Pharmacology 601 is one of the most interesting classes I have taking in UH Manoa. It has introduced Pharmacology to me as an exciting field of medicine that is worth pursuing. The homework and projects that are given, test the fundamental topics discussed in class. Dr. Collier's powerpoints and handouts make hard concepts easier to understand. Her examinations are challenging but fair. I really enjoyed how approachable she is and her expedient replies to emails.
The class was well structured and the handouts were extremely beneficial. The homework was helpful in preparing for the class exams. Tangential stories were sometimes helpful in relating to the coursework, but often times brevity would have been preferred. Overall, this was a difficult class, but extremely comprehensive for a good foundation in pharmacology.
Abby's class has been one of the most enriching and rewarding experience here at UH Manoa. Abby's passion for pharmacology is reflected during her lectures. It was a privilege to have been taught by a professor who is at the top of her game. This Kiwi rocks !!!!
I feel very fortunate to have been able to experience two courses taught by Abby. She is so knowledgeable in her field, as well as in the other disciplines, she is literally bursting with information--in a good way of course. I truly admire this about her. I find it very inspiring, and it evokes the desire in me to be as well-rounded as she. Personally, I feel that professors like Abby are so important to students like myself and it's unfortunate that I've only encountered a few throughout my graduate studies. I also feel that she has her students' best interest in mind, she is very approachable and available in person and by email at all hours of the night, and her tests and assignments really push us to reach a greater potential. Again, I am very grateful to have learned pharmacology from Abby. The students and the University is very fortunate to have a professor of her caliber.

Shogo did a great job helping us learn the concepts and applications necessary for drug development. He also was very clear in articulating the strengths and weaknesses of the modeling methodology, and practicality of the simulations.
Mr. Miyagi was very knowledgable regarding the subject of the course. His presentations were effective and clear in teaching the material for the day. Mr. Miyagi was also approachable and helpful in answering questions and assisting in understanding the class assignments. I would definitely take another course with Mr. Miyagi as a lecturer.
