13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

One of the things I like about Mrs. DeMarco is that she is always ready to answer questions any student in her class may have. Her answers are direct and very helpful. She is an expert in what she's doing and she's committed in helping students meet their goals. Thank you Mrs D. Very good job! It was just the right amount of challenge for me! I liked to cog hill project. some of the chapters was kind of hard and i didnʻt understand until we started to do the problems in class.

This was a great class and maybe next time she should tell everyone to make friends with their classmates and get their numbers. Get eachothers numbers in case we need extra help, also to get the tutors contact numbers will be very helpful.

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

I felt this course was very helpful, I got a better insight of how the process of payroll is really like. Thank you Mrs. D for all of your help. I enjoy doing payroll worksheets. The payroll project provide an enhancement to what the payroll taxes is all about. I learn how to do payroll exercises using the spreadsheets and the software. I think putting what we learned and using it in a large scale project was necessary and helpful. Course was nicely organized, laid out, and we stayed on track (no surprise changes) Instructor lectured on all relevent information. I liked the payroll project even though it was very time consuming and i could only do it in class because i didnʻt have a reliable computer connection.Everyone in the class was very nice and everyone got along well. This is a useful course and Mrs. Marla DeMarco very well prepare. She is a good instructor. I liked the projects even though i might not have done a great job on them. I liked the way she was available to help online and if you needed to, she could help you in person as well on campus. You are a great teacher, But I find doing online classes difficult. It's much easier for me to learn in the classroom rather than online. I like the fact that if we needed extra help or could not figure it out she was willing to let us come into the class room. It was very informative

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

Mrs. D, doesnʻt need any help or improvements she is the bomb when it comes to any type of accounting work. I have gain a lot of knowledge from all of my classes that I have taken with her. none. Nothing Nothing to improve. none None No All of the homework was set to one time limit while the final for the payroll was three weeks long. It kind of made it easy to procrastinate.

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

Mrs D, was very thorough. I really learned a lot from her. And whenever I was stuck or needed better understanding of the material, she would explain it so I could finish my work. Easy to learn as long as I come to class. Refresh memory on math. The work was always explained very well. If we had questions she would always try to help us resolve it. This course was one of my favorite business classes during any semester since attending HCC. The homework and tests definitely tested the knowledge we obtained through Ms. DeMarco's teaching. Learning the material took some thought to how to figure out the problems, but over all it was an experience. Organized and realistic. I liked that we did our work and tests on the computer and had immediate results so we could work on what we needed to work on on our own time. i like that we had it online I enjoyed learning all of the different types of math things that i will need to know how to do, these math things are related to my major and hopefully my career that i am shooting for in the real world. Learned a lot! I feel more confident now in math after this course.

Thank you! See you next semester! None Ms. DeMarco made this course fun and it is clear that she values the success of her students. I enjoyed the way she taught and went over every question asked of her. She is definitely one of my favorite teachers. :) I have learned and that's the main point of going to college and I thank Mrs. DeMarco for helping me learn the material. She is a great instructor. Great teacher, really belped me with math! I am really glad that Mrs. DeMarco was my teacher. She gives a detailed syllabus in the beginning of the semester and it really helps to keep me on schedule with what we will be learning the next class and for the rest of the semester.

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

Mrs. DeMarco was clear on instructions and her demonstration on how to do the work. Although the assignments were at times challenging, they tested my knowledge of the course. It helped me to see if I really understood what I was learning. Found the Cogg-Hill practice set to be very useful and helped with understanding all we learn, to be able to do everything we learned. The course was very challenging for me as I had taken ACC 20 in 2007. Although, it was not as easy as I remember ACC 20 to be, Mrs. DeMarco was very encouraging and that motivated me to continue through the course. The online homework and take home quizzes gave me the opportunity to really learn the material. The class lectures were very fast-paced, but appropriate for the amount of information that needed to be covered. I liked them all, it was vary effective. I loved the cogg hill practice set:)

I will recommend her to others! I can't wait to have her again in my next semester! It was very nice and helpful to have tutors available in the classroom. love your class. also like all the examples put on the board, helps with homework etc. Mrs. DeMarco was a great support for me. She was always willing and ready to assist with my questions. Not being an accounting major, I felt that struggled a bit through the course, but it was a great experience and I was able to learn so much in such a short period of time. Ms. DeMarco has, once again, proven that sheʻs an excellent instructor... making accounting enjoyable and yet challenging to learn! I always enjoy her classes and style of teaching!

