22. How did the instructor show concern for students?

he always watches us when working on projects for safety reasons as well as if we look like we need help or not.... Was available to students at any time. none If we don't understand some material, he takes the time to explain it in a different way for us to be able to understand it better. He always asks if we have any questions. No comment He provided me, his time, to ask questions at breaks, during his other classes (that I was not even a part of). Allows them to retake tests if they need to. He helps us when we make our pieces and goes over them again if one on one if an individual needs help. If you come in early he stays in the shop so that you can work. he asked questions helps them in every way he can

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

He makes it so that we fully understand........ lectures were helpful He was very "realistic". I learned a lot in this class. I like how we get to use open book for tests since blueprinting is all about using notes. I enjoyed this class. Mr Aiu is clear and professional when teaching class. Open book made it easy. Not open notes made it fair, because he said he does not know where the notes came from (possibly from student of prev semester.) He also allowed you to make up quizzes if you missed class, with no penalty. I liked a lot about his class and didn't have anything that I disliked. He is very hands on and helps out a lot. If you ask him to help he is always there for it. He knows the subject matter very well, you can tell that he lives it. he made sure we understood what we are doing i liked how straight forward he is how much he knows about his trade/industry

24. What else would you like to say about this instructor/course?

its a pretty fun class depending on your classmates None none He's a great teacher that explains the course well. He teaches you how to properly read a blueprint. I don't think there is a better teacher to teach this course. BLPR 22 had lots of information to learn which made it very interesting. Although he teaches Sheet Metal, he knew a lot about the construction industry different trades and how they all tie in together. He is very good overall in this course. The most knowledgable teacher of their subject that I have ever had. its interesting he knows the in's and outs of the trade and he will always tell you something you dont know

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

Yes, beacuse he is very knowlage able Yes, information were valuable Yes if they're hands-on, hard working, and determined to succeed. Everyone who needs/wants to take blueprinting class should take Mr. Aiu's class! He's the bomb! Yes. My answer above says it all. Yes, I would highly recommend Mr. Aiu to other students, even if they are not taking "trade" courses, just to learn about building methods and materials. Yes, even if you knew nothing about sheet metal coming into it as long as you pay attention you'll know how to fabricate by the end of the course. yes yes. good experience, and youre guaranteed to learn something

Helps students none If we don't understand some material, he takes the time to explain it in a different way for us to be able to understand it better. He always asks if we have any questions. he asked questions always helps when students need him he makes sure he knows whats going on with his students acidemically wise and keeps an eye out weather or not were havig hard time.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I liked the ability to fabricate more this semester none I like how he is always willing to help student with any problems we encounter. He explains what went wrong and how to fix it. he made sure we understood what we are doing i liked everything about the course no dislikes He shows us some easy ways and gets straight to the pointn and always shows the pros and cons which is pretty cool

I enjoyed the course and learned a lot. none This course taught me a lot about myself. If I put my mind to it, anything can get done. I need to put my 110% into fabricating my projects and it gets done. Mr. Aiu helped me a lot! I appreciate all the help everyone gave me! it was interesting great class, and would take it again if needed

Yes, the hands on experience is great. none I would highly recommend Danny Aiu to other students because he clearly explains material that you don't understand. yes yes. he is a great teacher. and always full of knowledge Yes, he is very good to learn from if you want to go in to sheet metal and plastics

He always asks if we have any questions. he asked questions always helps he takes his time with those who need more help than others and actually cares and make sure that he shows you how to do things properly and safe so you dont hurt your slef.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

none I enjoyed the fabrication I like how he is always willing to help student with any problems we encounter. He explains what went wrong and how to fix it. he made sure we understood what we are doing i liked everything about this class Most of the time he goes fast and im a bit on the slow side, but usually he will see if I'm strugaling and will step in or I will ask for help and he is willing to help out

none I would like to continue the advance sheet metal course with this instructor This course taught me a lot about myself. If I put my mind to it, anything can get done. I need to put my 110% into fabricating my projects and it gets done. Mr. Aiu helped me a lot! I appreciate all the help everyone gave me! it was interesting great teacher. always learned something new every day He's pretty cool as long as you turn in your work on time and come class and dosen't mess around when you shouldn't be

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

none yes, great instructor, fair I would highly recommend Danny Aiu to other students! He clearly explains material that you don't understand. Shows us some short cuts to get stuff done faster. yes yes. always challenges the way you do things hand on Yes, he has a lot to offer to students. He knows a lot about other fields as well and how everytning pretty much goes which is really intresting.

none Was helpful If we don't understand some material, he takes the time to explain it in a different way. He always asks if we have any questions. he asked questions always helps us in the new ways of drawing. and showing all the patterns that are develpoed in the new chapters He always watches us and walks around to see how everyone is doing and makes sure that we understand what we are doing and he will explain agian if you do not fully understand.

