17. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
The classroom management skills I learned that I'm sure I'll still be using.
How Mr. Cawdery's online course was the best I have taken. He provided enough instruction for each module. You did not get the feeling that he phoned in the course. He put a lot of effort into this course. I did not have the feeling that I could have just gone online and go the same materials.
the fact that I will still be teaching happily.
Organization, preparation, and effective communication.
Learning about procedures and routines. Model, reinforce, reward .
I'll remember this by being my first introduction course to my career. 10 years from now my career bath might change, but ill remember the interesting tactics used to teach and impactful quotes used to motivate all students, even via the internet.
The emphasis on lesson plans and the forum discussions.
The educators who made it possible for me to be where i'm at!
Yes, theres a lot of aspects that I will carry with me to help in my career.
The activities I had squire to complete my assignments.
18. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?
I really liked the text book, The First Days of School.
The modules of information. The materials really added an extra value to the course.
I found validity in my own teaching habits.
Effective communication, respect, and team work.
I found this class very valuable especially learning about setting up a classroom along with clear and proper rules, discipline, routines, and procedures.
I found most helpful was the allowance of late work. Other than that technicality i found the videos in relation to movies and other assignments most helpful and valuable.
Learning about how important first impressions are.
Professor Cawdery instructions and lesson plans custom tailored for online education. I also found the forum boards to essential in my learning.
Instructor Cawdery supplied many helpful videos and examples prior to the assignment. I have taken online courses before and his expectations, instructions and assignments were very thorough as if I were in a classroom setting.
Learning about making lessons that can help visual, audio, and kenetic learners.
The resources and the assignments and forums where laid out
19. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
The long wait for assignments to be graded and returned.
The forums, I did not feel they added to my learning about the course. It almost felt like busy work.
None. Everything was applicable and appropriate. They will be instrumental in life and the work field.
Everything taught was useful and will helps when I get into the classroom to work.
Least helpful was that this whole course was online. I love that I was able to take it, though i wish I had attended the class. I feel online learning isnt as valuable as face to face interaction.
Don't know/
Nothing really, as for when i needed assistance Professor Cawdery responded quickly and addressed my needs.
Mr.Wong's book was very helpful.

22. Other comments:
I learned a lot about teaching and I have been teaching for a while. I would totally recommend this course to anyone interested in becoming a teacher. The material he presents shows his knowledge of the profession and also his passion about the subject.
He is a very dynamic instructor. He uses various strategies (not one fits all) to help students learn. His open door policy is truly an open door policy. He is willing and ready to help and assist. He is an effective and inspiring teacher. I would recommend him and his class to any student that needs to take this or other classes he may teach.
Mr. Cawdery took the time to make me feel like and individual and valued student.
I plan to take this class in the classroom environment later in my college career!!!!!!!!! (:
I am grateful for being accepted into the AAT program and to have my first year instructor be a master of his craft. Professor Cawdery has made it possible for me to continue the path of education!

17. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
Our field volunteer experience.
All the videos in the modules, catches your attention.
The professors creativity, dedication and passion to teach.
Having been able to put to use the suggestions and recommendations learned from Professor Cawdery and from other educators. Managing and establishing classroom rules and mapping out exactly how students will "toe the rope" gives them a feeling of security that the teacher actually does have the class under control and will produce great students.
How helpful and kind Professor Cawdery was throughout the semester.
The creative yet essential assignments we had to do and how they really do help with being in the classroom.
I will remember this course mostly because the content was realistic. I can/could apply the concepts to my classroom that I learned weekly. This class has helped me understand the importance of being a well-rounded teacher.
The amount of work required. At times it felt like a writing intensive class, in positive way. It was very well informative, structured and organized. The information was very accommodating to all learning styles. The sharing of Mr. Cawdery's personal life journey to teaching, it is inspiring.
Not taking the textbook approach to learning. It is incredibly irritating to be offered only one way of learning (i.e. weekly chapter quizzes in 99% of the classes taken at LCC) and this class allowed me to have some flexibility to what and how I learn and to submit it in different mediums. I was able to process information in a meaningful way instead of memorizing things to fill in the blank or answer multiple choice questions only to be forgotten as soon as the exam is over.
intro into teaching, that says it all. I will even keep my book for this course for future reference.
Professor Cawdery. He is living the example of what a real teacher should be.His goal is to make sure all his students are a success. He's available and works with you to look beyond the grade and focus on what you are learning. Whatever it takes to help you and understands that students all have things that stand in the way of learning, something called life, he cares that you are a success in his class and you walk away with pride in your goals.
The assignments that allowed us to imagine how we would want our "ideal classroom" to be.
The first online class I took.
How much I've struggled to complete assignments on time and how important it is for me know these concepts.
the textbook and material we used. Overall, I felt the content and material were excellent and I learned a lot by reading the book.
18. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?
Being able to watch students in a class room setting was very helpful.
The quickness of the response I got when I came into a problem with the principle at the school I case studied at.
Online videos.
Unfortunately, this semester was a very difficult one for me. With my father's passing 4 days before this semester began, I already had obstacles placed in my way, and trying to overcome them while attempting to complete this course has proved to be untenable. As I am still trying to complete this course, the disappointment in myself is great. The Professor had all the material available and I understood that this was such a great opportunity for advancement, my personal goals were unachieved. I was unable to maintain my GPA, turn in work on time, and did not present myself as a professional. I learned many different things about how to establish a classroom ready to guide and teach students, and how I present information will benefit my students. I especially liked establishing class rules, having the students be part of that and involving the parents as well.
I found the videos on different classrooms, American vs Asian, helpful and gave me a better insight at how different cultures teach their children.
The assignments that were due weekly. Although some may took longer then others, they were all very meaningful and definitely apply to all the things we would need to know and use in the classroom.
the content in the class was very educational
The organization was very helpful! I loved how every new lesson was tied into the one before it. This really helped with building a solid understanding of all the concepts.
The endless information. Very detailed in every area of classroom management. There are a lost of valuable and helpful things about this course here are a few of them the emphasis on procedure and routine, using strategies and developing realistic expectations. Setting the tone on the first day of class is very important and building teacher-student relationship.
The modules were very helpful and had a lot of information to guide my learning.
different concepts that I have not thought about before.
All the information that was in all the modules. It sparked your curiosity to learn more and share things with other people. The textbook he chose for the course is a guide that can be used for your entire career as a teacher since it full or information and references. It also was very inexpensive, I really like that.
The assignments! They really allowed me to think as if I were a teacher and had my own classroom.
When a question was asked through email it was answered either that same day or first thing the next morning.
I found this course valuable in gaining more experience toward time-management. Working my way up to being a teacher requires a lot of planning and careful thought, in which this course has showed me.
the text book was a wonderful informational source that I will utilize in the future.
19. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
Nothing.
Emails concerning other classes.
Too much information could be somewhat confusing.
I believe everything in this course is very relevant and valuable. I cannot give one single example where any detraction of instruction is negative. This was a positive learning experience and I intend to repeat this course due to the wealth of information.
I found everything valuable and helpful.
Everything was pretty valuable and helpful. I wouldn't say I found anything invaluable.
alot of reading and videos
I can't think of anything that I found invaluable.
Every thing is this course was extremely valuable. There was nothing in this course that I found was least valuable.
Forums. Though I understand it is considered class participation, I think the assignments submitted should speak for itself.

I couldn't say there was anything in particular that didn't have a value in the class.

Overall I enjoyed this class and feel like I took a lot of new information away that will help me in my future of becoming a teacher.
May have needed a little more time for the field study.
i think this would be great when taken by itself as an education course but then again did not realize it was a writing intensive course
This has been my most inspirational education course I've had so far. Thank you so much!
Great course, I cannot stress enough how well organized this course was. Great teacher makes great students.
The videos were helpful to me as an online student, but I would suggest to find other videos to replace the animated ones with the computer commentary (i.e. module 8). Thank You for an awesome semester!
I'd like to take more classes from the Professor but I think he'd have to move up to a 4 year school and I know the students who are coming up won't let him get away. Leeward Community College and everyone there won't let him get away either. Thanks Professor for a great semester!!!!!!
Cawdery's class was very well-run and straight forward! Great classroom management class!

17. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
This course will always be relevant because classroom management will be necessary on a day-to- day basis. I have learned skills that can even be effective even outside of the classroom. The thing I will remember most about this class is Mr. Cawdery's passion for education, which I hope to embody and carry with me throughout my career. I love the way he is able to level with us/his students, which made this class feel fun and the work seem less like "work".
I'll remember when Professor Cawdry would always show videos on the subject that the area we are going to teach.
All the fun actives we would do in order to learn the material
the presentation of good and bad strategies of classroom management.
"Have a plan" Harry Wong "Make learning happen", "Engagement" Professor Cawdery
Why classroom management is so important! After the lesson was presented, I started service learning and realized the classroom I was volunteering in was AWFUL.
The people I did work with and the concepts we created to have a better understanding of the material provided to us.
Making it rain! With learning in my classroom. Using all the different things that we went over throughout the semester. I will establish a good protocol for my students to follow and also discipline plan, while keeping my lessons diverse and do able.
How he would always have fun activities to start the beginning of class & it would change it up each time we meet. He kept the atmosphere lively at all times.
Thinking what was my first ed course.
he is a very down to earth teacher and we raise are hands when he does and """we make it rain!!!!!!!!!""""""
its openness to dialogue and differing opinions.
the amazing advice on how not only manage students, but also work to understand their culture, how they learn, and how to best serve each student as an educator.
18. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?
The field experience requirement was the most helpful for me.
I value most that i could give back to the students that im about to teach as my career job.
Being able to learn more about the field and Mr. Cawdery's way of being the teacher model
Personal experience and answering of any and all questions I had that dealt with teacher-student involvement.
Blooms taxonomy scaffolding
I appreciated the opportunity to develop my values, policies, procedures, and discipline plan in the class and have them evaluated by a professional.
My general ideas of how to run a classroom and how to understand my students has bloomed into more specifics and jargon.
How to set up your class for the year. Honestly for me the the thought of that before this class kinda made me uneasy. How would I start this or have them do this throughout the year. Taking this class really helped to clear everything out for me.
Everything that he taught. Each time we meet was a new lesson of how & what to do in a classroom or how to manage a classroom.
Mr.Cawdery because he's so knowledgeable and encouraging.
the out look on managing time was broick down in the most basic way posable and was clear in concise
Taking the information that was provided in class and seeing it being used while fulfilling my service learning.
I loved the in class time. It allowed me to see things that were posted online in a new perspective
19. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
I truly can't think of anything that wasn't valuable. Every class discussion was relevant to the weekly assignment, every video and activity was related to a concept we were learning. Every module was useful in order to access rubrics and assignment information as well as reflect on class discussions. Forums were important for reflection and reinforcement of concepts.

