15. What did you like least about your online course experience?
Group work was not very good. Some students got credit for not doing work while others did the work.
It was unexpected to do group work with fellow students. I didn't expect to meet anybody for this online class. If I was not lucky enough to get a good group, then I probably would have hated this class.
The amount of time needed to spend not online
Nothing.
The Person program worked very glichy and in some cases not at all when communicating with the company I was unanswered and I feel there was plenty of time to respond. This made it harder to get projects done. And in many cases I didn't get The online collabourate was quite good at relayihg messages and communication not only with the teammates their and relay messages to those who were not there.
Working as a team when everyone doesnt carry their own weight
The Naluhou Experience, mainly because we were working in groups and it was difficult to manage time.
16. What did you like most about your online course experience?
Learning
Although the group work was unexpected. It gave us valuable experience when working with Microsoft Applications
Through this course I learned a lot about ethics and office programs concepts that I now recognize and use.
The entire class set up. There was a mixture of group and individual work. The assigned assessments related to the material learned.
COlaborating with my classmates & instructor was reall really helpful in my growing stage.
Communication with instructor and the web page portion of the class
I liked that we could learn at our own pace on myitlab. I also enjoyed the guest speakers and think that they are good to include.

She was very helpful with office visits.
She was always reachable, with office hours and meetings online
She was always available for help and quick to answer emails. She was very understanding and easy to talk to.
Leanne was very encouraging. She communicated quickly and was always available for help. Leanne provided many resources to help us understand the different apps and programs we were working with.
Her imput was quite (most) valuable in this course.
Communication
Leanne Chun was very helpful online and in person. She would always clarify things for me whenever I approached her with a problem.

willing to chat when i have problems.
Mrs. Chun was most helpful during our group projects, she clarified what need to be done and acted as a referee when we had group disagreements.
The scenario was a very creative aspect of an online class that I have never encountered before.
The Naluhou Project because even though it wasan online class we had to work in groups like a real job.
The time she makes available to the students no matter what the situation was.
She was always available for help and questions. She also responded promptly to emails. She always had what needed to be done outlined every week.
Very nice, very accessible.
teamwork and deadlines
Her desire to teach. She is knowledgable and courtious to the students.
The way that she designed the course so that it was reflective of situation that we will encounter in the real world. She also gave timely feedback as well as posted grades quickly.

myitlab was helpfully
I liked the fact that I could do my assignments at my own pace.
I enjoyed working on a project with a group of people.
Learned a lot and her assignments were straightforward. She told us whats due and all we just did the work.
That there was only one assignment per week and it was always due on the same day at the same time.

19. What did you like least about your online course experience?
I disliked having to deal with group projects and having added stress when I just wanted to learn the program.
Due to the fact that the class was online, I had a hard time coordinating a specific time to meet via Skype with my group.

11. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?
THe every week announcements she makes is really helpful,it keeps me updates and its a good reminder to keep track on my assignments.
She always sent out e-mails telling us what was due and if we had any questions we could e-mail her. Also she would always post our grades on time and she gave us enough time to do our work.
The great communication
The most valuable benefit was the scenario based strategy approach where we completed group assignments as a real life team of IT consultants. This allowed me to use not only content material used for software programs but to also sharpen skills of team communication strategies, apply professionalism in presentation skills and makes valid connection of content material to real life application of material.
She was able to help me communicate with my group members during the group assignments. She was understanding and helpful.
She was very kind and quick to get in touch with us. Also very flexible and knowledgeable.
She gave assignments that let us experience what the lessons learned in class will be like when applied to real world examples.
The great communication between student and instructor.
We had online chats that we were able to get feedback on our assignments. This really helped when we had the group projects so that we knew we were heading in the right direction. We also got clarification during this time if we had any questions.
She willing to sit with me and explain what was needed. She was knowledgeble and and always responded to emails in a timely manner.
I found that her way of making every student feel comfortable and was kind about assignments was pretty valuable as well as her availability to questions and problems.
12. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the instructor?
Nothing really, all the assignments are helpful.
I do not find this course or instructor, Leanne Chun to be invaluable. Contrary to this statement, the materials and strategies learned are very valuable in ways that would benefit my academic and professional future.
None.

