| I enjoy doing payroll worksheets. The payroll project provide an enhancement to what the payroll taxes is all about. I learn how to do payroll exercises using the spreadsheets and the software. |

| Although the assignments were at times challenging, they tested my knowledge of the course. It helped me to see if I really understood what I was learning. |
| Found the Cogg-Hill practice set to be very useful and helped with understanding all we learn, to be able to do everything we learned. |
| The course was very challenging for me as I had taken ACC 20 in 2007. Although, it was not as easy as I remember ACC 20 to be, Mrs. DeMarco was very encouraging and that motivated me to continue through the course. The online homework and take home quizzes gave me the opportunity to really learn the material. The class lectures were very fast-paced, but appropriate for the amount of information that needed to be covered. |

| I liked the homework assignments how I could do them on line and it allowed me to correct my work once before submitting to get graded. I thought this was a great tool. I really liked the hands on works sheets in class for testing and I did wish we could have done more of those in class. |

| I absolutely hate Cengage Brain. It takes too long, and does nothing. It was unworkable on my laptop, and it crashed my system many times. It asks you a question, then asks you if know the answer, then it re-asks the question, and the answers available are unreadable. You have to write your answers on a separate sheet of paper and reenter them for every question. It is frustrating and very off putting. |

| Since tax law are established by politicians, not accountants, there is a significant lack of logic. Marla DeMarco has a way of presenting confusing material clearly and in such a way as to make it memorable. She has thorough knowledge of the material through her own practical experience in tax accounting. She is an excellent instuctor. |
| What I liked about this course was how Mrs. DeMarco created her own tax returns, that were examples of real life situations, for us to complete. |

| I thought this was a good class to take, and I did learn from this. Mrs. Demarco does a good job at teaching this class, and she is very well organized, prepared, and there was never a time she made me feel that she didn't know what she was lecturing to us about. The only negative thing I can say about this class, besides she did tell us that it is a fast pacing class. I did feel at times overwhelmed, especially towards the end, because I felt I didn't absorbed the information as well as I would like to have.
Overall, Great Job! Mrs. DeMarco. I would recommend you to any student who goes into accounting. |

The ways she presents information helps a student to understand "why" procedures are done so students can begin to hard wire this information in. The practice set is a tough assignment but emcompasses everything Mrs. DeMarco has been teaching students during the semester and the set will be a good study tool during the break to prep for next semester. |

| I like Mrs. DeMarco's teaching style. She gave examples that parallel with the homework assignment questions and throughly prpares students for each test. |

| I did not like the 5% deduction on assignments. If you do the work and do it correct, you should be fully credited for it. I understand that in a job, you can be calling in sick or missing work. I am sure this is her reasoning. Anyhow, Mrs Demarco is an excellent teacher. She goes over and beyond helping the students grasp difficult concepts. She cares about the students and the learning. She knows her stuff too! Good job! |

| Yes, she has. This was a class where we had to go out and volunteer at a non-profit organization. It was a great experience and Mrs. DeMarco was always there to encourage me. I am legally deaf so it was not very easy for me to just go out and work, but through her encouragement I made it. |

| In all aspects of teaching, Mrs. DeMarco is excellent. |
| Mrs. DeMarco is the best tax teacher I've ever had. She knows exactly how to break down complicated ideas and present them in a logical way, which makes it easier to remember. She is very patient and realistic when it comes to all students and their work. She has made an extremely effective schedule of what we do and how we do it. Again, it goes back to the way she breaks down a huge subject. She knows how to filter all the important info instead of feeding us needless junk. I LOVE that she goes through each chapter with the class and walks us through difficult tax readings. It makes it soooooo much easier for me. She also cares enough to print us out useful handbooks as outside info, which she really doesn't have to do. Oh, and I like the open book tests! There's no way anyone could possibly memorize all that information! Plus, in real life,when you do taxes you normally have booklets and such available. Overall, she really makes sense. |

She conveys the coursework clearly and concisely, and takes the extra time if necessary to make sure everyone understands the material. | I would incorporate blackboard instruction to match the text book structure exactly. Reason being, the student will be able to connect better with the instruction material. I would incorporate a transparent overlay so the vertical format of journals, ledgers, and some financial statements can be conceived easier by students.
I would not illustrate any accounting instruction without facilitating ever aspect, i.e. dotting the â??iâ??s and crossing the â??tâ??s;the mechanisms which seem mundane and assumable to the instructor are still critical for students completely new to the accounting practice.
I also would have homework due and graded prior to testing any unit. This gives another mechanism for the student to capture the concept correctly, thereby, improving test scores. |

| I would give more examples and during lecture write more on the board, because there are some people that have a hard time taking notes and just lecturing and hardly writing anything on the board makes it harder for the student. If the student is trying to get the notes down and not finish they might miss imporant information while your talking and they are still trying to write the priouius topic down. I would go trough the chapters a little more slowly and discuss the chapter into more detail. |

| The teacher is very well organized. She takes the time to help the students. Although we do not do much activities where students participate in activities, because of the way the teacher presents the work the students are more comfortable in helping one another. There is a lot of interaction between the students because the instructor knows her subject matter well and is able to teach it well.
She is a very calm teacher not like another instructor that I have who is very hyper and confuses her students. |
