| He gives second chances to those who do not do well on the quizzes and midterm. He has you prepare for a few chapters for the quizzes and midterm but then the tests will be on one to three questions from the homework in a particular chapter. Focus on the homework, even though they are not graded they are very important to exams and quizzes. |
| find another method of teaching, other than just writing blind equations on the board over and
over, give some examples and go over real problems that are similar to what were actually gonna be
tested on. |
| I really like how he never used a power point, but rather wrote on the board. I feel as if drawing his own graphs and examples, even if they were taken from the book, actually showed that he knew what he was teaching. Best class of my semester. |
| Although it did not affect my class experience, I noticed widespread cheating during tests and quizzes that bothered me. If free-riders could be weeded out of the class by enforcing UH's cheating policy, it may have been more comfortable and rewarding for the students who have morals. |
| I learned a lot and expanded the knowledge I already knew. I am glad this is
a required course and I am glad I took it with this professor. |
| In addition, as far as grading, I felt that exams and quizzes were not based on very many points. Therefore misunderstanding one problem could bring down the whole grade for the exam. I also thought that the exams were poorly constructed. |
| The only thing I would add to the course would be a powerpoint presentation.
Professor Endress didn't have notes for us to follow, so sometimes I felt as
though I was understanding a concept. |
