14. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....

He's not fantastic at teaching the subject of Programming Language Theory. He's a lot better at teaching assembly rather than this. Don't get me wrong, he still is rather good at teaching this subject.

He knows what he is talking about, but I think he has a hard time conveying it. Sometimes he can be confusing, but overall he's a good teacher.

Overall, Dr. Pager was a good teacher. He was always willing to help us on the homework assignments and in terms of preparing for the exams. However, sometimes I felt like he wasn't completely prepared, especially in terms of maintaining his website with all of the information that we needed (incorrect dates, broken links, etc.) Also, maybe be more clear about what we need to know from lessons while lecturing, rather than waiting until it's time to study for an exam to really tell us what we're expected to remember.

He is willing to take questions. Wish there was more clarity to the syllabus.

It was kind of strange learning this class the first time because assembly language was very different compare to the other language I've learned. But as the time goes by his class became more interesting and I actually learned new things. Mr. Pager is really good in teaching in his own way and he is not as bad as what others perceived him to be. Keep up the good work!

This course is helpful to learning assembly language.

Andrew Wong (our TA) was really good. Even if our assignments are late he at least give us some credits for what we did. So thanks for all the patience and understanding Andrew. Great job!

Good class, besides minor downtimes between topics in lecture where we might spend several minutes not doing much of anything as we switch from one presentation to another.

Great professor, actually managed to make assembly language programming not boring.

Very Good Professor.

Prof Pager is great! :D Always willing to help and gives great examples that helps me understand the material. Yay assembly! I never liked it till this course.

He did the best he could with the material he had. He followed Dr. Reed's course schedule, which was not a very good course to begin with. He tried to make things easier for the online students by curving the grades and offering extra credit projects.

Not very keen on communication, explanations are quite vague.

Professor Pager seems great. Very willing to help students. I didnt like Prof. Reed's style of teaching. Even though her class is online and in-class, her slides were geared towards the in-class students. There were no solutions to her questions on the sl

This course felt ridiculous to me. But again, the professor did the best he could with the material he had.

I seem proficient enough to program in Common Lisp and Perl, so I learned a lot in this course.

Quite difficult, sometimes hard to follow.

Needs a better instructor. I know Prof. Pager wanted to change things, but his hands were tied because it was Prof. Reed's course.
