This was a very hard class for me, being an entrepreneurship major, but Bystrom is a very good teacher. That being said, I don't think it should be a requirement for entrepreneurship majors!
Overall I really enjoyed this course and after completing it I wish I took up finance as my second major instead of marketing. I learned a lot of concepts that I will be able to use when I start up my own business. However I wish there was more example or practices problems in the class. If there were more homework problems or example work then it would've been easier to prepare for the exams. It was hard to prepare for them without a lot of different questions to practice or to study.
I feel like I learned more in this class than in all my other finance classes combined. Excellent professor and excellent course!
One of the best teachers Shidler has to offer. It's an absolute shame that he's only a lecturer. Practitioners, not academics, are the ones who can really add true value to students' education. Only someone who's actually structured deals can truly teach a student how to communicate effectively to investors, and Ben Bystrom has that experience.
I really enjoyed Professor Bystrom's class this semester. I felt that the exams and the projects were appropriate to learn what what we needed to in order to get a good idea of what it would be like to ask investors for money when starting a new venture. He is a great teacher and is very helpful in his office hours. I would recommend this teacher to other students and I would take a class of his again.
He was really helpful in assisting us with questions or problems with our assignments.
Professor moved extremely fast during lectures making understanding material hard. Slides were poor as well. Overall, an average class but I was expecting more in terms of learning useful material.

I think you should not require students to buy the book. All knowledge came from your powerpoints.

Prof Bystrom is a very helpful teacher and cares to help the students understand the course material
Fair class with hard material. Slides aren't the easiest to follow. Did learn some useful material about credit and real estate. Ok class overall.
Wonderful enthusiasm and great stories. I look forward to being in your classes next semester.
I really enjoyed this course. Professor Bystrom is a professional in what he does. He is an excellent instructor, and I learned a lot in this course. If I wasn't already graduating, I would definitely look into taking other courses taught by Professor Bystrom. Thank you for an awesome spring semester, I had a great time in your Banking class. I do apologize for occasionally dosing off in class, I don't ever mean to. Have a great summer!
One of the best teachers in Shidler. Really commanded the attention of the class with his experience, levity, and clarity. Would take a course with him again if given the opportunity. He should be paid more... and a certain other awesome Finance professor.
I like that our projects were on things that would be applicable to the real world. Professor Bystrom is very good at teaching, but if I had to make up classes, he was very helpful in office hours as well. I would take his class again and I would recommend him to other students. I spoke with Professor Bystrom about actually working in a bank, he was very knowledgeable about this too. It is helpful to learn from a professor who has field experience in the subject that they are teaching.
Professor Bystrom is one of the most helpful teachers I have had during my undergraduate studies. I am grateful for his commitment to his students. I would not have gotten my internship if it wasn't for his help or the knowledge I acquired in this class.

You are the best professor I've ever had!
One of the best courses I've taken in the MBA program. Very straightforward. Didn't have to buy a textbook or do meaningless reading. Instructor gave us the important points, and made things simple. This is how all classes should be.
He's one of the best professors in Shidler.

Thank you .
Great teacher, great teaching that is as relatable and easy to understand as finance can be. If I get a bad grade, it's honestly not his fault and all of mines because he gives us all the resources he can, class and office time, and makes it relevant. I couldn't ask for a better finance teacher!
I was very worried about taking this class because I heard it was very hard. But Professor Bystrom was an excellent teacher. He was able to explain the complex material in a way that made it easier to understand.
Very hard class, especially for a non-finance major! But Professor Bystrom definitely is there to help out whenever I have a question or don't understand certain terminology or formulas.
great at explaining difficult finance material. class was challenging but professor bystrom's teaching made it easy to grasp the material.
For someone who has absolutely no interest in business finance, I really enjoyed this class. Mr. Bystrom was helpful and organized, and while the work was difficult, he made me feel like I was capable of doing it and made it very understandable. I really liked having him as a teacher and would suggest him to anyone who has to take BUS 314.
I enjoyed the class this semester. I wasn't expecting business finance to be really interesting and there's a lot that I could apply to my career field after taking Professor Bystrom's class. I'll be taking another class from Professor Bystrom next semester. I'm usually not very good with math, however the way the topics were explained helped me to understand the material.
Very nice professor. Easy going, each to approach for help. Makes himself available for extra help. Lectures are a bit dry. Staring at slides with lots of text can be kind of boring after a while. Perhaps more study of current and/or recent events (eg- Financial Crisis) to make concepts covered in class more relatable.

