7. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?

I learned the inner workings of business and management. The in class power points along with Ms. Blalock's lecturing was extremely helpful. The chapter homework problems in the test your knowledge section was very informative and I learned a lot. I developed important business skills in her class and realized that I have office and management skills I previously did not know I had. Ms. Blalock was very knowledgeable in her field.

25. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?

Her overall knowledge in business and business management was very helpful during her lectures. Her education and previous work experienced tied directly into what she was teaching us and it gave strength to what she was lecturing on. Her continued willingness to give and receive extra-credit work allowed me to test my skills of what I learned in her class as well as test myself on time management. She was very fair in regards to her homework and assignments.

26. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.

My only problem with this course is the group projects and that's only because so many students in the class just gave up and stopped coming. Making the group members who were left in the class on their own. Although I was fortunate to get the chance to work on my group project. It helped me to learn a lot about the inner workings of a large business as well as how to do proper research to learn about the business. I have no suggestions on how to make this portion any better. I think it is probably good though, it is just like the real world of business. You have no choice but to count on and rely on your team members and inevitably a few of them will let you down or leave you with no notice.

I really enjoyed this class and Ms. Blalock's teaching. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about the course material. I not only learned a lot about business inside and out I learned a lot about myself. The group participation and the group projects brought me out of my shell.

5. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?

ms. vera blalock taught me i could be a very good manager in the food and beverage field. ms blalock's method of teaching made me feel very comfortable and very easy for me to understand what needs to be done to become a great manager. there is nothing i can say to improve ms. blalock's class, but to say that she is nothing less than a great teacher.

the ending project really put alot of the concepts we've learned through out the semester to use. i understand the importance of working with other team members because that is the reality. When you work in a business as an executive, you brainstorm with other team members, but its quite difficult to get together with other team members in class. We all are full time students, and most of us are also full time workers. its hard to meet and fit everyones schedule. It sometimes leads some to do more work than others becuase they want the good grade. but it was a great project.

the most valuable and helpful in this class was the tours that we had to do outside the school. and the group project that we needed to do.

I learned about some very important food and business operations I got some experience as to what really goes on behind the scenes of a food and beverage operation.

What I found that was the most valuable about this course was that, it taught us how to open up a business of our own and how to communicate with other from our class. What I also thought was valuable about this class, was that Mrs. Blalock would take her students on field trips to restaurants hotels, and even gardens to show us how difficult it is to run a business and all the hard work it takes for that business to become successful. What I thought was helpful about this class was that Mrs. Blalock would assist us in class whenever we needed help by showing videos about things that we would learn from our books just to make sure we understood what we were learning.

Mrs. Blalock was very helpful with all the work we had to do. And she was very informational for class. I enjoyed her class alot.

Mrs. Blalock is very intellegnt and presents concepts from the book very well. She gives off a welcoming feeling that makes her students feel comfertable.

you can ask her anything outside the class. and she will be there to answer all the questions.

Mrs. Blalock always had an answer for any question that I was having a hard time with.

What I thought was most valuable about MRs. Blalock was that she was a one of a kind teacher and I've never had a teacher like her, Mrs. Blalock is a very caring and understanding person who doesn't judge a person because of who they are and she cares about every students concerns. Mrs. Blalock was a very helpful person becuase she would assist students when they needed help.

She is a very good teacher she teaches us in a very good manner

i highly appreciated the guest speakers, as well as field trips. I've been working in the food and beverage industry for a while now, and i can honestly say that i learned many new concepts and perspectives. Job well done!