I love all the sample tax returns we had to do. It really helped me to understand most of what was being explained in the textbook and it was fun preparing them and pretending they were actual clients in real life situations. Assignments were challenging and it helped me to better understand why things are being done. I liked that we needed to do these projects. The teacher was great and very knowledgeable. From what I learned in class I was confident to do my own taxes. The extensive amount of information I did not know about taxes. Confidence in getting them completed. Mrs. DeMarco was very helpful with all my questions and concerns that I had. Thank you Mrs. D:) The due dates for the assignments were crazy because the assignment was issued sometimes late or on the due date which gave me no time to complete them on time. The Action steps is what got me slowing down on my work, just doing a planning how u going approach, and u want your business to have that support in money, and employees. Learned alot! I liked having overviews of each chapter provided prior to the chapter reading and problems being assigned. In the online class, this written information provided by Ms. DeMarco helped me understand the chapter material as well as attending a lecture.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

I think there should be like a tutorial for the TaxAct program to cover where we input the information. It was kind of fuzzy in the beginning but after preparing a few returns you get the hang of where to put things. No improvement doing a great job! Nope. None whats so ever give more time for homework assignments or give them out a week ahead of time No not at all just more time.

Words can't say how I value this instructor. She was such a guiding star in my pursuit to get my accounting degree. I really enjoy going to class. Mrs. DeMarco is an excellent teacher and easy to approach and always willing to help when needed. Mrs. D is AWESOME. Love all her classes. All of the activities were a reminder of what I learned for the past 2 years. It was good to recall how to do things and yet learn some things that I had not encountered. They were challenging and great fun! I like the way Mrs. DeMarco is willing to help everyone with whatever problem they are having for homework and projects. She is very understanding. Mrs. Demarco is one of the very best teachers that i have ever had she really wants you to understand what you are learning SUA Practice Set. Presentation. Quickbooks work. This class was very interesting, assignments were very thorough and informative. It was fun and yet stressing, time frame is to short.

None I would suggest that for the final project instead of just interviewing a company and writing a report on it that student be required to volunteer or intern at a company for hands-on experience then report on that. Nope.

What can I say? This instructor surpasses my expectations. Through the course of my education then now the last of my accounting classes, she may be tough but that's the only way to learn. I liked everything. I can say I am way more knowledgeable about accounting now and confident to do balances much more correctly. I liked the homework assignments how I could do them on line and it allowed me to correct my work once before submitting to get graded. I thought this was a great tool. I really liked the hands on works sheets in class for testing and I did wish we could have done more of those in class. The teacher was always well prepared. She knew all the the information and also answered all the students questions with ease. I liked the homework and the Mini Practice set. If i needed any help i could always ask Mrs. Demarco or there would always be a tutor in class to ask. I enjoyed the overall material of this class. Assignments were relevant to the course/chapters being learned. The practice set was both fun and challenging! :)

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

No- You are doing great. I would sugguest having more writing worksheets in class I think personally that is how I was able to learn better. The online program has the boxes in the right place already lit up. You don't have to know if the amounts are entered on the left side or the right side. This makes it harder to do the tests, since you really don't have to know the information when you do the tests online. None that i can think of. The course itself was very well put together, however I found it a little difficult at times to switch between the McGraw Hill Connect site for homework to paper based exams.

Thank you Ms DeMarco for all your time and effort you put in this class and in myself. I will probably see you next semester for another class. Thanks again for my letter of recommendation also. That i learned how to handle money and accounts. Materials presented brought a deeper understanding of business, how it operates, and why in our country and internationally. I liked doing the homework lessons (assignments) online. You have the option to submit it or work the problems till you get it correct. I liked that she went over some problems that we were gonna see in our homework assignments and taught us how to execute them properly. Also, I like how she went at a pace that was good for everyone.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

Since there is so much homework that is time consuming, there should be more one on one help to understand the material better. The textbook and the quizzes seem to have been written by two different people. The quiz questions often focus on items barely touched in the chapter materials. No. Nope, it was great. The tests had no direct examples in the book. Questions were asked that needed to be analyzed using concepts we learned in the chapter. But the questions could have been written by a lawyer because the use of language was very confusing. (double-negatives throw me off)

