Professor May was a good clinical instructor. She was very knowledgeable about the skills and medications and was a helpful resource. Sometimes, our assignments that were due were unclear, but we were easily able to reach her to ask questions. We also enjoyed having Jenny as our clinical instructor for a couple of weeks, and she was a valuable resource when it came to clinical skills and medication administration.
Maylene was a good clinical instructor who searched opportunities for us to practice our skills. Though we weren't able to perform much, she did what she could with what was available. Overall she showed great knowledge in certain clinical techniques and is a kind and caring instructor.
I really enjoyed having May as my clinical instructor this semester. She taught us many things at clinical, and from all that we have learned, I feel that I have become a better nurse. She was very easy to approach and talk to, and very helpful with any questions or concerns that we had. I have learned many valuable lessons thanks to her, I for that, I am extremely grateful!
Maylene was a great instructor; she encouraged us to do many things outside our comfort zone and she was always there when we needed help. She is also very understanding.
May was a great clinical instructor. She was helpful when I needed some clarification on something that I didn't quite understand. She was very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience making it easy for us learn in the clinical setting. Some things she could improve on are giving the students more independence when we are able to do certain skills in clinical. Sometimes, if we don't feel confident enough, she will do a lot of it for us and let us watch her. So to make an even greater learning experience, it would be great if she just threw us straight in and let us do things on our own but be there to reassure us that we are doing it correctly. Other than thank I had a great semester with May. thank you!
May taught me a lot of information of skills and diseases. She helped me to look deeper into things and concentrate on the rationale of why I was doing things instead of just doing them because I had to. She emphasized safety a lot and it helped me become more aware to the patient's safety. It was good that she guided us a lot but maybe some things she could let us do most of it ourselves such as medication administration. It would be helpful that she would be more organized and stick to one decision. Sometimes she would tell us one thing and do the other. Other than that, May is a very good clinical instructor. She is filled with knowledge to pass onto students and enjoys teaching them as much as possible.
May was a great clinical professor. She is such a sweet and caring person to her students. We do not have to feel intimidated to ask her questions and she is there to help all of us when needed. May guided us through clinical by watching and teaching us further about the skills we were performing. I always had questions, and she never failed to clarify and answer them well. Thank you for a great clinical semester May!!
Maylene is really nice and generous. She helped me practice a lot of skills at clinical and set high expectations for us to be prepared at clinicals. I enjoyed having May as an instructor because she is really understanding that we have other work and exams going on other than clinicals.
Although Maylene is a good person, I did not enjoy clinical this semester as much as I had originally hoped. I did not feel challenged to be better by my clinical instructor. We tended to leave the site early because at times there was little for us to do, but I would have rather been at clinical in that environment than at home doing nothing to better my education. Maylene also treated some students unfairly and she had slight biases. I sometimes got the impression that Maylene did not care about us as much as a clinical instructor should, and she had better places to be than in the hospital teaching us. The staff at the hospital were not as friendly either, and Maylene did not talk to them about treating the students with more respect. Also, during certain skills, I felt that as long as we generally did the correct procedure she did not intervene. I would have rather had a clinical instructor that was more precise and detail oriented because I feel that the details are equally important to the procedure. Lastly, during discussions Maylene tended to lecture/ talk at the group rather than make it interactive and have us participate. Overall, clinical this semester did not meet my standards.

Does not need improvement.
I would have preferred to stay in one or two clinical spots instead of going to a handful of them.

Enjoyed clinicals with this instructor and gained a better understanding with her help.
Not only is she knowledgable about nursing skills and rationale, but she actively sought to help her students and made sure we had a thorough understanding of what we've learned in both class and clinical. I learned a lot this semester- she's a great professor!
