Lots of great information about the valuable reference resources.

Everything about the course was valuable and helpful: the content, the assignments, the lectures and the discussions.
This was my first course in the MLIS program. At first though there appeared to be too many projects and materials to cover. However Dr. Nahl, was excellent at guiding and facilitating us through everything we needed to know!

15. State in two or three sentences how this course could be improved.
Too much work due at the same day. The work should either be spread out or better yet, divide the content into 2 courses.
The instructions for assignments were gone over in class, and were spelled out for students in extensive lists. Sometimes the list were overly extensive, almost exhaustive. Dr. Nahl is so well prepared for the class and assignments. This really helps a student focus.
It is difficult to find a way to improve this course since it already is a perfect introduction to reference services. The instructor was very organized and knowledgeable, and lectures were excellent. The assignments were a challenging and useful way to gain knowledge about a variety of reference materials and to gain the confidence necessary to successfully provide reference services.
Absolutely Nothing!
16. Other comments:
Professors always has a smirk on her face! Professor always want to have the "last word" even when it's not necessary. Also, the professor thinks "computer labs will be obsolete", showing a lack of empathy towards students who can't afford their own computers or printers. Not every student has a laptop, nor can every student afford one. She makes constant over-generalizations ((ie. "librarians believe in this", "librarians are always persistent", "faculty don't like to .......", "students don't want to log in to the campus computers") Those over-generalizations shows intellectual weakness and a display an unrealistic world-view.
Dr. Nahl,is a SMART, knowledgeable, well organized, caring professor ! I hope to have her for many more classes!
