13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Knowledge of material, and personal experiences
Very knowledgeable on the subject. It was taught at a fast pace but he gave us a lot of different ways to obtain the knowledge.
knowledge of material
Knew the material very well
He went beyond the course material to teach us more from what he has experienced.
He knows the material extremely well and forces you to think for yourself before giving you the answers.
he really knows his stuff. always answers questions. usually take time to explain things. always willing to help out after hours.
His major strengths are a vast knowlage as well as a passion for ems. He took the time to explain things to me in terms I could understand and then helped me to apply said knowlage.
His knowledge in this field is remarkable. Lots of hands on time.
Very knowledgeable. Knows material very well
He has a strong knowledge base and lots of experience
He knows the information being presented very well. He has the ability to gauge his students and adapt to their level of understanding and educate them from that standpoint and build up each student individually.
Excellent knowledge in the subject area.
Dave has a very extensive knowledge base and an aptitude for the skills required to be a good EMT/Paramedic.
Knowledge and experience on subject!!!! and willingness to help the students during and after class.
highly knowledgeable
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
N/A
be clearer on instructions
if possible extend the course so it is not as crammed.
Maybe study guides for tests.
to try and create a more solid syllabus so that students can better understand whats coming up.
A little more clarity of what is to be on upcoming test would be great.
To organize the test and material a little better
class could have been more straight forward and directed so we could nail some points early instead of having to go back and review because we didn't retain some of the info that we went over due to a scattered type of studying
None.
Continue working as an MICT.
none
syllabus and study materials specific to tests and assignments
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He worked personally with each of us
He said if any of us fail then he failed, which showed that he was gonna do all that he could to prevent that from happening. Putting in extra time after work, study sessions, and one on one couseling.
stayed after class and helped students who needed help
he helped students out of class
He organized study sessions for students who were struggling.
by holding after hour study sessions for those who need more help.
Dave showed exceptioonal concern by printing me extra study packets on my request so I could stay fresh over the weekend. He would also show up early and stay late to work with anyone who wanted to come in.
He went above and beyond to make sure the students who learned a little slower than the others were keeping up. He stayed late and showed up at group study sessions willing to teach.
Always helped with questions we were unsure of or material that wasnt covered.
David worked really hard and put in more time than he needed to help us get through this very tough course. David worked through lunches and also met up with us after class on his own time
He constantly monitored the class as a whole to make sure that each student had grasped the information being presented. If needed he took time to break down the information so that this was the case. If a student did not do well on a certain subject he would work with the student individually and provide additional resources for that student to stay on the same page as the rest of the class.
By encouraging us to quit.
Yes
David Mendonsa went out of his way to help any student who asked and or needed.

17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Good job.
lots of knowledge, just not enough time to soak up everything he has to offer because length of course.
Thanks for pushing us and teaching us more than just the basics.
I would like to say that I took this program previous in Arizona several years ago and the level of training I received from Dave was hands down better and exponentialy more benificial to EMS.
I feel his preparation for what was to come for us was great. He was hard on us at times because he knew our preceptors would be.
I learned more than i thought i did based on a 6 month course.
He was rude and sarcastic.
He put in extra time after class hours to help students in need

The course was taught at a fast pace and he did a good job of making sure that people understood the material. Nobody failed and we all pulled through. Well taught!
He tries to make scenarios in the classroom setting just like the real thing so the students can learn to apply their skills in different situations.
Thanks for the help!!
