She recommends good study skills for tests and is available at any time for anyone who needs help. She's friendly and open to helping students.
Coberly gives relevant example and ask question if the students does not familiar to the topic.
she stood after class if students asked for help or opinion. she always asked how we was doing.
23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?
i liked her lectures. im not into doing a whole lot of in class activities, i like to hear from the instructor.
I liked that she knew her psychology well. I disliked the full lecture for most of the time, because the lectures sometimes put me to sleep, but for the most part she knew her stuff.
Kind and respecful to all her students.
that all her materials was from one book, so you weren't confused what notes came from what book. and that she talked and used videos as examples.
24. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
She is a very kind teacher whose work is straight forward and not misleading.
Great job.
she is a good teacher and gives you plenty time to finish classwork or projects, so you never feel rushed.

yes, i learned a lot from her.
Yes, I would recommend Maragaret Coberly to other students, because she is knowledgeable on her subject. I wouldn't recommend that someone take her class during the late afternoon though, because her lectures can get slow at times.

I learned alot and I reallly liked that she laid all the point system on the table and informed everyone of every grade they received right away.

22. How did the instructor show concern for students?
She gave some extra credit to help with people getting more points.
Dr. Coberly always went out of her way to accomodate students in need. She showed compassion for students that became ill and always encouraged her students to work together on subject material.
To me, she didn't really show concern for students. She did her job and taught about abnormal Psychology.
She made sure that we knew the material by always asking questions and offering outside help. I liked how she would show videos to support what we were learning so we could see it in a different way,
23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?
I like how she has the reaction papers so we can relate to the material.I think the lectures should be concentrated like how the tests will reflect the questions.
I like the amount of group discussion and room given to insert opinion. I also liked the group project. I didn't like that some of the material needed to be self-taught.
I liked it how in her class you need to read the text book to be able to fully understand what is going on in the lecture.
I really enjoyed that she talked about personal experiences and connected them with the material we were learning.
I liked how she knew the material and was always able to answer questions. I just wish she gave more extra credit opportunities because there was not much homework just more quizzes and test and if you didn't do good then you might not pass.
24. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
She is a nice woman who knows a lot about her field.
Dr. Coberly genuinely cares about the well-being of her students. She goes above and beyond to make certain they are on track and comfortable. She is a lovely woman.

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?
No, her material is to scattered. It is hard to get a good grade in her class, even if you stay on top of your work.
I would recommend Dr. Coberly to those students willing to work hard and learn course material on their own. This course requires self-dedication and motivation.
Sure, they just need to make sure they read the book, come to class and do the assignments.
Yes I would if you like straight lecture class that is her style of teaching but I like how she offered videos so we could learn in a different way.

She always asked how everyone was doing, and I believe everyone in the class would agree that if you were to come to her with a problem she would do all she could to help you.
By being available for her help all the time
Professor Coberly is a great teacher who always strived for the best of her students. She makes sure everybody participates and understands everything. She also gives us examples of things in class that helped us learn things easier.

I guess from time to time when there would be a student absent from class, she would ask anyone in class whoever knew them, if they were doing ok?
She always made sure that if we had a problem, she'll try and help us.
She always tries to get the students to understand and grasp the topic she is teaching with many examples.
Have office time to do extra if needed
by giving them advice to study harder next time and make review notes.
A wonderful teacher who gives us the tools needed to do well in her class.
she would notice when a student would not come to school for a period off time
She would offer advice because she wanted us to do well.
She was always there to help students.
Shes always open to questions and help students after class.
she would ask if they understood or not and if not then she would try to help them out
She gave more extra points on the test when we didn't get it right and asked the students if they did their homework.
She always asked questions and always reminded everyone to do their video responses.
Well She once looked for me in the halls for make sure that I made it to class and she also fills me in things that I could not understand.