Great class, and great teacher. Intelligent and enthusiastic. Interesting course topic, I wish there were more case studies though instead of made up cases. There are so many great entrepreneurial ventures, I would have enjoyed other teaching methods besides PPT slides. Online videos, case studies, news articles, etc. Overall the best class I've taken from Shidler.
Sometimes it's hard to understand Prof. Bystrom because he's too brilliant for my brain to handle. It would be helpful to turn it down a notch or two so that I can understand the financial concepts he's explaining.
Excellent professor.
He is a great professor that has an extraordinary amount of knowledge about finance. Thank you professor.
Great Class!
This was a great course! I feel this course should be required for all business students in Shidler and that the skills gained will benefit every individual in their careers and lives. Ben Bystrom has a great understanding of finance and the financial performance of companies. It was very helpful learning from Mr. Bystrom because I feel he effectively presents the material that allows students to follow along and enhance their understanding. I would have liked to go over certain concepts a bit more because I feel we covered the material fairly quickly. Overall GREAT course with an awesome instructor!! Thanks Mr. Bystrom
I really enjoyed this course and I felt that professor Bystrom was an excellent teacher. I really learned a lot and was able to follow all of the material that was given to us. The final project was a great way to apply all of the concepts we learned in a realistic scenario. Although there was a great deal of work involved in the group projects, I felt that it was absolutely worth it. Overall, great class!
Professor Bystrom was the best lecturer I've had. It was easy to see that his experience in this field shone through during class, which was a huge benefit. I felt this course was extremely relevant for life, compared to classes I have taken in the past. I would recommend any finance major this class.
Originally, I thought this course was going to be for small entrepreneur businesses, not IPO potential businesses. I think more relevant information on small business Finance, would be more helpful. But it is closely related, regardless.
Solid all around professor.
Mr. Bystrom is a great professor. His lectures are so informative. I didn't even need to use my textbook. I just wish I didn't purchase the book.

Ben is very well-informed and has a teaching style that encourages understanding and appreciation of finance concepts. I really liked this class for its relevance to my preferred field (Finance) and it provided different avenues of learning - class discussions, practice quizzes, excel exercises, group reporting etc. Overall great class!
It would have been nice to have supplemental reading materials to accompany the lectures, especially since the course covered a broad range of topics.

I really enjoyed this class. The teaching style suited me very well. I always prefer practical examples and repetition that different sections together. Explanations were also very thorough and clear. I've definitely came out knowing a lot more than coming into the class. The only criticism is to not tolerate tardiness. If a student is late, don't wait. Every other student that showed up on time is missing out on minutes of lecture time, questions, etc. Other than that, I wish the class was longer. I feel I could have continued learning a lot more.
Very supportive, helpful professor. It was great to learn this subject from him given his background and comfort with the material. He is one of the only professors at Shidler in my year and a half that is not only great at the subject but also great as an instructor - clearly explaining topics in vernacular we can understand. My only feedback would be to hold students to being on time. Many days we waited for late students which wasted time and discouraged any of us from being on time.
Great class! I learned a lot

Excellent Work.
Professor Bystrom has helped me tremendously during this summer session. I have been very busy with 3 classes along with athletics and he took extra time to help explain concepts to me. A great help and a friend and supporter of student-athletes.
Thank you for teaching over the summer.
Excellent professor. One of the best in Shidler.
Professor Bystrom is a great teacher and he offers great insight to the students. He also shares his professional experience, which makes the class enjoyable.
I am surprised about how knowledgeable professor Bystrom is, He is so far the best professor I have ever had at the University. He uses all the minutes, seconds of his time to deliver in a time matter as well presenting a strong and good material for the class. Great person, Powerful mind, inspiration for future generations. Professor Bystrom is the best.
Though this subject was a bit hard for me to fully grasp, I enjoyed Ben Bystrom as a professor and thought he was very excited about what he was teaching. He is approachable and funny during class time and explained things fairly well. Maybe its just that my understanding of this subject is fairly sparse. The curve that he provided helped a lot!!!
Professor Bystrom did an extremely good job of relating course material to current and relevant events, situations, etc. His class was well organized and easy to follow along because of the notes that he provided, and it was especially helpful to have printouts ahead of time to focus my notetaking more on the lecture and details rather than the basic fundamentals. He definitely showed enthusiasm and a knowledge for the course content, and I would happily take another class from this instructor.
Bystrom is a great teacher and tied real life examples to the curriculum to help students grasp economic concepts.
He has a lot of knowledge in this course and I believe that he explained everything well. It seemed like he really liked to teach this course. He is a great teacher.
The textbook was unnecessary. Professor Bystrom did very well to communicate all important material and therefore rendered the book unimportant. This occurs very often with classes; textbooks are relatively pointless when the professor is good because they can communicate effectively. The only instances where texts are important is when the professors are lacking in the teaching and communication skills.
Best, most useful econ class I've taken in university so far. Bystrom's notes style is great.
Great summer, very knowledgable on the subject and used great examples to tie things in. I also enjoyed the sense of humor Ben has. Great class.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! He is so smart. He really knows what he is talking about and makes it easy for us to understand it. I wish all the Professors were as smart and passionate in their subjects as he is.
I enjoy hearing his experiences when he applies it to the lecture. His handouts and teaching manner are very helpful.

