It is very evident that a lot of work goes into her presentations which is very much appreciated as it keeps things interesting. Talks a little too fast for note taking at times, but very helpful both in and out of the classroom. Knows her subject area very well, is engaging with students, open for questions, very helpful. She really wants everyone to clearly understand the material if we have any doubts she has no problem after class quickly explaining more clearly if we didnt undertand the first time. She brings in many resources to illustrate the concepts, such as videos, websites, guest speakers. She's a great teacher. Very funny; keeps the three hour night class awake and participating. Prof. J. is an outstanding teacher who provides her class with enthusiastic, creative, out-of-the-box learning experiences to grasp an overwhelming amount of complex material in a short amount of time. Her adept proficiency with Laulima allows her to offer an extremely robust learning environment for her students. She is just a great teacher all together. Professor J. has a lot of energy, which is extremely encouraging for students taking night classes. She covers the material well, and ensures a thorough understanding. She provides good exercises to involve students in the teaching and learning process, and she was very engaging. She is really knowledgeable in the field of Law. It shows it what she teaches the class and how she teaches the material to the class. She is also always willing to find out more about a topic that a student has brought up or questions and follows-up. Outside of the course she is also very helpful with any other law course you are having trouble with. Susan's strength was she knows her law stuff. The syllabus was clear and easy to follow. It was good to have the list of expectations for us so that we could keep up with the class and know what to expect during the semester. At first I thought the subject was well over my head for a first semester student. However, Prof. J made the sujbect so interesting that I found myself diving into the subject, wanting to learn more. The assignments and quizzes were challinging at time, but it brought application to the subject matter and gained valuable learning experiences. Well organized, greatly knowledgeable about the subject. One of the most efficient classes I have seen in terms of online teaching. She is very excited about her job. She was very effective, I learned alot in her class. I like her teachig style. Organization. Everything was presented really well and all the information was easily accessible. Prof. J makes learning the material easy and fun. For an online course, it was extremely interactive. She also is very prompt in responding to students' questions, and providing feedback to tests/quizzes/assignments/postings. The online discussion board was so engaging, I can't imagine how engaging her in class discussions are.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

If possible, put the Powerpoint presentations up at least 24 hours before class so it can be printed in a format that is suitable for the students. Really appreciate the printed PPT in class but the print is very small and there's not enough room to take notes. Better if the format for note taking is selected. None. the discussin boards I feel do not help, I understand why she has them but i feel maybe with more assignments and less discussion boards then we will learn more. No Sometimes I found myself getting restless if we spent too much time looking at websites or watching a video, which I felt I could do on my own time. Maybe it would be helpful in those instances if we had more directed searching, like looking for answers to particular questions instead? Very rarely, quizzes seemed to be on material not specifically covered in class. It might be helpful to students to point out instances where quizzes might veer off from class lectures/materials. None I think I would like follow up comments on the discussion posts. Some of them were very interesting because opinions varied greatly, but I would have like to have had the opinion of someone in the field of law at the very end of all the posts. Maybe not everyone would be willing to go back and read it, but I would have. :) N/A I probably not twist the questions around in the quizzes. It can get confusing. Sometimes students felt like they were attacking or disagreeing in an argumentative way. I felt a little uncomfortable speaking about my opinion and having other students write about it the way they did. None, Prof. J has it all going on! Please do not use PowerPoint presentations if you are not going to edit them properly. Volume levels should remain consistent throughout. Also, if your presentation ends suddenly, mid-slide/mid-sentence the student will miss part of the lecture and stare angrily at their monitor for longer than is healthy or appropriate. Please review all media and documents prior to posting. If a student submits a .doc file riddled with typos you can safely assume your teaching at a community college - when an instructor does the same it's insulting. None I can't think of any changes that need to be made to this course. It was very easy to follow and very interesting. I understand that she wanted the discussion boards to be between the students of our class and that she didn't want to sway our opinions, but I still wish she had participated in them as a student herself.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

She's in contact via GMail and encourages participation. She provides print outs of the PPT presentations as needed. Yes, she was very easy to get ahold of if I had any concerns or questions. She made time for all students. She was fair in all aspects. If she noticed we were slipping she would pull us aside and just ask what is going on and actually listen and try to understand she does care for her students in a huge way! She reminds us to take quizzes and to do discussion questions every week. She was available before and after class as well as through emails. Even if you interrupted, her before her moving on to the next subject, she listed and answered questions. Prof. J. shows the utmost care for her students by sending them reminders via email and posting weekly update reviews of her class, which are extremely useful in keeping track of materials covered and absolutely pertinent to helping her students complete assignments on a timely basis. she made me feel like she really cared. She was always available during breaks and after class for questions and concerns. She was very prompt in answering questions. She gives examples of what the real world would be like in this profession and is very encouraging of every student in the class to participate in discussions and class activities. Susan would ask the students if they needed more clarifications in area they were struggling in. She recapped the discussions and the subject we went over every week which was good to end the week with. She always responded to our discussion on the discussion board and very interactive with each topice presented to students. She would consistently be available for email. If you had a question/concern she would answer that day or the next day at the latest. Yes, I appreciate any instructor who takes the time to follow up with students who may be having difficulties - rather than just assuming someone is lazy. She always had the discussion board open to any questions we would have about the course. Prof. J was always very prompt in responding to students, whether it was by email or via the discussion boards. She also obviously put a great deal of time and effort into devising a system for conveying all the information for this course into an online class that was quite interactive and easy to follow. --

