22. Which aspects of the course did you like the best?
This is a class with real world application and is taught in a well-thought-out, productive manner by an instructer that not only knows his material, but cares for it greatly.
The discussions were good. I would have liked to have heard more from the professor, to gain from his years of expertise.
The course had a strong focus on practical concept applications, including possible research activities, employment opportunities, and the need for community involvement. A focus on practical applications is very helpful on the graduate level where students are more actively involved in their chosen fields. Classroom activities often helped encourage individual thinking and concept integration without creating a burdensome workload.
I loved the class discussions and presentations
23. Which aspects of the course did you like least?
Nothing!
I really enjoyed this course. My only suggestion would be to spend less time covering juvenile delinquency so as to allow for more coverage of other topic areas.
I think the focus was too heavy on juvenile delinquency. I realize this is the instructor's area of expertise, but I feel that it narrowed the scope of what we could have learned in the class given the very wide range of topics covered by "community and cultural psychology".
Some reading assignments were never discussed in class or on tests, and most likely could have been included as suggested rather than required readings in order to cut back on workload. However, this might have been the unanticipated consequence of the course of the classroom discussion, which is to be expected to some degree in a seminar class setting.
Lots of reading, but it was interesting!