none classroom is open before class for students work on drafting I like how he is always willing to help student with any problems we encounter. He explains what went wrong and how to fix it. he made sure we understood what we are doing i liked everything about the course. always helpful and learned something new everyday Everything is pretty good its just that sometimes I felt we learned too much in one day so it was a little bit overwhelming.

none None This course taught me a lot about myself. If I put my mind to it, anything can get done. I need to put my 110% into fabricating my projects and it gets done. Mr. Aiu helped me a lot! He would walk around the class/shop and look over at how our projects/drawings are. If there are mistakes that we made, he would give constructive criticism and let us figure out how we get to the correct answer. He explains how you get a certain thing in detail so that we are able to understand. On our attendance clipboard there are notices for upcoming tests or any other concern we should know about. Allows each student to catch up if fallen behind on class work as well as shop. He constantly walks through out the classroom and or shop and critics students work. Pointing out things that can lead to mishaps in projects, and showing and giving help where and when needed. He allows us to come in before class to do/catch up on work. He also helps us out whenever we ask. He understands if we miss class for good reasons and he helps with outside projects as well. - He's always here early for class. - if you need extra time, he's here to help - always friendly and in a good mood - always able to answer a students questions He helps out when the are under stress. He makes sure everyone is following safety procedures and carefully observes all students and help them when he sees they need help or if they ask him for help. he asked questions

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

I like how Danny Aiu taught the course in general. All the projects we made pertain to what needs to fabricated in real life. Important detail we need to know is constantly repeated to drill it in our heads. All the questions that we give to Danny Aiu are answered within a reasonable amount of time and understandability. He lets us look at the bigger picture. Stays on schedule and push students to work efficiently I really liked that his class his majority hands on learning. It works really well for me because that is the way i learn best. I liked how hands on the course was. Danny is a very good teacher. - i liked the fact that this was a very hands on course - i liked the criteria, and loved the way he talked about his trade in the sheet metal industry What I like was the hands on learning and explains to them what went wrong.. He explained clearly and was easy to understand i liked that he showed us how to do the project first

I enjoyed fabricating charcoal starters, dust pans, and learning the different types of seams and terminology for each tool located in the tool room. He is a great teacher all around, especially down to the detailed explanations. I enjoy the class and have gain great knowledge from Danny Aiu He is a very knowledgeable teacher who enjoys what he does. Great course and best teacher for it. - he's a great instructor - he's very passionate and caring about what his trade in the sheet metal industry - always helpful and is always around to answer any questions you might have. maybe be more respectful students and not talk down on them. Students are there to learn and should be treated with respect. I know that it can be like that in the field so his intentions is to get them ready for the field. But students are not in the field yet we are in school and came to learn the field of sheet metal. some students seem to catch on fast some don't. Physically i feel that the work is not hard, but mentally it can really mess with you. I liked how we got to make things and take home

I would definitely recommend Danny Aiu to other students for the way he teaches and explains how to get the answer. He's very open to every one and treats each and every student fairly with respect. First of all, the number one rule of shop is SAFETY! Over and over again safety first. If there is a student who did something they weren't supposed to be doing, he'll yell to that student what they are doing wrong so the whole class can hear and not make the same mistake that person just did. Encourage students to solve the problems on their own, and provide support when students need help. He is all over the classroom helping students who are struggling on work. always postive and tries to help out in anyway he can without doing too much same He helped when he see was needed and would walk around to check up on his students

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

i am an 43 year old student , i have been out of school for a very long time and coming back was not just a challage but fearful. Mr Aiu made me feel like a student. he help get into the mind set of a collage student and stay straight. he shows alots of concer of his future of his students I like everything about how he teaches his classes. Very understandable and considerate of everyone respectfully. I like his patience and support. I especially like how he makes us do the work the correct way from the beginning making us learn the correct way to do jobs. And then later on he will teach us a short cut here and there to make jobs get done faster. i loved everything about the way the course was taught was good I liked how it was understandable, but I didn't like it if he went to fast because then I get lost.