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes, she's very knowledgeable and her assignments encourage one to think and therefore learn a great deal. Yes! She is a great professor! Especially if you want to learn more about the legal field. One tip I would give is if you have questions or concerns and are not doing as well in the class that you had hoped, seek her help from the very beginning! I was hesitant to seek help, but once I did, her advice helped tremendously. I deffinetly would. She has passion for the subject she lays out all the work and tells you from the begining what to do and if you complete it all exactly to her specifications then you will pass and learn the material! Yes. It's a great course. I learned a lot. Yes, because she's such a great teacher. I would most definitely recommend Prof. J. to other students! Her classes are fun and make sometimes very dry material a lot more exciting by letting students role play in mock sessions. Nothing beats learning something from firsthand experience, which makes the lessons far more memorable. Yes Yes, she is a very engaging instructor, able to simplify difficult concepts and encourage students to both express their opinions and consider others. The class was enjoyable because of her teaching style. Yes I would recommend her to other students. She is a great way to start of a journey through the paralegal program and a great professor to learn from about law. I would definitely recommend Susan to students because she knows her law stuffs. Yes. She is a good professor and well organized. Definitely! She's great on the subject, involves student participation and discussion, pushes you to do your best, uses up-to-date technology to present class. Overall it was a great experience! I would recommend Professor Jaworowski because she is knowledgeable, efficient, organized, and cares about her students. Yes, she eased everyone into this 100-level law class and I would be shocked to find out anyone did poorly. This was a very good class Yes. It was a really well organized online class. I would definitely recommend Prof. J to other students because she puts a great deal of time and effort into making her classes easy to follow for the students, and she designs the coursework to flow in a logical fashion. She also is very student-oriented in making herself available for students to ask her questions. Yes, I would. I thought LAW 101 was a good introductory course to our three branches of government.

Great professor! I wish she taught more law classes I would love to take her again! None Prof. J. rocks! Her attention to present a very comprehensive learning experience for her students and constant encouragement to be informed citizens is amazing. Her online discussion questions are thought-provoking without being rote. I wish all my other teachers had been as thorough and prompt as her in grading and allowing for review of completed assignments. Maybe she should be teaching some of the other teachers how to teach, especially how to take advantage of Laulima? I also appreciated that she was lively, humorous and down-to-earth in her lectures. She listens to her students,. She was very clear about her grading criteria and expectations, and she continuously encouraged students in their work. The material was not overwhelming, which is a relief when you are taking a 101 class, as some try to pack too much into a basic course. I would like to say thank you for a fantastic job in teaching LAW 101. Hope to see you in other LAW classes. GREAT JOB! Nice woman, but technology does not seem to be her forte. I would love to take another class instructed by her. I would like to thank Prof. J for making this 101 class so interesting and easy to follow. Having taken other online classes, I realize there are just a many ways to structure one as there are for face-to-face classes. She encourages all of us to participate in class. Overall she is a great professor. She's a great teacher. Very funny; keeps the three hour night class awake and participating. Prof. J has a sincere interest and concern in passing on her knowledge in the course material to the students in her class. She uses a variety of media to get the information across, and gives students prompt feedback on their work. She also is extremely organized with regards to how the course is set up, and does an excellent job of breaking down the subject matter into workable "chunks." She knows the subject matter well and explains it in a way that is easily understandable to the students. She brings in experts to talk about the areas that she is teaching us about, which helps us understand how this knowledge is important in the real world. She is there for each of the students when they need help, and is willing to offer solutions to any problems that may come up. She is very informative on the subjects she teaches and she really emphasizing giving real examples of how criminal law applies despite what the textbook states. She also does a very good of explaining and teaching how criminal law applies to Hawaii as compared to what the textbook states.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

No changes, she is a great teacher. None. I loved the course! As of this time, I do not see anything that needs to be changed in the course. Everything seemed to flow well, and being able to have guest speakers come in was great as well. None.

She always answer emails, she always walking around in the classroom making sure we can follow the lecture. Yes she did. She was available before and after class as well as through emails. Even if you interrupted, her before her moving on to the next subject, she listed and answered questions. Prof. J was always available for students to talk to either before or after class, or by arrangement on campus. But she was also very prompt with replies to emails as well. Being able to email her and get her quick response was a great time-saver. If a student wanted to talk to her she was there to talk to them after class or during her office hours. If a student had a problem she was there to listen and offer a solution to the problem.

