19. If you were teaching this course:
a. What would you do to improve it?
b. What would you change?
|
| I would want more class examples to be shown. |
| Teach how to use a camera and explain camera composition (angles, rules of thirds, etc) as well as
basic fundamentals.
Only teach iMovie program to grasp concept of edit; and save Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro for
an advanced class. |
| Nothing. Nothing. |
| the time given to complete a project. |
| A little more time on final cut pro as it is overwhelming during the last fazes of class and not much
experience with it. More actual instructions on different effects etc rather than a mini project to get
to know program. |
| I am thankful that there were cameras and other equipment available for students to borrow.
Maybe in the future I would try to push for higher quality cameras. |
| I would spend more time on Final Cut Pro |
| a. I would give out criteria sheets so you knew what standards to meet, and what to do to acheive a
high grade. |
| I would speak to individual students regarding individual matters, rather than lecture the whole
class. |
| Mr. Kraft is awesome! |
|
|
20. What do you think of the teacher and his/her teaching methods?
|
| I would say clear and insightful. |
| Awesome, fair and fun.
Violet made the right decision for Rob Kraft to take over. |
| Very professional. |
| it was satisfactory. |
| I like the use of different films and footage to give the students different ideas for the projects and
introduction to new ideas and concepts.
More in class instructions on how to use different applications of programs needed tho (mainly for
FCP) |
| He knew the subject very well, and he interacted with the students in a comfortable and
professional manner. |
| I think that Mr Kraft was okay and if he came in from the beginning of the semester I think we may have done more interesting assignments. |
| Violet is a very talented artist. I felt like she didn't like me very much, and because of it, I feel like
I'm going to get a low grade. I was late a lot, but that's because I don't have a vehicle, so I depend
on other people and public transportation (which isn't very reliable). I explained it to her, but yet it
seemed like she didn't listen, ever. |
| ok. |
| Mr. Kraft is Awesome! |
|
|
21. Has he/she contributed to your general knowledge or to learning job skills?
|
| Yes I understand more about and how to use the movie making
vocabulary. |
| N/A |
| Very much so. |
| yes they have! |
| The field trips and key note speakers were VERY helpful in this aspect. Great information and very
insightful |
| All information, comments, and opinions were very constructive and useful in the career path that I
am taking. He had really good references, and he took his job seriously. |
| somewhat |
| Yes, Rob and Violet taught us how to use all sorts of different programs, and helped us to make our
films better. |
| yes. |
| Mr. Kraft is awesome! |
|
|
22. Other comments:
|
| Interesting class. |
| Awesome class, gave me an opportunity to present my knowledge and natural talent towards Video
Production.
Rob Kraft was a fun and helpful teacher, looking forward to being his student again, next semester. |
| Very enjoyable class. Stressful at times with challenges of projects but good kine. I love the
freedom we get with most projects and the atmosphere is very encouraging as well as great for
inspiration.
More key note speakers as they have LOTS of share about the business on the Big Island/Hawai'i in
general |
| He had very good input, and I enjoyed working with a man of his knowledge. |
| I'm not sure how they grade our films...some of the grades I got seemed very unfair (no F's or D's)
they said it was the shakiness of the camera...but that's my style. Criteria sheets, i think, are
extremely necessary in this class. |
| We, as a class, was lectured for about 30 minutes regarding attendance--tardies and no-shows. I
believe this was inappropriate. I am paying to be here--it is my choice to be here or not. The
consequences follow, and I would be the one to pay for my choices.
Also, it was quite counterproductive to have this lecture. Wouldn't you know--the ones that are
chronically tardy did not here a single thing on this lecture--THEY WERE TARDY!!! :( |