I think this is a great class, and Mr . Bystrom did an excellent job.

I wish there were more in class exercises to practice the formulas and theories. Sometimes it felt we moved too fast through the material. As a finance major it wasn't too difficult but it is probably much harder for an Entr. major. I learned a bit more and reinforced m previous knowledge in finance.
Outstanding class. I wish I could have taken more classes with Professor Bystrom. He really understands how to teach the material in a way that gets students to learn and retain all the information.
The book was not necessary. And far too expensive
Strongly Agree on every button doesn't really help, however I really enjoyed the class and Professor Bystrom's knowledge of the subject is vast! I would recommend him to anyone trying to learn about finance. Great instructor, with great knowledge!
Great class informative always love having you as a professor in finance. Always clear and informative during lecture. And very helpful if questions arise.
The In-Class exercises help me to better understand the financial material covered in class. I really enjoyed doing the final project, guidelines on what should be in the presentation would have been helpful. I know we went over it in class, but maybe a powerpoint or word doc would have been helpful. Overall, I would recommend him to other students. Shidler needs more teachers like Ben.
My favorite professor at UH! I took almost every class professor Bystrom taught. FIN 341 was very intense and I have struggled a lot. It was worth it, I learned a tremendous amount of helpful financial tools that I can now apply in real-life situation. I really liked the group project, because we had to come up with an idea, be creative, and at the same time apply all the methods that we learned in class. The excel projects were especially challenging for me, although it was not the first or second times that I have dealt with spread sheets. The in-class assignments were also very helpful because they applied the course material and prepared the students for the exams.
Professor Bystrom is a very helpful finance teacher and knows his stuff. A lot of the times I am lost in class but if you see him during his office hours, he helps you until you understand the material.
now I get hot and bothered looking at p/e ratios
Professor Bystrom is fantastic in terms of being available to help out his student. I have seen Professor Bystrom work both within and outside office hours in order to insure students succeed. I do feel that the course provided enough supplemental material to be ready for the exams. The areas of improvement include finding a more relevant and interactive textbook. This textbook was hardly used and we paid $224 for it new at the bookstore. That is a lot of money for something that is only going to collect dust on top my bookshelf. The course should also find some real entrepreneurial cases. The Healthy to Go example is good, but how about making the assignment based on an actual start up with real figures. I also want to disclose that although you do collect the exams back. There are students that have managed to still find ways to cheat on the exam. For example one student hardly showed up to class and she manages to get a 100% on the exam. It is really unfair that this student who cheated will manage to get a better grade then the rest of us who do come to class everyday and don't cheat. And this student will get recognition for scoring a perfect. You should dock additional points for frequent absences, do not assume that the class work is enough punishment. Make a clear mandate (e.g more then 3 unexcused absences is subject to deduction). You should also provide a formal group eval paper, rather then just email. All the teachers at Shidler that I have had have an actual evaluation template. The email eval format is just not sufficient and an actual document would be preferred.