Yes, because she makes us work hard and learn what it is really important for our future career. She does not have a easy class, but you always going to remember her lectures, because she makes us thing for ourselves. Yes. She knows what she is talking about and class is never boring. We do in class exercises that help with the understanding of the material. Yes, because she's such a great teacher. Yes, she knows a lot about the subject matter. I would definitely recommend Prof. J to other students because she is obviously student-oriented, in both her desire to pass on her knowledge to students, as well as ensuring that her students understand the material well. She has also gone through great lengths to structure her coursework so that it is easily understood and followed. Yes. Her classes are interesting and you learn a lot. She teaches not only through lecture, but also with hands on exercises to teach the students practical skills. When she wants to show us how the information works in the real world she brings in experts to talk about how it affects them in their job. Yes, I have always recommended Susan because of her extensive knowledge and easy-going personality. Also, her passion for law and education shines through her teaching which encourages students to be more active in speaking up in class.

I think I said it all. I really enjoyed her class and look forward to having her as a professor next semester! The guest speakers in class were great. They added a lot of value, humor and knowledge to the class time. I think Prof. J's efforts to make sure students gain a full understanding of the material in the class shows her desire to break down the subject into smaller parts that make it easier to understand. She makes it all look easy and effortless, but when looking closer, it becomes obvious that she's put a lot of time and energy into structuring the course to flow the way it does. I'm very impressed with her dedication to promoting the students' education. Nothing.

she know's her stuff! she seems to have a passion for us being able to function well in our future positions. Tries to "head off" potential pitfalls in our future legal writing responsibilities. Professor J is a great instructor who is enthusiastic about the subject matter and teaching her students. I also appreciated the time that was given to re-work on our writing projects. Prof J. is very knowledgeable in the subject area and is very passionate about teaching. nothing. None. The course is tough, but it's a really great to be able to know how to write legal documents. none n/a No changes none Seemed too rushed. Maybe stressed out. None! I think Professor J and Ms. Ogawa need to get together to discuss how their grading and what they're teaching. I feel like I get points taken off in one class when I implement things I've learned in the class. It's a bit confusing. None.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

she would stay after class to help students or answer their questions. gave opportunity for questions; when some students seemed reluctant to participate, drew them out in a non-threatening manner. Gave time to entertain our questions, and didn't rush us when we still didn't grasp the answers. She's always encouraging us to ask questions, and she gives us loads of feedback. always helpful and always patient She encouraged questions and provided answers right away. Any question that we had was given a clear and concise answer. She was also extremely prompt on responding back to e-mails which I appreciated. In addition, she made herself available during and after class for any questions regarding class material. encouraged us to asked questions and gave lots of group activities which help us understand how the professor wanted us to do our work Made comments, asked them questions. Prof. J shows concern through her method of teaching. She works really hard at ensuring the students understand how to produce quality work. She takes the time to ensure that we're learning the information and is easily accessible. She treats each student as an individual and tries to meet each person's academic needs. She encourages students to find ways to participate in outside activities, whether it's recreation, or assisting others through volunteer work. She's available for counseling and for other assistance.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

yes. because she is a great teacher yes -- but I'd tell them to plan to work hard!! Yes, because she's a great instructor. She knows her stuff and is always willing to help students understand the material. absolutely...she is the best proffessor I have ever had! Yes. She certainly knew what she was teaching and how to teach it. In other words she knew her stuff! I would definitely recommend her to other students. She challenged me to improve my writing skills and I'm certainly ending the semester as an improved writer. yes. she encourages you to take risks and helps you if you don't understand and gives you the opportunities to make a paper better and helps you along the way. Yes, Professor Jaworowski is a great teacher that knows the material she's teaching. She is also great at giving feedback on assignments and answering questions promptly. Yes. She is an excellent professor! yes, she is patient and always there to help out students She tests a lot and gives you an idea of how you are doing. That part of it is good. Yes! It's a required course. I would recommend that students take Legal Writing with her as opposed to other instrutors. Yes. By the end of the semester, students will learn how to problem-solve and write as a paralegal.

17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

she is a great teacher. Nothing else to say. all good things Her feedback on my writing assignments were great! It definitely helped me to strengthen my writing, and also to pinpoint my weaknesses. Legal writing is a very difficult class. I think we have many different levels of English in the class that may not be up to standard. Maybe people need to test first to see how well their English is first before signing up for this. This class is very time intensive. Assignments are not always clear. A lot of computer uploading. Powerpoints have too much information. Some of the exercises did not seem to be helpful. Some were. She's a great professor who obviously loves teaching. She is extremely intelligent and readily passes on her knowledge to students. Legal Writing is definitely one of my favorite courses this semester and I feel that information is applicable in real life. She provides many opportunities for students to learn and to improve their legal writing.

Nope. Thank you Prof. J for a great semester! You really helped me to develop and improve my legal writing skills. The skills I learned in your class will definitely be put to use. Professor J is a wonderful teacher! I learned a lot but it was painful. Also the class seemed to have a very competitive and aggressive spirit. Some may like that. It was difficult for me. I'm not sure if Law 203 is the class to do this, but I would like to have one of the classes in the Paralegal courses spend more time on grammar and citations. Understanding how important these elements are, especially in the classes that come up later in the program, the "brush over" done by Ben Carroll (and the fact that you don't receive any feedback from him so you don't know if you've cited anything correctly in his classes)is not sufficient.

