13. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?

I enjoyed the entire scope of the material covered and felt that it was imperative to the preparation of any aspiring educator. Michael Cawdery is a phenomenal instructor that not only constructed his curriculum around conveying pertinent information, but also helped greatly when there was a concept or idea that needed clarification. Michael Cawdery exceeded my expectations as an instructor which in turn made the content of the course much easier to grasp and to put into context. I would highly recommend Michael Cawdery as an instructor to my peers. i liked the new strategies we learned for each students disability I like how he always had an answer to my questions and he didn't treat us like we were below him just because we are students. He is a very fun and entertaining professor and you can tell that he really cares for his students. I liked the group projects/works in this class. Presentations at end of semester, group work/discussions, classmates that showed up to class. Ways to assist students with disabilities, and always keeping an open mind with students and their personal lives. Michael always returns my calls and he makes the time to help me with the problems I having in this course. I liked that professor Cawdery was very knowledgeable about the course material. Teaching a class on teaching is difficult but he made it seem otherwise. He was very friendly and willing to help and he often presented the course work in an interesting, hands-on way. The final project. Allowing students to explore material by viewing websites and articles instead of a straight lecture. Learning about the different groups that we will teach when we have our own classroom. And methods and stratergies to help better their learning. The best aspect of the course was that we go over the homework throughout the week so that by the time Sunday comes (homework due date), we have an idea on how to complete the work. I also like the positive atmosphere of the class.

14. Which aspects of the course did you like least?

Nothing. class lectures There was nothing that I like least everything was great. Some students could not keep up with the class due to other class workload and lack of time management, jobs, social obligations etc... As a result, Attendance in class was sometimes low. N/A Not grading our assignments on time. I'm not a fan of online assignments because I personally just forget to submit them by a certain time. Other than that, I did not dislike anything about the course. Reading long articles. the environment is in a relaxed setting and everyone gets along with each other honestly, the readings. If everything was a youtube video, that would be cool. I didn't like how our Final Project was explained to us. I think the instructions should be more precise and clear.

15. My overall evaluation of this course is...

Wonderful. I know that this course is actually an elective ED course, but in my humble opinion this is a course that contains curriculum that should be required for all AAT students. Honestly, I cannot see becoming a teacher without covering the information that was taught in this class. i liked this course it was very life changing and inspirational for me whewn i become a teacher. i learned many strategies and different disabilities in this course. Excellent! I love this class. It helped me to see the classroom in a different way towards students. It is the first face to face for this course and went pretty well. Mr. Cawdery was accommodating and flexible to help students achieve their goal. Excellent, Professor is easy to understand, always available for help, always replies to emails, always making the students feel comfortable. Michael is very understanding and available when you need him. This course is excellent. Very thorough and everything profess Cawdery presents is relevant. The final project, in which we needed to go out into the education community and meet with an educator or organization, was a great way to have us internalize everything we had learned throughout the semester. It's cool. excellent because I feel more prepared to tackle students with challenges I really do enjoy this class. I reccomend this course to EVERYONE who wants to be a teacher. get exposed now and learn more later. This course was very informative. I like how there's a reoccuring theme throughtout the semester. Overall, this course was good.

Great job Michael! Your skills are quite refined, and your attitude and demeanor are highly conducive to producing successful students. Thank you for your time and effort this semester. I would highly recommend this class to other future teachers. It was a great course and I hope many of the future teachers take this class. Thank you Mr. Cawdery!! 15. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?

i enjoyed the forums, they were always very interesting I really liked the text book and how the course walked us through it and had us think about all aspects of our teaching and have us work up presentations, first day scripts, room organization, etc. I liked how Michael Cawdery accepts late work assignments. Good materials to prepare for teaching I really liked the way Professor Cawdery helped me out via email. Anytime I had a question, he always responded in a very timely manner. I especially liked how all the ED classes in laulima are almost exactly the same (format wise) so no matter what professor I have, I know the format of their Laulima tab will be similar. I liked the forums and the assignments which was really resourceful for me in my Educational Journey about learning more about education. The forums and most of the assignments. It was so organized. Although it was not a face-to-face class, I was able to gain several knowleadge via Laulima that I will be able to apply into my actual situation. Everything, even though I had/have the experience of working in the education field it is always great to learn and gain new knowledge. Video clips were helpful I loved the class, and the information it provided about classroom management for teachers. It is really helpful and will also be helpful in the future! Organization All assignments were very interesting and excellent put together. A lot of times the assignments and reading helped me in my own class. The aspects that I really enjoyed were the classroom display, classroom management, watching Harry Wong emphasizing the importance of classroom procedures and routines. ALL i liked the interaction that happened in class every class and we are always engaged hands on learning I enjoyed the the entire course from the material it's self to the activities, group work, and projects He used videos, hands-on activities, and incorporated group work. Very understanding and appreciative. Encouraged students to share their ideas and made everyone's responses relevant. I liked that there was a classroom work day as well as a strong internet component. The videos we watched in class. I liked every thing about the course. The instructor made each and every class enjoyable and interesting. I hope to have this instructor for more of my education courses. I liked the fact that he took the time to make sure we understood the class and objectives. He gave me sense of seeing what it is to become a teacher. Also he made class enjoyable and made sure me were okay and if not then he was always there to help me. I liked that Mr. Cawdery always made the class fun every time I stepped into the classroom. I enjoyed the forums. I was able to view perspectives of different students which helped me understand topics on another level in which I had not the first time. In addition, I enjoyed the videos that we watched in class in which we had to identify classroom management strageties. He is an active and good instructor. Most of the assignments were relevant and helpful. I like how Michael Cawdery taught this course with a lot of passion and knowledge. He is a very great speaker and encourages his students to do their best. He is a great mentor and gives the best advice about classroom management. I enjoy working in class and doing group activities. We did hands on activities and things that we can apply to our daily life. that we talked about the work that was going to be on the fourms so it made the work easier to do when it came time to do it. Mr cawderys willingness to help us The big projects were broken up into parts. Liked that, also liked that there were models and examples for each portion. Made it relevant The aspects that I liked best was that the professor gave much time to turn in or complete assignments, gave fast responses to e-mails, and offered help and possible resources and/or services to help me succeed in the class. That he is always willing to help his students no matter what. He was very consistent with helping his students when they needed his assistance. What I like about this course is that Mr. Cawdery will work with students with clarity and any student will feel comfortable to approach him. Prof. Cawdery is a very professional and personal instructor. Nowadays, this is a very rare quality among all teachers of all education levels. I highly recommend Micheal Cawdery for anyone interested in teaching, but also for anyone interested in counseling or those who have a passion for looking into the ethical issues involving public education. He is very persuasive in his views about teaching while at the same time, he is open to outside opinion. The most important thing was that he practiced what he preached. Prof. Cawdery focused on the bigger picture; making learning enjoyable and effective by motivating students to learn, retain and apply their skills. This is probably one of the best courses I've ever taken since I began college. God bless and enjoy the break! I liked the Opening Day project the best because it showed me how the first day of school can be used to set the mood of your class throughout the whole school year. Lesson Plan and service learning were fun! Also hands-on activities! The way we had more discussion versus lecture kept me more interested, was a nice change. A lot of knowledge provided. Helpful resources video clip examples. The topics for lesson plans were open to any subject. Creating my own class, lesson plans, parent letter, and having the opportunity to work with students through service learning. I liked the team building activities. The aspects that I like the best is learning how to make a classroom successful. This curriculum was based on how to become a successful teacher, classroom management, lesson plans, how to keep students in tact, rules and procedures. These were by far the most useful information that I have learned in this class. online forums and assignments. I love this class from the beginning but as it got to the middle it got harder for me because im still learning my time management. i love the way Michael Start of his class with an ice breaker. i got to know my peer and was able to be comfortable throughout the course because i know i was not alone though we all came from different country culture i was able to connect with the student. Michael is definitely an effective teacher i would recommend him to others student and if i had money i will love to take his class again because is worth taking it. The class was very easy to understand while also being fun and interesting. Very personal towards course and students. I like all of the information that was presented; I learned a lot. There were a variety of learning activities that we did in class and not just lecture. It was well organized and I knew exactly when things were due. I like that the teacher was available to help me and was understanding. I also liked that the teacher sended out weekly reminders for our assignments; it helps people who are very busy and may forget. Internship I liked how we were able to work together as groups and the fact that we can resubmit our assignments if we feel like we didn't put our all into it. I appreciated the fact that our instructor was very quick to answer to any questions we had on our assignments.

