6. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the class and the surprisingly productive improvised discussions that arose from questions within the lecture. The professor related the material to real-world examples VERY well.
He did example problems everyday.
Lectures and class discussions, as well as online homework problems.
myeconlab, because it was the only thing that actually taught me anything.
MyEconLab helps you understand the material.
The information we learned and the professor's willingness to take time to discuss each topic so we all understand.
Nearly all content was essential in building a firm grasp of intermediate level micro.
7. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
I had problems with "myeconlab" that were unavoidable by the professor. Just minor glitches and bugs that made homework a pain in the butt.
The online homework was not helpful for me. I would have preferred that either the homework was graded or that assignments were given in a paper form in then later collected.
I felt it was all valuable.
discussion
The textbook does not help at all. There were not enough examples and teaching of how to get solutions.
Nothing.
I thought that Professor Endress did not explain the material well to the class. I got lost a lot with the formulas and graphs. For me, someone who needs visual and conceptual things explained with examples, this class did not do it for me. Things were jotted on the board with out much explanation, and taken as given, just know it or dont know it. I think that applying things into real life examples and explaining more slowly would be helpful.

18. Other comments:
Although it did not affect my class experience, I noticed widespread cheating during tests and quizzes that bothered me. If free-riders could be weeded out of the class by enforcing UH's cheating policy, it may have been more comfortable and rewarding for the students who have morals.
The only thing I would add to the course would be a powerpoint presentation. Professor Endress didn't have notes for us to follow, so sometimes I felt as though I was understanding a concept.
find another method of teaching, other than just writing blind equations on the board over and over, give some examples and go over real problems that are similar to what were actually gonna be tested on.
He gives second chances to those who do not do well on the quizzes and midterm. He has you prepare for a few chapters for the quizzes and midterm but then the tests will be on one to three questions from the homework in a particular chapter. Focus on the homework, even though they are not graded they are very important to exams and quizzes.
I learned a lot and expanded the knowledge I already knew. I am glad this is a required course and I am glad I took it with this professor.
In addition, as far as grading, I felt that exams and quizzes were not based on very many points. Therefore misunderstanding one problem could bring down the whole grade for the exam. I also thought that the exams were poorly constructed.
I really like how he never used a power point, but rather wrote on the board. I feel as if drawing his own graphs and examples, even if they were taken from the book, actually showed that he knew what he was teaching. Best class of my semester.