I count myself as very lucky to have taken this class with Marla DeMarco as the instructor. She consistently applies the subjects in the text into real-life situations. Great teacher! I absolutely hate Cengage Brain. It takes too long, and does nothing. It was unworkable on my laptop, and it crashed my system many times. It asks you a question, then asks you if know the answer, then it re-asks the question, and the answers available are unreadable. You have to write your answers on a separate sheet of paper and reenter them for every question. It is frustrating and very off putting. I always enjoy having Mrs. DeMarco as my professor. I thought that she was a very disagreeable professor who was unwilling to listen to anyone during class who had a question as it might interrupt her precise schedule. She went at a much too fast pace for the students in the class to understand what she was teaching. I would never take another one of her classes encouraging words about the way I write I wish I was in class more often but was really side tracted by my cancer situation mentally and physically. Since tax law are established by politicians, not accountants, there is a significant lack of logic. Marla DeMarco has a way of presenting confusing material clearly and in such a way as to make it memorable. She has thorough knowledge of the material through her own practical experience in tax accounting. She is an excellent instuctor. What I liked about this course was how Mrs. DeMarco created her own tax returns, that were examples of real life situations, for us to complete. I know nothing about taxes and this class mad it very clear! The volunteer work was good experience. As for this course i liked it, but I'll probably never become an income tax preparer. At least i got to understand taxes a little better. Although this course was difficult for me, Mrs DeMarco was always available with assistance. My only regret, I should of asked for help more often. The subject is very difficult with laws always changing.

No. After the student's tax returns are processed and graded. She should go over the tax return in detail, so we know exactly were we did wrong. I feel that this course is fantastic just the way it is. nothing! great class no need None

I really enjoyed putting my portfolio together for this class. I've never had anything like that before. Today, I have a portfolio that has everything I need to submit with my job applications or present to employers. I've also heard that this class will not be offered anymore. That's a bummer. I learned alot from this course. :( What I enjoyed about this course was how every assignment I completed I could use in my own life. i thought the community service was helpful. it gave me a hands on experience. I really got a lot out this class, especially the volunteer part of this course and I am so glad i chose this course during this semester. Mrs. D is top-notch. I really enjoyed the course, it was fun. alot of homework.

I loved how Mrs. DeMarco taught this class. She made it very interesting. I liked how organized and methodical Marla's technique was for presenting these normally difficult to learn concepts. The book was excellent and clear and the assignments were appropriately challenging. It was hard but I got it.. Previously failing an accounting course, I was nervous about taking another class. However, Mrs. Demarco had made the course easy to understand, and was easily approachable when I needed help or had questions. that she gives us a syllabus that tells me when the work is due. so we can just do the work. for ex. when i know there's gonnna be a project or something i can just finish the homework and not worry about it. that way i have more free time to do my project. homework was very helpful!

I thought this was a good class to take, and I did learn from this. Mrs. Demarco does a good job at teaching this class, and she is very well organized, prepared, and there was never a time she made me feel that she didn't know what she was lecturing to us about. The only negative thing I can say about this class, besides she did tell us that it is a fast pacing class. I did feel at times overwhelmed, especially towards the end, because I felt I didn't absorbed the information as well as I would like to have. Overall, Great Job! Mrs. DeMarco. I would recommend you to any student who goes into accounting. Although it was very time consuming I did enjoy doing the practice set. It helped me to comprehend the course material much more. DeMarco is a very EXCELLENT INSTRUCTOR!! She explains everyting to the tee, she makes you understand and makes sure you comprehend what she is talking about. I wish all my instructors was like her!! I liked the take home tests, they reduced test taking anxiety I liked that the expectations were clear, Mrs. DeMarco was consistent in her methods and the course followed an easily understandable pattern

I'm not sure but it was a really quick paced class. Nothing, she does it excellent. None. Mrs. DeMarco is an excellent teacher. She explains things very well so that everyone can understand her. She is very helpful with any problems I come across.

I learned so much from the voluneteer project assigned. I felt so good to give where there is a need. The personal portfolio assignment is so helpful, I'll be able to use it in the futute. This course was an intresting experience, i enjoyed doing hands on accounting work, and i like how it summarized the first half of the accounting classes. Doing depreciation as a topic, because you just don't really learn to much on those type of things.

