Having class discussions and individual presentation to help further analyze the pieces we studied

I like that I can see Chinese literature through many different perspectives in this class.

To get a concept of contemporary Chinese literature.

13. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?

By giving us a criteria for the final paper and some more reading and movies that relate to eachtother so we have an easier time comparing and contrasting as well building ideas on the topic at hand.

He could provide a little more information on some of the stories and authors.

Maybe save some time for students to discuss their own thoughts and ideals. I think showing movies is actually the most interesting part of this course although unfortunately it caused some trouble. I heart that there will be no movies for this course which is really a lost for the future students. Most of the movies for this class are pretty good.

14. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?

He explained many of the hidden chinese symbolism that many american students couldn't catch.

He is always available when we need help.

15. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....

Professor Jiang is a good teacher and best of luck to him!

that he knows the material extremely well, but maybe he can explain it in a more understandable way.

Thanks for the hard work, it was an interesting class.

i felt that some of the reading material was good. the movies i think helped to link with the course of visual arts.

i think there needs to be guidelines that are clearly written out so the students know how the course will be. it was very confusing at times.