16. Which aspects of the course did you like least?

Assignments were tough at times Since Dr. Cawdery has changed the course around from previous semesters the titles do not match what we are actually working on. Also some proof reading would be good. N/A None I disliked all the assignments. Reading... The only hard thing about it is trying to balance getting an assignment in every sunday with my other 3 classes. Which I've gotten everyone in except these past 3 which I'm hoping to get catch up on. None everything was good A times the forum, Assignments, and Module was not clear which took me several times reading and reading until I got it. I enjoyed every aspect of the course, yes for me some were stressful only because I am not computer literate but through this course I learned to use the computer and was able to accomplish and complete the required assignments. none not understand online assignments The time of the class was the only thing I struggled with but I know that it is something that is hard to change No comment There was no aspect of this course which I found non-helpful in my education journey. The assignments were lengthy and I found it hard to manage dealing with so much other things. see above box N/A I don't think I had a time that I didn't like. Mr. Cawdery's class was always fun and active. I really cannot say much. I really enjoyed this course. I am having trouble with the service learning assignment. I have contacted each of 3 school, multiple times and have gotten no response. I started contacting six weeks ago. Now, I know there is not enough time to complete the work and I know that I will fail the course. This assignment should be eliminated or the professor needs to have an active role in recruiting schools to comply. I least liked the Lesson Plan Presentation because I was kind of unprepared. I really wished that the forum about the LP presentations was assigned to us the week before the presenations that way it would have been clear exactly what was wanted from the presenation. I did not know that we could present it through a powerpoint so I only had my Lesson plan to show. Though it is good he gives us a chance to still make changes to our lesson plan online and resubmit them. I liked everything we did in class. nothing was bad. that the period was short so we did not get to as much as we could have Nothing I can't think about anything I didn't like about the course Taking it online because it was challenging The reading assignments on laulima. I can't say much. Because I wasn't familier with modern technology, the most difficult part was figuring out how to use the forums, submit work via online and find certain articles. But by mid-semester, I had enough help to figure out how to access stuff like that. The Forums are what I least liked about the course. There was nothing that i did not like. It seemed like everything we did in class was what the assignment for that week was. Which would have been great, but I do all my assignments ahead of time so coming to class was kind of a waste. most assignment due on a weekly basis straight N/a All the forums. There was no aspect I least liked, because all of the information the professor taught, and explained were all important. The only thing I had a hard time understanding was always the directions for some assignments. There was rubrics, but some of the rubrics weren't clear, and they were just confusing. attendence. What I like least about the course is because is to short. I wish it was little bit longer so i can gain all things that i need to learned to be a success student. Also because it take me time to learn the course. I was really starting to get to know what i was doing in the classroom and what was expected of me. There isn't anything negative that I found about this course. N/A Mandatory interaction with other students N/A I did not like the lack of clarity on the instructions of certain assignments. Some assignments seemed unclear, and there were a few of them that had different criteria listed on the rubric and the assignment instructions.

17. My overall evaluation of this course is...

Good Great course. Everyone in education should take this course. We get bits and pieces of classroom management in other classes but nothing this thorough. I would recommend him to another student. Though I did not have the opportunity to take this course in class, I was able to learn new information that I will be able to apply as a future educator. Good! I enjoyed it! Excellent! Every student who is going into teaching and teachers who are already teaching, should go through this course at least once! He is a good professor for an online class he really explained things well to me. He got back to me in a timely manner. Was helpful in explaining my assignments to me. I would recommend his class to others. Despite the overload from all my classes, I really liked this course. excellent! Excellent I will recommend it to others This class is very helpful!! 10/10 Awesome I did recommend this course to one of the teacher that I work with, only because she said she was struggling in her class and didn't know what to do. One big one was the childern was out of control, she has no authority over them. Rules are broken with no consequences and procedures are not followed through, This help me plenty. The overall evaluation xcellent. Great teaching skills and knowledgeable in the course. Awesome the course was great great information great teaching..loved it it was a great class i learned a lot I loved it the students and teacher all the work and the comfortability in the class AWESOME! Excellent! Great! I learned so much from this class. I would evaluate and rate this course as excellent and would recommend it to other students. it is a great course to take, it inspired me to become a great teacher My overall evaluation of this course was it was fun. It kept the mind going. Always active. Throughout this semester I have left every class with more food for my thoughts. In other words, I left enlightened with insight on management skills within my own personal life and work. This class has definately improved my teaching stragetis. good I think this course was excellent because the class was very interactive and involved a lot of hands-on activities. It is so helpful to take this class for future teachers. This course was very helpful in my filed. I learned alot about becoming a teacher and creating a lesson plan to start of teaching. Great intro to ed course by mr cawdery Excellent teaching, excellent course. that the course is helpful to apply to actual situations and it was an eye- opening learning experiences as to how to be an effective instructor That it's a good course to take and I reccomend this teacher Great Professor and a useful course to help with future teachers. This is a great class. This is one of the best courses I've ever taken. As an added perk, I met a ton of new friends here! Everyday there almost seemed like a social gathering (fellowship haha) as opposed to school. I would give it a 9 out of 10. Having an "engaging" professor always makes a class more alive. Professor Cawdery is awesome so his class was awesome. Its an excellent course, even though i learned most of the things in this class already in teachers academy, i still loved it because it refreshed my memory and it was interesting to learn more. It is a good course I would recommend. Nothing unreasonable or difficult. Excellent. I was able to obtain a lot of knowledge and could use these in future references/resources. Ability to apply to career. I thought this course along with Professor Cawdery's knowledge of subject matter was very helpful and informative. Excellent course. Really showed me how important managing a classroom is and what difference it can make. It was good. I would refer anyone to take this course, the professor is fun! laid back allows a variety of ways to turn in work! This professor provides great insight based on past experiences, he makes the course relate-able GREAT! My overall evaluation of this course is the best I have ever learned. Im glad that it's been though in School. I feel that mr. Cawdery is an excellent teacher. His lessons are clear and engaging. He also goes out of his way to ensure his student's success inside and outside of the classroom. Learned a lot of resources that I can use in my own classroom in the future. It's a good course that challenged me. This course is very knowledgable and very interactive in terms of actually working with teachers from other schools and creating lesson plans and procedures that we will need to learn how to make. Overall, I thought the course was good. I feel as if it did a good job scaffolding students do design a lesson plan and helped new teachers consider details that would help them down the road.

Good teacher None Mr. Cawdery is a great instructor. The professor and class was great. Loved it Mahalo for your time and passion in teaching this class. Michael Cawdry is an excellent teacher. All material was interesting, enjoyable and well explained. I enjoyed going to class every week to learn the new material he would be presenting to the class. He is a great teacher!!! Very cool class. The staff and faculty of the AAT program rocks! :) He did very good and he does not set you up to fail. He helps you throughout the semeter. As a piece of advice to anybody planning to join this class, be sure you become familier with technology used throughout the course. (Forums, Online articles etc.) And be prepared to work weekly. It'll be a lot less stressful keeping up a little very day then procrastinating all the work until the last day. I enjoyed ED285 and I would recommend Professor Cawdery to other students that are taking ED classes. I would recommend this course to other students that want to get their AAT degree! Good teacher. Awesome teacher. I had a great semester in this class!!! Create clearer rubrics/directions for assignments You make a lot of rubrics for some assignments which is also confusing, for example all the guidelines, some aren't necessary.... I understand they are to help us but sometimes you give out too much guidelines. I end up getting confused, because you hand out guidelines to help us then you have rubrics online which doesn't really match well with the guidelines. Thank YOU Michael! N/A

How helpful the teachers were, and how the modules were set up really helped me get through the course with no problems. And the teachers were the best! That we could turn in assignments online yet still have in person classes 4 times a semester to check in and find out details about specific assignments. The food. I like that we met once a month. The professors! :) I like the clear expectations that are told to us from the very start. The teachers are awesome, and very helpful when help is needed! I liked how there were no "real" due dates. The professors were basically pretty lenient about assignments. As long as we complete our whole assessment binder by the end of the semester, then it's goos.

Awesome awesome teacher! I really like how Michael is always willing to help his students. He is in his office if he's not at class and always has time to go over any questions students may have, concerns about the course, and even sits down with his students and takes the time to help them improve on their course work. I actually didn't like the fact that I didn't get the oppurtunity to meet my classmates face to face. time constraints. The condensed summer session seemed rush, and I felt like I did not have enough time to absorb all the material presented.

I'm not an online fanatic, I rather attend face to face course. having to rush home from work to meet deadline. I don't learn well in an online course. Because all of the assignments and forums were online it was so easy to forget that we had work to finish. For me I'm the type of person who like to turn in work during class instead of online. The reason is because I am handing it in person I'm more motivated to do work in a timely manner, instead of waiting for Sunday to finish it because I know that I have a lot of time.I'd recommend having some assignments and forums be turned in online and other be turned in in person.That way students are given options on how to turn in assignments. How theres so much. It got overwhelming at times just looking at modules and outline of the week. Also how we constantly had to check if there were assignments due while we still had forums. From working on the forums and assignments, it was something different. I honestly didn't like having to do forums for both online classes. N/a I'm not really much of an online course student so the challenge of doing my work online made it difficult for me to remember to turn in work on time or get the peer reviewing that I can usually expect in a face-to-face course. sometimes the instructions weren't clear enough. I wish some forums could be anonymous. I like everything about the course. I don't like how the modules are done. I mean they're ok, but I find myself sometimes forgetting which module we're on and I have to go through them one by one until I get to whichever one we're on at the time. The video clips were not playing and it was very frustrating. Feedback on assignments was not as quick as I would have liked. The 10 hours of service learning. It was a great experience and overall gratifying but posed a slight inconvenience. Everything about this course was great!! Nothing. I like this class. The Laulima navigation within the courses. No clearn way to back out of where you are without backing out of the entire subsection of the course. Other than that this course was great. I actually found I enjoyed this online class, so i didn't dislike anything I didn't like the discrepancies between specified due dates. I would have loved to take this class on campus and not online. Some aspects were difficult to understand, but Cawdery was available through email/Laulima to help. It was hard to keep up for me. work load was very high, the distribution of grading was weighted to the end. the final requirements were extensive and offered little. his web site was disorganized and i had problems understanding what was required. requirements about the same assignments were written differently in separate areas of his web site. the material covered was just common sense. his assignments reviewed extreme cases in mainland inner-cities that do not connect with what is happening in Hawaii. I did not take this course online. However, this course had a lot of assignments due online. I didn't like it sometimes because I would encounter hard time understanding the instructions online. Like all my Ed classes, I see the forums as a waste of time. Busywork, basically. I'll write them, then completely forget about them. There is not one thing i don't like about this course. Took in class. Sometimes the online instructions for assignments were unclear. N/A it was good, no problems That everything (assignments mostly) had to be turned in online. The forums were a bit difficult, because I had never done something like that before and I had to open up with people I never met before (people from other classes could read them). I had no problems with the workload but I had various issues with computer and laulima site. I had several glitches happen when I was turning in work. Although online is very helpful, be aware of the problems you'd face. What I liked least about the online was that I just needed more time to submit my work, so that part is my fault.