The manner in which the instructor presented the information was excellent. Honestly this isnt my favorite subject to begin with. I had a very hard time in this class. In the beginning I was doing great with homework, then I kind of fell behind. So I cant really say I enjoyed this class, only because of my personal dislike of the subject. the tex book explaned how to do the work very well i really enjoyed this class it motivated me to possibly becoming a accounting major. Every thing was great, how she tough the class and what I learned with her helped me understand every thing I need to know about accounitng. Mrs. DeMarco did quite a few assignments with the class and that was very helpful. Homework, help made the quizes easier I like that I learn a lot of things in this course and that it is useful in what I am planning to do in the future. This course has helped me a lot not with just the homework, but with all the lectures and the examples Mrs. DeMarco does. I am happy that I took this course because now I know how to do accounting and it will help a lot in the future. Everything was planned out & on schedule. Mrs. DeMarco uses a variety of techniques to prepare students for their test. The ways she presents information helps a student to understand "why" procedures are done so students can begin to hard wire this information in. The practice set is a tough assignment but emcompasses everything Mrs. DeMarco has been teaching students during the semester and the set will be a good study tool during the break to prep for next semester. I liked the activites and assignments. They were fun to do. i liked when ms. demarco would bring in worksheets for us to do together. those are the times that i would understand the material the most.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

Nothing. The think I noticed was the test were slightly different from the work given. I think it may have just been the wording. Thats what made things hard for me to take the test. Maybe if the tests would be closer related to the in class material would be great. we moved through the course from chapter to chapter to quickly just as i was able to get the suject we began a new one...class should be longer at least 2HR none None Needs more time. none None. maybe to make sure that everyone understood before moving on. do more work together instead of just lecturing.

Marla DeMarco is an excellent teacher. She presents the material in a clear, concise manner. We look forward to attending her classes. mrs. DeMarco is a great instructor!! I like Mrs. DeMarco's teaching style. She gave examples that parallel with the homework assignment questions and throughly prpares students for each test. I liked the way she teaches all of her classes. She explains everything so that we understand it better than what the book showed us. I love math so I loved this class. She helped with understanding everything clearly and made it so that I was able to do my work without any trouble. That it was only the EVENS! And no final!!! Reduced my stress level and white hair count for the semester! She made it easy for me to retain the information.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

I would like to suggest that, if we could have gotten our homework back, prior to taking the test. I feel this would have helped the students to see what their errors were in their homework and could do a better job on the test. None. N/A I did not like the 5% deduction on assignments. If you do the work and do it correct, you should be fully credited for it. I understand that in a job, you can be calling in sick or missing work. I am sure this is her reasoning. Anyhow, Mrs Demarco is an excellent teacher. She goes over and beyond helping the students grasp difficult concepts. She cares about the students and the learning. She knows her stuff too! Good job!

Overall, Mrs. DeMarco does a great job in teaching. I struggle with math and appreciate Mrs. DeMarcho's approach to teaching math. She knows her topic well and provides clear examples and explanations. She is a wonderful instructure. N/A It was fun and the applications are practical in everyday life Having a take home test was great! I was able to sort out all my logical thinking and orginize the many calculations dealing with mathematics. For the cheaters out there.....they can only cheat themselves out of knowledge!

There is nothing to improve. This class is taught well. There is nothing to change. It didn't need any improvements. I would not change nothing. Everything in this class pushes you to do better and concentrate. Eliminate the cogg hill practice set; the material itself is alot to learn. i thought that the text book was not well explained in certain areas. Open text book or open notes could have been a bit more helpful in this course. Nothing, I thought Ms. Demarco taught this course very well.

Marla DeMarco has good teaching methods. She explains well. Ms. Demarco is very knowledgeable and her teaching lectures are truly helpful. Mrs. DeMarco is a very good teacher. She is very thorough with her work and answers questions very quickly. She is fair and understanding! Overall Mrs. DeMarco is an excellent teacher. She is the absolute BEST!!! I think her teaching methods are excellent, I love the way she goes step by step through problems so we as students can clearly understand. I like her teaching methods. She always taught us well and prepared us well for upcoming tests.

Yes,she has. She contributed all the knowledge I know. General knowledge no not really but she made me stronger in the skills that I have already obtained. I've learned many skills that will be a great help to me in the future.

I feel that Mrs. DeMarco, is perfect for the job! her teaching methods are right on the money. I really hope to see her teaching more accounting classes in the near future. Would talk more on structure of the equations used in tax and go over others more than others.. I would explain the confusing things more clearly and make sure everyone got the point. It seems like if you don't get one point, then it is really hard to understand the rest. Also, I would explain what information goes where in the Tax Act program. nothing Maybe have more practice on chapter problems. Some concepts can be difficult.