The group work was probably the least helpful in the sense that it made it more difficult to get things done due to the need of communication and piecing together.
Working in groups was not efficient.

18. What did you like most about your online course experience?
I like how Ms leanne Chun response right away when I have questions. I also like the team project
I liked working with other people, most on-line class does not do that.
That one assignment was due every week
I liked the ability to completed assignments online via myitlab and Laulima to be conducive to my work/school schedule.
I liked that I could work at my own pace and I had more than enough time to complete the required assignments.
This course was very flexible for me and it really did not give me too many problems all semester long. It was very educational.
The ability to be able to access the assignments more accordingly to my schedule then meeting a set one.
Working at my own pace.
I learned different skills with Microsoft Office. There are so much things that I did not know I could do with it. I also learned how to make a website, which was much easier than I expected. This was also the first time I did online chats with communication that was more than typing to other members. Talking through a headset was much better than typing to my group members.
I liked the concept of us being the employee in the group setting. Leanne was our boss not our instructor. The material is very practical and I know I will use it in the future.
It was very convenient to me and my schedule.
19. What did you like least about your online course experience?
I would say the quizzess with multiple choices, I like the hands on better.
I didnt like that this particular class was only compatible with the windows system... i own a mac
I would have preferred the ability to use a mac operating system to complete assignments.
I prefer working alone and not one for group assignments. The group assignment was a good experience, but not something I enjoyed.

The group assignments.
Working in groups.
It was hard to coordinate a time for all the group members to meet to talk about the assignments.
In the beginning, it took me some time to get accustomed to where I could find the assignments. some were in the assignments tab, some were in myitlab, some links were in emails. I missed the first assignment simply because I did not know about it in time. I completed it, but i will recieve 1/2 credit. I was pretty peeved about that. Also, the myitlab assignments took several hours to complete. I was told about 6 hours were needed for this course a week, and it was more like 12-16 hrs. Very time consuming for a 100 level class.
that sometimes it the site would log off or time out on its own in the middle of a test.

the team projects.
nothing
The course is most valuable to me because I am able to utilize the skills I gained in this course in my own personal and professional life. I learned more than the basics in the use of the Microsoft Office products.
I really found the team scenario very helpful. We had to act as consultants to clients. The scenario was a good way to apply what we were learning and to gain a deeper understanding of MS Office.
it prepared me for things I can use in my everyday life preparing me for the work field and future class projects.
The Word portion of the class. I use word often and what I learned from the class helped me make my documents look more professional.
The group work although tough to get together was a valuable hands on lesson.
the My IT lab was a great asset to this course. It really gave great practice for using Microsoft Office software.
I don't know
I liked the presentation activity and will be better prepared the next time that I am asked to give a powerpoint preso.
-the topics covered in the lessons -the team project -wiley
4. What did you find least valuable and helpful about the course?
the IT lab. They are good but very scattered. The training was hard because you did not what they were trying to get. So I felt like a robot learning the steps.
myitlab was way to hard and I learned nothing from it
Groupwork! Because of the online environment, it was challenging to get everyone to meet up at a particular time and day in order to discuss assignments. This presents a challenge when you have conflicting schedules withing your group.
I don't think there was any that was unvaluable or unhelpful in this class.
The Nalu Hou portion of the class where we reasearched computer ethics. Researching about computer ethics didn't really fit in to this class.
I don't like the fact that Microsoft is the core of the course. I find it antiquated and sometimes a bit confusing.
Needing to be in groups to do the projects
nothing
There wasn't anything that I can point to that was unhelpful. If the project had been spread out over more time I think it would have been easier to coordinate schedules with classmates though.