timely announcement. Mr. Cawdrey would constantly check up on us, helping us and reminding us of assignments to come. He also send out a lot of motivational videos through out the course, which really kept me active and wanting to learn. the forums. N/A I liked how everything that was done in class is available for us even if we haven't gone over it.It gives students opportunities to look over the next course we'll be learning. I also like the forum idea where we can share our ideas to all the other students who are interested in Education. That even though we not in class, you can reach the material online. What I liked the most about the online forums and assignments was that we got to see other different peoples opinions for the forums part. I also enjoyed reading other people's papers and seeing what the put for their things. I liked how everything was online and all the lessons we learned in class were online. So just incase we needed to review something it would always be online so we can use it as reference. I like the amount of enthusiasm that Professor Cawdery brought to his subject. It inspired me as a student to become the teacher that he has become. everything was turned in online, we didn't have to waste paper printing our work out and turning it in. I actually liked the online course because everything was laid out for the students. It gave a helpful list of what assignments/forums needed to be done. Mostly everything about the course. I am able to work full-time while going to school. Plus, I like the due dates being during the weekend it allows me to work on it at my own pace and with as much accuracy as possible. The course, the work, the deadlines and the grading were all very organized and laid out from the beginning. I like that I can manage my own time and complete assignments as I want. That it was completely online, it was understandable and perfectly organized. Everything was easy to do. For assignments, I could turn it in early and start the next. I didn't have to drive and walk into a class room, in order for me to learn something new that I could new in my field of study. Very well set up. Expectations were very clear. Objectives and assignments were very clear. I really like the modules in this course. It made me feel more intergrated into a traditional course yet it was online. I liked all the visuals, online encouragements I liked that the course taught me to be responsible in keeping up with the work. I liked that everything was available at all times for me. I didn't have to wait to go on campus. It was a very good use of technology. i think this course needs to be revamped - i learned nothing. I liked it because it gave me more flexibility. Connecting with other students that were not in my class. Overall, the class was decent. I loved it alot. He helped me understand alot. Took in class. Great teacher! Makes learning fun!! I liked that he had everything organized on laulima, but we also talked about it in class. N/A i liked the teacher What I like most was the positive atmosphere that was present through out the entire room. doing forums and assignments... having the most to teach me and having a very educated teacher. how fun this class was. Having the most awesomest teacher The welcoming environment. Everyone in the class were so friendly that we got along real quick. In my opinion if we didn't get close like we did it would've been hard to learn about classroom management. For all the fun activities he used to explain some lessons. how enthusiastic Professor Cawdery taught the course, and how he said that why we teach is because "So students can learn." Though I will mostly remember on how you taught us to change things up with our future students and get them motivated. Also on how everyday is a new day and how students learn differently. Interesting and useful The great professor! The amount of confidence that he instilled into his students. It made me want to work harder. Mr. Cawdery for being an awesome teacher. How personable the teacher was! I also liked the student to student interaction. Unique lessons and examples was given in every class discussion and different techniques and perspective of how to teach students. I will keep Dr. Wong's book it is the best book ever in the course. "Nothing in this book will prepare you for your first day of teaching." I think this course is definately realistic. The organization. The fundamental things that I learned from it. The service learning i performed. N/A using some of the assignments that we did in class and use it in my own class, for example write an informative letter to parents about the class. how to establish authority. The modules, and doing the reflection assignments. Being able to take all that I learned and manage a classroom effectively I will remember the youtube clip for week one regarding a teacher's salary. It really helps set the tone for you. It will be things I will remember while I'm in the classroom. And I printed out almost everything for me to read later. i am glad it is over. the lesson examples we had to evaluate made me not want to teach. they were horrible experiences for the teachers and i felt sorry for them. i would be afraid to teach in nyc, chicago or la after taking this class. Mr. Cawderys awesome personality! the good class environment, my classmate, and my teacher! Implementing strategies for developing routines. The book that I had to purchase and will be keeping by Mr. Wong "School Days". When i'm teaching and im using all his teachings on how be a great teacher. Michael Cawdery!!! Thanks!! i assume mr.cawdery is a nice person. however, the he designed the class so that students were spending many hours on a lesson that offered litte insight, all for three little percentage points. this happened week after week, and then at the end he requires eight assignments to be turned in. i could not figure the grading percentage. four of finals were worth 12%, yet somehow all of them comprised 40% of the grade. It was unclear. he just seems disorganized and i felt stuck. Great course! I love this class!!!! Overall fun class! Made learning fun because he kept us engaged and always had fun activities! Love doing hand on projects and participation rather than just sitting around taking notes. I wish I wasn't graduating this semester because I would take more of his classes! This class was very good. Michael is such an engaging teacher that listens to his student's questions and answers. I hope my other education teachers will be like him, VERY HELPFUL!!!!!! Just one thing to suggest. Not too many emails. It was over the top. Professor Cawdery was a very understanding and helpful teacher. 14. What did you like least about your online course experience?

little personal contact I would rather have a face to face class. The rationales were very difficult and felt lost with them at times. Other than that, nothing. I missed being in a classroom meeting my classmates. But other than that it was great! It was great. The outline of the course was well thought out. I also liked that we meet up five times out of the semester to confirm details of out teacher portfolio. I am not sure if it was my internet service. but sometimes when I open up laulima at night, late night it takes a while to load or I couldn't even get into laulima. Meeting on Monday evenings was very difficult for myself and my family. Nothing at all I really enjoyed this course! none Like any online course, because it was mostly online and that we would only meet about once a month, it gave us the opportunity to slack off.

15. What did you like most about your online course experience?

use of multiple media (video, document downloads) It was something new that I got to experience. Made going to class fun, informative, and helpful. It was easy to keep track of the assignments. It is convenient and samples or model of paper/projects were provided. The instructor/s were more than willing to answer questions or support the students, email comments to students on works for improvement. Mr. Cawdery is always open to helping students in need. That we meet once a month to see how we was doing and it was organized. Online course provides flexibility for my schedule, which is the most helpful. Mr. Cawdery was very understanding about my situation and helped me in every way to get things done! This experience has increased my knowledge in the education field. It has also reinforced what I have learned through the years. It gave me a strong understanding of what will be expected of me as a future teacher and the knowledge that will be necessary for me to be succcessful as a teacher. Being that it was online, we did get to move at our own pace I guess.

Because Cawdery is a great mentor Being the first online class that I have taken. The teachers and their passion in the field and passion for teaching the students! Looking back at my assignments and my portfolio. The portfolio that I have developed. It will always be at hand when interviews are done. I will remember the work that went into the portfolio and at least I dont have to do think or do much when doing my portfolio upgrade. Although the course was online, the meeting of at least once a month with the instructors made the class more successful and less pressure. This course will be remembered because it is when all the evidenced of hardwork and learning was compiled. Our binder we made doing our portfolio, and the work we did in this class. What I learned throughout the Semester that helped me look forward to what my future teaching career will possibly look like. The assignment that was needed to be completed that was relevant to my career. How the instructors were available when I needed them and their encouragement throughout. And my favorite - how they made things fun. ALL THE HELP I GOT TO SUCCEED IN THIS COURSE Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by the interesting projects that was required, the awesome and motivating instructors. I had a great, yet challenging semester. Overall, I enjoyed the course. GREAT CLASS! Loved what I learned about making a rationale. At least I will know what is to be expected when doing my bachelor's. Mr. Cawdery is cool! He believes in his students abilities. He is simple and calm. Not having that face to face interaction where the instructor could explain assignments a little better. No complaints. There was definitely a lot of information to be learned and I wish I had been able to have a face-to- face class to help clarify different ideas and concepts. In addition, the syllabus that was provided in the beginning of the semester was different than the actual activities/assignments that needed to be turned in, so I became a little confused throughout the course. I felt like sometimes I would miss out on some information because it is online. I would like to get to know my professor more, the way you would by seeing them in a face to face class a few times a week. Nothing! I dislike the idea of not having that face to face interaction. Excellent class, excellent leadership, course work was well defined and easy to navigate, questions were quickly answered and I felt supported the entire time. I liked every thing. Some of the other students were too critical with the forums. There is nothing that I didn't like about this online course experience. N/A The book needs to have larger font for easier reading and the chapters are not marked in the book which makes it difficult to find. Since it is listed with pearson's you should be able to review on pearson's site and I did not see that you could do that. I do not like pearson's though because a person with a slower operating system cannot get all functions, even though it says you can. I have a MAC, with 10.5. and cannot get it to etext ( I have a current lab with another class) History 151.Crozier I least liked the course when we have an assignment due every week. The final project wasn't really explained. It was confusing.

15. What did you like most about your online course experience?

Mr. Cawdery went above and beyond the expectations for an online course, and sets the standard that all online instructors should strive for. I thought that although it was a bit challenging, I had the opportunity to do the assignments and forums without having to worry too much about rushing to turn them in. I found the course material and assignments required much self-introspection and self-appraisal. For this I am grateful. The course helped me to see the landscape of working with exceptional students and to learn how I would respond and be of the most use in such an environment. I really think it was Mr. Cawdery's class that helped me handle my volunteer experience with the Special Olympics in April of 2012 with such success! Thank you Mr. C. Aloha from Mrs. S. Mr. Cawdery provided great resources to help me understand the content. There was definitely a lot to be learned, but he was able to provide videos, articles and other resources to highlight just the main points of each section. The modules were organized well and easy to follow (however, sometimes it did not match up with the syllabus). I also appreciated that the assignments were clearly defined and most had examples to help show the quality of work that was expected. I love how Mr. Cawdery uses a variety of resources such as videos, photos, pdfs, and links on every module. It really helps the learning process. I learned a lot of new information! I could do the work at my pace and on when it was convenient for me. Everything, the course was well planned out. Did not even feel like it was an online course! I like the fact that i learned a lot of valuable information which i think will help me in the future. Well defined deadlines and course requirements made it easy to find and complete all assignments. I liked doing the forums and doing the short papers. The final project I liked all the assignments and the readings and especially the final project because I learned a lot of things that a teacher needs to know. The way the instructor provides examples for the assignments and models each assignments expectations The way he organized lesson plan which made it a great way to prepare for final paper. He was willing to help me when the videos weren't showing on my laptop. There were motivating and good videos that he required us to watch. Those videos were effective.