Some of the things were really confusing and hard to understand. Marla DeMarco is very knowledgable in this subject matter. She was able to answer questions quickly and to a point that I could understand. Mrs. DeMarco is the perfect instructor...she is always prepared and willing to help you even on the weekends through email. She always responds immediately to her emails. I firmly believe that Mrs. DeMarco is a teacher of the highest caliber, and she is by far my favorite teacher. great! I felt she was a great teacher. She supplied us with overviews of the chapters and answered any questions we have on the chapter concepts.

21. Has he/she contributed to your general knowledge or to learning job skills?

Tes, very much so. Very much so Definitely Yes! Yes. I plan to get a degree in accounting so I will be able to help others do taxes. This course showed me that there is a lot to learn about this topic. Yet I did learn a great deal and hope to push myself further with this goal.

Mrs. DeMarco's teaching method is the very best. It's the best this college has to offer, and generally speaking. She is also very compassionate and fair. A+ Mrs. DeMarco is an outstanding teacher. She is always well prepared and always encourages her students to press on, no matter how hard the subject matter is or what the student may be going through emotionally at that time. Her teaching methods are good

yes yes! Yes, she has. This was a class where we had to go out and volunteer at a non-profit organization. It was a great experience and Mrs. DeMarco was always there to encourage me. I am legally deaf so it was not very easy for me to just go out and work, but through her encouragement I made it. She improved my knowledge in accounting

Nothing. Mrs. DeMarco is a great instructor and very well teacher. a. nothing more, I beleive that the course was well-planned and structured in a way that was easy to understand. b. same. Nothing.. I wouldn't change anything about this course it is fine the way it is I really don't have anything to better improve the class, or would like to change. The only thing I felt was disturbing that distracted me at times would be the other students in the class, that wasn't taking that course at the time. It is hard to concentrate, when you have other people talking.

20. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?

Good. Fair. I think that her teaching Method is greatly done! awesome teaching method, not confusing at all. Marlo DeMarco is an excellent teacher. Her techniques make you interested in the class but I think that more class exercises would have benefited the students more. I think that Mrs. DeMarco did a great job. I really enjoyed mrs.Demarco this semester she is really paitent and understanding and is always there to help, with homework or any other assignment she likes to go over things if we still need help and she takes the time to make sure we understand the lessons It was very helpful for me to, attend class to understand the text and material more easily. I feel she helped me to get understand better. Overall, I think Mrs. Demarco did a good job at teaching this course. I believe through her teaching, she made me understand the course and that is why I believe I am doing well in her class.

Yes. yes. yes. Definetly Yes, Mrs. DeMarco has contributed to both my general knowledge and learning of job skills. I've learned a lot. I really enjoyed this class so much that i decided to major in accounting after searching for a major for the past year Yes, she did. I hesitated at first about taking this class. I wasn't comfortable taking this course in the beginning.

Thank you, for having me in your class. I think that Mrs. DeMarco is a wonderful teacher and she has a lot of knowledge to this course. Great teacher, I would highly recommend this instructor to anyone in the accounting field. There would be no improving. This class was taught extremely well. I wouldn't change a thing, as Mrs. DeMarco is a very effective teacher. Nothing, Mrs. DeMarco does a perfect, A++ grade job. Workload, good; lectures, great; teacher available for answering questions, perfect. If I could, I would extend the class to learn more from her. There was too much going on such as the GE taxes then the Payroll & finally the hawaii payroll taxes and forms. It should be focusing on one thing. Just a little more time on reviewing for any kind of quiz or exam. Nothing Spend more time going over the project

20. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?

I love Mrs. DeMarco. She is always fair and listens and responds to each individuals needs. In all aspects of teaching, Mrs. DeMarco is excellent. Mrs. DeMarco is the best tax teacher I've ever had. She knows exactly how to break down complicated ideas and present them in a logical way, which makes it easier to remember. She is very patient and realistic when it comes to all students and their work. She has made an extremely effective schedule of what we do and how we do it. Again, it goes back to the way she breaks down a huge subject. She knows how to filter all the important info instead of feeding us needless junk. I LOVE that she goes through each chapter with the class and walks us through difficult tax readings. It makes it soooooo much easier for me. She also cares enough to print us out useful handbooks as outside info, which she really doesn't have to do. Oh, and I like the open book tests! There's no way anyone could possibly memorize all that information! Plus, in real life,when you do taxes you normally have booklets and such available. Overall, she really makes sense. It was fine teaching though it was confusing at times with all the terms so I personally forgot what some terms meant & got confused. Very GOOD! =) she's a great teacher I think she is the best teacher. She is always very helpful and encouraging. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definately. Yes, very much so. YES! I don't know what I would have done without her teaching. She has taught me so much vital information for my jobs it's incredible.Her calm and humorous demeanor sets a positive example to follow. Yes the actual payroll project had broadened my knowledge although it was way too long in such a short time. Yes, this course has given me a knowledge and understanding in what the course was about. I will be able to use this skill in my job search. Yes=) yes