14. How can the instructor improve the teaching of this course?
I think the curriculum could have been evenly distributed across the semester. We were working extremely hard at the beginning. Then from mid Nov, it slowed down almost 50%. It was really challenging during the first half of the semester, trying to get the team projects completed within the deadline.
get rid of myitlab
I actually think she did an excellent job in this course.
If the group projects were graded individaully I think the class would be fairer. It is not always possible to make sure everyone has there part ready by the deadline, if someone fails to do their part then the whole gruop must suffer.
I think she did a wonderful job! Nothing to improve at this time.
Since everyone is busy during the weekdays, it would've been great to have the assignments due on sundays.
everything seems to be fine
-somehow a more organized team project
15. Comment on the instructor's professional attitude and behavior.
excellent teacher with a professional attitude.
Her proffesional attitude and behavior were outstanding. She was very helpful and insightful, always willing to help, retained contact via emails if questions came up on particular projects. She provided a safe "work" environment that we would experience out in the real-world with the scenarios that she presented to us.
Leanne was very friendly and easy to talk to, but she maintained a professional conduct, so I always respected her as a teacher. She was well organized and prompt.
great attitude. Leanne really cares about her students and there outcomes in her class.
She seems very enthusiastic about her subject.
She was always professional and had a good attitude toward her class. She was always available whether by email or voice chat.
Leanne is very approachable. This was an online class, but while we were working on our project (Nalu Hou) she was gave great feedback.

Very professional and helpful.
-very knowledgeqable and approachable -reliable and willing to assist
16. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?
Openness to help. Very patient and understanding. I like her teaching approach which is more modern and creative.
She allowed students to work at their own pace in order to make sure that we understand the material. And we could move forward with the Myitlab assignments on our own. I liked that she kept track of our group progress with weekly meetings to discuss any issues or concerns.
She was very encouraging, but also gave constructive criticism. She made me feel comfortable coming to her with any questions.
she was always available and willing to help her students with any questions or concerns they had.
She was always available when I needed help, and she responded promtly.
Leanne was never flaky and always on top of things.
Her flexibility to skype adjusting to your schedule.
I don't know
When we had conference calls she offered much needed guidance to our team.
-flexibility -time management -online discussions

21. Other comments:
She's a wonderful teacher. She makes learning the material fun and interesting. This class certainly had it's challenges, but she helped us through all of them. I would recommend her to anyone who is taking ICS.
Thanks to Leanne for a great experience in this class and I'll be looking for more of her classes in future semesters.

The myitlab homeworks were very helpful.

The section on using access. I learned a lot.
Chun was always available for help and was quick and helpful with her responses. We were able to have class discussions so that we could bounce ideas off other students in the class and also receive help if needed.

myitlab. because it helped you step by step learn to use the tools
the assignments were great but myitlab was a very bad thing.
yes it was very helpful and I hope to use the skills that I have learned in this class in the future.
The teacher was extremely helpful with any problems that came up.
The myitlab, because I could experience it first hand.
Everything was very organized and the instructor Leanne Chun was very helpful and available when any student had a problem.
The instructor was very valuable in this course because she walked you through what needed to be done and was very thorough. Also, the MyITlab was very helpful in the learning process as it was a lot easier to learn hands on through the program than to have read everything and tried applying it on the side.

The only thing was in the begining when there were two different sets of due dates, one was the calendar and the other the gradebook. After that was explained, everything was good.

The course itself is fine. I don't think there needs to be any improvements.

No more podcasts, and definitely need the book, some parts of the class were really hard because of the mix up with the book.
She was very helpful and easy to talk to.
nothing needs to change =)
The instrcuctor did the best job. I think the course can be re-evaulated to focus on less subject such as Excel, Access, Internet and networking terminology, so the student can get the higher degree of the skill or knowledge.
Some of the assignments could have been worded more clearly.
be more clear with directions.

Listening to students.
It was really easy to get in contact with her and she stayed in touch through forums.

Always wrote back on a problem. I took all online classes this semester and Leanne Chun was the only teacher to write back with the complete solution to my problem in a fast and timely manner. I thank her for that.
