15. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
Nothing
To improve the teaching of the course, he could have better communication skills.
I really enjoyed hoe everything was layer out and easy to understand, no recommendations here.
Everything in this course was done well and I don't feel that any improvements need to be made.
not really any improvements needed for this course. I really enjoyed taking this class, and I would take it again.
Dr. Tanners was great! Always available if students needed help. Always willing to answer any questions.
I noticed some spelling errors on the main page of LauLima. Really not a big deal, it didn't hamper my learning in anyway but I think that all the spelling should be correct. Other than that He was a fantastic teacher. I really enjoyed him and he helped out whenever needed. He knew his stuff well and wanted us to do well and succeed.
I really enjoyed the course. In addition, the professor was very well organized and was very fast in responding question. There is nothing I would improved about this course, everything was well done.
I am not to sure how he would improve this course because this has been the best online course that i have ever taken.
16. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?
He is very detail oriented, give attention to all students and responds to e- mails promptly.
I learned a lot about special education and taking this course steered me into the direction of possibly dual majoring in elementary education and special education.
He always responded to my emails within a day, which I greatly appereciated as well as if I had any questions or concerns. He is always willing to help, like optional collaborate sessions. Although I was not able to make it, he was willing to take time out and offer his own time to help us. He also made us really comfortable from the beginning because I wasn't the only one for the first time taking an online class. It seems there were a bunch of us and we were all in the same boat about feeling anxitey and stress about an online class. He made a session for us to familiarize ourselves which was so helpful. Even though the syllabus is right there in front of us, I usually have questions, so even though we're suppose to read it sometimes I don't understand it, it's nice that he will answer our questions without feeling irritated. Every email I got back was very nice, pleasant, and helpful, I didn't feel like, "I'm suppose to know this because it's in the syllabus."
The thing I found most valuable and helpful about Adam Tanners course was how easily accessible he was and how simple it was to follow along with his online course.
While this is an online course, Dr. Tanners is great at communication through technology. I appreciate the speed in which he responds to questions/concerns sent through laulima or e-mail. I also appreciate the organization in which Dr. Tanners upholds in laulima.
I loved how organized he is! Everything is posted on the Laulima page for us to see deadlines and grades. I got everything done on time because there was no confusion.
Most valuable and helpful about Adam Tanners, was that he made everything accessible online. He was well organized and knew what he was doing. I liked that he designated specific days that we could meet on blackboard and we would discuss anything we covered that far from the course. I also liked that he worked around our schedules and made sure that it was convenient for all in the class.
He really knew his subject. His answers to questions I had were awesome! I learned a lot!
Very knowledgable and understanding. He did not pass judgement on anyone.
He was patient and wanted us to succeed so he taught us well.
His quickness in response, and the helpful flashcard for preparing the classroom, and introduction for each chapter.
organization and structure of this course was better than any other online class ive ever taken.
Teacher was very organized and expectations of class were very clear. The first collaborative session explained how the class was conducted and no other online courses took the time to do that. He responded to emails very quickly and was very accommodating.

23. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?
This was my first online course ever, and I found it so beautiful and well organized that I didn't have any questions regarding how to learn with the material. Super, I hope that other online courses would be like that.
I enjoyed learning how special educations teachers try their hardest to help out their students and make them feel comfortable. I liked doing the modules because it taught me all the important aspects of special education teachers.
Collaborate sessions, discussion posts, and assignments. I liked the collaborate sessions because I learned a lot from them and it gave us a chance to be like a classroom where you could hear the professor, the students asking questions, and we could interact with each other. Discussion posts were also a plus for me because we got to read what our other classmates experienced and how they relate to this course. The assignments were the best, this is how I did my assignments, I would read the chapter first, take the quiz, then watch the videos then do my discussion post. For me, it took awhile until I found my rythem or a way for me to learn and absorb the information where it would stick, so this system helped me. It was also nice to go from reading to watching, please keep that. I could give my computer a break and save some trees this semester with this class.
I really enjoyed learning about the different teaching techniques that was introduced throughout this course as I plan to use them one day in my own classroom.
I enjoyed the weekly activities that were planned for us the most. Simply putting me in other people's shoes was an effective way to expose us to students with disabilities.
The forum responses.
I liked that I was able to do this course at my own pace. I liked that as long as I knew what I had to do and when I needed to turn it in, with no pressure, it really made taking an online class stress free, and that is what I was afraid of.
I loved all the resources that Dr. Tanners made available to us in each week's module.
collaborate disscussions
How clear the directions were and how he expected a reasonable amount of work from us since the majority of us are full time students who are mostly also working.
quizzes are available to retake with no time limit.
Assignments, quizzes and collaborative sessions were clearly assigned. Expectations and the way the course was held was very clear.
24. Which aspects of the course did you like least?
Nothing.
I did not like remembering to do the modules every week :(
That we didn't have any exams or midterms, there was just a final.
I didn't find any aspect of the course hard to understand, therefore, no comments here.

The collaborate sessions because I was not able to attend them and watching them back was not as enjoyable because I couldn't participate.
There was nothing that I didn't like at all about this course. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the course.
Can't think of any. I liked how you had us complete 2 responses for other classmates and not 3 or more. It kept it at a perfect amount so I was able to really give you my actual thoughts and not BS my way just to get them done.

26. Other comments:
Thank you Dr.Tanners, you gave another perspective on how teachers should be, nice with everyone.
I was really curious why we didn't have any midterms or exams until the end? We found out that it's a timed exam and it averages less than 2 minutes for each question, so that means we need to know it. There's no flipping around in the book or going through the modules, so we need to know it. This course is so rich in content that I feel it's too broad, so maybe if it was broken up it would be easier. Not to mention, it is on materials fromt he beinning of class until the end.
Thank you Dr. Tanners for making this semester full of knowledge, skills, and experience.
great course. great teacher
The best online teacher i have ever had. Everything about the course is so clear you don't need to ask any question.