Professor Jaworowski is very knowledgeable in all the areas of law, which allows for students such as myself to feel confident that questions are effectively addressed. Her expertise, knowledge and network in the field. Her passion and character help us to keep up. She works very hard on the PPTs, videos, assignments and other resources. I appreciate all of her hard work. Enthusiasm and passion for teaching law to students. Also knowledgeable and informative about our judicial system and the law. Potential paralegals will learn a lot from enrolling in this course. She is very organized and always responds to questions and concerns in a very timely manner. She definitely knew the material and was able to teach it well She creates a lot of videos, shares quite a bit of info with students, and most of the assignments were useful and relevant. I know you are an iPhone user. Is it possible to convert your future videos (including other classes) to either youtube or iPhone/iPad friendly? Sometimes I wanted to watch the video when I was outside and my iPad did not support the format of the video. I had to come home to watch it. If I could watch the videos anywhere, that would be so helpful! N/A For online classes, start the course week on Monday, not Wednesday or Thursday. Easier to keep track of the week number that we are in and less likely to worry about homework issues over the weekends. None. hmmmm...i don't like having to log on to 3 different sites to access my class material, discussion area and email, but that's the only thing I can think of... none. she makes us work a lot, but you will learn. more clarity on tests No classes on Monday between 12:15-1:30 due to administrative meetings I took this course just to gain a general understanding of Hawaii law, because that was how it was depicted in the course description. However, the more I attended this class, the more it seems to shout, "be a paralegal!" The focus of the class were mostly related back to, "when you become a paralegal..." which is not what I was looking for at all, because if I do pursue a legal career, I do not wish to be a paralegal. I just wish that the course was not so focused on becoming a paralegal. Nothing :) none none. I honestly can't think of any way that she could be any better than she is now

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

When a natural disaster occurred, she inquired early on if anyone was affected by the situation. I love the opportunity for extra credit assignments and rubric. I loved the short videos that she made every week. I felt that I am cared about and she wants to make sure I was getting something out of this class. Always answers questions via email and other means promptly. She was very empathetic and understanding. She listened and responded to questions and concerns and provided timely feedback. She responded with info and ideas in the discussion board. She usually responded pretty quickly to my emails. she answer email right away, i email her constantly and she ALWAYS answer right away. she cares about her sutudents. via email and in person if u have any questions Tried to draw everyone in, noticing which students seemed reticent about participating, and making it comfortable for them. Answer questions submitted online in a timely manner. She was readily available outside of class via email She always gave students advice and always wanted them to succeed She does all she can to help students to understand the subject. always replied to any contact or message promptly, discussed any concern or confusion...expressed genuine concern for our success when i was having a hard time she reached out to me and got me back on track immediately

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes, Professor Jaworowski allows us to understand the government and how we as citizens can be more involved and participate. Further, covered in the course are situations that may arise while practicing as a paralegal in the workplace. I appreciate the dedication put forth and the high degree of ethics necessary along with the consequences involved when working in the legal profession. Most definitely. Although there are so much to learn (I thought this class could be divided into two semesters) you will never regret taking this class because it would become your asset. Yes, have had many great experiences with her as a professor. Yes. Yes, I would highly recommend this course as it was interesting, informative, and gave me a much better understanding of not only law but also about paralegals and how they function. Yes, I would recommend her to others because she is an excellent teacher, very organized and knowledgeable. I learned a lot in this class. Yes, the information taught was done in a organized manner. It was easy to learn the lesson independently. Yes! She seems to be very interested in providing a good learning experience for students, her course is interesting, her course is not 'too' demanding [of course, that is 'realitive']... yes, because she is fair, well organized, and she has good comunication skills yes, strongly will, she teaches the way that your brain start working :) Yes -- She helps you take an interest in what is going on around you. I have even recommended that my friends on the Mainland try to find a similar class in their areas and audit it. It won't be as good, but it is fun to get involved and knowledgeable about the "ruling" systems in our lives. yes, great class. I would, because she knows the subject very well, however sometimes her class can be a little boring yes because Professor J was super fun and very nice Yes, I would. Because she is awesome, and im sure all of my friends will like her. ABSOLUTELY! she is the best professor i have ever had. her classes are tough but i really learned A LOT! i wish she taught them all!!! Yes. 13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