People talking too much
Eh.....
There was less concrete work than I would've liked. Some of the things that we did were less of work and more of feel, which is something I feel is contradictory to a professional enviornment.
There was nothing that I could find that didn't help me in any way. All the content I know will help me eventually. May it be in how I teach, plan, see things and in me my self.
Nothing
Absolutely nothing.
the no friday class lol although the time was used for class and other classes and homework
So many forums. While I understand that seeing the thoughts of others can be helpful. But for me, if I don't know the person that is pointing out certain thoughts in a forum I can't trust what they are writing and that makes the information provided to be irrelevant.

Keep Up The Awesome Work!

17. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
applying it into my future career.
Using Motivation rather then Disipline Being a leader by example Lead from the front Doing after telling then practice
Thinking that this is not what I want to do.
Being able to near instantly apply course material knowledge to my management and education jobs.
The helpful activities that were easy to apply and contextualize concepts that would other wise be written off as complex.
activities that were done in class that clearly demonstrate what was being taught
How I'm using what I learned to manage a classroom.
It's most likely to be how fun it was to learn in this class.
Creating a disciplinary chart
wong's opening day board
Micheal Cawdery and my book
Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by the inspirational videos shown in the modules and in class, the magic trick activity that we did in class, the humor in class.
Michael Cawdery, the professor. He was very engaging and made learning fun.
18. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?
I thought the most valuable and helpful of the course that he explained everything that we needed to do for our assignments.
Getting thru it, if I ever do
As an adult Sunday school teacher, it taught me how to be more prepared in my teaching and how to teach in a way that the students get the learning intended.
The advice given and the work load were a lot to take in, but I learned how to be an effective manager in and out of the classroom.
The most valuable parts of this course came from how he presented himself to us as students and taught us to do the same. He did an awesome job of teaching us how to create instructions that will help students efficient.
creating of lesson plans that was different from how I am used to. These seem to be more common and are easier for someone to read, although I don't like that they are less detailed.
Professor was very encouraging and excelled at providing instruction.
The constant encouragement given by the class (classmates & instructor).
Rules and procedures.
neat ways of getting students to feel comfy in the classroom
learning how to organize a lesson plan.
What I found most valuable and helpful about the course is that it has helped me realize that teaching may not be the career that I want to get into to personally. I've been discerning about career pathways in either education or in psychology. I've decided that Psychology will be the route for me starting next semester. In a good way, this course helped shape my decision to switch majors.
Overall learning of managing a classroom
19. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
Having to get another computer then reset all my classroom stuff.
There was nothing that I could see that was not valuable in the course, everything was appropriate to the the slo's.
Whereas the work load was full, it was overwhelming at some points.
That all the assignments had to be sent through Laulima.
felt everything was valuable because there is no useless knowledge. I like the lesson plan creating because I get more practice putting them together.
The sincerity and uniqueness of Michael Cawdery's personality.

Mr.Cawdery is awesome! I'm sorry I was very very very unprofessional but, you did teach me a lot about what a student needs from their teacher. I always had support from you in the class and online. Thank you Mr.Cawdery.

19. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?
Lesson planning. This is something i thought that would be really easy but honestly there is alot of criteria that needs to be considered to make sure that you are providing everything that meets the standards
The materials that was given to us was very helpful. It gave me a better understanding of what a teacher has to go through.
First of all, the most valuable component of this course for me is its structure. I really enjoyed the way it was laid out and consistent throughout the term. Next, I found the teacher's comments helpful because I need feedback to know how I am doing in a course and he did a great job. He also provided great samples for a visual aid for assignments. Then, the consistency of the course was as stated in the beginning. The videos were very enlightening and also inspiring. Lastly, being able to see scores or grade for previous assignments has been both helpful and valuable. It is so that I can better gauge myself in this course.
I learned lots of teaching technique that I was unaware of.
I felt that the instructor was very helpful and in putting forth upcoming assignments it helped to know exactly what needed to be done.
Having to read about other values in the classroom from all over the world.
Mr. Cawdery has created a beyond exceptional course. The need for Classroom management is high and he has laid out his curriculum to help students become successful professionals in all aspects of preparatory work. I didn't fully understand the major impact this course would have on my line of study, but after completing Mr. Cawdery's class I feel I am much better prepared for my future. His lessons are well organized and include numerous learning opportunities. He applies a level of creativity in each module which then in turn sparked me into striving to achieve my highest potential. I highly recommend this course to all new ED students. They will be better prepared for their professional futures because of it.
The ability to create lesson plans and maintain classroom management is important in becoming a teaching and this class helped to educate me on how to do so. Great assignments and had lots of fun! This class gave lots of insight and ability in becoming a teacher and really gives you a little taste of the profession.
The break down of information and assignments help me understand the work better. I enjoyed the course but I feel I could have done better on my assignments.
Professor Cawdery is very understanding and was great at responding to my questions in a timely manner. Although I do wish I had taken a bigger interest in this course and get all assignments turned in, I appreciate that he is still willing to let me turn in my late work.
I loved this class and Professor Cawdery is awesome. He is always there when you need help. I really learned a lot in this class.
There were a lot of examples before starting a new assignment. I think those are important because it is an online class and examples help a lot instead of just reading instructions and then doing them. It was nice to actually see what he meant and see what was expected in our work.
Most everything. If I had to choose it would be the required classroom hours and teacher interview.
The final project, it helped me get an peak of a teachers job, lifestyle and the means to get there.
20. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
I did not find anything not valuable
every bit of knowledge that I can learn is useful to me.
It was kind of difficult for me to understand why we needed to learn about certain things.
I honestly cannot think of a lesson, forum or module that wasn't helpful. Mr. Cawdery was always quick to respond to all my queries and concerns. He lead us with a friendly professionalism - and gave superb feedback on all assignments.
Some of the assignments had lots of components and required lots of time.
For me I'm not a computer person so everything took me longer to do, but I learned a lot.
Not sure!
Nothing. This course was amazing.
It just took so long to get my work graded and returned to me. Other than that, that's it.

He is a very good teacher.
Great course, it taught me a lot. The things that I learned in this course will help me in the future as a teacher. There were many things that I have learned that I can implement and incorporate into the classroom and with students. I really enjoyed this course
Taking this course was well worth it.
Professor Cawdery taught this class with perfection. He was very organized in his class materials and assignments we clearly instructed. Everything was explained very thoroughly in his syllabus. Also, professor Cawdery was always willing to help and encouraged his students to excel. His class taught me a lot about teaching and about my abilities as a student. I would like to take another course of his in the future and would highly recommend his class to other students.
Thank you Mr. Cawdery for an awesome first semster back! I learned so much from your class and I sincerely hope to take more courses from you in the future(!)
Michael Cawdery is a great teacher and is very understanding.
Enjoyed the class I already recommend this class to a few friends that's getting into education. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us students so we can someday be a teacher as knowledgeable as you. Aloha

18. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?
I found that having to manage my time in everything I do helps me improve myself better without having to stress on any assignment and or class work. Having to be professional and being on time also having to be focused making learning fun will make me a great teacher.
I valued having well defined SLOs, lesson objectives and goals, rubrics and examples of each assignment. These tools helped keep me engaged and validated that I was mastering course material. I also valued the multisensory teaching style which helped keep me engaged throughout the semester!
It helped me better understand teaching. He helped me better understand what I plan to be doing for the rest of my life, and he helped me understand life in simple lessons that he was teaching us that will eventually turn into an everyday life type of situation.
One of the things I really have taken away from this course is that we definately need better teachers. Not only through lessons learnt but through how the class was conducted.
What I find the most helpful in this course was when we have group work and presentation in our lesson plan.
All of the information I learned in this class is so helpful. I work with kids now and I can already use some of the skills taught in managing my class. I am really looking forward to implementing these skills in an actual classroom
How to make it learn!
Knowing the set-up of classroom management alone was valuable and helping because as I am watching over students and children for my volunteer I apply what I learn. And I know that what I learned in this course will help me greatly in achieving my future career.
The interactions and activities among the students and teacher.
Every week all I had to remember to do was "One assignment, one forum" and it was due every sunday at the same time.
All the new things I learned about managing a class (values, procedures, etc.)
The course helped shape my values and knowledge about class management. After taking this class, I feel more confident and prepared to enter the classroom and engage with my students.
The Wong book / guide, assignments on Laulima, and modules gone over in class
This course really helped me to excel in lesson planning and classroom management. It helped me to be better at my job and I have a better understanding about how to treat students and how to address them.
Mr. Cawdery always responded to emails pertaining to questions from students the day they were sent and commented on assignments which were allowed re-submissions on what we could do to get a better grade on said assignment.
What I found the most valuable and helpful about this course was when the professor would take time to help each and everyone of us individually.
It was extremely relevant to my career. And every assignment I did was helping me prepare to be a teacher. Things that I hadn't thought of, now I have. I feel way more prepared!!!
19. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
I found that everything is valuable in this course and it was my favorite and fun class this semester
I didn't care for the ones in my class at the time. I honestly felt alone in class and like an outcast.
A lot of the content seems pointless. There is really good matter to be extracted from the class, but a lot of it is lost in waffle speeches.
I think the least valuable and helpful about the course is reading the stories.
There was nothing in this class that I found needless in this class
Everything was valuable
To be honest there was nothing that I found least valuable or helpful. All lessons were very relatable as well as helpful.
Can't say I have anything to say on this matter.
Nothing.
n/a
Nothing. No complaints, everything was highly valuable and helpful.
Nothing - everything taught was relevant in life and in teaching
A handful of the comments he put on assignments which told me what to add into my work to get a better grade already had what he requested in said work.
-NONE
The professor was extremely busy and a little un approachable. Not himself but his situation made me not want to bother him cuz I knew how busy he was. But he was always willing to answer questions despite his business or work load.

21. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
You make LEARNING FUN!
Michael Cawdery is very passionate about teaching and is available to assist his students almost 24 x7 as he has to have a life also. Ha ha! He is fair. He creates positive teacher-student relationships and worked with students who struggled in the course to ensure that they reached their full potential despite barriers (language, works, personal).
PERFECT TEACHER! He was so helpful, he helped me become a better teacher. He gave me knowledge to help me in everyday life, included me in ALL conversations, and helped me when I needed things just to be broken down for myself. He was an excellent teacher! :)
He is passionate or rather charismatic. That only carries one so far however. When asked for clarification on certain areas he is unable to produce an answer and sometimes fabrication occurs.
My overall evaluation of Michael Cawdery is very helpful and respectful professor.
He's professional and helpful, and he made this class interesting and fun.
Awesome teacher, very knowledgeable on the subject. Very engaging
Michael Cawdery is a great teacher who is very sincere and knowledgeable about his job. I believe he will be able to implement some knowledge that will be helpful to the teaching career. Mr. Cawdery is very flexible and is always there ready to help. He does not discourage but instead help you develop your thoughts.
Awesome teach and very motivated. Loves new ideas and pushes you to explore them.
an excellent teacher who knows how to keep his students engaged and is always will to help. All he wants for each of his students is to be successful.
That he is a great teacher who know how to keep his students engaged. He seems to very knowledgeable about the things he teaches. I would definitely recommend him to anyone else.
Professor Cawdery is a very productive and passionate man. He instills confidence and success within his students. He is consistent in his feedback and advice, and answers all questions with detail. As an ED major, I can wholeheartedly say Michael Cawdery is an excellent leader and role-model for students within the UH community. Throughout every single class meeting, my classmates and I are eager to learn and participate.
Great teacher, hilarious, and I recommend him to any student looking for a teacher who is super helpful, interesting, engaging , and the perfect example of a role model teacher.
Great teacher really understands the students and connects with the students.
I really enjoyed him as both a professor and person, although I feel like he possibly skimmed over some student work which equaled out to a poor grade because, as said above, many of the things he said to add into my work was already there. However, I can understand that, he's a college professor which means he has a lot of students and can't manage to carefully read every single one, nonetheless my grade in that class can impact my future.
that he is a great teacher and he inspires me to be a teacher like him because he cares for his students to learn and achieve their goals for their future.
Effective Teacher...nuff said. He understands the content that he teaches really well. He teaches in a clear and concise manner. Keeps class lessons and assignments extremely relevant. High expectations and encouragement. Makes class fun and engaging! I have learned a lot in this class! I would retake it if I had the time. I just might in the future.
22. Other comments:
Thank You for this wonderful semester, I hope to see you in other classes teaching and hope that as I grow making my self a better teacher , you are their to help with anything and are accessible to every student along the way. Have a wonderful Christmas!
I used the Education Peer Counseling services for ED285 when writing a lesson plan and it was most helpful! My peer counselors was friendly, made me feel comfortable about expressing my concerns about writing a lesson plan and gave me great examples on how I could my lesson plan more efficient.
I enjoyed the class, and the teaching wasn't bad. ED 285 should be a class to teach ED 285 as a pre req to itself though. A lot of it is common sense and opinion. You do learn a lot of helpful information but you have to deal with the muck to get to it. Overall I give it a 3 out of 5.
Very well organize and a great professor

Would most definitely recommend this professor to other students!
Professor Cawdery was engaging with humor, likable with kindness, and in general just a really neat guy who I'm glad taught us all he did.
Thanks for all the help professor! You are great! I learned so much!!! Keep doing what your doing!

he was available for help when we needed it
I honestly think that everything I learned in this class was very valuable and helpful!
I loved that he had the modules laid out for his students very clearly.
The fact that the instructor was responsive was the most helpful part about this course.
The textbook was excellent. I also appreciated being encouraged to use multiple modes/media for assignments.
All the modules were extremely helpful in getting me thinking about my future career.

I thought that this entire course was valuable and helpful for me in becoming a future teacher. I enjoyed doing all assignments and I plan to use the material I learned in the future.
I learned a lot about being a future teacher in this course. I found that to be very valuable. This course also gave me some insight about the responsibilities a teacher has to take. It made me think about my career in teaching a lot more.
The projects that we did were very helpful.
I loved his instructions and willingness to help!
20. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
Nothing.

I didn't like having to do the case study.
I found the modules difficult to follow, especially at first. Sometimes the assignment as listed in the module was slightly different than in the assignments tab.
The least valuable was probably some of the forum posts.
It took some time for the work to be graded and released.

I thought that this course was very helpful and not even a bit did I have any problems with the course material.
Everything was actually pretty valuable about this course. It was definitely filled with a lot of information and experience.

Michael Cawdery is a great professor who knows his material that he teaches. He is very easy going and an easy person to have a conversation with about any material that you don't understand.
Michael Cawdery seems like a really good teacher. I never really asked for help in the class but he seems really helpful. He would send out a lot of reminders in emails. He also seems like he cares a lot about our education and how we do in his class.
Micheal is an awesome teacher, he has a lot of knowledge about becoming a teacher. He responded very quickly to my emails and it was very much appreciated.
Awesome!
excellent Teacher
22. Other comments:
I loved this class
Some of the assignments were fairly intense, but they were good. My weekly time investment in this course was around 15-20 hours a week - I was never sure if it was because I was just moving slowly, or if I was being to exacting. However, I have done quite well so far and I have learned a lot, so I am satisfied.

I enjoyed taking your course and youʻve helped me understand and learn more about teaching.
The class definitely got me to experience the duties of being a teacher and how to go through the process of lesson planning. I liked that it gave me a real idea of what is expected.

16. What did you like most about your online course experience?

great teacher with lots of feedback, always concern us and passionate about his teaching,
He is amazing! He returned the assignments much faster than I expected, he was always available, and I could tell he wanted me to succeed. He gave good feedback on my assignments that marked my strengths and weaknesses and he allowed me a chance to make those weaknesses strengths.
He has to be one of my favorite teachers so far. He started off the semester well-organized and his assignments were clear and concise from the beginning. He was quick to respond to email, quick at grading assignments, and when there were difficulties with my internet he understood completely. I also really liked that he would comment on all the assignments and forums with good advice and motivating comments. Receiving comments on each assignment helped me do better on the next assignment because i'd know how to improve myself. Having an organized, positive, and well- knowledged teacher was such a relief and i can tell he teaches because he's passionate about it, not for the paycheck.

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
Nothing. It was extra information that Mr.Cawdery already explained vividly in class. So it is like a guide or reminder in case you missed something in class.
N/A
It was hard to get into Laulima sometimes since it had a bit of minor problems, and sometimes it would freeze right when I'm trying to turn in an assignment. Also having a hard time trying to figure out what to do for the homework's.
A lot to do on the assignments
Sometimes the links did not work so I had trouble completing a few assignments
Nothing really because my class was in person, the online resources were very helpful.
I did not do an online course.
I wish there was more thorough instruction.
Navigating through the modules, forums and assignments.
The directions were not clear. Most of the directions consisted of many misspellings and grammar errors. Some of the questions for the assignments asked us to do a certain task but some did not match up to the rubrics.
I felt like assignments weren't graded in a timely matter which made the end of the semester work load more than it should have been. Assignments should be graded within one week of submission.
I disliked the amount of time we had to do assignments.
I liked everything.
That Laulima would not work sometimes.
Nothing, Michael Cawdery was able to provide clear instructions and examples for our weekly assignments
I didn't like having to do the forum in class and having to still type in the work or lesson you have learned for the week. I would have prefer to just do the forum as a class. I think that would have help a lot and have given the class more time to do better on their assignments or projects. A student can try to follow the examples but each required a lot of time to do. Which in most cases, students have a lot of homework to juggle and instead of running out of time and just putting their half effort to it. A balance work load, especially for those who can't comprehend it right away will not like doing online homework/classes because they can't get the extra help they need. Giving in class time for the students to do their work will make sure they do their work and can have their answers right away or be helped by their peers or teacher. It seems like the work load online was way too fast.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
This is only the second or third time I had online experience and it actually better than the ones before. If I forgot something, it was a great reminder. I am free to expand and express on everything well because in class, there is only an hour and 15 minutes and I am not good at thinking on my feet, like in an instance. I like to relax and do my work on the computer.
I liked that this was an in class course, but the work was all completed online.
I was able to turn it in by Sunday at ll:55pm on Laulima, but at the same time it gives me the opportunity to get help during the week so I could turn it in by Sunday.
The information was all there clear and consistent
All the assignments for the semester was posted so I knew what was next week's assignment. This helped me prepare myself for what I had in store.
Online resources like modules, forums, being able to communicate through email.
N/A
This course was organized and structured in a thorough manner.
Communicating with other students through forums and examples of assignments.
The variety of resources that were available to us were very helpful.
Classmates all got along for the most part. Developed new friendships and learned a lot while in the process. I liked that we sat in a circle. I thought that was really effective. I liked that the calling of names was by random. I really enjoyed coming to class every day.
It was good.
I liked having to turn in assignments online instead of printing out assignments & having to turn them in during class.
It made assignments easy to complete
he interacts with the class, everyone is able to speak freely.
I liked that the online modules, forums, and due dates were organized. I liked that each assignment was given at the end of the week and were able to resubmit it.