I am grateful for the in-class assignments, as I feel I learned a lot from such hands on learning.
Professor Bystrom was very knowledgeable in the subject taught and I'm glad he had experience in the banking industry so that he could relate a lot of the course material to real life. Looking into different scenarios of the banking world from consumer, corporate, lending, and real estate opened up my mind to what banking deals with. By taking this course I had learned far more than I expected and hope to gain more knowledge in other courses taught by Professor Bystrom.
The exams are given to much weight in the course. You could divide the course content into various other percentages. The allocation of points need to be reconsidered. For an exam 25% is significant, a lot of diligent students under-performed. One day determined a lot for some really diligent students. Also the project entailed a lot of work for some of us. You could give extra points to the students that did extra work. I also felt there could have been more materials given to us before the midterm.
One of the best teachers/professors I have ever had. Extreme passion for banking and was displayed when lecturing, getting others, including myself passionate about banking as well. By far the best professor at UH.
Great teacher! I wish that he taught every finance course in Shidler. Not only is he enthusiastic about the material, he has great experience in the industry. I have recommended him and this course to friends.
First of all, thank you very much for being a such helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful teacher, I am very happy for learning from you again, you have provided us not only the knowledge from the textbook, but also valuable insight and perspective from financial industry. Hopefully I can learn some more from you in the future! Remember, teachers or professors are always undervalue, your contributions to the society are way more valuable than the privacy practice in the finance industry. Thank you again for all your contributions and I will work my-self up to the top and treat you dinner in the future!

Some of the concepts that we went over were sometimes difficult to grasp. Overall great subject and learned a lot about the bank industry.

Professor Bystrom is always enthusiastic about finance which made it fun to learn. With his lessons and real life experiences that he shared, I learned a lot! This is one of the most valuable classes offered.
Interesting subject and very well covered.
Usually, I like to start by providing a recommendation of something that can/should be changed in the course before highlighting the positive aspects of the course, but I can't think of anything that was wrong. First, I liked how the assignments and exams were very objective. Nothing is worse than being evaluated based on subjective material where you know the evaluation is biased and based on favoritisim or "butt-kissing". In this course, however, the grades/evaluation was strictly objective, with right/wrong answers and right/wrong methods and procedures to doing things. This makes it easier to believe that you are being fairly evaluated, which motivates one to work hard, because if they work hard, then they will succeed. Another thing I liked about the course was there was a lot of inclass excel problems that we worked on. This was really beneficial not only because it allowed us to practice what we were being taught, but it also allowed us to make mistakes in front of the professor and learn from them. I felt that the number of assignments and exams for the course was adequate. Admittedly it was a little intense during the last half of the course because everything was due at that time, but I dont feel there is any way around it. After all, we have to learn the material before we can do the projects. The lectures and material were all clear and he taught in way that made things easy to understand. Even more importantly, if there was something that was unclear, the professor made himself available all day, more-or-less, to help. For those of us who work during the day, we could call him on his cell and get help. Now that I am done with the MBA program, I can say with certainty, this is one of the best professors in the program. He's definitely in the top 4. You know a professor is great when his passion for the subject is passed on to the students, and I must say, his passion for finance has rubbed off onto me to the point where I'm considering a career change and going into finance. I cant stress enough that if the Shidler MBA program wishes to become a world-class program, they need to do everything they can do in order to retain Professor Bystrom.
I really enjoyed his class.
Needs to to a better job of explaining the calculations. Uses too many acronyms and abbreviated concepts. I have no idea if EV means equity value or enterprise value. I don't know what pre-money or post-money is. I don't know what levered and unlevered is referring to. The handouts are not enough. You need to actually show us what to do at least once, instead of giving us a a worksheet and telling us to get to it.
Professor Bystrom is passionate about the subject matter and did a great job laying out the expectations for the assignments and exams.

He is really good at explaining a complicated subject. He creates a comfortable learning environment.
I learned a lot.
Very good professor. I am generally not very good at finance, and was worried how I would do in BUS 314, but with Bystrom I am able to follow along and do well. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain. I would highly recommend to anyone to take this class from him.
Great teacher!
This seems like a challenging class for most people, but Bystrom did a good job of passing along his immense knowledge to us. His in class lectures were great and the exercises were a good way to learn this stuff. He is very excited about this type of stuff and was able to make us understand it as well (for the most part). One thing I would say, if possible, it would be better to give out the group assignments earlier. Its a little stressful getting them this late in the semester.
Great Class best teacher at Shidler.
No issue with this class. I enjoyed the entire semester. If there was any thing I would nitpick on is the group projects. My group was so useless... I had to complete the project by myself. I feel that there should be some sort of accountability of a group member's actions in a project. Why should I get a lower grade due to doing all the work and not having input. On top of that, why should the group get all the same grade when the weight of the work clearly lies with 1 or 2 people out of 5. It is sad to admit, but sometimes you just have to be really stern on group cooperation and teamwork.
Great finance teacher. Loved the pace of the course and the lecture was very appropriate it elaborated on the textbook which only allowed us to understand content even more.
I think it would be beneficial to go over a problem step by step before we are asked to do it individually. I felt lost many times because I didn't kow where to start when we were given a problem to solve in class.

