13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Knowing the subject that he teaches was very good and encouraged students to get the homework test and score well.
he is good using his humor in teaching.
The most funny and cool teacher Ive met in Kapiolani Community College. He Focus on base on computer. He teaches us step by step how we can improve our skills base on computer skills.
He is VERY knowledgeable in his subject, and also knows effective way to teach in class.
encourages students not doing well in class.
He is a very effective communicator and is very knowledgeable.
he always bring up some fun things to talk to and make us laugh a lot!!
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
N/A.
More interactive technology.
Please changed the minimum required to complete at the end of the semester on Simnet. For students who has little knowledge and experience on Microsoft word, excel and powerpoint should have tutoring session and introductory basics information given in the first of semester.
none, i like everything about him
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
show very much concern for failing students and always encourage those who didn't have a higher grade on a quiz/test.
He email us students and talked to us individual to do what we are missing in class, even give us chance to retake some test so we aim for the best.
Yes he really shows his concerns and always reminds us to let him know if we need anything. He responses to email very quickly, and helps with homework and assignments a lot.
email-phone and in class
He takes his time to make sure everyone has their questions asked and assignments done and understood.
he go door to door, ask us if we need anything or any question
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes. For first time students in computers because he is hands on and encourage students.
I do recommend Mr. Moore because He doenst only talk in class to teach but also entertain us with some funny joke all base on computer.
Yes, i would definitely recommend him to students. His class is very enjoyable and you can also learn a lot from attending class.
Maybe. Depends on the work
I would recommend this teacher because he really has a lot of knowledge and tries to keep his class lively and engaged in the the topics.
none everything he did excellent job.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
it has been my pleasure being in his class.
I too am a teacher, I educate fools everyday. hehehe thank you Mr. Moore
Over all a GREAT teacher. recommended to anyone.
Good teacher however I disliked the load of projects acquired in the semester. I was overwhelm doing all of it. Reading instruction was too much. Not a computer person. Sorry. Students who aren't familiar with Microsoft word document etc should have practice activity so that they know how to do well in the actual project.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Easy going.
Gave instructions fluently, and made class interesting than most other professors.
He is a great teacher! Flexible, Accessible, well organized...
Knows subject matter well. Entertaining.
very nice teacher, gives information of the current/trending events and very considerate
That he cares and wants to share his knowledge with his students. He also tries hard to do it in a way that is fun and interesting. Unfortunately, most of the students in this class only wanted the class time to do computer projects. They didn't appreciate his experience and knowledge that he shared that's not in the books.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Do not let students turn in anything late, encourages procrastination.
Nothing, just keep doing what he is doing.
No, nothing has to be changed!
none
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
Did not respond to emails in a helping manner.
He gave enough time and more than enough chances to do their homework, exams, etc.
- He talk with each students and ask their questions every class. - And he tried to remember all students name. - When I emailed him, he replied quickly and told me directly in the class again.
Goes to each student individually during class.
He asked everyone, one by one, if they needed help every class session.
ask questions and make us do some activities
He offered to meet with students after class if they needed more help than available during class time. He made adjustments to deadlines, etc. when the majority of students were having similar problems.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
No
I would highly recommend Mr. Moore. Because he is a very great professor who knows how and what to teach.
Yes, I definitely I will.
Yes, he taught an enjoyable class and set up a great learning environment.
none
Yes but would explain that his main goal of class time is to expand student's awareness thru lectures, videos, etc. of information that is relevant to the course but not necessarily in the books. Once projects begin, he does try to give class time to do them but it's usually the last 20-30 minutes. Students are expected to do projects on their own time but he's upfront about this at the beginning of the semester.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Show better concern for students, don't let people turn in late work, that is why I am so far behind and have to do a lot in little time to get a good grade, encouraged too much procrastination, did not care one bit for anyone.

