2. If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
Writing has always been a skill of mine that needed improvement. Even though this course was a required one, under Dr. Nye's tutelage I feel that my writing skills improved a lot. She helped me become a more organized fluid writer, a skill that is needed in the information technology sector.
This course was a nice refresher after a semester off from English classes. Nice to know that I am still capable of writing under pressure.

7. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
Learning how to construct sound arguments backed up by strong evidence was one of the most valuable aspects that I got from this course. The second item I learned from this class is how to generate arguments to appeal to people's Ethos, Pathos, and/or Logos; to help me persuade people to agree with what ever my thesis is. The third item that I thought was really valuable to me is how to find great sources for a research paper.
Was useful to have APA style beaten into our heads. I'll probably do more writing in the MLA style, but it's good to have knowledge of other styles.

I feel that Dr. Nye did an excellent job for the time she had during the summer semester. No improvement is needed for both the course and her teaching style/methods.
21. My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
Dr. Nye is an excellent teacher. In the beginning of the semester she informed us that she has not instructed a class for sometime and that she might be a bit rusty. I found no rust in her teaching methods at all. I guess once you have mastered that skill, no matter how long you are away from the game, you can call upon it with ease.

This course was great. It was short because it was a summer course, but I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot and my writing has improved.

Dr. Nye doesn't let me get away with half-baked efforts at writing. Also, her comments address specific issues with my papers. Oh, and she's a brass player. That's just awesome. :]