Mr. Cawdery is so fun, energetic, and such a genius. He has great engaging activities and is humorous which makes learning exciting and inviting. Thanks for an awesome semester
I enjoyed this course very much. It gave me new insight on the teaching field and has really prepared me for my future teaching in the classroom
Really wish he could explain more in depth, or have other ways to explain the topics he has for each day. I think he did pretty good, but at the same time he sometimes scares me to even come to class, because I am usually picked on, but all I do is just try to understand him. Really take into consideration that some people don't really understand what you are trying to say since your either going to fast, jumps, or get off track sometimes by the things he has planned.
Great class, I would totally take it again and share with my peers and friends how much I enjoyed and learned from this class.
I enjoyed this class a lot.
Michael is the right man for the job.
He is a really awesome teacher and being in his class made it fun to learn things everyday you walk in his class.
Michael Cawdery is an excellent instructor. I really enjoyed taking his class and really wish I could take more courses from him.
This was a fun & interesting course.
I believe Mr. Cawdery is the right instructor to do the job for future teachers. The material or assignments given for this course is a lot of work but this is the kind of work that will actually make an aspiring teacher become qualified teachers. For someone who has a lot of time may be able to keep up with the work load, but I think this class just need a lot of more guidance, time, in-class group work to accomplish the assignments to fully understand the material. If a student want to challenge themselves this is the right class. Just have to make sure you don't take out the fun in learning or else those who can be great teachers may learn to hate teaching. Overall I would take this class again.

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
The thing that I liked least was that we had to submit everything through laulima instead of hard copy. It is easier for me to not do things virtually.
I really prefer writing things by hand, so did not really like all the hw being online.
I did get confused about the end assignments. They seemed similar, but I just did them to what I felt was needed and my best.
Nothing really.
I disliked some of the work that was required during the first half of the semester. It seemed meaningful but didn't require much thinking.
Nothing really.
I would say the forums were my least favorite part of this class. Although the forums were relevant, I did not learn a lot from the forums. I also do not like the requirement to respond to other classmate's forums. I feel that my responses are forced and not genuine, and I feel the same about each response I get from classmates.
Amount of work that was required for the entire course was too much for me to handle on top of my other classes. I was not expecting this much work.
I thought that the links that were provided online, really allowed the me to breakdown the information that he had been giving us so that I could use digital media (videos) that he gave us so that I could understand what was going on instead of having to read through a bunch of materials.
I liked the online assignments and forums.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
The ability to interact with classmates on forums.
That it was easy to access and tons of examples for the assignment, that was definitely very helpful.
I love how much interaction he created between the many students he had. Some I have never seen, but I could talk to them like we were classmates in the classroom on a daily basis. Plus Professor Cawdery is beyond cool and makes learning feel fun. Sometimes I felt like we were all talking like we we're out having lunch as a class! super comfortable and super fun!
I got to interact with other people.
Mr. Cawdery is a really good teacher and classroom manager. I enjoyed designing my own lesson plan.
I like that it's consecutive. That it's timely and relevent.
I love the online submission of assignments; this is very convenient.
In-class time was very engaging and fun. The professor was easy going and I personally learned a whole lot just by sitting in his classes.
I liked the many examples of previous work that was done, so I had examples to refer back to so that I would be able to understand what was fully expected of us and how to get the best grade.
Everything i think laulima is so convinient

I liked how Cawdery addressed the disruptive students effectively.
You were such a fun professor! I never felt bored in your classroom, and could tell you love your job which is inspiring, thank you for everything!
Keep up the good work Professor Cawdery!!!
The class was very interesting. Some of the work was very simple and a little boring for the first half of the semester, but once we started creating our own lesson plans and thinking about our own morals/ethics, it became far more challenging and interesting. All in all, Mr. Cawdery is a great teacher and it was an enjoyable class.
I like that he is prepared and enthusiastic about this course.
Mike is very knowledgeable about this subject, classroom management. He understands the special dynamics of Hawaii's diverse student population and teachers. I appreciate his understanding in how important culture is in relationship to teaching. He could easily try to enforce and preach the "americanized"/ western way of teaching and have it dominate his curriculum but he doesn't. He looks and listens to his data and teaches methods he thinks is best. I would recommend him to others and take a different class of his if available. Mahalo
Mr. Cawdery, was an excellent professor. I learned a lot in his class and would highly recommend him to other students, if he teaches any other classes I will most likely take his classes.
I found that Cawdery was an absolutely amazing teacher! He tried very hard to make sure that all of his students understood what was going on, and that we had a lot of fun learning the material. He also came to school excited and ready to teach. I think he is an excellent teacher that really gets the students excited about becoming a teacher and really breaks down the responsibilities that involve the students. If he taught any other classes I would really enjoy taking his class again!
He is a really good teacher, you can tell he loves what he does and he really helps his students when they need it.

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
Some of the modules were labeled incorrectly or had not been updated after changes made. The lag in feedback/grading was a challenge as the projects spiraled. Some of the examples for the assignments were not up to par with how the actual grading was represented. Example in classroom design a simple floor plan illustration was provided as an example, but not really the standard he was looking.
I would have like to see the grading come back sooner, but it was not a problem.
I did not like the glitches laulima had, I love the course and content.
I wish i was there in person. The class seems so informational and it would have been awesome to have been able to have taken it in person.
I didn't like the following. 1. The assignments were not returned promptly. 2. There was very little communication from the instructor to the students. 3. There was no mid-semester check in or mid-semester assessment from the instructor. For example, you are currently behind in class. I would suggest you try your best to catch up. Please contact me asap if you need help.
When asking for assistance the instructor provided the same information in the same exact format as provided online with the same wording as though he copied and pasted it in the email. I could read it. I wanted it more thoroughly explained. I felt the instructor was unwilling to be open to adjusting or modifying for my disability and it reflected in the grades I received and I didn't appreciate it. I tried really hard to get help when I needed to and he was stand-offish.
Sometimes, I would think too hard about the instructions of an assignment. In an on campus class, it is nice to have a verbal explanation of the instructions for some assignments.
As this was my first time taking an online course it was intimidating at first. I had to learn to navigate through the course to really understand the the necessary class work that needed to be done. It was at first frustrating as I tried to get ahead. If I had missed a part reading on the assignment it really threw me way off course. I had no way of knowing if I was doing the assignment correctly unless I pay attention to details. Overall going back and thinking about the process that went on I find that all necessary information were provided on the site. Again this was a learning experience for me.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
The videos and extra links were helpful, encouraging, and thought provoking. Mr Cawdery was quick with response to email questions and concerns regarding assignments.
I enjoyed the on-line experience 100% and found it very convenient to be able to take a college course and still work a full time job. I will sign up for more on-line courses. However, there was only one time I really missed the face-to-face advantage of discussing a particular topic with my fellow classmates. Otherwise, I did not miss the classroom at all. Everything I needed to do the work of this course was right here on line. This was a really good course and I learned a lot. thank you SO much!
The content of the course is easy to relate to.
learning about elementary education. service learning hours was a big plus. i learned about how the systems works.
The forums. So much fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed the forums as they bridged the distance, unmasked the fact that this was an online class. I had a lot of very spirited debates from my classmates about my responses to the forums. Yet, the forums were cut short. I highly recommend that the forums continue to the end of the course as they complimented the assignments.
The instructor allowed multiple types of media for the assignment submissions. That was new to me. I've gone to college for over 20 years and have 3 degrees and never had a professor who allowed so many different opportunities for choice. That was cool. I'm not hip to it, but it was cool.
The assistance from my Professor. He was awesome and guided me along with this course. He was very fair and understanding of the students progression. Professor is very aware of the students progress and expresses the will to help student with their problems.
It gave me the flexibility of when to view course material. Also, due to my hectic schedule, I could complete my assignments when it was most convenient for me.
To really understand my course of study I had to immerse myself with my study of the subject. The course also was at a steady phase and were clear on assignment due dates. It was enjoyable to be interacting online with my fellow students giving feedback and encouragement. I am looking forward to taking more online courses next semester.
Professor Cawdery was helpful and his assignments related to the lectures. Awesome teacher!

