and thought provoking. |
| This has been one of my favorite classes during my English major career. As the semester comes to
an end, I feel as if I have learned a great deal about Asian American Literature. Cheryl is an excellent
teacher. She challenged us and she created a comfortable environment for students to share their
thoughts. She even expanded her teaching beyond literature to film. I found this very valuable. I
would take another class from her in the future. |

| I really enjoyed Naruse's teaching style. At first, I was intimidated at her aggressiveness to
assert her teachings and make sure that we were serious about taking the course, but after I
realized how much she knew how to implement current trends in society into the literature we
read, I found it very exciting to learn the material.
I learned a great deal in this class and I think Naruse is her finest work teaching the Asian
American Literature class. |