The efficiency of it. taking what I have learned in this course and applying it into the classroom that I will be teaching in. There were a lot of important information and facts that I learned in this course that everyone should be aware of. I will be sure to be one of those voices that will speak for those who may have a hard time in this area. How positive it made me feel in my own abilities to affect change in my life and lives of others. The new insights I learned into special education and how to help students with learning disabilities. The content I learned will definitely help me interact with my students both in and out of the classroom, and can be applied to others I encounter day-to-day as well. It has given me a better understanding and appreciation for the faculty who work with students with disabilities, as well as the students themselves. the facts and evidence I had to research about The way Michael Cawdery set up Laulima and kept it interesting because he posted many videos that were related to the topic. Just remembering which of my ED classes I took online and which I took on campus. Also by the book I read "Reclaiming Youth at Risk." The teacher and his excellent approach on educating future teachers thinking about the stores that we read and how they impacted my life and my thoughts. the instructor and also the input of classmates All the things that I learned. I already work in the field and it gave me clarification and a better understanding why and how things in the education system are. What I learned from doing the final project The disscussions that we have and the readings that I read in this class. The content that was taught, through the way it was taught. My teacher and the strong emphasis on values for a teacher in the teaching profession. The videos were so powerful. I'm willing to watch it again. Those videos were informative and helpful. One video that i really enjoyed watching was the Special Education Experiment with the teachers. It helped me see what students w/ disabilities are going through each day of their life.

14. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?

I enjoyed the whole course. THE PROJECTS I liked that we got to actually get the feel of being in a classroom setting and getting familiar with the idea of becoming a teacher. By taking this class, it really opened my eyes to new and possibly challenging experiences, but this class made me confident and comfortable with knowing what kind of things I will expect. I really liked the service learning areas in the class. I also enjoyed the movies and videos selected by Professor Cawdery I liked the video clips that was used in this class. I liked having the powerpoints with the narration because it made the lesson like I was actually in a face-to-face class. I liked the videos in each module. Having lots of the visual aids was very effective to me. I also enjoyed reading the forums; it allowed me to get brilliant thoughts and ideas from my fellow classmates. Looking at the different learning situations and perspectives with respect to culture and the students at different cognitive levels. The content I liked how Cawdery made the online experience fun and motivating. I feel like I learned the most from this class this semester. This is the first online course I have taken and I learned the fundamentals of classroom management. I liked all the videos. I never realized how much I could learn from regular movies. First, what was expected from the course was emailed and outlined before the first day of class. Second,Michael Cawdery was always ready to help in anyway and always answered my emails. Got back to me online with answers so I could get my assignments done on time. Last, I was able to take in the information of this course with the help of the instructor and the input of the rest of the students online with the forums and reaction section. Online course was easy to navigate, assignments were clear and lots of discription was given so that there was no confusion about assignments. Very Understanding. I liked everything but what I found differently from other courses that I took is I enjoyed the Power Points that he did for each module explaing what that module was about. Information was presented in a way that kept the course interesting. Use of various forms of media to present information and assignments also helped to keep the course interesting. The professor was quick to respond to emails and was very help when we needed help. When taking his class in person, the interaction between him and us as classmates were excellent and made it much easier to learn. Michael Cawdery made every part of class worth attending. I would say though that the best parts of class is when the entire class and the teacher are able to engage in discussions, you find everyone listening and becoming more and more interested in the lessons. Learned so much in a fun and interactive way! Great Teacher and great fellow classmates! I learned to apply principles from this course to my Sunday school class. I teach 7-9 grades. It has helped me to be that teacher and I am very happy about this it has built my courage that teaching God's word means a lot to me. I am greatly and thankful for all of my Educationl classes that I have take it has brought a bright meaning to me and it has brought more importantly to my sunday school class, at the Congregational Church of Wahiawa. I liked that Mr. Cawdery presented the course material in a fun and creative way that made comprehension easy to grasp. I also During class time how we worked on the homework before it was due. If you wanted to work ahead he had the assignments posted early. I would just look at it but not turn in assignments early. I liked everything about this course. When you first look at the assignments you feel overwhelmed, but as you do each assignment you understand it's importance and relevance to your career. For example the case study final the whole semester I was thinking man when am I gonna fit 10 hours in my schedule, but when doing the 10 hours I realized that those 10 hours make a big difference in your life choice to become a teacher. In the beginning it was a little rough for me to actually think as if I were a teacher, but after I got comfortable my mind just ran with the other assignments. I could think of what I wanted my class to do, what I wanted to look like, it was great to think of all of this ahead of time. i like the case study , it made me realize teaching is more than standing in front of class and talking.. I liked the fact that Mr. Cawdery was very professional and helpful during the entire semester. I love how he sets up Laulima for us. Everything is thorough and the fact that we do homework in class is super awesome. I give him super credit for it. The instructor is real. What he brings to the table is real, and he presents materials, subjects and topics in a way that is meaningful to me. I never once doubted that teaching was what I wanted when I was learning from this teacher. I liked how he was involved with our home work, assignments, and questions. Michael presents the material in an interesting manner and he was able to contextualize the information so that what he taught allowed me to be able to understand and confident that I may use it in the future. Mr. Cawdery is by far the best teacher that I have had the pleasure of learning from since I have started college. He really is an insipiration to all of us, we all enjoy going to class because every day we learn new things in a new way. He is truly one of a kind, makes all of us feel important, smart, and worthy. He inspires us to all be teachers and to shoot for the starts and achieve our goals and dreams. He is just awesome and I hope to have him again. Super hands on class using different teaching methods involving technologies and resources I liked how he organized the assignments and gave us a good amount of time to turn in the work as well. What I like in this class was everyone was nice. Mr. Cawdery was down to earth and made us feel comfortable. One of the things i like was doing our lessons plan. It was my first one i did. It can be time consuming and somewhat a lot of work. Everyone got to present it and we got to see other peoples ideas how they would teach the class. I like that because we got to barrow there ideas and maybe use it one day. The other thing i like was when he made us do an activity of doing procedures and routines because people was lost and didnt know what was going on and the direction wasn't clear enough. Which was the whole point of it. People just assume we should know the rules and procedures and expect us to do it. i really enjoyed the case study. you really do see all the lessons you learned in class being used by actual teachers in their classes. its really amazing to learn the lessons, see them in use, and actually get to experience it hands on. i enjoyed the instructors enthusiasm very much. He also seemed very knowledgeable of things outside of his subject making it easy to relate to him. I like the service learning the best. Mr. Cawdery taught us the way. I liked how our class was really chill and fun. It felt like we were hanging out, but at the end of the semester I realized that I learned so much. Service learning was amazing! I had some trouble contacting the school and I was a bit late, but the experience was worth it. The kids were wonderful and it taught me so much! the in class lectors i love the way he interacted with students in class when they had a question regrading work etc. furthermore i enjoyed how he made everyone feel comfortable talking in class. he had class enjoyable to go too -Useful information for our portfolio All the learning was meaninful and fun. I like that the class was very tight and open to all ideas from other students. It is an important class for any student becoming a teacher to take. Honestly everything about this course is great. This was an extremely interactive and engaging class. I loved the layout of this classroom so much that when I become a teacher, I want to use the same layout. I had fun and learned more than I had anticipated in this class. This class inspired me to become a teacher who desires to impact lives,communities, and the education system. I liked the class/group participation the best. It gave us the opportunity to not only work together but to also to get to know one another. I learned a lot from my service learning and being in the classroom. I liked the atmosphere of the course and fellow classmates in this program. I the interactions, group activities, the open communications. everything The people in the class are amazing, amazing people! I'm so excited that we'll be working side by side one day as professionals. the small and simple assignments. The humor he added to it Creating classroom design and lesson plan.I especially found that lesson plan is very important and it holds you accountable in making sure that you present your lesson with clear and direct instructions. Like the open forum - great to see other students input/perspective I really enjoyed the video tutorials and movie links that were related to the subject at hand. I like every aspect of this class but if I had to choose one I would have to say that I really enjoyed the case study the most why?! well it is because I had the opportunity to see classroom management first hand and was able to assist the teacher with assignments, lead in a small lesson, work one on one with some students, see their joy of accomplishments on their faced, able to get the bond with the students that I worked with, see first hand how much they respect everyone and everything around them. this experience by far was the best I ever had... Thank you for that:)!! reading the younger classmates perspectives of the class and their comments. Modules Mr. Cawdery's enthusiasm for teaching. That this was an online class. I liked that we were able to do the service learning.