Professor J tries to make the subject matter interesting to her students. She is knowledgeable and does her best to help her students understand the material. Wealth and breadth of knowledge and resources. The great incorporation of media in her online class and the information she provides to "computer-challenged" students to make sure they too are able to access the material without having to her contact her. She encourages the students to speak their minds on the discussion boards, and has many course videos that convey the subject matter well. She keeps us and herself up to date on changes to IP laws and practices as well as the related industries. And her lessons are well planned out, have original examples to connect us with the information. Excellent teacher and very knowledgeable on the course subject. She seems very personable Susan Jaworoski is a very organized teacher and shows a lot of concerns for her students. In addition, I like how she includes various resources to help us understand the subject matter more. Prof. J is very patient and if you don't understand she willing to break everything down to simple terms. She's awesome!! She knows the subject matter and is very enthusiastic about finding material outside of the class book aiding in more knowledge. Knowledge about the material and a great speaker even though all the classes were online Susan Jaworowski's course is so well-organized that it is possible to know where you stand at all times. Her weekly quizzes are immediately graded and you can identify your strengths, and repair your weaknesses. Every week represents a particular topic and all the study material for that week is related to that topic. Her weekly Discussion Board allows everyone to participate and exchange ideas in a greater way than is possible in the classroom. The videos that she prepares makes it feel like you are receiving personal attention from a very personable and pleasant instructor. I think her outstanding success as a teacher stems from her outstanding personality and character. It's obvious that she cvares a lot about what she does for her students. She goes all-out and I am completely grateful.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

None. Start the course week on a Monday, not Wednesday or Thursday. Easier to avoid homework on the weekends. none More videos and possibly another course reference book. None More cali lessons, those lessons make uderstand certain parts easier. I don't know if she will go this route, but if she happens to have a joint effort for an assignment I will dread this as with an online course you really don't have the knowledge before hand on the availability and personalities of the students. Give the 3rd assignment at least 2 weeks before the finals. Don't worry. If any changes are needed, she will think of what they are! I can't think of a thing that needs changing.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Professor J is there to answer whatever questions or concerns we may have. Always answered questions promptly and thoroughly. Yes. She does a thorough mid-semester review to let students that are following behind what their grade is and how they can improve to bring up the grade or avoid failing the class. If a student posted a problem up on the discussion board, she was there reading it, and would get back to the student promptly. She sent us extra information to assist us in a comfortable final exam experience, like the best times to go if we don't want to wait for hours. And whenever there was a problem with the laulima lesson materials she would notify us of the problem and tell us when the problem should be solved by. By responding to questions and concerns in an appropriate and timely manner. - Providing lots of resources for learning - She gets back to concerns via email asap. She anticipates and identifies any problems we may have with the material and assignments. If you identify a concern or issue, she will listen and even make an adjustment (for example, rephrase a quiz question) if you have a cogent argument about your concern.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes, because she's a great teacher, though I wouldn't recommend distance learning courses because they're a lot more challenging to understand. You really need to be a self-starter and well-organized to be truly successful. Yes. Yes. She is very thorough with the information she provides--videos, Power Points, etc.--and very knowledgeable about intellectual property, which can be confusing. Yes, this was a very interesting course, I would not have known as much as I know now about what it means to violate intellectual property laws if I had not taken this course. yes the class is well structured and very enjoyable. i learned a lot. yes, definitely, because she has a perfect balance of coursework; the weekly quizzes and discussions (with the discussions promoting personal creativity and student interaction simultaneously.) Then a major assignment for each major IP area and a cumulative final. Yes, her course is very well organized and she is available for questions and concerns by responding promptly. Sure. She seems like a good professor Be on top of things. There is always so much to learn that once you start lagging behind, you can get overwhelmed by the amount of catching up that you need to do. Take advantage of all the resources that she provides. She has them there for a reason. Yes, she patient and answers any question you have in a timely manner. Yes Very fair. Yes, she is fair and lists everything you need to do for the week. I recommend her courses to all my fellow students when the opportunity arises.

Great Professor. Very friendly and empathetic towards students. A very good instructor. Nothing Excellent professor. I will be taking another one of her courses in the near future. None. The second time I had her as an online instructor. I wish I had the availability to take a visual class with her as an instructor. CALI is kinda tricky, try using less of it. The computing copyright protection was also very difficult, please explain it in a powerpoint to help students understand the information. Susan Jaworowski deserves praise and awards.

Online classes are usually hard to focus on - probably lack of discipline on my part. None Excellent course. Bravo!! I just wish the FINAL was not scheduled immediately after the last day of class. We only have a few days to go over all the content throughout the semester that I don't think it was enough time for us to study everything comprehensively. Keep up the good work at UH and I like how we entertain you sometimes with our answers and you let us know that you are amused. (Also, keeping us inline with some of our stupid mistakes). As an attorney that I once worked for said- you have to know how to read. Try to keep up with your emails and student questions on the discussion post half way into the semester

She knows the law well and the practical concepts of writing in the law. She has a very organized syllabus and is able to adhere to it. Therefore, the expectations were consistent, and the work was difficult, and in hind site, I appreciate what was learned. Very good instructor She made learning legal writing a little more bearable because she is enthusiastic about the subject and has a good sense of humor. She makes a difficult subject manageable. She grades fairly. She encourages her students. She is an excellent teacher! She is able to present the material in a way that makes it clear and that you are able to grasp. She knows the subject matter well,and further conveys this knowledge to the students using knowledgeable guest speakers who work in the field.