Without much student/instructor interaction, as it was on line- everything I needed was right here on line, all the materials provided, (reading, videos etc) were fantastic. I would recommend this instructor to others and I would look for him again when signing up for future courses.
Laulima needs to fix these glitches that it has been having. Other than that the course is great and very informative.
The course work was adequate. But could be greatly improved. Like continuing the forums. Even assigning group between students. So that there is a face to face meeting as well as an opportunity for students to build a network of ideas and to forge new friendships. What some of us disliked was the tardiness in the returning of our assignments. In my opinion, the service learning hours should be arranged by the AAT team as it is arranged by UHM and UHWO teams for their student teachers. Enjoy your summer and mahalo for the experience.
I enjoyed watching the TED videos, especially the one about hackschooling. Homeschooling is dear to my heart and it was nice to listen to such an eloquent young person. I learned a lot about the classroom, lesson planning and all the hard work it takes in preparation for the school year.
Although I have yet to meet Mr. Cawdery in person. I have a good sense that he cares about his students and is willing to help. I am looking forward to taking more classes from him. Thank you for making a difference!

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
This was my first online course. Ever. I'm still surprised at how effective it is as a vehicle toward learning. Much of that had to do with Michael's ability to teach the curricula. I do however, wish there had been actual in classroom, face-to-face time for communicating, sharing and rebuttal.

I came into this course with many teachers as my customers. I wanted to utilize obtaining my CTE as getting my, "foot in the door." I had experience as an outsider and want to use that vantage point with what I've learned thus far. I get it now and this is my new lease. On my way to doing so, my hope is that I'll be able to invigorate all the people I come into contact with.

Of course, the material presented in this class will become invaluable when it comes to dealing with different learning abilities and knowing the resources available to me. I'd always been the type of person to, "go it alone." Maybe years earlier, I would've been a much better worker, contributor and person had I learned what Michael taught in this class...
The lesson planning

It surprises me how well Michael was able to utilize the course material and use it toward my own learning. Detailed lesson plans, accommodations, time management and resourcefulness are skills I'm taking from ED285 Intro to Classroom Management. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. He has imparted valuable skills that I can use in relationships, people and not just in teaching. That's what a TEACHER is.
Great instructor, learned ALOT. Weekly Forums would have been more interactive if there was a bigger class enrollment. Thank you for putting up with all the questions!

17. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
Case study
Specifically the strategies of classroom management - procedures, classroom setup, dealing with the disruptive student.
I really love the sample you provide for each homework. Sometimes we dont really understand how to do a project or just to start it, but you always provide a student sample.
Pretty much everything. I honestly felt every assignment helped me get a better idea of what I need to do when I become a teacher.
The textbook and module info.
All of the material covered were valuable for the teaching profession.
To pinpoint one specific aspect would be too difficult since all the lessons were intertwined and all carried essential life lessons that are valuable not only in an educational career, but also in life in general.
I believe some of the assignment help you realize some things we will need to do to prepare for opening a classroom and being effective
They Harry Wong videos, I'm an auditory/visual learner and I really got into those. The points he made and they way he did things, they resonated the most with me. More so than the reading. It was really amazing to hear his stories and struggles and know that someone out there can help you make a plan for success
The assignments. I actually felt like I was setting up for my first school year. That was exciting! The course set up was also easy to follow.
The lesson planning phase and opening day portion of the class.
I loved that you could submit assignments on a variety of formats such as video, powerpoint, word doc.
18. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?

Overall, there really wasn't any fluff that could be left out. Everything was valuable.
I believe most of the material were focused on elementary school levels and not much in regards to high school or a CTE setting.
I didn't find anything less valuable than anything else. While I did have my favorite I can't say that anything was less valuable in the end.
I didn't love some of the student samples that were used. Some were great, others were so so.
Everything was valuable. I believe this class needs part II to dive further into some of the content.
Overall, the class was great! I couldn't ask for anything more.

He did a great job. Being that it is an online course, the instructions given in our weekly modules were clear and precise. Professor Cawdery presented our lessons well.
Clarify a few of the rubrics and maybe offer some examples for the E&A assignments to provide a better understanding of expectations.
Needs to not have so many tabs, websites, links etc for an assignment. he may be a tech wizard but many of us are not and you spend half you time trying to find the resources etc. also the assignment come in too many parts. read two articles for each article list three things ... for each of these three things define 2 things for these two things list 8 other things on tuesday if the wind is blowing out of the north lol.... you have to create an outline before you do some of the assignments.
I think you shouldn't reinvent the wheel, leave the course as it is.
Go back through the modules and correct some of the spelling/grammatical errors. Also, replace some of the student samples with better quality samples, if available.
His teaching of this course was great. In addition, he also coordinated the Praxis workshop for us who needed the help.
You should touch on the subject of Educational Reform more and create modules specific to that topic.
22. Other comments:
I enjoyed this course. I did learn a lot. Although, it required lots of time and discipline to get through with some of the assignments.
I really like the video clips, they helped me a lot especially doing class online. Sometimes watching it is better than too much reading because we get a better understanding of what the teacher is trying to explain.
Professor Cawdery is one of my favorite instructors. Online and in person, you can tell he is really dedicated to teaching and wanting to make the lessons interesting. He always tries to find ways to make sure that we understand the lessons. Also, he wants to know how we feel about the lessons and if the changes he has made are helping us! Thanks!
LOVE THIS CLASS! Even those not looking into a career in education should take this for all the valuable life lessons.
Great class it was my pleasure
Great outline for this class.

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
Nothing at all, only due to connection to the internet was the only lack of this online materials being available.
I had difficulties posting things and accessing videos from several of my computers at home. It was frustrating but I think it was an isolated issue.
Only being able to meet once a week with professor and peers for hands-on help.
that is new for me, but that is convenient.
There was too much information in the modules. It was overwhelming, and somewhat difficult to navigate.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
It was thoroughly explained very well the activities that were all involved with the course. I loved the fact that the rubrics were all well explained and there for our guidance.
I liked that assignments were manageable, 2 per week.
Mr. Cawdery's lessons in class really helped us complete our assignments at home. The material we learned throughout the semester was really helpful for aspiring teachers like us. His use of rubrics also helped us understand his expectations in class.
maybe save more time for study, learn more infromation with other students.

21. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
Overall, being in a new setting and being able to adjust and adapt in the area that we were given for the class.
Explain the weekly forums more.
he can find out some new artical or vedio put in course.
Provide more engaging activities in class, more hands on and interactive activities.
Nothing, very good teacher. made the course fun and interesting.
22. Other comments:
I am grateful for taking such a course because it was very informative and I am definitely taking the book with me every where I go because it is way beyond helpful and useful. Mr. Cawdery did a wonderful job adjusting daily and providing course materials and different methods for learning. I was blessed to have a small class with a diverse of students. Learned a lot from my elders.
I wish he had taught this course at LCC in the evenings so I didn't have to drive to Waianae. Mr. Cawdery was very approachable, caring, flexible, understanding, clear about his expectations, encouraging, funny. Overall, he was awesome! I enjoyed the class very much. I would highly recommend him.

21. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
Loved the lessons every time! Cawdery always made class fun and interesting! One thing I'd like to suggest though is perhaps have assignments every other week instead of every week. The reason being because many students might be taking more than a couple Ed courses, and these classes are really writing intensive. It might be more beneficial for the student and their learning if these were lessened to every other week. Forums were really beneficial and vital for the weekly meetings, so I would say to definitely keep those forums to be done weekly.
Continue having his classes work in groups because it helps us get to know our different classmates and we learn the different ideas of our classmates.
Limiting the forums so we can focus more on the assignments.
Maybe a little bit more flexibility
No improvements needed at this time. He is doing a very good job and I support him 100% in his teaching career

I dont think he needs too, maybe assign more reading.
The Lesson Plan presentation needs more structure, but that's about it.

Mr. Cawdery is a wonderful teacher. He kept his students engaged and his class intertesting. I like his humor. He's a great classroom manager and that is the point of the class so I'd say us, collectively, as students definitely benefited from him instructing the course. I'm a fan.
This is a great class and I have been applying many of the things I've learned from Mr. Cawdery to my service learning.

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
I think I would have got more out of this class if I trusted my instincts to go to the class at Kamaile. Hands on probably would have worked better for me.
The hardest part about online courses is keeping yourself motivated. Once you finish one assignment, it's on to the next. And it's all your responsibility to make sure you get it done...And hope you did it right.
The videos should be compatible to both PC and Macbook. I was unable to access the videos in modules with PC. I upgraded Quicktime and used other browser with upgrade, but was still unsuccessful. The help desk couldn't help me either. The only solution they could give me was to do it in the computer lab. I was frustrated because I had to purchase a Macbook in order to view them.
the thing that i least liked about this online course experience was that i should of taken in class because the courses I was fun to do and I could just imagine having to do it in class.
You need to be very diligent to get the assignments done or it is very easy to fall behind.
The online videos that were hosted on laulima did not play or played very slowly.

There were to much information in one module. It is hard to apply once self when there are new information right after the other.
I was able to share and see thoughts and ideas to my other fellow classmates.
it was confusing figuring out where to turn things in, this is the first time i have every had an online class.
Too many assignments with little time to complete them. One assignment per week with one forum per week was what was assigned. It could have been done with better quality and more thought if he allowed more time for certain assignments.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
Allows us to submit anytime we can.
The flexibility.
I like being able to look at the big picture of the class and see what's coming up ahead. It makes it easier for me to manage my time.
-The sample materials in each assignment was helpful. -The instructor was quick with his response to my emails. -I do like that Mr. Cawdery gives us the opportunity to resubmit low scoring assignments to obtain a better grade.
What I like the most about this online experience was that it was fun and very organized and clear. I thought it was going to be impossible learning it online but it's great.
I liked how there was still interaction through the forums to feel like a regular in-person class.
Relevant; real world
What I liked most about my online course experience is the fact that it gives me the flexibility with my children. I can start my assignments when I want and turn them in before its due.
Late assignments are accepted and re-submission of assignments are very very helpful.
I definitely like interacting with other students in the forums and working on with the projects which is fun and interactive.
It got me familiar with how things work online.
I feel like this class allowed me to earn my grade. Gave me a sense of achievement.