15. Which aspects of the course did you like least?

None NOTHING! nothing Service learning I disliked having to go to so many links although it was very helpful. Receiving my grade late. I didn't like that I could only take it online. I liked the assignments and it would've been better to take it in person if there were more time slots for it. I honestly think I took on more than I could do this semester. I took on two online courses this semester. I dont think it would have been such a struggle for me if I only did one online education course at a time. I do not like the forum posts. I didn't feel like I got much out of doing them. N/A The only part that I liked least regarding the course was the time it took to get graded assignments back. It was difficult to gauge were I stood in terms of grades in the class. None, he was great! I will have to admit, I really didn't like having to present on assignment in particular but I'm glad that I did because it allowed me to take risks and it only strengthen my abilities and skills into becoming a professional educator. N/A There was none. I enjoy his teaching and he makes it fun and laugable. There wasn't any part of the course that I disliked. Everything was good. That it is only once a week. no comments Not having a posted grade. I disliked the HUGE projects from time to time. He did warn us ahead of time, but the time it takes to complete the work stressed me out every now and then. That I was unable to keep up. Iʻm playing catch up right now and it sucks. But heʻs been flexible and supportive since day one, and thatʻs the most I could ever ask for. I don't think there was a time were I did not like the class. He was well organized and explained the instructions clearly. At first I didn't care for the group work but later as the class got to know each other better through group work we all felt alot more comfortable then I began to enjoy group work. There was nothing that i didnt enjoy about the class. I don't like doing forums. there isnt anything in this class i didnt like. everything was enjoyable. Cawdery really is a great teacher. he's like my yoda. I didn't like all the forums and assignments. I liked everything. the assignments i felt like they all weren't needed none -Forums: There were a lot of forum work to do. A lot of weekly work did not seem to be needed to learn the material. Most of the work was online so it made it difficult for myself to work at home. I loved the related "life stories." I also love Alan Wong, and his philosophies. Most of all, I enjoyed the dynamics of our classroom. Everyone was open and interested in the subject matter. It made learning magically occur day after day.... Since Mr. Cawdery made the subject and the information very interesting and pertinent, time always seem to pass to quickly! Not enough time in class, it could be longer. The amount of assignments was a bit overwhelming and need to pace yourself forum, to many to ansewer in which, I got confuse or truthfully tired going down the listing of classmates posting. although, it is a good thing and I understand this is for everyone to interact with each other. forums :/ Possibly a few too many assignments, forums, classwork to go on top of our Service Learning case study. none. Him not grading everything in a timely manor :( None Although I enjoyed the class just seem to be a lot of writing. Manageable but more than expected - to some degree felt like a writing intensive course. none. Honestly I liked every aspect of this course, although I am not going for my associates degree in teaching I am know considering on changing my major thanks to this class... I really enjoyed and learned a lot form his class that helps me with every day management.. While the course was great their were some periods we had to come up with our own ideas on how to get started Modules were too long The amount of writing required....This should be a writing intensive course. n/a None of the assignments completed and turned in were returned to me and other students in a timely manner. I have not gotten any of my assignments graded/returned for over 4 weeks. This is simply unacceptable. How will we know if our grade or assignments need improvement if nothing is graded in a timely manner? He teaches classroom management, but I think he needs to learn time management! To many places to go for assignments, not really sure when a couple of them were due, and took to long get grades back for assignments. I feel like all the difficult homework happened at one time.

I really was shocked with a lot of the information that was given to me for this course. I really enjoyed learning all of these new aspects about what goes on within the classrooms and how it is run with the of the students together. All of the information on special education and the disabilities that they have and how they may or may not be able to function was just awesome. I love this course so far..... I love how Mr. Cawdery takes the time to find additional support in helping his students learn and succeed! Learning about students in a inclusion class. I enjoyed the organization of the course, especially by using the modules. The structure of how the assignments were given and the work content. I liked the videos that were in the modules. They helped me get a better understanding of the subjects. I really enjoyed the research articles that were presented of some of the different programs that are available in teaching. I will definitely be using them in the future. I like the set up of modules, it was very easy to follow.

15. Which aspects of the course did you like least?

All the reading...lol... I swear I read some sections over about 5 to 8 times. But all in all I love this course, the information just blew me all away. None at the moment! N/A nothing. The videos that were used to show the work (quick times). It didnt always work for me which made doing the work difficult at times because I had to use another computer other than my laptop. I can't really think of anything that I didn't like.

I have known Mr. Cawdery from the time he taught his first ED class at LCC Waianae. Indeed he is a new professor; however, he is on his way to becoming a great professor. Mr. Cawdrey is a great teacher and always willing to help out his students. Thanks for another wonderful semester! I hope the professors at UH are as nice as the ones here in the AAT program. he is knowledgable, and enthuastic about his work. He makes you fell comfortable and never make you feel less worthy or embarrased. He is a leader and born to teach. That I learned so much new & valuable information from this course. All classes were fun & exciting which made me want to come to class :) I felt that this course will really help me succeed in the real world and a big part of it was thanks to Professor Cawdery's teaching styles & outstanding enthusiasm! He is very passionate about his subject & career. I wish that there were more motivated teachers like Mr. Cawdery. He is well prepared, and encourages his students a lot. He is also really understanding. Mr.s Cawdery is also always willing to help, with anything. He also gives his students to resubmit projects if they wanted too. He is a great professor. He can be a little hard on you at times, but it's for your own good. He also has a good sense of humor, so class is never boring. great teacher and he always cared about his students. If you needed any type of help with any assignments or forums, he was always there to help you out. a great teacher. He is a really good teacher and makes class enjoyable. Michael Cawdery is a well liked, positive, instructor that is more than will to help if you ask for help. His goal is to make better teachers and make the profession better for teachers. He was an excellent teacher. I recommended his class to some friends that are considering joining the AAT program. My overall evaluation of Michael Cawdery is I think that he is an okay teacher. But I wish that he would explain the assignments a little more. Sometimes I do not understand what he is teaching or wants us to learn. I am learning that it is taking a lot of time and commitment to be a teacher. I never knew that it required so much paper work, organization, and other things. Mr. Michael Cawdery is awesome and he is a good teacher that can be model to everybody. Very helpful and enthusiastic. He really knows what heʻs teaching and makes it easy for everyone to understand. Michael Cawdery is both professional and personable. I felt that I could come to him at anytime for direction and assistance with my educational questions. This was my second ed class and I found it very interesting and informative. When I had trouble submitting assignments, Mr. Cawdery was very understanding and helpful. He communicated very quickly when I had questions or problems. He was always positive and encouraging. he teaches what is related to the course; however, the work can be vague. Excellent! He is an awesome professor that knows his material and knows how to share his knowledge with future generations of teachers well. Well I thought that he was a little condescending when I didn't quite understand instructions. It was confusing as to what you were looking for until I looked at the other student's lesson plan. Thank you for belittling me. At least we weren't in front of a huge class. He was a very knowledgabe teacher. Thumbs up! I enjoyed this class. even though i didnt get a chance to meet you in person this semester, i still had a good tim ewith your class. youre an effective educator and you seem reall down to earth. 15. What did you like most about your online course experience?

The modules that kept everything organized so that we knew exactly were to find the materials that we needed :) I liked how if you need to go back for reference about a certain topic it was all online. Not like sometimes when having lecture class you need to take good notes because some of the "important" things won't be posted on laulime or whatever the teacher uses to post class things. Everything was pretty well organized, so I didn't have much of a hard time trying to find things. I really like that we were able to look back at the modules if we were having trouble with anything. I was in class Mon and Wed. it was great to have full access to the instructor online and in the class The interactivity. I did not have to take this course online. It was helpful that he put everything online (forums, tutorial videos, and all the assignments) to keep track. The only thing that was hard was that it took a lot of time to do all the assignments. Sharing and Knowing others experiences. The people I liked being able to turn assignments in through the laulima system I like the convenience of online courses. The forums I enjoyed the modules. They were very interesting and diverse. The material was very practical. I learned a lot and was encouraged in my quest to become a teacher. Mr. Cawdery's communications were always positive. What I like most would be the forums section because we were able to communicate with other classmates and get opinions back from others. I got to meet new fellow students and reading forums posted online. The work was outlined in the weekly modules extremely well so it made understanding what to do easier. I liked the fact that I didn't have to drive to class. I actually have had a busy semester, so it helped that my course was online. It was conviniant to my schedule. The opportunity to do assignments on my own time. That I could do my work whenever I had the time to. it was easy to follow, everything was straight forward The convenience. It was vey organized I liked how we used alot of sharing ideas about certain topics and discussed many things with one another. This helped with learning new things with out actually going through the situation. Now, when I am in a certain situation, i have some what of an idea how to handle it. I always knew that if I needed help there will be much help made available. I can have more free time to learn. being able to fulfill assignments on my time and Cawdery gave sufficient time for weekly assignments. Everything was clear and organized. I enjoyed the activities that were assigned and it all made me more assured that teaching is want I want to do in the future. It was easy to follow and very detailed. I like how it included forums so that ideas can be shared amongst the class. I liked that Michael Cawdery gave examples for a few projects. The examples really helped me to do well on the assignments. It was organized and easy to follow. There were a lot of resources avaibable like handouts, videos, samples, etc. I got feedback on my assginments right away. Because there is no set time that I needed to be online, it gave me a great amount of flexibility. how we got to comment on others work as well as them give us feed back so we know how to better our work

16. What did you like least about your online course experience?

I felt that if you were taking the course face to face, then the online forums were a little repetitive because we speak about it in class, then re-post what we talked about. I feel that the forums tool should have been just an optional supplement for those who were in the face to face course. I just personally felt that as a face to face student we had double the work of those who were taking the course fully online. I didn't like how small the MG had to be in order for your work to go through to be submitted. I think that laulima should up the size of the MG so students aren't limited to a small amount. N/A N/A n/a Laulima sometimes doesn't save the work. That it was kind of hard to read and understand the forums. some of the forum because i dnt really do well in the forum area. All the informashion was not so clear and the due dates I didnʻt like doing forums and modules because I feel like we have completed the tasks from them in class. I did not like the delay in returned assignments. I like to stay in the know of how I'm doing with assignments. I'm pretty sure the delay in returned assignments is because of the large class size, so I kind of took this in stride. Sometimes not knowing when something is due I would have liked to take the course face-to-face. Sometimes the modules just blended one into another. I forgot which one I was doing. The quicktime player did not work for my computer, so some videos I had to go to the school library to view. The least thing I liked would be the amount an detailed of work we had to do in so little time. Everything was great! There wasn't anything I didn't like about the course. It would have probably been easier if I would have actually been in a class instead of online because I would have been able to ask questions of you. There was alot of work due in the same week. Sometimes the forum and module layout got a little confusing and hard to remember which one we were in without the teacher reminding us. I also seemed to have not seen part of some assignments until after it was turned in. there were some parts that were a little confusing, and the videos didnt work for me in the beginning. The lack of human interaction, but that's what you get for taking an online course. I did not like haveing this class online. the material gained and experiance was great, but I would rather be in class verses online. Mr.Cawdery seemed like he would have been an amazing teacher in person. I miss the in class communication/ interaction. no Having to keep up with everything. also sometimes taking a class like this would be better in class because it is more engaging, but that was my choice so its nothing against Mr. Cawdery I liked everything! Grading shouldve been more consistent so that I knew how I was doing. I didn't have my work graded right away so I wasn't sure how I was progressing throughout the semester. i found it difficult that all the assignments were not in the same place and there was no timeline for each module. Being a distance education course, although we can somewhat interact with classmates, it is not the same as being in a face to face classroom setting. how you think that you did the work to your best but to the teacher it wasnt

