5. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?

| Professor Romero was very knowledgeable and approachable if we had any questions. He connected the over arching themes of the course to all of the world regions we studied. Although I already knew some of the themes before I took this class, he helped me apply them to world regions that I never knew much about. I appreciated his use of documentaries and other activities to discuss the material rather than just lecturing us for hours. |

| The engagement on behalf of the instructor kept the course stimulating during sections of the text that could easily have been rather droll. I never felt bored or sleepy, which is saying a lot for a night course. It was evident that Mr. Romero was interested in seeing us tackle intellectually challenging geopolitical issues, and he made it pleasant to participate in class discussion. |
| Knowing the current standing of the world around us on a political, econmic and social level is important in todays globalizing world. This course opened my eyes to many truths I was unware of, aiding me in being better prepared for my future. |

6. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?

| I didn't like the online quiz questions. Some of them did not correspond to the material in the textbook, and regardless of how many times I took it my score never improved (although I am sure I was selecting the correct answers based on the text). |
| The group presentations. Group presentations are just excuses for the teacher to be lazy, and one
person ends up doing all the work |
| I often thought that the scheduling of due dates for assignments and online quizzes was not optimal. It felt like I was rushing to get the assignments in and had too much time to complete the quizzes. Overall, coursework felt imbalanced with some sections being very content heavy and others a little too light. |