Maybe emphasize the service learning portion of the class earlier. Once it was finally in my head that I needed to do it, it was almost crunch time already.
This is my first on line course. I can't think of any at this time.
Mr. Cawdery did a very good job on organizing the course. Everything was straight on point syllabus and projects was clearly understandable and doable.

Re-consider the course assignments and weekly modules. There are just heaps of valuable information that are not sinking in as the semester goes on.
Professor Cawdery did an amazing job on teaching his students well and his really engaged in his teaching and he wants whats best for this students.
Be more clear as to where to turn things in online.

I really enjoyed this online class.
Thank you for allowing more time to get the assignments done. Working full time and going to school full time is extremely difficult, but I am appreciative for the make up time for assignments.
Thank you for your time in teaching this class.

Great Teacher and great lesson plan. Although it was a challenge to keep up, considering being a full time students and full time worker, the course content emphasizes valuable tools for us to use as future educator.
A very fun and energetic class!

Adjusting to the online course format was a little difficult in the beginning.
Having to Navigate to different areas to get information on each assignment on laulima website.
Some assignment submissions onky allowed attachments. This required extra steps when submitting links to multimedia projects in the cloud. Perhaps adding a text box to all assignments will callmake submitting multimedia projects easier.
Nothing. Class was great!

I am not very good with computers, so I did not understand many of the methods which were needed to submit forums and assignments.
This is the first time I took an online course, so it was a new experience. I miss the human interaction of being in a traditional classroom, but I appreciate that Mr. Cawdery incorporated and encouraged students to participate in a forum to share knowledge, ideas, and information. I also appreciate the many other benefits of an online course.
There is a serious lack of organization that makes it difficult to tell what the exact requirements are for some assignments. There are too many places to find information. It would be much more beneficial to have all the requirements for a single assignment in one or two places instead of three or four in order to cut down on the inconsistencies.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
He gave us examples of assignments that needed to be turned in, they give us time to catch up on work.
I think the expectations for the class were well organized. The assignments and due dates were clearly communicated.
I learned a great deal about management and I've applied some of learning sat home with my children and it has helped with a few things. Mr. Cawdery always tries to be as helpful as he can and provides his input on what he things is best.
The opening day project and how it was broken down to the different parts reach week. I also thoroughly enjoyed the service learning project.
That I had a week to do each assignment.
I liked that I was able to go at my own pace while adhering to set deadlines. In addition, the effort that Michael put in to setting up the Laulima site is amazing. It was so organized that it made it easier for me to navigate and stay on task through out the class.
its online and I can do it at home except the 10 hours of service.
I don't have time to take off of work from either one my jobs so being able to log on and get the work done without having to report to class a a HUUUGE THUMBS UP!!!!
The flexibility to be able to complete course work with my work schedule.
I really liked that this course was well organized, and the way professor Cawdery presented the weekly topics, especially the videos.
The coursework is not complicated and it was not necessary to collaborate with other students.

n/a; I think it was well organized. I enjoyed the course.
Some of the information in the forums were a little confusing because at the bottom of the page it informed me of the next assignment which in our syllabus was not the same. A more thorough and accurate description would be better.
See above.

Instead of repeating things over and over, just be direct and have things done once. I should not have to always look for different ways to find an answer to the questions. That makes is boring and frustrating and tends to lead to slacking off. Make assignments geared toward both elementary and secondary. Many of the assignments seemed geared toward elementary work.
Personally, I really appreciated the flexibility of the assessment assignments, which allowed the student to approach each assignment in a more personal way. Some students may want more direction and rigidity. The only potential improvement would be to mix things up a bit more. For each module (each week), there would be a reading, a forum, and an assignment; so it was a bit repetitive in this sense, though the course was very effective in teaching the learning objectives of the course.
Mr. Cawdery should work on explaining the actual relevance of each module of classroom management as a concept instead of using abstract reasoning. For example: "I want you to think about...bla bla bla" could be better explained as "the object of this assignment is to complete (...) thereby giving you the skills to (...)" The lack of organization previously stated should be improved upon, as well.

This class is overall awesome! Everything we covered is relevant and useful in the teaching profession!
I feel that this was a fantastic course and that Mr. Cawdery did a fantastic job designing this course to really apply the concepts learned in the course modules. Each of the assignments required the student to draw on personal experience, reflect on new situations and information, and apply the vast amount of information taught in this course.
I learned so much from this course, Thank You! I learned to be more organized, and I've improved my management skills.. I am more confident in becoming a teacher now compared to before I took this class.

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
I think the material learned in this course would have been better understood if taken in an actual classroom setting for myself. But the class itself was great.
While I have a personal dislike for online courses, there is nothing wrong with taking them in most cases. That said, the only thing I did not like about the online course was how it was a -summer- course.
I have no problems with the course or the curriculum, just summer for me was bad timing(condensed and accelerated). I really gained a lot in such a short period.
The amount of work done in the short time period. Since everything is online that also requires a larger workload for the teacher to properly assess the students' progress. An in class meeting would be beneficial when it comes to discussions and presenting our ideas.
The one thing I didn't like was how short the class was. It seemed like a lot to do and a lot of information to retain in only 6 weeks. If it was a little longer class, I think it would have been perfect.
Sometimes the instructions were unclear. Instructions given on-line can be interpreted differently from teacher to student. So, my instructor sets instructions and guidelines, but I may interpret them differently than how he wanted it to be competed.
the workload
I liked some of the forums least. That being said the other ones were a lot of fun to do.
The thing that I liked least was not being able to have him explain things to me face to face.
The information Mr. Cawdery gave us through the modules is very helpful. I enjoy every video and article in it.
service learning was a little frustrating because this was my first time doing a service learning assignment.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
I liked that Professor Cawdery made himself very available for all of us, and made his power points with audio as well, it made things more personal.
So many useful resources and the info provided by Mr. Cawdery. I know I am benefiting from from some of my assignments thanks to Mr. Cawdery and Ms. Erin Thompson. Some co-workers in the construction academy program are considering taking this course soon.
Professor Cawdery was very clear and detailed on what he wanted us to do. He gave feedback that was relevant and showed that he took the time to view our work. This teacher was very professional and approachable.
I liked how convenient it was to access assignments and lessons. I could do so on my laptop or on my iPad and it made it a lot easier to follow along. The other thing I liked was it was on my own time, there was no scheduled time that I absolutely needed to be in class, which was very promising since I'm a new mother and juggling my part-time job.
I liked how I could do my work at my own pace. I didn't have to wake up early to drive to school and sit in a classroom. I could do it on my own time.
Professor Cawdery went out of his way to help
I like the creative assignments most because it allowed me to show my future class ideas and what not.
I liked the creative freedom we had in this class.
I loved the fact that the course could adjust to my changing schedule.
i like the different learning strategies and procedures that was incorporated into this course.

I am now going through my first week of students at Roosevelt High and most of my assignments like procedures and rules are all in place. plus I went over my syllabus and lesson plans on the first day. Much Mahalo Teach!
I'd just like mention that Professor Cawdery was very understanding throughout the entire course. I had a lot of family problems that came up throughout the course and it made it more than difficult to stick to deadlines. But as I explained each situation that I was in Professor Cawdery understood and simply gave me the advice to "breathe and focus". I don't know if he realizes this or not, but in those few words he helped me more than anyone can ever imagine. This was a great course taught by a great Professor. I enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you!!!!
strongly recommend his class!