17. My overall evaluation of this course is...

I've become very enlightened on the subject of classroom management & I would recommend this course & professor to all aspiring teachers :)! I WOULD TAKE IT AGAIN IF MR.CAWDERY WAS TEACHING IT!! EXCELLENT TEACHER I really enjoyed this class. I learned quite a lot about classroom management, and plan to use this experience to help me in the future. very well taught and I would recommened this class because I learned a lot of things that I didn't have any knowledge of. very positive. I learned a lot. It was awesome. that he was an okay teacher. I liked the way he taught the class. very excellent, i learned and like it much. ok but a lot of work Very good and helpful for students who will be future teachers. Overall, I enjoyed the course. There is a great deal of work, but Michael Cawdery worked with us and helped each of us stay the course. Great information very positive and practical. I learned a lot. If others would like to manage a classroom professionally then this course is needed! Excellent! It is an awesome class and I would recommend it to any student interested in becoming a teacher. It was ok, not great though. Lots could be done to improve the course! It's a very helpful class for teachers. It was a good class, I learned a lot and doing my service learning definitely put things into perspective. I loved it. it was a great class, and all the iformation that ive learned is really useful, i use them with the children that i watch now. pretty good. I've learned a few things from taking this course and from personal knowledge to help me better succeed in the classroom. I overall enjoyed this class. Due to not being able to go to in class classes this semester I think I really missed out on some material. I would have enjoyed this class ... in person verses online. For assignments, we needed to make a list of class rules, procedures, punishments, and rewards, and we also has to organize a classroom...all things that will definitely be beneficial in the future. i enjoyed it

The Cultural Identity Map because it provided us with the opportunity to get to know our classmates. na Being able to socialize and see who everyone was and their identity really helped shape this class. I learned a lot just by getting to know most of the people in class. The videos also played a valuable role in this class because we were able to see what multicultural issues really take place in this world and the classrooms. Identity map, forced me to think about myself in a variety of ways. i like the identity map and the film festival... Learning how to implement multicultural lessons into a classroom environment. Also, the material and activities are easily relateable and fun. It brought on a sense of self knowledge and pride of my heritage. I liked how all we had to do was projects in this course, and felt those made us learn more than a test or text book would have. The film festival presentation sharing and involving to the multicultural issue of the ground. The group discussions were fun. I enjoyed learning about different high schools and how they did in a specific area and how we compared it to one another. I also like using the clickers to do a survey in class. I really enjoyed the assignments like the identity map and the film festival. How to effectively teach and interest all students. Gaining insight of different types of children and learn about accommodations and ways to include children in our class. We learned a lot of the consequences. when we constructed our identity maps becuase it showed how different we each are. it also shows the how our culture impacts everyday life. the assignments really helped to solidify the topics being taught! Being able to identify global multi-cultural issues within the media (ex. articles, movies, etc.), the ability to truly express ourselves and who we really are; it was our own impact throughout the course. Everyone got along in which discussions were key moments where we all got to know more about our classmates. the group projects helped me learn how to collaborate and work together with other members the issues Learning about educationʻs history and linking it to how it is used today.

10. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...

Professor Cawdery and the Film Festival. na When I become a teacher, I will definitely take the things I learned in this course and use it in my classroom. This will allow me to be able to work with different types of children and it can only make me a stronger educator:) The quality of classmates I shared the experience with and the effort I had to put into identifying myself as a member of a culture. The fun activities that had us evaluate our family history and heritage. I'll remember how it taught me to be open to differences in other people. What were my reviews on the film festival sharing and relating every movie into my own life. How Professor Cawdery incoporated real life situations to make it uderstandable to me about the topic at hand. The film festival and multi cultural issues that i learned about the most in this class really will stick with me when i become a teacher. the concepts taught in class and how the instructor is very friendly and helpful to students. The appalling consequences make this class unforgettable from the projects we did becuase it was fun and it was different and fun from the other projects i had to do in other classes. our video projects. the course as a whole was very helpful! Applying what I learned into my future career as an English teacher at a secondary education level. Whenever I encounter issues within a classroom in regards to multi-cultural demographics, I will know how to prevent problems or stop them. teaching in a classroom or displaying some other form of teaching the awesome teacher! The friendships I made with my classmates.

He's a great teacher! he is a very enthusiastic teacher and makes learning enjoyable Michael is a very enthusiastic teacher who makes his classes really fun and enjoyable. I enjoy his class because he doesnt spend the entire period lecturing like what other teachers do. He seems to know the content very well and I am able to understand them clearly. Excellent teacher, sets the standard. a great instructor with passion and knowledge... He is very passionate about this course. He genuinely cares about his students and wants to see us succeed. a very good teacher, and fun to talk to. he is very concerned about his students, and wants them to be successful. Being able to adaptable dealing with special Ed. This was my first education class with the AAT program and it has cemented my decision in becoming a teacher. This class has helped me gain an insight as to what's in store for the future with the program, my career choice and life itself. Professor Cawdery is awesome and I look forward to attending another class of his. I'm doing this for multicultural education since i mixed up the evaluations. but i thought multi cultrual ed was important, we learned the importance of culture and identity and how much impact it has on a student. Also, we learned about contemporary issues in schools that we may run into in the future. The lessons were inspiring learning about the different types of problems people around the world encounter I found the student presentations on how to accommodate various students informative and useful for future reference. The guest speakers were great as well. Everything is worthwhile and amazing in this class. I want to thank the professor for knowledgeable lessons and amazing presentation. I really enjoy everything in this course and I will recommended to others. The guest speakers The guest speakers were an excellent idea for this course, it really helped bridge the gap between what we are learning in class and real-life scenarios. I really enjoyed the freedom we were given with our final project. Because our presentations didn't have too many restrictions I was able to really produce a product that I was proud of and interested in. Professor Cawdery in general was an excellent teacher. I learned and enjoyed this course very much and would refer it to anyone working toward an education degree. This class taught me so much about inclusion that I will use in my career I loved how we had guest speakers and did that last project on different disabilities. Very helpful! Learning about the educational system and SPED side of education not covered much in other education courses.

9. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?

None. The only thing I can think of that was least valuable with the course was my lack of participation with my studies. I didn't do so well this semester academically and my participation and motivations lacked so I feel I could have done more and learned more than I did. Nothing was useless in multi cultural ed, however we should refer to the definition worksheet more so the words get stuck in our head none To be honest, I felt that the books that the course required were not as helpful to me as I had hoped. I felt detached from the first book because I could not get into it. I would have benefited more from books written directly about at risk students that reads like a regular book then have the concepts stated in At Risk Youth applied to the character that I am reading about. Reading a full story about a person makes me feel more connected to the person and drives me to learn what I have to. It requires more work but the there is greater motivation. none. The textbook with definitions none. Nothing. I loved this class. n/a

Case Study. It was enjoyable to attend. Lovely hour, 15 minutes. Me peers were people I'd love to see in the future in our careers, hopefully one day work with. Professor was funny and made class fun. And I loved the view from the balcony outside the classroom. the relationships built and of course the appalling issues in our schools and communities today. It opened my eyes to work with children with special needs. The presentations that were given throughout. Yes, I will always remember. The guest speakers and the information that they shared with us. ...the professor! I will never forget his presence in the classroom, he is a very genuine and passionate human being. The values and concepts its given me to use in my career. teaching in a special education class with a Masters in Special Education. (: Being the first introduction to learning about SPED students and procedures, services, and accommodations when working with special populations.

None. I think I said enough. Goodjob again Professor Cawdery. I have no more classes with you anymore :( however your lessons and classes are meaningful and will never be forgotten. Keep the goodwork up and stay cool!. I really wish that the final assignment was broken down and laced throughout the semester. I attended this class hoping to learn about how to include various students in my classroom. Although I learned a lot but I was disappointed to find that when presentation time came around, no one had a finished product to show or share with the class. If the assignment was assigned at the beginning and done throughout the semester, not only would students have had complete work but also have more information for me to take from. The assignment requires a lot of work that cannot be fully summarized in a ten minute time slot. Having the assignment done and posted in a place where I can access it, like a forum, would have really helped me to get the information that I could use later on. I also feel that more in class activities and group discussions would have aided my understanding of concepts too. The guest speakers helped and the lectures helped to a degree but I wished that I was given more to do than just listen. Keep up the good work!!! It is a great opportunity to have Mr. Cawdery for this course. Michael Cawdery is a great teacher and delivers importnat information in a clear and easy to understand way. Very interesting class! I'm super glad I took this class! I enjoyed this course because of the structure of the course and how it opened my eyes to special populations in education. Before this class I never thought about learning about or working with SPED or at risk youth. Now I am very interested in gaining more knowledge and experience in this particular area.