She was honest and upfront about our grades, our styles, and what changes would benefit us. From what I saw she did this for each student, amazingly adapting to each individual students issues. I like this as it shows that she is more concerned that the student absorb the most out of the class as opposed to just assigning projects and giving a numerical grade. She stayed after class answering students questions. She was available during break and after class. She keeps track of her students. She is always available through email and will respond in good time. If there is ever a problem that comes up she is always available to help in anyway that she can.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Without hesitation, yes. She may seem hard at first, but at the end, a student should appreciate what they have learned. Yes because she knows subject very well. Yes. She is fair and makes the material easy to learn. She uses creative and fun techniques for learning. She brings in guest-speakers to help us understand what things are like in the "real world." 13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

Excellent organizational skills; great in-class presentation style; varied instruction throughout the term; made the topics interesting, compelling, and fun. She is very organized and well educated about the course and materials needed to be covered. Prof. Jaworowski is remarkably engaging and a great communicator. She makes the subject matter very clear and even entertaining to me. I know my classmates also have had this experience because we all remark on it to each other. She keeps the class from getting bored by having lots of different kinds of projects. I think that this also helps for people that are visual and other types of learners. She knows what she is teaching and she knows how to instruct in the most effective ways. Professor J. is very knowledgeable in the subject matter and an excellent teacher. She kept the class fun with different types of activities and class participation. She's very proficient with many computer programs and was able to provide us with many types of videos on line and different computer activities as well. Professor Jaworowski explains the elements of law in a way that is understandable and clear. She is extremely enthusiastic about teach and it shows through her teaching. She's also prompt about grading assignments, quizzes, and discussion scores. Best teacher I've had at KCC! Professor J is passionate regarding the law and government. She wants her students to succeed in her course, doing the best to there ability. She encourages class participation and acknowledges each student question and/or response. very smart and selects topics that teach, but also creates new interests. Very knowledgeable Her knowledge about the subject she is teaching, the experience, and ability to explain things through powerpoint lecture slides. I enjoyed how she used a variety of technology for teaching. It allowed me to grasp the concept better. she teaches well and is very understanding Ms. Jaworoski is truly a pioneer in the field of Paralegal Education. Her use of technology to convey traditionally paper based ideas deserves recognition. I am extremely excited to take classes from her in the future. The organization of her courses are clear and concise, and truly allow a student to think and discuss more so than they would in a regular classroom setting. Knows her subject matter completely, knows how to produce a interactive online class. Prof Jaworowski is easily approachable and has a friendly attitude. She keeps the atmosphere acedemic and has a dialog for any question she is asked. I found her to be well-organized and adept at introducing topics, which are potentially dry and uninteresting, and capturing my attention by varying her presentations. She used different media and changed her approaches to keep lesson material moving along.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

Nothing comes to mind. I was more than satisfied with Prof J's course delivery. I don't have any suggestions for changes, Pro. J is a great instuctor. Because she goes "all out" for us every session, I honestly can't think of anything more she could add. She already goes to great extent to provide a sense of the real-life experience of what she teaches, letting us participate in mock legislative hearings; bringing in others to give us a slice of life perspective; and actively engaging us in discussion. I would hope that she would not change any of these activities, but I'll bet she will come up with even more creative experiences for her students. Less powerpoint Perhaps some extra credit work being made available. None. Allowing the Final exam to be open notes and class handouts because of the simple fact no one person can remember all the different sections of the law, ethics, government, etc. Not even graduates of law school are able to cite complete sections of the law. It is not only the importance of understanding what is taught in Law 101 but also knowing where to research and how to find the information, especially understanding the code of ethics and each branch of government. It is a concern with the final exam closing in fast having to know numerous sections of the law and a huge percentage of the final exam affects the final grade. It is a fearful thought because even having a solid "A" going into final it could be blown by a poor score on the final exam, the heart break of knowing what could possibly happen. I sincerely hope this fall 2010 final exam is open notes. The thought is even with open notes, if you don't study for final exam does not mean you will have enough time to look up all the information. If you don't study the hypo and understand how to break it down you will not be able to score max points. I've learned from two of my previous Law Professor's here at KCC, it's not being able to memorize the law but how the law is applied, understanding the law and knowing where to start the research, how to break it down and define your research. none Don't grade as much on discussion questions. It's a discussion to open our minds; there's a lot of pressure for someone without the knowledge expected to answer questions on discussion board. Not knowing should not be graded harshly n/a nothing None. None I don't know Prof J or the online instruction courses at KCC well enough to suggest changes, but if I may? I really liked the VOKI images she used and I hope she continues to use VOKI. She comes through clearly and seems like a friend with an attitude, positive.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