I can't imagine anyone teaching this class as well as Mrs. DeMarco. She is the perfect teacher for it! We, Mrs. DeMarco's students, are very fortunate to have an experienced CPA as our teacher. In addition to knowing accounting inside and out, she also has impressive teaching skills. She conveys the coursework clearly and concisely, and takes the extra time if necessary to make sure everyone understands the material. Don't let this one get away, she is by far one of the best teachers at HCC! It is amazing that she NEVER seems to get exhausted from explaining tax laws and procedures for hours at a time. The class was interesting and showed me a lot. Mrs. DeMarco is a great teacher! I would be blessed if for the rest of my schoolling, all my teachers were like her. She makes me want to learn more. BEST TEACHER!!!!!!! Explains very well and is always willing to help you if you are struggling.

I would incorporate blackboard instruction to match the text book structure exactly. Reason being, the student will be able to connect better with the instruction material. I would incorporate a transparent overlay so the vertical format of journals, ledgers, and some financial statements can be conceived easier by students. I would not illustrate any accounting instruction without facilitating ever aspect, i.e. dotting the â??iâ??s and crossing the â??tâ??s;the mechanisms which seem mundane and assumable to the instructor are still critical for students completely new to the accounting practice. I also would have homework due and graded prior to testing any unit. This gives another mechanism for the student to capture the concept correctly, thereby, improving test scores. Nothing I wouldn't change a thing.

This has nothing to do with the instructor: I would like to cover every chapter of the textbook. There should be a class like BUSN189B or something that allows students to learn more into detail about all the mathematical aspects of accounting. Nothing!!!

Absolutely! I like her teaching style. She just has a way of explaining the material in way that makes it easier to comprehend. She is an absolute KEEPER... Love the way she breaks it all down so that we all could understand the material that we were learning... Thank a bunch Mrs. DeMarco:):):)

I would give more examples and during lecture write more on the board, because there are some people that have a hard time taking notes and just lecturing and hardly writing anything on the board makes it harder for the student. If the student is trying to get the notes down and not finish they might miss imporant information while your talking and they are still trying to write the priouius topic down. I would go trough the chapters a little more slowly and discuss the chapter into more detail. I think this course was really well taught. I wouldn't change anything. I just wish there was more time to learn everything about taxes. But that would be impossible. N/A I would improve this course by doing more tax returns and maybe doing some of the tax return problems on the computer using the taxact program. And spending a little more time on chapter 6 because it was a difficult chapter to understand with all of the rules.

I think she did very well and help out students when they needed to my only concerned about her teaching was that She went over the chapters in her lecture way to fast not enough time for a student to get all the approite notes. and i think it would help more if she wrote more on the board then speaking. It will help the student get a better understanding. I really liked the way Mrs. DeMarco teaches. She is clearly understood and helps us when we need it. If we don't completely understand the lesson one way, she will explain it another way until we get it. Very knowledgable and enthusiastic. I think the teachers teaching methods are good because she covers almost everything on the chapters we are going over.

Everything thing that she did was excellent! nothing... its excellent how it is I would use a teacher that knows more of the subjest course I would do daily in-class exercises to help everybody stay fresh on the subject. Everything else being taught is okay and doesn't need much improvement. Nothing I would not change a thing. nothing I believe the course is good as it is because there are hands on activities we did to help learn better. A. instead of using powerpoint i would have just done it how they do in high school. much easier to follow along with the students. Because this is an online class I would make my office hours more convenient and I didnt like the fact that our homework was due on the day of the chapter test. I think it should be due and graded before the test so we know how we did and if we were doing it right or not. I also diidnt like how we had only one specific day to complete the test, because my schedule was very hectic and trying to put in time to complete the test by the end of the day was very difficult. I would do nothing to improve this class. I think that this instructor did everything well. I have no complaints. Sometimes when I needed help on the course material before taking the exam, I would e-mail my teacher for help because I took the course onlinee. The instructor usually didnt write back to me in a timely manner. Nothing its perfect I wouldnt really improve anything or change anything Change the Laulima format.

20. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?

She is very kind and caring about her students. She is always very helpful, and will explain anything until you understand it. Her tests are very fair and repeat what we learned in the chapter to the T. her teaching methods were fine It seemed like she really didn't know that subject to well cause she always refered to noted. Ms. Demarco is a very good teacher. I like the way she teaches. She is very straight to the point. i'm glad she was my first instuctor for accounting. I decided to take more accounting classes and hope that i can have her again for Acct. 124. The teacher was great. It's helpful that her experience has been able to let her explain problems better especially difficult concepts to understand. This instructor is very understandable for me and she gives alot of examples and she is very good at explaining information step by step. I think the teacher is great. She helped me in class and via e-mail. She replied to an e-mail in a timely manner. She explains and lectures each chapter well. I have enjoyed this course more than I anticipated. Believe the concise presentations and humor of the instructed was a great asset. Students had a varying degree of knowledge,always taking care of students how needed the extra guideance in class. I enjoyed her teaching methods she made sure I was keeping up and understanding the course. her methods of teaching thr class was okay but i would lose the computers in the classroom because it was very hard to concentrate on the lessons. i know its a hybrid class but, it was hard to focus. Again because this is an online class, its hard to answer this question. Her notes for each chapter was very understandable and helpful and her feedback was excellent. I think that she has very good methods as to what she can do for her online students. Although it was an online class, i feel that she helped out students very well. I can say that this was the best online class/teacher that i have had. My past online class/teacher experience was not very good. For the online course, she could have helped us a little more by giving examples of the work. great, she gives you a timeline and a due date for every chapter She knew a lot about accounting and answered whatever questions I had. Teaching methods are very good, thorough, and understandable for us to figure out in the book. Methods allows us to ask any questions we may have if a question should arise at any point during the class.

Yes, for sure. I didn't know anything about accounting before I took this course, and now i totally understand it. yes none yes, she did. Yes. Generally I understand more of the financial world and feel ready to move on to higher levels. Yes, she has contributed to my knowledge and I now know all of the things that I don't know about accounting. Yes, she has. Yes Very much so. Yes she has. Yes! Definitely. Although accounting is not my favorite, i really did enjoy this class and learned a lot. Not really, I just read the book. nah pretty hands on afterall its just an online course but a good one YES Yes, allow me to understand the overall meaning of the many accounting terms, charts, and sheets that are needed the outside the economy today.

She was a great teacher, i would love to have her again! This class was okay but not as good as I thought it would be. No Would like to know in advance if Ms. Del Marco is teaching other accounting classes, would defintely sign up for any classes she would be teaching. I enjoyed learning in this class

I wouldn't change anything. I liked the way the course was taught. I wouldn't change anything. I liked the course how it is. I would just spend a little more time explaining some of the subject matter. At the beginning it was a little confusing for me because we had to look up things on the internet. I really do enjoy the class now There were no college material for the first portion of the class, it was taken straight from the internet. Before offering the class make sure that the college have material.

I like it a lot. She explains not too much but the information given is very helpful. I enjoyed her teaching methods. It was easy to follow and understand. She knew what she was doing and she taught well. The teacher is very well organized. She takes the time to help the students. Although we do not do much activities where students participate in activities, because of the way the teacher presents the work the students are more comfortable in helping one another. There is a lot of interaction between the students because the instructor knows her subject matter well and is able to teach it well. She is a very calm teacher not like another instructor that I have who is very hyper and confuses her students. She was okay!!!!

21. Has he/she contributed to your general knowledge or to learning job skills?

She has motivated me in to wanting to become a payroll accountant. yes Yes she has. I learned a great deal of to do payroll. This will come in handy in the future. Yes, she definitely has. I am really enjoying working with the payroll project in the text book. Yes, I've learned a lot from this payroll class that I did not know before or much about payroll. Yes she has.

I enjoyed your class and will definitely take more classes from you. I like your teaching skills. I was thinking of dropping her class for awhile, I am so glad that I stuck with it. I really feel that I have learned from her. She really encourages her students and works with us when we don't understand things.