The assignments given. Many of the assignments were interesting and great practice for my future in this profession. Learning how to do lesson plans! The Mike Rose article. I cn most relate to this article. Classroom management skills and procedures. Thinking about why I wanted to be a Teacher in the first place. I gained a lot of information and found out that being a teacher is a very respectable job I would just have to be more dedicated and organized. How important good classroom management is to run a classroom. And to never throw out the book by Harry Wong. Great book to always to back to as reference. about how much my words and actions reflect on my student's thinking and actions. Also, the importance of an organized classroom with procedures in place so that the classroom environment is conducive to learning in a fun and creative way and not much time wasted on correcting children for misbehaving. All students deserve to have a teacher that expects her students to do well and reach for the "stars". That's the kind of teacher I want to be and the positive message I want to give me students. it will help me with my career in becoming teacher remembering my service learning project and my interactions with the students and teachers. It taught me the importance of rituals, routines, and procedures. How to be a professional teacher in terms of dress, mannerism, and the classroom environment. I will always refer to Dr. Wong book because it is clear and easy to understand. It will always be a good refresher or help me to improve on my classroom management skills. How an engaging and fun classroom is effective. Well planned lesson plans are effective and easy. the way i interact with students in my classroom, because of this class I've learned to be a cheerleader for my students instead of always pointing out their flaws and faults. The examples that the instructor gave, how he taught the class, and the instructor himself. The rules and procedures to a safe classroom for students. the activities we did in class, also the assignments given. using all the things i learned and incorporating them iinto my classroom and into my teaching style. the instructor. His set up with the modules. It made everything organized to the point where it was easy to understand and everything stayed on one topic. He was very flexible about turning in assignments and when I emailed him questions, he answered right away. How understanding he is. He was available to answer all my questions and seemed very pationate and knowledgable on the subject.. He is very understanding and really cares about his students. He doesn't mind putting in extra time or effort to help out students and is really passionate about what he teaches. He makes sure that his students get the best. This online course was very well layed out. You always knew what to do and how to do it and he was always willing to help when you needed the extra help! As an instructor Michael Cawdery was always available and very supportive in communicating that we were very capable in doing the classwork and assignments to the best of our abilities. He helped us to reach within ourselves for the best and most creative parts of ourselves. I would enjoy taking another class that he's teaching. keeping up to date with reminder assignments due He was very quick in replying to my emails. His willingness to help He communicated very well with me. If I had concerns or a question about the class, he was able to e-mail me in less than 24 hours with his response. Emails pretty fast his communication and support He was able to answer my e-mails quickly so felt much better when I had questions with this being an online class. What i found most helpful is all the pictures he has to have exzamples on what are we learning in todays week. He is a good motivator, and he responded to my emails promptly. He has a positive "you can do it" attitude toward the students. I found him to be a vauluable teacher due to his calm and laid back approach. The way he taught the class, made the information less intimidating to learn and complete. His friendliness, made it easy to approach him to ask any questions about the class. He is a truly valuable and helpful professor. His teaching style. his accessability, when ever I had questions he was easy to talk to and ready to help anyway he could. He is really understanding. Also when he teaches, he uses his personal experiences as examples while he was teaching other grade levels. The way he teaches is the best way to teach. He is really knowledgeable and he knows his material. His assignments are the greatest assignments that I've ever done and it really will help me. Michael Cawdery was fun, outgoing and laid back which made the course more fun to learn and experience. He was there when we had questions or needed help. He also answered emails right away. Mike is always there to help us along the way and help us reach our goal. how easy it was to communicate with him and how helpful he was. He has classroom experience and he is still working with teachers outside of LCC. I think his knowledge is very valuable. He has a great personality. He is very opened, very professional, funny, and showed great interest in the subject matter. He knows how to teach in a variety of ways. His bottle of names. =) He always answered my questions, and he wasn't very strict but he was very respectable. Good balance. His text choice was great and the articles and activities were very interesting and helpful. He's always there to help, and he's one of the few teachers that make learning enjoyable.

a great teacher, creative ways of presenting lessons and assignments He is a very fun teacher. I loved how he used different characters in his presentations. I also enjoyed how he used up to date videos to relate to our subject. I would take another class from him. A great teacher with an idependent type of teaching style. He uses lots of resources and is willling to answer any questions. He's organized and his assignments are right on with what were learning.. He is a great teacher! Great Ed teacher! The due dates were a little unclear for the forums, I believe a set date should have been established for when the forums were due. Thank you Mr. Cawdery You need to be more organized in your modules and you assignment due dates and/or what is expected. In a module it might say that you need A, B, and C and when it comes to the forum or assignment requirements it will say something totally different. What I learned most by the assignments and forums were how to be more detail when doing them. I would hear his voice before I turned them in, "Did you give "conceptual" examples to this assignment." Thank you! Taking this class online was very convenient and I learned so much about classroom management--procedures, rules, expectations of students and teachers and made my commitment to become a teacher even stronger. It very well could have been me, although I have taken a number of Laulima courses and this has been one of the hardest to navigate. If he does teach other ED classes, i'll be interested in taking them to further my education in teaching. Im going to miss you class! Once a week classes are not effective. Michael had great guest speakers. They provided a lot of good, important information. the projects and the chapters i read because a lot of the chapters captured my interest and i looked more into it. Ten years from now, I will remember this course most by looking at all the differences in my students in the classroom. I will always try to remember to treat my students with respect, and accomodate them the best way I know how. I will try not to label them negatively, and instead, work together with the student, their parents, and other colleagues to make sure he or she is successful in life. The things I learned while taking this class have guided the way I am thinking about my future. I have found two things that I am passionate about and this class helped me discover these things. I have learned so much more that what I knew going into this class. Micheal is a great teacher! What i learned about helping at risk students the lessons and concepts taught and the relevance it will always have in my life. The information I gained.. this information cannot be learned anywhere else. Most people don't realize how much of a disability is a challenge for a student who is not getting the proper education. one of my high school courses. and being able just to apply common sense and ethics to situations that happen

He is interesting, picks good books to supplement his classes, and he has really good guest speakers. The speakers gave really important information. how he tries to help you understand the assignments. Michael Cawdery was very understanding of us, and was willing to simplify any confusing parts of the course. I really like that I can relate to a lot of the things he discusses, and I like that he knows where I am coming from during class discussions. As I stated previously Micheal is a great teacher. He is helpful, respectful, he puts thought into what he's trying to get across to the students and he is laid back he didn't stress me out. He let you present information in different ways or at least the option was there. His class wasn't just him lecturing every class either. We had class discussions watched interesting clips that were related to what we were learning about so his class wasn't boring. He listens and doesn't pass judgement He is very friendly and does his best to make every student succeed. He is laid back, and makes the course manageable and uses class time wisely. He is easy to talk to and very understanding. he gave all his students a chance even if it wasnt possible for students, he explained and helped me through it He is always willing to listen and really tries hard to make class engaging for students by understanding what his students' passions, desires, and interests are. He is a very understanding and caring teacher who truly enjoys his job. He's very professional and yet still treats you as if you are a part of his family.

19. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....

He is a good teacher. he is a really god teacher but needs to dumb down the assignments a little because i didn't understand what he sometimes talked about. he also needs to show more videos related to what he talks about because it gets boring with he only lectures. Michael Cawdery will definitely make you feel comfortable in his class. He really has a lot of knowledge about teaching, and if he doesn't have the answer to some of our questions, he will make sure that he is open to learning them. He's a great Teacher I would recommend him to other students good because he makes the intiative to know his students and develops lessons/ lectures that every student can understand. I would like to continue taking more educational courses next semester. he's a very good teacher or professor? gained knowledge in situations that need to be taken seriously instead of putting it off Hes a great teacher! Mr. Cawdery is a very knowledgeable and caring teacher whom I feel is by far one of my favorites. He exceeds my expectations and I can't wait to take another one of his classes!! he is a very encouraging professor who never looks down on any of his students. easy to talk to and understands situations well. i would recommend any student to take a class from him. AWESOME! :] He is a good teacher, I learned a lot from him and from this course. I really enjoyed being in his class. Michael was very enthusiastic and supportive of my educational goals. He presented the course material in a very professional and relative way, which made it helpful to me. Mr. Michael Cawdery is an excellent teacher and knows really well aboutnhis field of study throughout the semester. hw is an inspiration to me, as well as a good friend that will help me and mentor me as I pogressto achieve my goal to becoming a teacher. He knows his material very well and presents it in a interesting way so that you don't feel bored or obligated to do anything, you feel like you want to do the work because you want to not because of an obligation like other classes. Very awesome teacher, liked how he plays a character inside the class room showing some examples of past teaching experiences that we made have went through or methods that some teachers would use on their students. Playing both an effective teacher and a non-effective teacher. he is a great teacher and was quite refreshing because i've been out of school for almost 40 years and to come back and wanting to become an educator because of people like michael is truly amazing! I enjoyed this class because every time I was in class I left feeling good about myself and my choices for the future. This class helped me believe that as long as I keep trying and stay true to myself and my personal beliefs that with hard work I will succeed. That he is a good teacher and I would like to have him again for my other education classes through out the semester. His comedic personality sets a very good atmosphere in the class that makes students want to learn and get involved. I took the online class so I wasn't able to learn more about his personality, but he was a great help on-line. He always sent us positive reminders to keep up with our work and encourage us to do well. His modules were very interesting and easy to follow. Great teacher I just wish that the assignments were ready on the first day. I think there needs to be more audible lesson of maybe 5-7mins with the way the notes were set up online. It can really give a more personable feel as fool proof the understanding of the weeks assignment. Other than that I really enjoyed Micheal Cawdery. very laid back, and enjoyable. loved the mini power point lessons. He sounds very enthusiastic in his modules! He assures that he is always there when we need help and offers a lot of it. He is absolutely an awesome instructor! Next time, I'd like to take a class with him IN the classroom. I enjoyed Mr. Cawdery's course. The information was designed in such a manner that I was easily able to apply the concepts toward everyday situations as well. well i took an online class with michael Cawdery so i didn't really get to know him. but i have e-mailed him a few times and he has always gotten back to me in a timely matter. on laulima his page had a lot of details and it was pretty easy to keep up with the assignments. Although this course, ED 285 Introduction to Classroom Management, is an online class, my personal interaction with Kumu Cawdery is one that leaves me with a sense of total enthusiasm, connectedness to his passion as an educator, his overall compassion for educating future educators is the impression he leaves with me. It makes me wish that I had more teachers in my lifetime that has his aura for the art of teaching. I will certainly keep in close contact with Kumu Cawdery as I transfer to UHM so that I could have that added teaching resource to help me in the future. I always encourage other AAT students to take this course as well as any course under the direction of Kumu Cawdery. He is truly a diamond in the ruff at LCC and a great asset to the AAT program at LCC Very supportive and encouraging He's a great teacher, that honestly cares about what he does and his field of expertise! I really enjoyed the class, and hope that I get a chance to be in his class again! Overall Prof. Cawdery is very knowledgeable in his profession. He shared some very good information that was thought provoking and inspiring. His vast experience in teaching and travel as welll as his knowledge of the local educational system has been quite helpful in completing assignments and forums. In the pass I have encountered challenges with online classes. during Mr. Cawderys online class I have received knowledgable information containing the subject and the text. In this area of receiving the curicclum was my challeng in the pass. Mr. C has delivered it well for me to grasp on to the knoweledge and know how I will be applying this knowledge. I have experience close to a live class here with Mr. C. good involved teacher! Even though the course was online Mr.Cawdery was involved. He sent announcements on a regular basis. Mr.Cawdery also explained the assignments and provided valuable criticism. The assignments showed his enthusiasm for teaching.

