5. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?

The freedom of topic choice

Learning how to make a portfolio. It was also interesting to do a "mini-thesis" so that I feel like I can write one as a college graduate.

Her approach to lecturing on each form of project in order to allow us to understand how to approach the topics.

I liked learning how technology somehow effects everything we do in life these days. There was a lot to learn and take-in, but everything was interesting because it directly effects my life and how I currently incorperate technology on everyday bases.

Ms. Winter could not be more helpful. She is the best part of this course.

Every assignment we did not only stimulated our minds but prepared us for the final project and portfolio. I feel like every class was amazing. I enjoyed it and learned so much.

I think that the small class size and diversity of projects allowed for more personal feedback. I liked the fact that it was a step-by-step process because it made the process easier and less daunting.

6. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?

I felt as though I had more time to prepare for my portfolio than for my actual research paper. I wish we had more mini assignments in regards to the research paper. The lit analysis helped tons! Maybe doing another mino assignment in actually WRITING the paper in order to get the students a feel if they are writing in the correct way.

Good, although maybe more mini assignments to prepare for the final research paper would have been ideal in order to prepare for such an extensive paper. I felt very stressed toward the end and distraught as to what I should be writing. Maybe force groups with other students so that they can see the format of one another's papers so one may see if they are on the right track. I flt as though what I was writing was incorrect. A little more guidance should be placed.

Jenifer Winter is the model for teaching at the collegiate level. Her style and approach is appreciated and sorely absent from most instructors.

Winter is such an awesome person to learn from. I loved being in her class because she seems so current and enthusiastic when teaching. My classmates and I always appreciate taking a class thought by Winters because she is knowledgeable and able to relate information in ways that are easier to obtain and understand the material.

Ms. Winter is by far the best Professor I have has at UHM. She is an asset to the school and should be taken care of. A huge thank you to Ms. Winter!

I absolutely loved this class. Professor winter is the best. She is so passionate about teaching and has so much knowledge. I learned so much and really feel like I am walking away from this class with a lot.

The concepts and practices of mobile phone uses in local context around the world.

discussions on weekly topics was most valuable to understanding the material and concepts.

The readings and organization of the class was the most helpful.

The presentations were not that valuable. Toward the end of the semester it seemed that most of the students were giving mediocre presentations.

Professor Winter has been more than helpful for me in this class and outside of this class. She is very welcoming, full of encouragement and support. She has a strong knowledge in the field of ICT and I highly recommend other students to learn from Prof. Winter.

This was one of my favorite courses this semester because I actually felt the desire to show up to class prepared to discuss, therefore forcing me to learn. In most of my other courses, I don't feel as if I have learned anything!