She responded immediatel to any inquiries. She gave us an opportunity to clarify questions by submitting index cards at the beginning of the term. She always shows concerns for her students when she feels like they are having problems with the course. She always thinks of her students. When she presents information to us for the course, she always puts lots of thought and effort into it. She pays attention to each and every students' commentary in our discussions and provides feedback, correction to misconceptions, and further information and sources to pursue. During class, she seems to know each person's status, that is, where each student stands in his comprehension of the material and she assists with some one-on-one attention when we do in-class assignments. She was available to help whenever it was needed. If we ever had concerns, or even if our face looked puzzled...she would take time out to help us. She provided us with note cards and encouraged us to ask questions. The note card was a great way to voice our confusion without being pointed out. It was anonymous so that was appreciated. She also explains questions thoroughly and made it known that she was always available to answer any and all questions. Professor J is approachable face to face or via email, she listens to a students concerns, is caring when your ill allowing the student to complete the assignment. gives office hours and encourages questions n/a She promptly responded to all my emails, offered help whenever I needed it, and she was extremely patient I think she cared about the students and enjoyed the subject matter enough to show concern. when laulima was down she would give us extra days for us to finsih our assignments Ms. Jaworoski responded to many of the posts in the discussion boards, and gave specific information that answered questions posed by the students. She is always informing students of current events in the subject matter. I consulted with her about a technology question early in the course. She led me through the lesson and took all the time I needed to understand her explanation. I mentioned I was adrift in another course and she not only offered to lead me to the instructor's office, but planned to introduce me to him. Unfortunately, his office was locked and I didn't get to visit with him. Prof J welcomed me back and assured me that I was going to be fine and wished me well. I feel I could get help and advice from her anytime I asked.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes, defniitely. Of course I would recommend her, I actually aready have. She is a great instructor, very organized. I would certainly recommend Prof. J's course as the first one to take in the Paralegal program. It will build a student's enthusiasm for what lies ahead in the program and will also assist by providing a basic understanding of the other courses in the program. Yes, because of the amount of valuable information that you gain. Yes. See #13. Yes! She makes learning about law fun and informative =) I would recommend Professor J to fellow students and have a positive response. I was worried/concerned to take her course because of what I had heard from fellow students and their experience with her. But because of a positive influence on me and the fact I am required to take Law 101 despite my initial fear, has turned out to be a positive learning experience. yes, but be prepared to study hard. sure, very knowledgeable Yes, her classes are challenging and quizzes are hard, but I feel like I learned alot and the materials were interesting even though they were a but challenging to understand ABSOLUTELY! of course. she's a fantastic teacher and i learn a lot from her power point presentations. I would recommend Ms. Jaworoski's class to any student. Her method of teaching makes everything relevant to issues that arise today, and her presentations are easy to understand but still thought provoking. Yes, Very caring person who is passionate about her subject. Absolutely, she is very interesting to listen to and has something to say about any topic I have brought up with her. In fact, I feel sadly lacking in my communication skills when compared with her's. I am new to law and paralegal courses and Prof J has a command of the subject of law that moves along at a swift pace. One must pay close attention or you soon have to beg to be taken back to the beginning of the conversation to start over. However, she is patient with beginners and I feel that she doesn't really mind that she has to tolerate my ignorance of the subject. I think helping people is why she got into teaching in the first place.

17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?

I have never seen anyone work as hard as Prof J in presenting her course materials--both online and in person. I was totally impressed with her organization of the instructional materials, and she provided a wide variety of delivery methods. I liked her use of Laulima, with the discussion board, resources of powerpoints and additional references, videos, twitter feeds, etc. She was completely engaging as a classroom instructor and showed genuine interest in her students' success. As well as being a great teacher, she makes her class sessions as sociable as she is in personality. Missing a class session would be like missing a theme party. yes thanks for the pizza, brownies, coffee, and cookies!! :) She is a great teacher. i really enjoy her class. Great teacher, very optimistic, patient, and very very very smart Excellent teacher. First year as a paralegal student with exposure to the field of law of any kind and she allowed me to not only understand the legal profession better, but also enjoy it. great teacher. Nothing If I get to continue to attend KCC, I plan to take Prof J's other course in Patent and Copywrite Law.

Prof J made the law/paralegel profession come alive for me! If I could offer a higher evaluation I would. I just don't know how! none The last assignment for the course is a "group" assignment, being in the paralegal program one of the important work ethics is "team work". I firmly believe in team work but I think it is also equally important to allow a student to work solo because of many circumstances it is the individual who is accountable for his/her own work product. I sincerely appreciate the fact that Professor J allowed me to work on the last assignment solo and disband from my group I originally put together because of lack of commitment and work ethics from my former teammates. None online course is a winner. almost everything is clear cut on what is required to complete assignments. any questions? email was pretty effective. Lots of information - i was very glad to be able to view and review. That is a really nice part that is different from a classroom setting - you can access the power points and videos - over and over - anytime!!! More online classes plz!!! I am new to online instruction in the way KCC uses it, but all my instructors were patient and willing to re-explain their lesson ofjectives until the message sank in. I am willing to keep up the Internet use, and I want to become familiar with KCC's use of it. I am not as comfortable with technology as some students who have grown up using computers in all aspects of their lives are so I plan to keep making the effort to utilize the computer in an educational setting and give as good as I get.