teach more ed classes!!! PLEASE!!! The materials presented in this course were very helpful to the career I want to pursue. The intimate class setting was also helpful in that it allowed us to actively participate in discussions and gain insight from other class members. This course was also very hands on and engaging. ED 285 had a lot of use of the computer and projecter. It made understanding the lessons easier and help grasp the ideas being taught. I enjoyed all of Cawdery's powerpoint explanations of each module. GOOD JOB! :) And Mahalo for being understanding. Don't work too hard! The only thing I suggest is just the class teaching presentation if we had the full presentation to give instead of cutting to a certain point because then we would show all the materials that we have prepared going into the presentation and not let it go to waste. computers weren't working when he brought them in to be used during our lesson plan week none This class was one of the best I have ever taken. I believe everything I read about and all the assignments I did will make me a better educator. I feel so much more confident about working with the students. The book by Harry Wong is probably the best book to have if you are going to become a teacher. I did not like the forums and it felt like extra work that was not needed Visual AWESOME!!! Audio I give a 7 out of 10. Kumu Cawdery is the Bomb! I didn't really like the textbook, but luckily Mr. Cawdery did not rely solely on it. If the class was offered early mornings I would have much prefered to take the class on campus as oppose to online. This was a fun online education course. I enjoyed it a lot. What was great about the course were the assignments. The assignments were fun to complete. They were also straight to the point and dealt with education. The workload was not a heavy load. The teacher gave the students interesting thoughtful assignments under reasonable due dates.

how my instructor Micheal Cawdery was enthusiastic and supportive throughout the semester. I will remember how to incoporate Multicultural diversities in all my lesson plans. Mr. C and the students in it. We are a great bunch who work well together and enjoy each other's company. This atmosphere created a awesome learning environment for us all. The Boys of Baraka film. It helped me to decided what I wanted to do in the teaching field. The excitement in class. Being able to engage in a multicultural film festival which enabled me to "read" a film and gain depth about it's particular message. I also realized throught the film festival that there are alot of films pertaining to education and the struggles many students and teachers face everyday in different contexts. The movies that were introduced in the class. All the presentations that we were required to do. the way he taught us because it was always meaningful and exciting. He always made his lessons meaningful. I will understand how important equity is in a classroom and how important that we understand diverse students that come in my classroom. With the knowledge that I learned from him, I will pass it on to my students. doing the assignments.

He was always there for students that needed help. He was well organized and what he taught in class will be valuable when i become a teacher. Accessibility and knowing I could ask a question and would get an answer whether if was in class or via email. The classes were student based in some occasions and I think this is very helpful since we are all going into teaching. He let us have a chance to practice and get experience in a laid back atmosphere. He was inspiring. Always willing to help and always encouraging me. I found that I was challenged to think on a higher level than just knowing textbook material. This class took a "real" look into multicultural education and what it means to address individual needs of students so that they can feel comfortable in my classroom. I like how Mr. Cawdery makes the class fun. He was always open to any questions and concerns regarding the class. The meaningful lessons that I will face in my classroom. He explains it clearly. The film festival was awesome because it helped me understand what students I will work with in future. This project also have me build good relationships with my group members. He is friendly and approachable person.

he's a great teacher!!!!! He is a great teacher, lots of fun to be in his class. I definitely learned a lot about different cultures and reaching out to my future students, embracing their cultural diversity and how to use it in a classroom. He is very open and is willing to listen to your concerns about the class. He also made the class fun and very interesting. Awesome teacher Michael Cawdery is an enthusiastic instructor who has a passion for training teachers and sees that potential in all of his students. I really appreciated how he put the course material into relative contexts. The A'o Makua course was also very helpful for learning new things about a place I've lived my whole life. Great Class. AWESOME :] He is a great teacher. He is funny. He he does a lot of group discussion, which is good because you can learn from others. he is a cool teacher. His assistance when we needed help. This course gave me a broader understanding of what to expect as a teacher. It has provided me with a lot of references and resources. He was very understanding and he made me want to learn more=) I learned classroom management skills. I feel I have the skills and abilities to effectively teach a class and provide positive and supportive feedback. I myself feel comfortable to be an effective teacher when it's my time. I enjoyed this class and learned alot from the instructor and classmates too. i think that a lot of the techniques that I learned in this class will be useful to me when i become a teacher. The teacher was awesome and i feel like I could make connections to a lot of the things that were taught to us in the classroom. The encouragement from my instructor has been invaluable, as I am a new student, not sure of my ability yet to become a teacher. Mr. Cawdery is patient and thorough, I appreciate that. Also, I learned the many facets of classroom management in this course, it will be most helpful in future Ed courses. This course deepened my understanding of what it really means to be a teacher and how to manage a classroom instead of disciplining it. Wong, is great!!!!!!! It points out the main root of the problems of teaching/learning â?? not understanding the difference between procedure and discipline. I finally realize why the wise would say: â??doing is easy; the difficulty is knowingâ??, but the ordinary average people think â??knowing is easy; the difficulty is doingâ??. People â??dareâ?? to break rules, discipline, etc. They didnâ??t realize procedure is not a rule; there is no reward or penalty, pride or shame involved in a procedure! Failures happens when stop using/repeating the workable procedure again and again. The weekly modules and videos provided in class are awesome, inspiring, educational and impressive. Forum discussions and assignments are critical thinking, challenging, exciting and vivid. Donâ??t understand why such a wonderful course like this class is not a requirement for every student, but only for AAT requirement?

great! I like the positive feeling you put into the course. I could tell you have a great passion for teaching, it shows in your work. I feel you graded assignments fairly and you were available to help and answer questions. The suggestions I have are to have the class feel a little more organized, such as at the beginning of the semester list all assignments with due dates, especially helpful if broken down into weekly format. Also return work sooner. Other than that I really enjoyed your class. The info you provided will definately help out in the future. EXCELLENT! He made this class very engaging, which is quite difficult since it is an online course. great online course! The insrtuctor gave words of encouragement throughout the class. 14. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?

I think that the culture identity map and the film festival was the most valuable in the course. It gave me an understanding of who I am, and what I will be as a teacher. How we need to understand that everyone comes form different backgounds and cultures I found that this course has helped me be more accepting about my own and other people's cultural. Through the discussions and identity maps I learned to be proud of who I am and that everyone is different. It's important that we discuss the issues in multicultural ed because when we start to teach, we will have a better understanding to why our students are the way they are. what is found most helpful in his class was the film festival. Doing that time that was a very effictive in learning how it's going to be for us. the service learning oppurtunity HONESTLY, I DIDN'T REALLY LEARN FROM THIS CLASS. MOST OF THE THINGS THAT WERE COVERED IN CLASS WERE RELEVANT, BUT THEY WERE THINGS THAT MOST OF US (THE STUDENTS) ALREADY KNEW. Because I was able to gain a better understanding about multi-culturalism, I was able to eloquently express myself in an interview for a study abroad scholarship and was eventually awarded the opportunity to study in Japan next year starting in January.

Professor Michael Cawdery is one of my most favorite instructors at Leeward Community College. He is always there whenever I need help with an assignment, or if I just need someone to talk to. Overall, this course was a real eye opener. I highly recommend this course for students who are devoted to becoming teachers. Michael is very chill and welcoming. He is a lot more organized which is good because it gives us more of a positive environment. The projects we did was great. We was able to share our own culture and share our own feelings to the class. I would highly recommend this instructor to others. my overall evaluation for this teacher is that he is super nice and understanding. He has a passion for teaching and he has a fun way of doing it. it was fun class HE IS AN INTERESTING TEACHER, BUT IF THERE WERE DIFFERENT TEACHERS TEACHING THIS COURSE, I WOULD HAVE SWITCHED TO ANOTHER PROFESSOR IN AN INSTANT. Michael Cawdery is an enthusiastic instructor who cares deeply to ensure the success of his students. He is fair and understanding as he himself empathizes with his students.