Knowledge
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Online exams are really unconfortable and has so many problems. In addition, projects were so crazy, because these sometimes have different questions from instruction.
Have the syllabus ready at the beginning of the course and have one from the previous semester
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He offers retake assignments when class fails on assignments.
Really good at giving opportunities for extra credit
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, make sure your computer is up-to-date as it is necessary for class.
No. It means don't take online course.
Yes if you know computers and programs, and need just this as a requirement. No, if you are new o no experience with computers and programs, he can be short in his answers and at times discourages you to make questions. His schedule sometimes is not clear, but his announcements in Laulima are more update but at the same time he would say that the announcement board is not to remind us about assignments that for that you have the schedule. And eventually stop his announcements. But the announcements were really helpful and added clarification to the schedule and syllabus since we don't the same interaction as a face to face class.
yes, i strongly recommend his class if you need to improve ur computer skills.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
His class has a lot of chances for extra points, so this is really good.
18. Other comments:
thanks for your help always
If we buy a book and pay for the access to connect plus and the instructor decided to don't use we are not using all the benefits of our purchase. The books are expensive it would better to use as its fullest.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Responses were timely, and very personable. He followed up on emails and would even check to see that progress was being made after the conversation had ended.
He is very relaxed and approachable. He showed mercy on those of us who fell behind, like me, making it possible for us to climb back and pass course.
I liked that Moore encouraged me to think for myself. The beginning of the semester he would announce current and upcoming assignment due dates. At the mid of the semester I noticed less announcements which I found to be good because as a college students we should be responsible for knowing due dates, especially if there is a schedule that has all the assignments that are due for the entire semester.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
none.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He called them to let them know how they are doing in the class.
He actually did contact the Simnet rep to try to clear up some issues other students and myself were having. That's always nice.
He gave everyone a chance to pass even after falling behind.
He let us know that we could email him and schedule phone calls.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, I'd recommend other teachers to take a similar approach as his.
Yes I would recommend Moore to other students but I would let them know that he is a very simple, straight forward type of teaching. And the student would need to be very responsible.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Really chill professor.
none.

The Simnet exams are ridiculously long for the time allotted.
A grade check point every week. Because I'm a dork, I like to know where I stand. I wasn't ever sure besides from SimNet what I was getting. Wasn't sure about the discussion board, or the drop box assignments.

Great personality.
Great teacher, learned a lot
18. Other comments:
It was too difficult for me. Im not good at both English and machines. I couldn't follow on on- line. But I really regret to miss all of things. I am going to try it again in-class.
Simnet is a big pain to use, and the lessons and exams are extremely time consuming to the point of frustration.

Class was very fun.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
He was clearly presentable. He had patience. He was very well organized.
well knowledgable in his subjeft matter.
Mr. Moore was always there for me if I needed to ask questions.
He's a great people person! I mean you can talk to him without feeling awkward or nervous like most teachers make us feel.
Everything. Best teacher I've had in a while.
He knew the subject matter.
He really thinks about students and he has a lot of knowledge.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
None.
A slower course content
At some times I felt this class was a self teaching class. I think that less exams and tests should be from Simnet and more from what we learn in class.
No suggestions. Keep up the good work.
It would be nice to know our grades as we go along.
Make the project requirements more clear or even go over it in class so we can have a better understanding of what we're supposed to do.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He encouraged students to go visit him during office hours. He always made sure he had time for students. He was always in class 99.9% of the time. He devoted more of his time for his students then himself.
He talked to us individually anout our postion in class.
Mr. Moore always brought his smile to class and made me feel comfortable. He was always open to suggestions and really helped me to get an A in the class. If he was more closed minded then I might not have gotten an A.
He tells us all the time that we can e-mail him if we have any questions. And that he's available most of the time right after-class during his office hours.
Offered his office hours and email to students constantly, and was always there to help.
He encouraged us to see him in his office after class if we need any help.
He cares about students very much. He always asks if we need help on something. I usually hesitate to talk to teachers, but he made it easy to talk to him.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
I would positively recommend Tom Moore to other students because he provided a positive learning experience and a great learning environment.
Yes, he has a funny sense of humer in teaching.
Yes. He is a fun teacher to learn from.
I would definitely recommend him to other students interested in learning more about computers. You will not be bored.
Yes, definitely. His class was difficult for me, but he made it easy to learn.
Yes I would recommend him because I did learn in his class but not as much because I had already took a similar class to his my senior year in high school.
Yes. When I had questions, he researched about it and gave us answers.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
none
Great teacher. Give this guy a raise.
I really enjoyed his class. He's funny and tried to make classes fun. I always had a good time in class. Also, first, I thought this class might be the most difficult class for me, however, Mr. Moore kept me motivated, so this class was actually my favorite class.
