9. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
Give extra credit.
More hands on group activities! Those were my favorite and we only did a few. Like the killing off of the people and the privilege and the resources. I think more of those would have really unified the class and made the presentations easier. I really like the movies. Although I feel like Trading Places was a little too directly sociological. It came right out and said the concepts of social class with the whole bet between the brothers. For the ending part of the course, I would have expected a little more challenging of a movie to analyze. BUT it did fit into everything we had been talking about.
10. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?
The discussions and excercises
journal movies
I enjoyed the real life connections that were made. At times, sociology can seam like a far fetched idea, but Jackie made it really easy to understand through the visuals and video clips and movies. I really enjoyed all the stories that connected the readings to real life situations to make it more tangible. Oh & Little Miss Sunshine. PERFECT. It blends family and finding yourself and sociology and symbols and really made me think about the people influencing my own life. Two thumbs up.
11. My overall evaluation of this course is...
Very informative and fun.

AMAZING. Thank you so much Jackie! I would defiantly take the class again if I had the opportunity too. Keep up the great work, you powerful woman. (Although that's not always true in sociology, it's true in the classroom as you're the teacher. Okay, that's all.)