Professor Bystrom is the man. The material is explained clearly and gives real cases which I find beneficial in learning the material.
I despise finance courses, but Professor Bystrom's class is an exception. He was a wealth of information, and one of the few teachers willing to answer student questions (especially useful during in-class assignments) without being condescending. As an entrepreneurship major, it was refreshing to see a professor teach with hopes of students taking risks and succeeding. My only issue is with the group work. As FIN341 is a course that I believe is a finance elective/entrepreneurship core, there was a huge disparity in financial ability. While working on group financial statements, I often heard other groups had one/two people do all the financials, and everyone else either cruised, or were given non-number reliant parts. Overall, one of the best courses i've taken in Shidler (even if I don't get a very good grade for it)
book was hard to understand. I don't think i gained from it at all. professor was great, good attitude, treated students with respect, and had excellent stories of his working days. Subject matter was very hard to grasp for me. A lot of students were lost as well. final project was interesting. i would recommend the instructor but not the text or the class.
I wish that the excel project was completed a little earlier because I definitely felt rushed finishing the final project in two weeks time especially considering we had a November month full of holidays. Other than that I enjoyed the class thus far.
Professor Bystrom is perhaps the best instructor I've had yet. Although the class itself was pretty late in the afternoon (3-4:15pm) and I had trouble staying awake at times, I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the difficult concepts of Entrepreneurial Finance from Professor Bystrom. Please keep up the good work, it is obvious that he genuinely cares for the students of Shidler. Thank you.
This is a very difficult class but he is a great teacher. I had bad finance teachers in the past which affected where I started off in this course but he helped me to catch up. If I or my group needed help he was very willing to help and would take time out of his schedule to accommodate. Some cons of this class were the time it was held, 3:00 - 4:15 for a finance class is late and can make it hard to focus. Also the PowerPoint lectures would get boring so I would make a suggestion to somehow make the class more entertaining, like showing videos here and there or making real life scenarios that pertain to students to help them learn the material in a fun way. I did however like the class assignments, it gave us hands-on experience with the problems and helped us practice. It was also interactive so we weren't just getting lectured too. I also enjoyed the guest speakers because hearing from them helped me get valuable information from outside professionals. Overall this was a good class. Difficult but useful.
I believe that Professor Bystrom is a great teacher, and makes every class he teaches enjoyable. He also provides relative guess speakers, and is very helpful when asked.
Professor Bystrom has a very clear and concise teaching style that makes difficult concepts easy to understand. He makes class interesting and creative.
Great teacher!

I will admit, during the first class, I was a little worried about the class/professor because for some odd reason, I had trouble understand what he was trying to say during his lecture. It wasn't a language issue or the words he used, but for some reason which I can't explain, I just had a difficult time following him. The second class was a little better and from the third class on, he has been a remarkable instructor. First, my only recommendation to him would be to get rid of the ppt presentation project, and instead, have two excel projects. I think the students got more out of the excel project than the ppt project. Otherwise, he was VERY knowledegeable about the topics that he teaches, but at the same time, knows how to "dumb-down" the concepts so even non-finance majors can follow him. This is very important because many of the MBA candidates are not business majors. Also, the workload was adequate. I also liked the fact that he covered a lot of different topics in finance and didnt just focus on only banking or only equities or debt. He was more than willing to help out the students which is also very important in a complicated subject like this. Probably one of the best things about this class was that the grading appeared to be more fair as the exams were multiple choice and so there was a right/wrong answer. Ive had classes where the grading was very subjective and you get the sense of unfair grading. The fact that this course's grading was done fairly motivates students to try their best because they know that if they try their hardest then they are more likely to get great grades. Overall, a great experience and if the Shidler College of Business wishes to become a world-class institution, it needs to retain and reward professors like Benjamin Bystrom.
An excellent teacher and lecturer. He is extremely intelligent but retains humility while communicating effectively.
I have had professor Bystrom for many classes in the past. He is an outstanding teacher. I like his methodology practicality when it comes to teaching. He always has time to help students out when asked. I'm sad that this will be my last class with him.
He was always very helpful and explained finance in simple terms, which I appreciated because I am not financed focus.