15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
I did not take this class online.
I don't like submitting assignments online, I'd much rather submit hard copies in class. I am more of a verbal person to person learner.
I thought it was ahrd at times when I didn't understand an assignment.
I didn't really have anything that I liked least about the instructor or the class. The only thing I'd say I disliked was that the class was at a late time for me and I didn't feel motivated to attend class regularly.
That everything was online and that when the computer had glitches it sent the wrong assignments to the wrong place and blocked me out of sending the correct ones
I liked how he explained everything so clearly (: Definitely made me understand the assignments way better.
Having people read your assignemnts
Alot of projects.
I didn't like the technical difficulties. Some videos didn't appear clearly.
There wasn't anything I disliked. I thought this class was very organized, with good explanations and examples. Mr. Cawdery was very helpful and on top of his game.
Motivation to go online and complete assignments. Towards the end of the semester I got lazy and didn't meet deadlines. Shame on me. In person classes are a little more easier in completing assignments on time, I'd have no choice, I'd see the teacher every other day.
Nothing, it was just my fault for my bad time management skills.
I thought that everything was great in this course and I would really recommend this course to anyone who is interested.
The fact that if I had a question, it wouldn't be answered immediately, like if I was in a face to face class.
I think online courses are convenient and a great thing when you work fulltime, but I think it is more fun and you get more out of a class when you actually go to it. I learned a lot, but I think the one on one with the teacher would have been more beneficial.
Nothing, everything was put into simple explanation
Nothing I enjoyed everything I learned and did.
My least favorite element was the lack of face to face interaction. Other than that the class was great and very helpful. I feel that this class may be more effective if done in person. The online option is great but as I want to be a teacher in a classroom I think I would want to observe this situation in person.
Sometimes hard to gauge how to complete assignments when there's no face to face interaction.
Sometimes I was unclear as to what exactly he wanted with assignments.
It was hard to keep up with everything with no face to face class, but overall I was okay
Some of the instructions were unclear and confusing, but nothing totally unforgiving.
This is my 1rst online class and I feel that I had trouble doing the computer stuff. It took time to figure out but I should get the hang of it by my next online class.
The lack of face-to-face time. This was my first experience with a DL course, and I have learned that it is not my preferred format. This is at no fault of the instructor of course, as I felt as though Mr. Cawdery was well organized.
It was only on my part, i haven't been keeping up because i kept forgetting to check laulima. But really the class was great.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
I did not take this class online.
I liked that we had the opportunity to resubmit online to correct and perfect our work.
I liked how we turned everything in online. That was easier for me rather than turning in millions of paper work.
I liked that Laulima was easy to understand because Mr Cawdery provided voice and video instructions on the site. I also liked how the assignments were easy to submit online.
It wasnt constantly more work to turn in next class period.
I liked how he gave examples of the work that needed to be done. It gave me a better understanding of all assignments.
I like how we can chat with the others about the class
There were many quality work samples to help guide us and show us what our finish product should look like.
Very fun teacher and is just a great teacher!
Everything online was well organized and structured. Due dates and instructions were clear.
I liked the different forums and assignments we had, it covered a lot of different things but it wasn't to broad where you were lost. Mr. Cawdery took us on a journey and built us up steadily!
Filled with a lot of information. Much needed for an online course.
Nothing, I wish I could have taken this class in person :(
I liked that even though it was an online course it was still easy to communicate with Professor Cawdery! He replied back fast with feedback that was asked for and he was very supportive.
I like the convienece, and that all materials/assignments are written down and I can refer back to any information from prior modules.
It is convenient, you can work on the material when time is available.
length of time to do activites.
The assignments were challenging and helped me to learn a lot of new and different things.
The readings and assignments. The forums and modules were understandable and fun and i had an outline presented to me every week for what was due. I was updated immediately if something changed and I am able to view assignment due dates and descriptions at any time.
The flexibility to work on assignments in the evening after work.
The assignments were really fun!! They were real life things we would use in teaching.
I liked how helpful the instructor was even though we never met face to face
I liked that there was an expected reciprocation between my classmates and I so that I could gauge how I was performing. Seeing my fellow classmates' work, thoughts, feedback definitely helped me improve my quality of work.
I like how the contents of the coarse relates directly to the classroom. I will surely use the techniques learned in this class when it my turn to teach my class.
All students participated in discussions creating a friendly environment where we could all voice our opinions.
The autonomy was kind of nice.
I liked the reading assignments and being able to rewind information.

Awesome and chill teacher!! Great text book and PowerPoint presentations.
Professor Cawdery was awesome! He is very detailed in what is expected with this course and he provides alot of examples to make sure we understand all task for each module!
I really learned a lot in this course and I feel more confident when I finally have my own classroom in the future.
Mr. Cawdery was very supportive and helpful and he provided insight and reflection when running ideas by him. I think he is a great teacher and I appreciate the way he set up this class.
Strongly recommend taking!
I absolutely loved this class! I'd definitely recommend this to future students with a passion for education.
I truly recommend this class for any student pursuing a career in teaching. The content of this class will be needed for any classroom that is organized and is ready for a child to learn.
Michael Cawdery is a very wonderful professor. He is very passionate and motivated to not only convey the subject material, but to put us in the right frame of mind for a career in education. His dedication to the AAT program and the success of the individuals within the program is certainly noteworthy.

13. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?
Presentations at end of semester, group work/discussions, classmates that showed up to class.
Ways to assist students with disabilities, and always keeping an open mind with students and their personal lives.
I liked that professor Cawdery was very knowledgeable about the course material. Teaching a class on teaching is difficult but he made it seem otherwise. He was very friendly and willing to help and he often presented the course work in an interesting, hands-on way.
The final project.
Allowing students to explore material by viewing websites and articles instead of a straight lecture.
I enjoyed the entire scope of the material covered and felt that it was imperative to the preparation of any aspiring educator. Michael Cawdery is a phenomenal instructor that not only constructed his curriculum around conveying pertinent information, but also helped greatly when there was a concept or idea that needed clarification. Michael Cawdery exceeded my expectations as an instructor which in turn made the content of the course much easier to grasp and to put into context. I would highly recommend Michael Cawdery as an instructor to my peers.
i liked the new strategies we learned for each students disability
Learning about the different groups that we will teach when we have our own classroom. And methods and stratergies to help better their learning.
The best aspect of the course was that we go over the homework throughout the week so that by the time Sunday comes (homework due date), we have an idea on how to complete the work. I also like the positive atmosphere of the class.
Michael always returns my calls and he makes the time to help me with the problems I having in this course.
I like how he always had an answer to my questions and he didn't treat us like we were below him just because we are students. He is a very fun and entertaining professor and you can tell that he really cares for his students.
I liked the group projects/works in this class.
14. Which aspects of the course did you like least?
Some students could not keep up with the class due to other class workload and lack of time management, jobs, social obligations etc... As a result, Attendance in class was sometimes low.
N/A
I'm not a fan of online assignments because I personally just forget to submit them by a certain time. Other than that, I did not dislike anything about the course.
Reading long articles.
the environment is in a relaxed setting and everyone gets along with each other
Nothing.
class lectures
honestly, the readings. If everything was a youtube video, that would be cool.
I didn't like how our Final Project was explained to us. I think the instructions should be more precise and clear.
Not grading our assignments on time.
There was nothing that I like least everything was great.
15. My overall evaluation of this course is...
It is the first face to face for this course and went pretty well. Mr. Cawdery was accommodating and flexible to help students achieve their goal.
Excellent, Professor is easy to understand, always available for help, always replies to emails, always making the students feel comfortable.
This course is excellent. Very thorough and everything profess Cawdery presents is relevant. The final project, in which we needed to go out into the education community and meet with an educator or organization, was a great way to have us internalize everything we had learned throughout the semester.
It's cool.
excellent because I feel more prepared to tackle students with challenges
Wonderful. I know that this course is actually an elective ED course, but in my humble opinion this is a course that contains curriculum that should be required for all AAT students. Honestly, I cannot see becoming a teacher without covering the information that was taught in this class.
i liked this course it was very life changing and inspirational for me whewn i become a teacher. i learned many strategies and different disabilities in this course.
I really do enjoy this class. I reccomend this course to EVERYONE who wants to be a teacher. get exposed now and learn more later.
This course was very informative. I like how there's a reoccuring theme throughtout the semester. Overall, this course was good.
Michael is very understanding and available when you need him.
Excellent! I love this class. It helped me to see the classroom in a different way towards students.

15. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?
The forums and most of the assignments.
I loved the class, and the information it provided about classroom management for teachers. It is really helpful and will also be helpful in the future!
Good materials to prepare for teaching
Video clips were helpful
It was so organized. Although it was not a face-to-face class, I was able to gain several knowleadge via Laulima that I will be able to apply into my actual situation.
I really liked the way Professor Cawdery helped me out via email. Anytime I had a question, he always responded in a very timely manner. I especially liked how all the ED classes in laulima are almost exactly the same (format wise) so no matter what professor I have, I know the format of their Laulima tab will be similar.
All assignments were very interesting and excellent put together. A lot of times the assignments and reading helped me in my own class.
I really liked the text book and how the course walked us through it and had us think about all aspects of our teaching and have us work up presentations, first day scripts, room organization, etc.
i enjoyed the forums, they were always very interesting
Everything, even though I had/have the experience of working in the education field it is always great to learn and gain new knowledge.
I liked how Michael Cawdery accepts late work assignments.
Organization
I liked the forums and the assignments which was really resourceful for me in my Educational Journey about learning more about education.
ALL
hands on learning
The videos we watched in class.
I enjoyed the the entire course from the material it's self to the activities, group work, and projects
He used videos, hands-on activities, and incorporated group work. Very understanding and appreciative. Encouraged students to share their ideas and made everyone's responses relevant.
The aspects that I really enjoyed were the classroom display, classroom management, watching Harry Wong emphasizing the importance of classroom procedures and routines.
I liked every thing about the course. The instructor made each and every class enjoyable and interesting. I hope to have this instructor for more of my education courses.
I liked the fact that he took the time to make sure we understood the class and objectives. He gave me sense of seeing what it is to become a teacher. Also he made class enjoyable and made sure me were okay and if not then he was always there to help me.
i liked the interaction that happened in class every class and we are always engaged
I liked that there was a classroom work day as well as a strong internet component.
Mr cawderys willingness to help us
He was very consistent with helping his students when they needed his assistance.
The big projects were broken up into parts. Liked that, also liked that there were models and examples for each portion. Made it relevant
He is an active and good instructor. Most of the assignments were relevant and helpful.
What I like about this course is that Mr. Cawdery will work with students with clarity and any student will feel comfortable to approach him.
I liked that Mr. Cawdery always made the class fun every time I stepped into the classroom.
I like how Michael Cawdery taught this course with a lot of passion and knowledge. He is a very great speaker and encourages his students to do their best. He is a great mentor and gives the best advice about classroom management.
I enjoyed the forums. I was able to view perspectives of different students which helped me understand topics on another level in which I had not the first time. In addition, I enjoyed the videos that we watched in class in which we had to identify classroom management strageties.
I enjoy working in class and doing group activities. We did hands on activities and things that we can apply to our daily life.
that we talked about the work that was going to be on the fourms so it made the work easier to do when it came time to do it.
The aspects that I liked best was that the professor gave much time to turn in or complete assignments, gave fast responses to e-mails, and offered help and possible resources and/or services to help me succeed in the class.
Prof. Cawdery is a very professional and personal instructor. Nowadays, this is a very rare quality among all teachers of all education levels. I highly recommend Micheal Cawdery for anyone interested in teaching, but also for anyone interested in counseling or those who have a passion for looking into the ethical issues involving public education. He is very persuasive in his views about teaching while at the same time, he is open to outside opinion. The most important thing was that he practiced what he preached. Prof. Cawdery focused on the bigger picture; making learning enjoyable and effective by motivating students to learn, retain and apply their skills. This is probably one of the best courses I've ever taken since I began college. God bless and enjoy the break!
That he is always willing to help his students no matter what.
I liked the Opening Day project the best because it showed me how the first day of school can be used to set the mood of your class throughout the whole school year.
Very personal towards course and students.
I liked the team building activities.
I like all of the information that was presented; I learned a lot. There were a variety of learning activities that we did in class and not just lecture. It was well organized and I knew exactly when things were due. I like that the teacher was available to help me and was understanding. I also liked that the teacher sended out weekly reminders for our assignments; it helps people who are very busy and may forget.
I love this class from the beginning but as it got to the middle it got harder for me because im still learning my time management. i love the way Michael Start of his class with an ice breaker. i got to know my peer and was able to be comfortable throughout the course because i know i was not alone though we all came from different country culture i was able to connect with the student. Michael is definitely an effective teacher i would recommend him to others student and if i had money i will love to take his class again because is worth taking it.
The class was very easy to understand while also being fun and interesting.
The aspects that I like the best is learning how to make a classroom successful. This curriculum was based on how to become a successful teacher, classroom management, lesson plans, how to keep students in tact, rules and procedures. These were by far the most useful information that I have learned in this class.
online forums and assignments.
Internship
A lot of knowledge provided. Helpful resources
I liked how we were able to work together as groups and the fact that we can resubmit our assignments if we feel like we didn't put our all into it.
video clip examples. The topics for lesson plans were open to any subject.
Lesson Plan and service learning were fun! Also hands-on activities!
Creating my own class, lesson plans, parent letter, and having the opportunity to work with students through service learning.
The way we had more discussion versus lecture kept me more interested, was a nice change.
I appreciated the fact that our instructor was very quick to answer to any questions we had on our assignments.
16. Which aspects of the course did you like least?
Reading...
N/A
None
A times the forum, Assignments, and Module was not clear which took me several times reading and reading until I got it.
Since Dr. Cawdery has changed the course around from previous semesters the titles do not match what we are actually working on. Also some proof reading would be good.
Assignments were tough at times
The only hard thing about it is trying to balance getting an assignment in every sunday with my other 3 classes. Which I've gotten everyone in except these past 3 which I'm hoping to get catch up on.
None everything was good
I disliked all the assignments.
not understand online assignments
The assignments were lengthy and I found it hard to manage dealing with so much other things.
The time of the class was the only thing I struggled with but I know that it is something that is hard to change
No comment
I enjoyed every aspect of the course, yes for me some were stressful only because I am not computer literate but through this course I learned to use the computer and was able to accomplish and complete the required assignments.
see above box
N/A
none
There was no aspect of this course which I found non-helpful in my education journey.
The reading assignments on laulima.
Nothing
I am having trouble with the service learning assignment. I have contacted each of 3 school, multiple times and have gotten no response. I started contacting six weeks ago. Now, I know there is not enough time to complete the work and I know that I will fail the course. This assignment should be eliminated or the professor needs to have an active role in recruiting schools to comply.
I don't think I had a time that I didn't like. Mr. Cawdery's class was always fun and active.
I least liked the Lesson Plan Presentation because I was kind of unprepared. I really wished that the forum about the LP presentations was assigned to us the week before the presenations that way it would have been clear exactly what was wanted from the presenation. I did not know that we could present it through a powerpoint so I only had my Lesson plan to show. Though it is good he gives us a chance to still make changes to our lesson plan online and resubmit them.
I really cannot say much. I really enjoyed this course.
I liked everything we did in class. nothing was bad.
that the period was short so we did not get to as much as we could have
I can't think about anything I didn't like about the course
I can't say much. Because I wasn't familier with modern technology, the most difficult part was figuring out how to use the forums, submit work via online and find certain articles. But by mid-semester, I had enough help to figure out how to access stuff like that.
Taking it online because it was challenging
The Forums are what I least liked about the course.
N/A
All the forums.
What I like least about the course is because is to short. I wish it was little bit longer so i can gain all things that i need to learned to be a success student. Also because it take me time to learn the course. I was really starting to get to know what i was doing in the classroom and what was expected of me.
There isn't anything negative that I found about this course.
There was no aspect I least liked, because all of the information the professor taught, and explained were all important. The only thing I had a hard time understanding was always the directions for some assignments. There was rubrics, but some of the rubrics weren't clear, and they were just confusing.
attendence.
Mandatory interaction with other students
most assignment due on a weekly basis straight
N/A
There was nothing that i did not like.
N/a
It seemed like everything we did in class was what the assignment for that week was. Which would have been great, but I do all my assignments ahead of time so coming to class was kind of a waste.
I did not like the lack of clarity on the instructions of certain assignments. Some assignments seemed unclear, and there were a few of them that had different criteria listed on the rubric and the assignment instructions.
17. My overall evaluation of this course is...
Despite the overload from all my classes, I really liked this course.
This class is very helpful!!
Good! I enjoyed it!
I will recommend it to others
excellent!
Excellent! Every student who is going into teaching and teachers who are already teaching, should go through this course at least once!
Awesome I did recommend this course to one of the teacher that I work with, only because she said she was struggling in her class and didn't know what to do. One big one was the childern was out of control, she has no authority over them. Rules are broken with no consequences and procedures are not followed through, This help me plenty.
Great course. Everyone in education should take this course. We get bits and pieces of classroom management in other classes but nothing this thorough.
Good
Excellent
I would recommend him to another student. Though I did not have the opportunity to take this course in class, I was able to learn new information that I will be able to apply as a future educator.
10/10
He is a good professor for an online class he really explained things well to me. He got back to me in a timely manner. Was helpful in explaining my assignments to me. I would recommend his class to others.

My overall evaluation of this course was it was fun. It kept the mind going. Always active.
I think this course was excellent because the class was very interactive and involved a lot of hands-on activities. It is so helpful to take this class for future teachers.
Throughout this semester I have left every class with more food for my thoughts. In other words, I left enlightened with insight on management skills within my own personal life and work. This class has definately improved my teaching stragetis.
This course was very helpful in my filed. I learned alot about becoming a teacher and creating a lesson plan to start of teaching.
that the course is helpful to apply to actual situations and it was an eye- opening learning experiences as to how to be an effective instructor
This is one of the best courses I've ever taken. As an added perk, I met a ton of new friends here! Everyday there almost seemed like a social gathering (fellowship haha) as opposed to school.
That it's a good course to take and I reccomend this teacher
I would give it a 9 out of 10. Having an "engaging" professor always makes a class more alive. Professor Cawdery is awesome so his class was awesome.
Learned a lot of resources that I can use in my own classroom in the future.
It was good.
It's a good course that challenged me.
My overall evaluation of this course is the best I have ever learned. Im glad that it's been though in School.
I feel that mr. Cawdery is an excellent teacher. His lessons are clear and engaging. He also goes out of his way to ensure his student's success inside and outside of the classroom.
I would refer anyone to take this course, the professor is fun! laid back allows a variety of ways to turn in work! This professor provides great insight based on past experiences, he makes the course relate-able
GREAT!
Excellent. I was able to obtain a lot of knowledge and could use these in future references/resources. Ability to apply to career.
This course is very knowledgable and very interactive in terms of actually working with teachers from other schools and creating lesson plans and procedures that we will need to learn how to make.
I thought this course along with Professor Cawdery's knowledge of subject matter was very helpful and informative.
Its an excellent course, even though i learned most of the things in this class already in teachers academy, i still loved it because it refreshed my memory and it was interesting to learn more.
Excellent course. Really showed me how important managing a classroom is and what difference it can make.
It is a good course I would recommend. Nothing unreasonable or difficult.
Overall, I thought the course was good. I feel as if it did a good job scaffolding students do design a lesson plan and helped new teachers consider details that would help them down the road.

The professor and class was great.
Loved it
Michael Cawdry is an excellent teacher. All material was interesting, enjoyable and well explained. I enjoyed going to class every week to learn the new material he would be presenting to the class.
He is a great teacher!!!
Mahalo for your time and passion in teaching this class.
Very cool class. The staff and faculty of the AAT program rocks! :)
He did very good and he does not set you up to fail. He helps you throughout the semeter.
As a piece of advice to anybody planning to join this class, be sure you become familier with technology used throughout the course. (Forums, Online articles etc.) And be prepared to work weekly. It'll be a lot less stressful keeping up a little very day then procrastinating all the work until the last day.
I enjoyed ED285 and I would recommend Professor Cawdery to other students that are taking ED classes.
Thank YOU Michael!
Create clearer rubrics/directions for assignments You make a lot of rubrics for some assignments which is also confusing, for example all the guidelines, some aren't necessary.... I understand they are to help us but sometimes you give out too much guidelines. I end up getting confused, because you hand out guidelines to help us then you have rubrics online which doesn't really match well with the guidelines.
