31. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| She always ask if there's any question during her lecture. We would show our homework
in the beginning of class and she would be concern if we had any wrong and asks us if
we understand what the lesson. If we don't understand, she clearly explains the material
again. |
| She asks her students questions to see whether or not they understand the material and tries her best to answer questions that students may have. |
| She encourages mistakes to be made, which is essentially encouraging students to not be afraid to voice what they have learned. She always asks the following day of having to take the day off if our well being is alright. One of the friendliest teachers ever met. |
| She would constantly ask the class if they understand. She also tries to
make sure that everyone is keeping up with the lessons and if not, she will
help you to catch up. She also thinks about the students who missed class. |
|
|
32. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?
|
| I really like how she teaches each lesson really slow to us, especially because I'm new
to this language. She teaches Korean really clearly and explains why do Korean pepole
was taught this way. She really knows her material and background! |
| This course was taught at a consistent pace, not too fast and not too slow. Also, she did not give her students too much homework and how she clearly explains what is going to be on the exams. |
| It was fun! I cannot believe how much I've learned in this short period of time from scratch. Never have I had a class in history of my college career where I enjoyed the homework and going to class. |
| I liked how she would answer all questions even though they aren't part of
what we are learning. That also helped because sometimes the questions we
ask are part of a lesson we would be covering in the future. I also liked
how much she emphasizes class participation as well as the amount of oral
tests we have. Although the oral test amount is a bit much, I have found
that I understand conversational Korean in real life a bit more easier to
understand due to having test conversations in class often. |
|
|
33. What else would you like to say about this instructor/course?
|
| She is really a great teacher! And I would like to take to teach my Korean 102, 201, &
202 classes. |
| I liked how Teacher Kim always uploads what was covered in class into Laulima and regularly checked her emails. |
| ì? ì??ë?? 짱!! |
| Definitely not a slack off course. You need to put effort into the studies
in order to keep up. |
|
|
34. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?
|
| Yes I would highly recommend Ms. Ok Kim to other students because she cares about
her students. If students are absent or not doing their work, she encourages them to
come and do their best, that's what I really like about her. |
| Yes, because Teacher Kim makes learning Korean fun and interesting. She is also friendly and she really does care about her students. |
| Definitely would. It was sad to hear she'll be transferring to Manoa because it's too expensive for me to attend, but I'm happy for her to be moving up. UH students will be most pleased. |
| I would definitely recommend her because when she teaches, she speaks to the
students as if we are adults. I have taken Korean classes many times in KCC
and in Korean schools outside of the UH system and I could never stay in
class because of how they spoke to me (as if i was a child). I also like how
she jokes around in class a bit. A little shy when joking around but i find
it quite a charming thing. I also like how she welcomes mistakes and helps
to correct the student in a polite manner. |