Dr. Bystrom is very professional and understanding. I think I would like him to connect the financial calculations more to managerial decision-making skills in his class.
Prof. Bystrom has been very helpful and has made himself available whenever help was needed. His real-world experience in the subject matter makes the learning material relevant and very interesting. Given the complexity of some of the topics such as real estate and credit analysis, perhaps more examples (i.e. handouts, classroom examples, etc.) might help reinforce some of the more difficult aspects of these topics.

For exam review i would suggest a more computational based review with in depth examples demonstrated in many different ways. Overall this was an excellent course and i would highly recommend Professor Bystrom to my peers.
Explain concepts more. Felt like professor assumed we all already knew finance terms and concepts. Course was a little difficult to understand from the perspective of a student who is not familiar with finance.
Will definitely recommend.
One recommendation is maybe not too have a big percentages on exams because both midterms and final exams are worth 65% of our grade because I know that some people are not that good in taking exams. Maybe put more points on HW for at least giving an effort for the class. Other than that, he is a really great professor that knows his material well.
The exams were extremely difficult.
None
Professor Bystrom explains things very clearly. He also grades very fairly and overall he was a very good professor and I'm glad to have taken his class.
Economics was never a subject that I was interested in, but after taking BUS 313 from Mr. Bystrom, I feel like I finally understand the material. Mr. Bystrom uses real life examples from when he worked in the industry and that makes it easier for me to relate. He is also a fair grader. For the homework assignments he gives you credit for your effort which I can appreciate because economics is a pretty complex subject.
Professor Bystrom is an excellent lecturer. I was pleased to have him as my Business 313 instructor. A few recommendations for the course: 1) On the midterm students felt they did not do as good because there was not enough time spent on the later chapters. It felt like the first 3 chapters could be covered more quickly, but we went through it slowly instead. Chapters 4-7 seemed like it could use more time and exercises then the first 3 chapters. 2) My other recommendation is to improve the textbook. There are textbooks that provide more better resources then this textbook, such as online exercises, and quizzes you can take online. This textbook is very outdated and you should switch the publisher to someone that will enhance learning through mp3, online quizzes, etc. Other then that the course was very fun to take. I enjoyed the class discussions a lot! Professor Bystrom certainly knows his material.
Fun and excellent class
I found the class really enjoyable and realized all of the econ concepts I didn't quite understand finally became clear in this class. Professor Bystrom teaches this course really well for a class based on concepts: he ties the concepts and material taught to real-world events to make things easier to understand. Hopefully he'll be teaching more courses in my field as he is very knowledgeable in the finance and business field!
Sometimes when he was teaching he would go into real world events and situations that related to the concepts, but a lot of that was really over my head. Once it was time for the tests I was able to grasp the concepts though and I think I have a better understanding of economics and how it works in the world. He is extremely knowledgeable in this topic and if I ever find myself needing some financial advice, Bystrom is definitely someone that I would want to talk to.
Honestly speaking, professor Bystrom has been one of the best instructors I have had the privilege in taking a course with. Extremely knowledgeable in economics and finance. His experiance finance visible and helpful in his teaching. Truly an asset to this university.
Normally I always have something to say, or I'm not 100% satisfied with a class, but I really liked this teacher. He is really funny, has a lot of real world experience that he can relate to the subject matter he's teaching. Since the class is only 6 weeks long, everything is more succinct, which I like. I would have liked to have taken a class with this professor for 16 weeks, I would have looked forward to going to class and showed up every day. I really liked him and he made the subject matter fun to learn.
Spectacular job. Always prepared. Always seems to have the answers to just about any questions relating to course material and international current events. Tells funny stories and relates to the real world from time to time to liven up the material. Professor Bystrom is a very good teacher.
Professor Bystrom, you are a brilliant lecturer, you presented the course material flawlessly, with perfect a mix of theory and practice. I have understood this dynamic international economic much more deeper. You are one of the best professor in finance department, I am eager to learn from you! Since you have an extensive experience and background in investment banking, I wish you will teach corporate finance (FIN307) in the future!! Thank you very much for teaching us this semester, I love and enjoyed every single class!
I enjoyed his lectures. His stories kept class interesting. The notes he provided was really helpful. Although the class was good and informative, he went a little fast.
Bystrom is very knowledgeable, and following current events is also a topic of the course, used to explain theories.