I've learned a lot over this past semester. There's the saying, "there is never a time where we don't learn. We are constantly learning new things each and everyday." Given students the opportunity to have a hands on experience Very fun and interesting great hands on course if you want to learn something new everyday. nothing

I would recommend Danny Aiu to other students because he does a great job at explaining the hard parts in an orderly fashion without confusion. He makes his answers clear to understand how to get that problem. He's laid back when we can take our time to do our projects. But when it's crunch time, he means business. Yes, a great instructor yes i recommed this class to anyone to go straight in to the shop and learn hands on rather than sit in a classroom and do book work. yes i would recommend Mr. Danny Aiu becasue he is a great intructor. always has a positive attitude and is always willing to teach something new if you ask. yes because he is a good teacher Yes, if you want to go into sheet metal or try how it is. This class was definitely about commitment. at the beginning of the semester we had a full class. Then, as the days and months went by, people started not coming to class. Others came to class early to finish their projects early to go home early. Most of us decided to not take a lunch break just so we can finish fabrication processes. no

22. How did the instructor show concern for students?

he stop and ask me about some of personal when i came to school and fail my chapter 11 test. i was not in the right state of mind. he jus ask what was with me. then gave me a make up on my test. Helped students when they have difficulties with their fabrication Always wants to know when a student gets a injury in class no matter how small. always here early. shows passion in what he does and he is always here to help he does He kept an eye on each student to see if they needed help or not Danny Aiu showed concern for students by helping us along the way in any complications we may have fabricating our projects together. He does a good job at explaining how to do it correct the first time. Also, he showed us some short cuts so we spend less time laying out on metal and more time putting it together.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

Learned many steps that would make my fabrication easier and more effective The class is never dull always up beat. i liked everything about the class. i liked learning about all the different types of materials used in the sheet metal industry. dislike drawings and elbow locks and test I liked how he was helpful and always showed us a better/ faster way of doing things. I liked everything about how he taught his course. As he shows examples of what we will be fabricating he makes it look so simple (which in reality it is) but actually isn't for first timers. But who doesn't like a challenge?

24. What else would you like to say about this instructor/course?

I enjoy the class and would like more time to work on projects. As a practice for class finals. Always has a smile on his face Great place to learn and grow if a student wants to go into the sheet metal and plastics industry/trade. none I enjoyed fabricating the dust pan, and charcoal starter. Much practice makes perfect. And I am able to do groove seams like a piece of cake. Elbow locks are still a challenge to put together.

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

Always, this is a very good class yes, he is very knowledgeable about the course he teaches. yes i would recommend Mr. Danny Aiu. i would recommend him because he is a great instructor. alwasys postive. and is passionate about his trade and everything that has to do with sheet metal. yes he is a good teacher Yes, because you are able to learn a lot and he teaches you some shortcuts which is really helpful I would recommend Danny Aiu to other students because he doesn't only teach the class well, he explains it within good reason and detail how to get it done. I say one wild card a day where Mr. Aiu helps you do a part of the project and then you do the rest.

Very helpful and patient hes always early to class always is willing to help no matter the circumstance is always passionate and caring about any situation he does He made sure all the students were able to do the work and see if they needed help, even if they didn't he would just check up on how they are doing and he is always available for those who need help or have any questions. He showed concern for his students by letting us know what we need to do by a certain deadline. He cares for all his students to do well in his class.

23. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?

Was always available when we need help Liked how he taught us the way we would be taught out in a apprenticeship, as in he just threw us into our work not asking what we knew how to do or anything he just expected us to know it but he did help us along the way so we all improved dramatically in the end i liked the fact that we could learn anything and everything we wanted as long as we asked a question. i liked how hands on the course was, and the variety of tools that were used throughout the semester everything I liked how he showed us some short cuts on how to do certain things which was neat. I actually liked everything about the way He taught his class. It was simple and straight to the point. I felt that we were getting a pile of projects that needed to be done. But, in the actual world, you would always be getting more and more projects to do. A never ending process of the real life.

24. What else would you like to say about this instructor/course?

Excellent class which I truly enjoyed and learned abundantly Never boring unless your stuck in the class doing 6-9 Drawings at a time its a great course and a perfect place for a student who wants to get into the sheet metal industry. great hands on work. and you learn something new every day nothing I liked how he really enforces safety which is really good and important I enjoy soldering. At first I didn't quite understand how it worked, but now it is easy. Patience is key and it will come out very clean. Safety first with safety glasses.

25. Would you recommend this instructor to other students? Why or why not?

Definitely This class is one the students will likely enjoy and gain knowledge to advance their career. yes, Anyone who loves to be hands on this is the way to go get thrown straight into your work make a mistake thats good because nows the time to make all the little mistakes we have to learn from them before we ever go out into the feild yes i would recommend Mr. Danny Aiu. because he is a great instructor, and is always there to help out in any way he can yes Yes, because he is a really good teacher and you will benefit in sheet metal if you enroll in his course. I would definitely recommend Danny Aiu to other students because his teaching skills go way off the charts. he makes the most difficult questions seem so easy to understand. Also, he explains in great detail how to get a specific answer.

26. Other comments:

i would like to have more on hands projects and a longer lab time. maybe have a new building with air conditions and new up to date sheet metal tools and equiments. there also would be nice to have guest speakers and some repersentative of the induster to come visit. Thank you for all you have done throughout this semester. See you next semester for more bigger challenges.