She is so organized that many instructors pale in comparison. Her lectures are informative and fun, and everything is explained in detail with a clear understanding of what she feels is important for you to take away from her class. She prepares students well for exams and answers questions by email in a timely manner. Her passion and knowledge for the law. Prof. J is enthusiastic about teaching and making sure her students understand the material and learn practical working skills for the real world. She is well organized and made difficult topics easy to understand. she is extremely knowledgeable on the subject and has a lot of professional experience to draw upon, really enjoyed the guest lecturers Gave me options how to think about an issue, then forced to look at the particular issue; if that is the issue the question asked; teased the answer out of me which was there simply because she talked me through process, the legal process and what is behind it, such as the difference between a prosecutorial versus defense way of thinking. knowledge in the subject area and technology, wide and deep network with professionals, very personable, easy to talk to and ask questions, willingness to share all and everything she has as a teacher with her students. Professor J shows concern for students by working diligently to prepare them for their field of study. She takes time to recognize those students who are taking her class but may not be getting their degree as a paralegal and shares how the inforamation provided in class applies to their field or basic interests, as well. She's easy to reach outside of class and gives GREAT follow up information to areas of study that proved challenging in the classroom. made herself available to us and was very open to answering any questions we might have, very understanding Answered emails, created links She started calling all students by the first name on the second class! She has very close attention to each one of us. She is aware of every student's job, sometimes life, and academic situations, where we are in the program, and so on... She brought microphones in class, changed the classroom from the freezing one to the better one with the computers. She always posted information and video to support what we learned in class. I really really appreciated it. Emailing them..answer emails quickly..giving handouts from the day you missed class Made assignment deadlines later. For example, encouraged students to vote so pushed back due date one day. Also, allowed students time to spend with the family so pushed back due date two days to allow for time spent on thanksgiving. Laulima site was very helpful and always updated with information. She also emailed often. She is always engaging us in conversation and tries to assist us in any ways she can. If anyone does not understand or needs clarification, she always takes the time to help him or her. She sends emails asking about our attendance...she let's us submit anonymous questions...very helpful.

Absolutely! Because everyone deserves the kind of education she provides. Yes. She is very fair, made the difficult topics easy to understand and will answer any questions you have on a timely basis. yes she is very energetic and her class is straight forward and interesting, never a dull moment Yes, recommend, if you want to understand how to think logically about what really we are looking at, such as defendant's rights, procedure in criminal law, so on ANYBODY! I would like to take as many as classes from her. I absolutely love her for all the reasons above. Yes...shes a good professor A big yes! Very knowledgeable and personable to the students. Yes, she is great to learn from and makes students want to learn. Yes, because she is an able teacher who knows her material. She explains things very well and is easy to understand, though her enthusiasm sometimes propels her to speak quickly. YES Definitely! Best law teacher I've had so far...and I am signing up for another of her classes next semester. She is very impressive.

Keep it up behind the face of real live lawyer is a warm mind I thought the textbook was very helpful. However, the book was extremely heavy and I personally had a hard time carrying it everywhere when I wanted to do reading assignment outside home. At the end of the day, I had sore shoulders and the big decision of starting a day was usually whether I carry the book the day with me or not. ;) I scanned or copied pages so that I won't have to carry entire book all the time, but it was the most (and the only) problem I had in this class. The content of the book was great though. I hope this publisher will provide e- copy or Kindle or something...

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

Enthusiastic Good presentation style Organized Easy to understand Embraces new technology as teaching tools Well organized, quick responses when asked for assistance, well explained/organized lectures, gave in-depth explanations on the various sections of legal writing, etc. Damn, she really knows her stuff. She also encourages us to think about the concepts. I have given some pretty lame answers when I didn't understand but felt it was OK and part of the learning process in this difficult subject. very knowledgeable. Understands application of legal writting and instructs students new to the field. building blocks are solid. Provided opportunity for students to learn via "iluminate" took the time to integrate it into the time line.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

No changes necessary; absolutely enjoyed Professor Jaworowski's lecture style, and learned more than in any other similar classes of legal writing. I would have liked all of the weeks to be eluminate seesions, but understand why that was not so. more examples and practices for writing the memos would be helpful, especially if never written one before.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

She was always willing to assist via email or in person, if necessary; timely answered all my burning questions; explained in detail challenging assignments, etc. She was always available for questions and concerns we might have. offers office hours and encourages questions. Direct inquiries and open ended questions during class discussions.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes. The two classes of hers that I've taken have been education, and also more interesting than they would seem by looking at the syllabus. Her classes are well organized, and it's easy to get the points that she's trying to teach. Of course I would recommend any student to learn under Prof. J's excellent supervision. She has this talent to do give far more in-depth explanations, which I needed for legal writing. Because of her, I better understand the gist of writing far more than before. I'm truly happy about my progress all thanks to Prof. J. I always do ! She is a real asset to the program. yes, but be prepared to work and study hard! Yes, she is thorought and understands the materials. Excellent instructor for legal writing.