She constantly asked us how we are doing on writing our reaction papers, and our group presentations. She also gave us class time to discuss and work on the projects.
She takes the time to answer questions and always has time to talk to us after class if something isn't clear.
She asks people if they understand and she worries when people don't come to class.
When it seemed like none of the students were reading the text or the review notes she encouraged everyone to read it for the sake of passing the course, especially before tests.
She shows concern by giving notes and going through the notes with her students. She does her best to make sure that everyone has all of the materials to help them get ahead.
She always checks to see if we get the material and lets us ask questions
23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?
She was interested and fasinated by it so it makes the class more interested in it.

i liked the fact that she is a nice and respectful teacher but she needs to talk the students in this class in a way that we understand what she is talking about, rather than assuming that we automatically know what she is talking about...
I liked all the video's that we got to see. They were very interesting to see. Also, just being in this class alone and learning all the different things I've learned was incredible!
not to do back to back classes, and maybe you won't be too moody for the next class!
i tried really hard not to fall asleep. the few times i was awake was during class discussions or if i was working on homework for another class.

I dislike that this class was not organized.

I actually really liked that pretty much every class was lectures about the chapters of our books. She would explain to us the different psychology disorders and would give us examples of past experiments that happened, or just events and matters that are going on today that relate to the subject.
There were too many medical words being used.
I liked the way she taught the class but i disliked how there is no hands on things to do besides reading.
I needed more interest for the subject with making the class fun to come too...It would be more to remember by for her tests that covers 4-5 chapters....

She was nice and presented the mterial to class in a way that made it more interesting.

I like the videos, but I didn't like all the reading to do.
I like that she is hilarious, but I dislike that she is so smart, sometimes I couldn't understand what she was saying or talked about. Not all the time though. But she did crack me up!!!
I like the way that play movies and uses examples when she is trying to explain anything but I dislike how she jumps from subject through subject while she is doing a lecture because I tend to get lost. She also a hard grader.

This was definately my favorite class. I thought she was a very good teacher. Funny, and gave good examples and stories. Helped us with our tests, by reviewing material with us. She is a great teacher, and I love Psych and want to pursue this even more because of her information and things she shared.
I really enjoyed the topic of psychology and I loved group projects!
I didn't like the fact she often goes off on a tangent during her lectures.
I like the movies that we watched, they were interesting and relative to the subject. It made me understand what we were learning better.
I liked how well she explained everything and made all the technical stuff easier to comprehend.
I thought that it was very interesting how she told stories that related to the subject matter being taught. It gave a different perspective than just the books examples
I liked the way we would have main lectures on the main parts of the books instead of covering every little thing in the book.

Overall I thought she was a pretty great professor, at times she would be a little random or off putting...But I think that was just her type of personality. In that sense it made her kind of funny. Her material she gave to us wasnt at all that hard to follow, just maybe alot all at once. For example, for our tests I think she gave us a little too many chapters all at once to remember for a single test.

I found it hard to remember so much chapters at once although I still needed to do extra credit to make it...Hopefully finals with Coberly and presentation work well to the completion of her class.

Yes, as long as you read your assigned chapters. If it were someone who doesn't like to do the work then i would say no she wouldn't be the teacher for them.

i would say yes. I have been struggling in that class at first but she is always there when i had a question to ask.
Yes, I would recommend Professor Coberly because she's passionate about the work she does and you can really see this. Also, I think it's important for students to know this kind of information in psychology and she does a great job of expressing that to her students.

Her tests are very hard! Does not seem to coincide with her review notes or text book or what she lectures. I love Margaret to death but I studied my ass off using all resources and only got a C, exam three I only read two chapters and got a C...???
No, psychology is usually a want to learn subject and this class was very bland & the lectures were not useful and there was too much information
Yes, I believe I would. I thought she explained her curriculum quite well and gave us good back- up information to try to understand it better. She was also quite intresting and amusing to listen to.

I am not one to judge anyone. But if i had to take this class for the first ever; then i would of not contuined a higher education at all!!!!! Most of it is self taught, but i feel that i waisted my time and money just sitting in her class. Have i learned anything?
Well I am taking her abnormal psy...I will let you know if that one is any better...also I had never taken her type of exam where there are two possible answers that could be right but only one is absolutely correct.
Hopefully this end pays off even when i found it hard to remember so much information at once. Reaction papers should help I'm so hoping......

Some ideas can be sometimes very unclear. More engagement with the textbook would've been beneficial.
Should make the reading assignments real homework and broken down to pages.

I really enjoyed taking this class. I thought it was exceptionally interesting. I also liked the videos we watched, they were helppful and interesting as well.
The class is more interesting than I thought it would be, I learned alot from it. The class should be mandatory.
